halone (8/5): Good stay but a bit overpriced for one night - We stayed here for one night and overall had a good experience. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful, which made a positive first impression. The room was a decent size, comfortable, and had a nice view to street. However, we felt the price was quite high for what was offered, especially as breakfast was not included. Another downside was the noise from the tram and the street outside (including horses passing), which could be disturbing at times. Overall a good stay, but slightly overpriced for one night.

nem014 (8/5): Lovely hotel but…. - We loved this hotel for many reasons- location, staff, beautiful decor… however. I know Italy isn’t really big on air conditioning but the room was so hot & stuffy. There is an AC controller on the wall, but clearly doesn’t do anything. It was warm outside during the day but chilly at night, so we opened the balcony door to try and cool the room down, but then it’s noisy from the cars & trams outside. This was in March- god only knows what it would be like in the height of summer. Also the WiFi didn’t work at all during our stay, not really a big deal for us but some people might rely on it. But please- sort out the room temperature, I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you need aircon.

La mia stanza era molto rumorosa perché in prossimità di tubature enormi che si accendevano e spegnevano per tutta la notte. La colazione, per quanto buono il cibo come qualità è molto apprezzabile l’enorme scelta, era disorganizzata con gli alimenti che finiscono (pane, yogurt, formaggi…) e dalla cucina ci mettono troppo tempo a ripristinarli costringendo gli ospiti ad aspettare .
M6141VNmarianal (10/5): Great hotel, well located, Delicious Breakfast, Attentive & Kind Staff - Stayed from the 1st to the 6th of February and couldn't have better experience! Every staff member was very welcoming. Each time we walked by the reception the staff would look at us and greet us. The room was lovely, very well decorated and with good amenities and spotless clean everyday. Breakfast food was amazing and had a lot of variety! The Location is perfect, very close to the stop of the tram T2 from the airport and can easily walk to all the tourist attractions. We have to highlight: Tommaso from the Front Desk. He checked us in, was wonderful, very helpful and friendly and checked us in smoothly. Pier Francisco from the breakfast, who greeted us in the morning was also very friendly, helpful and attentive. He recognized I was also a colleague from IHG, showed interest, and also questioned if we were enjoying our time and the city :) The lady from the restaurant (sadly I didn't catch her name), who attended to us on the evening of the 1st of February was very kind and professional. She explained us the courses we were choosing, the wine and also the tiramissu - which shows not only that she knows very well the menu and what she is serving but also that she wanted us to know how the courses we were choosing were made and also how their dishes are different. Overall couldn't have been a better stay! Will recommend this hotel to everyone who goes to Florence!
JohnBBeta (8/5): Lovely hotel BUT room was insanely horribly uncomfortably HOT HOT HOT & no solution - Breakfast great. Staff all lovely. Common areas nice and clean. Room clean. Good facilities. Hotel noticed it was my wife's birthday and brought a nice cake out when we were having breakfast - really appreciated the gesture. Housekeeping were great - we didn't need room doing when we were there for 4 nights so just put the DND sign on the door and they respected us and didn't bother us - thank you! Hotel generally quiet - could hear clonking around from the room above but the room was well insulated from noise in corridor or next door rooms. Hotel v helpful with looking after bags when we arrived early, and called to let us know when the room was available. Also upgraded us as were IHG frequent travellers. Everything was spot on 10/10 apart from... THE TEMPERATURE! BUT - room (429) was insanely uncomfortably hot. I cannot stress how unconfortably hot it was. We had to sleep with no covers on us and were still sweating & couldn't sleep much at all. Really really badly effected our stay. Air conditioning didn't work - was set to HEAT mode in central system and apparently nothing hotel could do other than give us a fan. No note on the thermostat in the room to mention this so even though on arrival we set it to -2 degrees, to cool the room, it turned out it was just pumping out hot air. Asked front desk, they said they would turn off the heat. For the next day the AC fan just didn't work - so I just left it off. Room still insanely hot. Left it that way for rest of trip. This is February, not freezing outside, or hot either. Outside temp was about 14 - not particularly hot or cold. We didn't make a fuss other than ask front desk if our AC was broken - and got a fan for the final of our 4 night stay, helped a bit but was still way too hot - didn't want to make a fuss as was wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary, so I kept a lid on how disappointed & sad about it I was, as did my wife. We had a lovely time in florence regardless, but not the restful sleep we'd hoped for - and is a pretty basic expectation for a decent IHG hotel like this. I'd recommend the hotel manager spend a night in that room, take a thermometer. Just have a normal functioning AC like you'd expect. (Had to have window closed at night as room was facing front with road and trams going past. ) Anyway, hotel was lovely apart from that - please sort out your AC system though. If you do please let us know as we WOULD stay again, but not until then. Thanks x

