Guest Reviews
- Sylvie (10/5): - Tout etait parfait !
- Yenny (10/5): - Staff was very friendly. The room was spacious and clean. Great location. Would recommend!
- Majeed (8/5): - Mohamad at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was quite small. The hotel offers bare bones but ok for busy tourists. One only needs a bed and shower, which the hotel room provides. Nothing luxurious here, and everything is quite compact.
- Catherine (10/5): - Property very convenient to train station and Montmartre.
- Caroline (8/5): - Great location! Room is small.
- Lise (10/5): - Très bien,
Petit-déjeuner très bon et varié
- Karen (6/5): - Convenient location, comfortable bed, no blackout curtains, so no sleeping in. Small but adequate. Great shower, but not for larger ppl. The shower leaked all over the floor. Not a big deal, but made for some wet socks.
- Laupule (10/5): - Stayed 4 nights and all the staff I interacted with from the reception desk, cleaning crew and to those looking after the breakfast buffet were lovely and helpful. It is located less than a 5 min walk from Saint Lazare station which is a bonus for travelling by train to Normandy. The room was spacious enough for one person and has a lift. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and came with many options. I added this to my booking later for the rest of my stay as it was a good way to start each day before heading out to see the sights. It is away located away from all the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas but is still central to get everywhere. I would definitely recommend staying here.
- Jesus Nicol (8/5): - Location conveniently walkable to Waterloo Train station and Tootbus Hop on and off busses for exploring Paris major attractions.
- Alistair (8/5): - Nice simple hotel in a great area to eat out at night and good transport links across Paris. It is only 5 mins walk from Gare Saint-Lazare which has metro, RER & mainline trains. My only problem was a leaking shower that flooded the bathroom but it was only the hotel’s towels and mats that got soaked and the staff very kind and efficient when I reported the issue.
- Francisco (10/5): - Nice and clean
- John (10/5): - Staff were great. Very good breakfast for a reasonable price. Very clean rooms. Very good value for the money.
- Isabel (10/5): - Very well located to transportation.
- Leena (10/5): - Upon arrival the person working at the desk was not very helpful. I had spoken to him over the phone prior to arriving regarding parking and he was rude. Once we got there to check in he was rude again. The room and are was great but customer service was unpleasant.
- Diana (4/5): - The food was terrible. They gave us a room in the basement and it felt claustrophobic. There was construction taking place inside. Walls are very thin. However the staff was friendly.
- LAN (10/5): - Very friendly staffs. They let us check in earlier which is very helpful for whom just arrived Paris and have flied more than 20 hours to reach there.
They also offered us a kettle, so we can have some hot water to drink.
Very nice stay and we will definitely come back to this hotel for our next trip.
- Edwin J (6/5): - The hotel was ok. I just don’t like the beds. They gave two small beds putting together to make it look like a queen size. It was so uncomfortable to sleep in those beds
- Hing Tong (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and quiet. Highly recommended.
- Mary (10/5): Excellent - Lovely hotel one of the best yet
Great massage and spa thankyiu
- Andrea (10/5): - Great hotel ! Great location !
- Troy (6/5): - Clean hotel but very small rooms like most small hotels in Paris. Reserved a two bed room and was given one bed. If looking for two beds confirm ahead of time that that type of room would be available
- Simon (10/5): - Loved the rooms and location. Very clean and super friendly staff!
- nancy (10/5): - The location is ideal for transit via Saint Lazare, walking and metro around the city. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We were able to store our luggage before check in and borrowed an iron and board.
They also helped us reserve a taxi.
- Becca (10/5): Will stay again if in Paris - Very convenient to Saint-Lazarre for multiple Metro lines, buses and long-distance trains. Busy neighborhood so felt safe even at night walking alone, but hotel was quiet (no street noise). Clean and comfortable.
- Guillermo (10/5): - The perplejo in front desk provide me a very good service
- kenneth (10/5): - The staff was the best! Spoke English and very helpful!
- Gabriella (8/5): Good stay for the price - Starting with the positives, the service was fantastic and the breakfast was very good. It is located very close to two metro stations and plenty of restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The cons were mostly out of their control, but it is worth stating. It was hard to get good sleep because our neighbors on all sides were loud throughout the night. There is no real thermostat control which led to us feeling warm all night. Finally, the wifi was unreliable.
Overall, I would recommend it if you can get a good price and you’re willing to take the metro to the main landmarks.
- T C (10/5): Nice and centric stay - Hotel is very well located in a calm-safe area, a block away from supermarkets, malls and trains, plus walking distance from the Opera and Sacred Coeur.
The staff is very gentil, speak many languages, and assists you 24/7. The rooms are clean and confortable, nice view even for internal rooms.
- Julia (4/5): - We were given a room on the main floor where the window opened to a drainage crevice. It wasn't the "city views" described, or what we'd expect from a 3 star hotel at the rate we paid. The room was 15C when we arrived and couldn't be turned off air conditioning. The staff member was kind enough to provide a heater. The shower wall was too short, so the bathroom floor was covered in water after a shower. The breakfast charges were supposed to be included in the price (as shown in my expedia receipt), but were charged at 13 euros each after we left. Positives: the bed was comfortable, the location was good, the room was clean. Parking was a long distance away if we were to use a parkade. We found street parking only a five minute walk away for the weekend days. There was no way to stop next to the hotel to unload the lugguage, which was a pain in the rain. There should have been an easy covid-friendly option to have breakfast in our room instead of in a common area. Covid care was really disappointing. Mask wearing was not enforced in the common areas. We were not asked for a QR covid health code, so masks should have been more seriously enforced.
- John (2/5): - Staff was very rude... room wasn’t properly cleaned once in four nights, very loud, shower broke twice, room was excessively hot.
- A (10/5): - Small room but very comfortable and clean. Great bathroom. Wish there was hair conditioner and a larger tv.
- Natacha (4/5): - No ac Working in the rooms , I stay 3 nights and was 26 c in the room , the answer was , is not summer just open the windows, when you open windows, noice all night!!! We can’t sleep!!!
- irene (10/5): Super clean-great staff - 5min. to Lazare train/me - Super clean - great staff - 5min. walk to Lazare train/ metro. I'd go there again!
- James (6/5): Great staff, but not getting the resident amenity - Lovely staff who are anxious to please. Problems with waste disposal with the garden court yard being used to hold waste from the restaurant and building materials. By rubbish bags and bags of rubbish were piled up i the court yard. Totally unacceptable. View from the room of the unpainted pipes and back of the building was very poor. Peeling paint is not what you expect from a good hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Will be back - lovely little hotel so close to Boulevard Haussman and easy to use as a base for everything in Paris! Great breakfast too.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was much better than I thought.
It was very quite in the room.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Mariana (8/5): - Hôtel agréable et propre. Le seul bémol était la connexion wifi très lente.
- Daryl (8/5): Good, solid hotel - Hotel Exe Paris is located just 2 mins from Liege station, making it easy to get to the hotel with luggage. The concierge staff was helpful through my 5-day stay. The main challenge at this hotel is the one tiny lift. It could only fir me & partner plus 2 pieces of luggage. so guests will definitely need to be patient or avoid the lift at crowds hours.
overall, it was a pleasant stay!
- Marie-Pascale (10/5): Stylish comfort next to train station - Great location steps away from Saint Lazare train station. Quiet and super clean and comfortable.
- Patrick John (8/5): - Small room but clean and recently renovated. friendly and efficient staff. Ideally located next to Train station St. Lazare.
However, can hear the elevator going up and down (wires)
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Property was under construction and one of rhe 2 small elevators was always neing utilized by the construction crew and covered with cardboard. The room are way too small and pictures misleading and the beds were way too hard making it impossible to sleep the two nights we were there.