The actual doorway is really skinny where only one person can get through at a time and the shower, for a disability room, was particularly difficult to navigate when it came to showering. FFM9 (10/5): Very nice boutique hotel, but pricey - Very well situated kind of boutique feeling hôtel, 200m behind the train station, 100m to the ligh rail station leading to the airport, in a calm street and across a renaissance cloister. Albeit i m platinum, they weren't willing to upgrade me, despite an half empty venue, the IHG app was showing plenty of availability, so I kindly insisted, then they obliged to and set me in a lovely room on the 5th floor, with a balcony, street facing, with a view to the cloister and the Tuscany hills, the room was lovely, modernish, rather large circa 20sqm. However not cleaned, and the floor littered with hair and some crumbs from the former guests. A maid came and sorted it out, and replenished the nespresso machine too (I was working from the room and drinking coffee). Then i faced a serious hazard in the room, a loud noise came from the entry ceiling plates, serving as an access point to the AC unit, when I approached it detached itself and almost hit me, luckily not, but seriously dented the wall. A maintenance technician came and fixed it, or tried to, as he had to come back thrice, the ceiling metal plates couldn't be properly attached. They offered to change me room, but I was settled and staying 1 single night, so I did not feel moving and instead theu compensates me well, recognising the issues were totally un appropriate for this venue level and price range (275€ a night !). The hotel has an 8m/10m long pool in the inyard, but it gets the sun mostly between 11h to 16h due to the high buildings around, but nice to have in Florence center in the summer. There is as well a gym, a pingpong table indoor and a table soccer game too, very nice with kids. Breakfast was very good and is serves in their lovely ground floor restaurant. Their desk manager was customer centric, and if it wasn't for the upgrade "discussion" upon check in, which normally they should have prepared seeing the wide number or available rooms, I would give them 5/5 on service, despite the safety issues, which seemed to be a known phenomenon. The hotel is super quiet, the rooms are modern and pleasant and comfy, the only advantage was the walkable distance to the old town and the small pool, but I don't think it is worth this money, compared to the other 4stars hotel I have previously used, 20mns away from the center by tram, across atram stop to the center, at almost half the price and includes the parking in its room price, and classy and cleaner rooms. Price for value doesn't seem to be adequate for me here, way too expensive for a 4 stars, but normally a good hotel (if you dont run into the same hazard as me) and friendly staff anyway.

We had a balcony which had incredible views of the sunset. Breakfast items were really good quality. Cosy feel to the place. Man on check in was excellent. As a loyal and long-standing Ambassador of the IHG brand, my experience at Hotel Indigo Florence was, without a doubt, the most unsatisfactory I have ever encountered across the entire IHG portfolio.The primary issue during my stay was the extreme and uncomfortable temperature of my room. Despite it being the middle of winter, the heating was set to such a high level that it was impossible to get a restful night's sleep. The room felt more like an oven than a comfortable living space. While I understand that air conditioning may not be available during this season, the excessive heating made the room uninhabitable. Opening the window provided little to no relief from the oppressive heat.When I brought this issue to the attention of the duty manager, I was met with a simple apology and an admission of being unable to resolve the problem. I was advised to direct my complaint to “the big boss,” which I found to be a dismissive and unhelpful response. The lack of a proactive solution or any attempt to mitigate the discomfort was deeply disappointing and not what I expect from a hotel of this caliber.Furthermore, the overall level of service I received during my stay was far below the standards I have come to expect from IHG and the Indigo brand. The dismissive attitude of the staff and the failure to address a critical issue affecting my well-being have left a lasting negative impression. This experience has, in my opinion, tarnished the reputation of both the Indigo and IHG brands.I have since read other guest reviews and noticed that my complaint about the excessive room heat is not an isolated incident. This suggests a recurring problem that the hotel management has yet to address effectively. The standard apology in response to these reviews, without any tangible action, is not sufficient.I trust you will take this complaint seriously and investigate the issues I have raised. Located on a road which is a combined tramway this is slightly off the beaten track but also close to the main station and about 20 mins walk from historic centre of the city. Staff could not be more helpful and bar is a lovely place for cocktails.