- Jacinthe (6/5): Renovated, very small room , no coffee maker. - Room is very small, bathroom is of large size though for what you would expect in France. Very clean. No coffee maker or kettle in the room was disappointing. Comfortable bed. Renovated hotel
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I love the quiet and smallness of it. It’s very beautiful in a way that is very unexpected.
- Concepcion (10/5): - It was perfect for our trip thanks
- omar (2/5): - Where do I even start. Let me just say I will never go back to this place and i would not recommend it to anyone. Worst experience ever. I was in Paris for one night, went online and booked a room at this location. I arrived very tired from my trip, walk up to the front desk to check in, the overnight guy in the front desk (in his mid to late 50's) does not acknowledge nor greet me properly. I let him know that I made a reservation online and he tells me that he is unable to locate it and that there are no rooms available. I gave him a confirmation number for my reservation and he did not accept it nor attempt to locate my reservation. I waited in the front desk for at least 30 min to sort this out. Finally, he finds my reservation, and rudely asks me to go up to the room to make sure it is clean and come back to let him know? I was shocked by his request. I went up to the room, it was not clean and because I was so tired and just wanted to rest, I slept in a filthy room. In addition, i asked for the code for the wifi. He gave me the wrong password, when i called to let him know it was not working, he yelled at me and rudely said: "What do you want me to do" and hang up on my face. I came down to resolve this and he was sleeping in his desk. Bottom Line: Worst experience of my life. The level of unprofessionalism was beyond horrible and I will never EVER stay in this hotel nor recommend it. Thanks for making my one night in Paris a nightmare. Un grand cauchemar!
- Marissa (10/5): - I liked the location, there were many close restaurants and just a couple minutes walk from a metro station (St Lazare I think). Although, Paris is much larger than I anticipated to we used a chauffeur service often, but the metro system wasn’t terribly hard to figure out when we needed it. The room and restroom were clean. I’d recommend this hotel.
- German (6/5): - Check in was a great experience and we were really happy with the gentleman who help us during the process. Courteous and helpful with every detail. Open to respond all the inquires we had at this moments. A great advantage with his communication skills English and Spanish. However by the time we check out we got a really bad time with a man with a bad attitude and lack of knowledge of what he was doing. He requested to pay a fee for 3 night when we just stayed one night at the hotel. We had an argument that delay the process and we lost the train. I asked for his name and refused to provide his name. I can believe you hire this type of person.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cigarette smell in the room. - Ventilation is bad. Always have cigarette smell in the room as if someone is smoking in the room, I have to switch off the air conditioning to reduce the smell
- Bert (10/5): - From start to finish, we had a positive experience. Very clean and well-kept hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast had a wide selection of food. We would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cute hotel, great for price - The hotel is extremely cute, with a great location. While it isn’t exactly in central Paris, there is a lot to do nearby. Unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn’t working fully and the woman at the front desk was somewhat rude (though the man was a delight).
- Tom (2/5): Yuck - Very poor. Tatty, tiny rooms and ridiculously overpriced. A 2 star hotel at best. The pictures are very misleading
- EDWIN (2/5): Overbooked - Hotel was overbooked. Sent us to affiliated hotel in different neighborhood. Driver got lost trying to find new hotel
- Nosh (6/5): - It’s okay based on the rating of the hotel. Good location but the hotel itself is not the best.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Downtown and close to everything. Clean and hotel staff is helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location, nice and pleasent room - Good hotel, good location. Two subway lines near the hotel. Reception desk are very nice and help with city instruction.
Small room, but like all rooms in Paris. Clean and pleasent room. We enjoyed our stay.
- eden (8/5): Small room but comfortable - Nice close to the mall and transportation accecible
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Frendly staff , good breakfast, a little surprised with the location ( hoped for better location , more plasent).
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - Enjoyed the hotel. Room was small but that’s to be expected. Good location. Nice staff and clean facility. Would recommend.
- Julie (10/5): - AMAZING HOTEL! Clean and comphy, balconies, central location, yummy breakfast. Would definitely recommend
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice hotel, and staff was helpful. The room was big and clean.
- E (8/5): Checking out takes time! - Nice. The only issue is the check-out process (not the usual key drop off). Guests with all kind of "urgent" requests keep showing up and the agent is not letting you go. Prepare some money to pay the city tax, and get ready to wait because guests can be served not in the order they come (?). I was in panick on my way to the airport, so nerve wrecking (((
Check-in was easy though, the Thursday noon agent was very welcoming, thank you!!! I would come back (checking out well ahead to avoid the stress of tardiness)
- zafar (6/5): Small hotel and rooms. Metro noise. Not too bad. - Hotel is OK if you’re staying out the whole day and just coming back to sleep. This is what I did. Beds could have been more comfortable. Metro station is close by which is good but bad because you can hear them and even feel the vibrations. My room was floor 1 maybe people on floors above won’t have that problem? Overall satisfactory if you’re not going to be spending much time in the room and want to explore the city. Some nice cafe’s around the area and 15 mins walk from Galeries La Fayette which is good too. €10-25 Euro ride to Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees. Sacre coeur is close about €6 Euro on uber. Stayed in Feb 2018.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Comfortable hotel in a great location - Clean room, great location, uncomfortable bed, and poor wifi service.
- Flavia Maristela Santos (8/5): - Bedroom with reasonable size for a good price considering the location in Paris (near Opera region).
- Siu (6/5): Relocated! - When we arrived to the hotel nearly mid-night, the front desk told us that our room has problem which needed to transfer us to another hotel under same company, and will pay for taxi fee and free breakfast for following stays. We were kind of no choice, so we took taxi and went another hotel. Honestly the arrangement was fine for us and the only 1 thing is the other hotel's room is smaller than we booked.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - it is in a center of every thing, walking distance,i enjoyed a lot and i would stay there again
- eddie (4/5): smallest room, so tiny, bathroom no space. - I find it to be to small of a room and bathroom, some of the staff was ok. I was stop by one staff to ask my room number and if I was staying at the hotel, I find that to be strange.
- Showay (8/5): Neat little hotel near train station - The room is small, NOT 215 as stated in website, but more like 152 sq. ft.
Though the hotel is nice and neat, the area is not so nice as it's close to the train station.
The room has a dressing mirror which is good, but one of the elevator was out of order.
The air-condition works fine because we had to close the window due to the street noise.
We booked the airport shuttle, but it was delayed and we had to take a taxi to CDG, The hotel
staff told us it was 57 euro fixed, but the taxi driver charged us 64 euros. At least we
didn't miss the flight back to the US.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Location - Room is smaller, but very clean. The staff was friendly.
Location was great, very close to the Opera House and the metro.
- Imran Fawaz (8/5): A bit chilly, but great hotel! - It is actually a very nice hotel. My only issue was that the heater wasn't working in my room and it was getting a bit cold in Paris. To be honest it wasn't so bad that I actually had time to notify the reception about it, but it would have been just a bit more pleasant with a little more heat after a long day out in Paris.
However the hotel is nicely situated, staff is nice and the hotel has a fresh and modern look which I really liked. Compared to other hotels in the area I think this hotel is great value for your money.
- linda (4/5): Not worth the stay at all - Beds are old and feel like wood, bathrooms are old, we had many issues during our stay, too many to mention. For one night and if it's the only hotel in Paris... then it's ok. Otherwise don't do it...
- Umar (2/5): Not good - The room was so small as compared to the images displayed in advert.
Though the bed was soft but it's was hardly enough for one person and unfortunately it was not a good experience for us.
In room facilities was not adequate as other hotels provides. Especially the tea maker or kettle to make hot water, microwave etc.
Bathroom is so small and doesn't match the image displayed in advert.
- James (10/5): Attractive and friendly hotel - The hotel was relatively easy to find when leaving the local station. We were pleasantly greeted and the receptionist was very helpful. Fortunately for us we were able to check in early which we were grateful for.