It is near the train station but don't be put off - no unwanted noise. Has safe underground parking so you can drive right in or walk 100m from the station. Very good value, rooms are comfortable, restaurant is very good. Stayed 3 nights and would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to anyone.

Christian (10/5): It’s a super comfy city stay, perfect for families, and a lovely place to be! - Wow, this hotel is super fancy and has all the perks for business travellers! The underground car park was a lifesaver for us. The breakfast is amazing, and dogs are welcome too! The fitness room is functional and small but has everything you need for a quick city trip. Our family suite on the 6th floor was fantastic, with two double beds (and one couch bed!) and a cute little top-terrace. It’s super clean and well-maintained by the incredibly friendly staff. Just so you know, there’s no ELV charging available on-site if you’re using Youz.

The pool and games area was great fun for my 11 yr old after a day of sightseeing. The location is great in terms of proximity to all the sites (only 10 minute walk to Duomo), however you do need to pass via SMN Station which can be a bit scary at night.

It's the perfect base for exploring the city. We stayed in a premium room with a balcony. The room was super comfortable, modern and beautifully decorated. We especially appreciated the little touches — an espresso machine for our morning coffee and a well-stocked minibar. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence!

Tamara (10/5): Lovely, comfortable, clean hotel - Location was right outside of the heart of the city so the hotel was quiet but a short walk to restaurants, sites, and other major attractions. They also had free, secure parking. The room was very comfortable and clean. The check in process and bag check was easy with friendly attentive staff and they provided a restaurant recommendation for dinner. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure was strong. Nothing! Although the towel warmer was not turned on and is only turned on during cooler months of the year. Love having a warm towel so a minor disappointment.
Ravenna2006 (6/5): An OK hotel. Shrewd business decision buy hotel owners to switch hotel brand - Spent 5 nights at the hotel for a family event in Firenze. As someone who stays at hotels worldwide around 5-6 months a year and having achieved elevated lifetime status with major hotel chains, the decisions of the owners of this property to switch to the IHG Indigo brand was a shrewd decision as it will attract a lot of international guests. This involved a major refresh and refit of the hotel in the Indigo ‘house style’. Check-in was smooth and Dario was kind enough to find a room for me at 11.45 in the morning. I didn’t receive an upgraded room (I booked a standard room) so the space itself was around 22 sqm. The room had a balcony but with a noisy tram line and road below, I couldn’t really benefit from the extra space. The bathroom was ok. It still had a step-in bath tub while a walk in shower would have been better. The bed was comfy but the pillows were not the softest. Wardrobe space and shelving was very adequate and unlike many Italian hotels had an ironing board and iron available in all rooms (as per IHG standards). Rooms were cleaned thoroughly everyday and water bottles replaced every day. I chose to pay an extra 18euro per day for breakfast and in hindsight, I shouldn’t have. The food selection was repetitive and when I arrived later in the breakfast time, the choice was even thinner. The staff were friendly in the breakfast room. You can get a top class breakfast (outstanding coffee, pastries etc) at one of the many excellent cafes in Firenze for 18 euro so unless you must, avoid breakfast. The gym is small and not really extensive enough for folks with complex exercise routines but was fine for cardio and limited strength training. The reality is that the hotel location close to the main railway station and association with IHG branding means that the property will likely prosper. The room rate in early October at 400 euro/night for a standard room is not cheap but compared to other international hotel brands in the same segment is competitive. As someone who books a fully flexible rate and typically routinely checks for better room rates and switches if necessary, I was unable to do so for this trip so the hotel has good control over inventory in my view. On the people I met at the hotel, 5* goes to Dario on the front desk. The hotel management should try hard to retain him. He has a sense of hospitality and professionalism which is not easy to find these days. As with many visitors to Firenze, I spent most of the day away from my room wandering around the spectacular city thus overall, the hotel was OK. I have been fortunate to stay at more elevated properties in Firenze such as the St. Regis in the past and Indigo is not substantially worse than them but it’s not going to leave a lasting impression for me either.

The room was a good size with plenty of space to have two large suitcases open without compromising on space to move around. The room had a rail in the room where we could hang clothes which was a fabulous idea for two women who like to spread out. General service throughout the Hotel was great, room cleanliness was excellent and the location, although a bit of a walk to the city centre was probably preferable than staying in the very busy town centre. A great stay!

Lynsey (10/5): A perfect stay in Florence. - This was one of our favourite stopovers on our three week trip around Italy. We thought the hotel, staff and facilities were all excellent and such good value for money. There were so many little extra touches in our room we didn’t expect and really appreciated. We had lunch in the hotel restaurant when we arrived and breakfast the next morning and the food was fantastic. The staff really looked after our son who has a dairy allergy which is a huge bonus for us, especially in Europe. There are lots of landmarks close by which we wandered to in the evening and we had a dip in the modest but clean and inviting pool before we left in the morning. A wonderful stay. Would definitely return. No complaints from us here 🙂

640stuartl (8/5): Clean, friendly , centrally located - What you see is what you get. Affordable price , friendly service and a swimming pool for the end of the day after the summer heat of Florence. Although the building itself is a bit dated it’s a close walk to all the central sights of the city. The staff are accommodating and helpful. There are better hotels at a much higher price but for a few nights in a clean budget friendly hotel you can’t do much better than this.

James (10/5): - We stayed here for 3 days prior to a wedding. While its not directly "downtown" City Center, its an EASY walk to that and thus also not "downtown" cost wise and noise wise. Exit the front door, turn left, when you hit the tran station follow it around the curve and that curved road will lead you right down to the city center, Duomo plaza, from there there are signposts for everything else. The (outdoor) pool area is surprisingly great for a city center hotel. Very nice courtyard, chairs, small cabanas, a really nice hang. The gym is small, but if you want to get something done its perfectly serviceable. We did not eat at the restaurant nor drink at the bar so I cant comment on that. The breakfast is very nice, completely worth the upgrade in cost. Hotel staff are amazing, so nice, so helpful. Taxis are a 5 minute call from the front desk. Taxis are way better in both availability and cost than Uber in Florence. Forget Uber, just ask the front desk to get you a cab. Rooms are pretty typical "Euro Small" if you are used to US hotels, but as long as you know that going in, you will be fine. If you have never been to Europe before, well it takes a little getting used to, if you are a seasoned European traveller, the room is actually larger than most. The added upgrade of a Balconey Room was a godsend in space and also the balcony itself was a great place to sit and have a quiet moment. I'd stay here again in a second.

And of corse, they denied my refund for the room I never reserved or use. Instead of booked premium room I got basic room. On top of that, the place was dirty, with blood on the floor in bathroom and a broken shower. Staff couldn’t properly communicate in English and offered no solutions or care. This is not a small mistake, it is fraudulent and negligent behavior. Management must urgently address both the cleanliness and the unethical billing practices. Until then, this property deserves one star only.

Emma (10/5): Wonderful stay in Florenec - We loved this hotel. The decor was beautiful and the rooms were stylish and super comfy. The pool was a lovely addition and although it's small, it was never busy. Breakfast was delicious and again not too busy at all. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great. We came in from Milan on the train and it was super convenient from the central station. We walked to all the main sites,none of which were more than 20 or so minutes away. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again. Nothing, it was all great.

La salle de bains était grande et agréable,le lit confortable. Hôtel propre et joli. La piscine était très agréable ainsi que les transats,la table de ping pong et le baby foot sont un plus avec les enfants. Nous n avons pas utilisé la salle de sport car nous n' avions pas nos affaires de sport mais elle avait l air super. Le tram est à proximité et le centre de Florence aussi Il manque peut-être un étendoir pour les maillots de bain.