The hotel has a unique boutique type feel to it with exposed brick walls and modern furniture. The room was everything we needed. We were very tired every day so I can't guarantee but the bed was so comfy it wasn't hard to fall asleep quickly.
I had booked the hotel as it seemed fairly central. In all honesty it's not and unless you are a keen walker or intend to loiter around Montmartre it's not walking distance to the Eiffel Tower etc. Uber however is very efficient in Paris and suited us well. The only slight downside was the breakfast. €12 each and I wasn't blown away. I would've liked more of a cooked breakfast rather than just bacon, beans and scrambled egg. However, you are in France and so there were plenty of Danishes etc.
All in all lovely place made so by the friendly staff. We would be torn on whether or not to go back to the hotel if visiting Paris as we might elect for something a bit more central...price obviously wouldn't work out as good as this though. I guess thinking about it, book this hotel and just purchase a 'on/off' coach pass to visit the sites.
Go down to the river cruise late in the evening 22.30ish. Boat is empty, splash out on the champagne and enjoy a romantic river cruise of the sites.
Thanks for the stay!
- Verified traveler (6/5): First time - I wouldn't recommend this hotel or area, very basic and hotel services are overpriced. The area doesn't seem safe! There are far better places to stay in Paris, also location is far from everything.
- Mohd (4/5): Better options out there - Would not stay there again. Better value for money out there.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good staff and location. - Very happy with the staff. They were very helpfull.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel was very clean and in a very good location.
- Kat (10/5): Hotel in the heart of the city - Rooms were small, but that's to be expected in a city center. Close to the metro and basically everything else. Staff very polite and friendly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location, nothing fancy - We enjoyed this hotel primarily for the location as it worked well for us for the weekend. It was not a terrible hotel by any means, but I found the bed really hard and the walls very thin. I could hear everything through the walls and I found it difficult to sleep at times. It was clean though and staff were friendly.
- Aspice (8/5): Good hotel close to everything. - Great expreience staying in this hotel, staff was above and beyond specially ( patricia ) shes a doll, very helpull, polic and informative. She also speaks English, Spanish and French which was a hugh help. The only thing i found to be nad was the room are extrmely small and there not any space for 2 people to accomidate your lugga or clothing. And the AC Dosent function properly, is always hot for some reeason. Other then that exellent service and the breakfast is a must have.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great quiet hotel with great location - Hotel was very clean. Good shower, bed and quite big room for Paris.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great price for short business trip - This was really good quality for the price. Clean and comfortable!
- Verified traveler (6/5): The room was less than I expected - I stayed in this hotel two years ago and it was very good, so I wanted to try it again. However, I found it different, the room was not what I expected, the conditions unimproved.
- Derek (10/5): My new home in Paris - I absolutely adored this hotel. The staff was really professional and friendly. The view from my room was great. Everything in the hotel worked nicely. Very comfortable bed etc. I nice area with several places within a few steps to relax, eat, drink. Right near a metro. I could not be happier with my stay.
- Kenya (10/5): My experience - I really enjoyed the hotel, the room was clean I went to explore the city and when we returned the room and bathroom was clean. The bed was a little hard, that was the only downfall. The location was good.
- Márcio (10/5): Convenient, good location and good design hotel - Very convenient hotel in terms of location. Good condition, although the space is not great, which is not surprising in the neighborhood.Breakfast is also quite good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Central location, friendly staff, clean but small room, nice restaurants nearby, walking distance to Galeries lafayette
- msehgal (6/5): Nice location but very small - The bedroom is very small and the bathroom was in bad condition. Broken tiles on the tub and floor. The door didn't lock properly. Elevator was tiny can barely fit 2 suitcases with 2 people. Only good thing was location and bed area.
- Rebecca (10/5): Perfect Location - Perfect location! 10 minute walk to Gare St Lazare, lots of restaurants, close to walk to the Opera, Galleries Lafayette, easy walk to Montmartre, the Grevin Wax Museum.
- WEIPING (10/5): - Hotel is well located for shopping and sightseeing
- marria (8/5): good location - Friendly and helpful staff, great with our late check in. Hotel nice decor, clean rooms. Within walking distance to Gare Saint Lazare train station, cafes and shopping at Galeries Lafayette.
- Lianne (2/5): Do NOT stay here - This was our last hotel during our Europe trip and the worst hotel we stayed at. Upon check in we were notified there was a leak and they needed to move us to a different hotel. It was important for us to be at this hotel as we had 3 other rooms booked for people who were also travelling with us and needed to all be together. They ended up putting us beside the room with the leak but failed to mention that the air conditioning was broken due to the leak. They provided a fan for our "comfort" only to find out the fan didn't work. It was the middle of 2 hot days in the heat of summer with no A/C. There was no attempt to compensate us in any way for the inconvenience. No free breakfast or a free bottle of water. There was no attempt to make up for our terrible experience.
There were also no amenities, they didn't provide an umbrella when it rained (which was out of the norm from other hotels in Europe).Worst experience in all of Europe and a terrible way to have ended our stay. Nothing good to say about our stay here.
Also, they provide you with a "safe" which is on wheels. So completely disregards the idea of a safe storage for your belongings.
We travel to Europe (especially France) very often for business and we like to try different hotels during our stay. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. By far the worst of all of our travels to the EU, especially since there was no attempt to try to serve us better considering the inconvenience caused.
- david (8/5): Good place to base yourself. - Handy place for exploring the city.
A short 20 minute walk to both Eifel Tower & Arc dè Triomphe, or if you're more of an underground fan, there are 2 tube stations within a few minutes walk.
Friendly staff.
Hotel is on a busy one way street but the double glazing keeps out most of the commuter noise.
This hotel represented good value for money overall. No thrills, just a good place to store your bags & get your head down after a long day exploring this fantastic city!
- Verified traveler (8/5): nice hotel with great price - i booked for one double room but because i'm travelling alone the reception give me twin room. while when i'm checking in i already make sure it's double room, she said yes but when i entered the room its twin and i'm too tired ro go back to the reception to change. but the room is spacious and bathroom clean.
- c (4/5): Dirty - The room was dirty and very dusty. Dirt on the wall, very uncomfortable bed and when I arrived there were hairs on the bed. Disgusting.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not going back - Not even a 3-star hotel. Air Conditioning not working all the time, very hot in the room. Very bad wifi connection, not able to connect 90% of the time. No shampoo/conditioner provided, only providing soaps. Bad smelling bathroom right next to the bed. Heard very loud woman moaning from another room at one night.
- caitie (10/5): Good stay - Close to transport, nice neat tidy and clean rooms.
Great value for price. Helpful staff.
Good location, close to everything we needed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to everythig! - Close to Metro, walking distance to shops, food, bakeries. Hotel and room was clean and quiet. Planning on coming back.
- pyly (10/5): nice hotel , convenience & entertainment - I had 5 night with Exe Paris Hotel so convenient , close everything , really entertainment area & quiet room .
- Verified traveler (4/5): Hotel Has Great Potential - Upon arrival the room, bathroom and bed were presented nicely. Sadly, the sheets and inner pillow covers were dirty with someones hair etc. Being late at night, the staff could only find 2 duvet covers plus pillow cases for us to change the bedding ourselves. We arrived earlier in the day and wanted to see a room but were not permitted until check in. The bed was extremely hard. There was no hot water on day two. The bathroom door knob came off day three so we could not close the door. The towel holder would fall regularly. There was a small amount of black mold on the tiles by the tub and slow water draining issues. The WiFi was poor and almost not existent. We were not able to cancel our 5 day reservation and change hotels with a refund for even the unused days. "Beware of deals offering no refund or cancellation." The staff was wonderful and helpful. They were quick to fix any problems they could, as well as give directions. From the lobby up -this hotel presents well. However, our room had those challenges. This hotel was close to getting it right. Clean sheets upon arrival and a bed that didn't feel like a table "literally,"could have made me consider staying here again.
