An ancient monastery on its own island converted to a super luxury hotel. And all this only a 15 minute boat-ride from Venice. Due to its location, it is complicated and/or expensive to reach. Ironically its best feature is also its biggest drawback.

I have been very disappointed about the management, the reliability of the staff and their attitude. Also, the boat shuttle stops to early. It should have at least one last trip from San Marco to San Clemente at 24:30. We stayed 5 nights and every evening we had to come back by a boat taxi, which is expensive.

Objet : Retour sur mon séjour - Manque de professionnalisme et points d'amélioration Le personnel de la réception manque d'écoute et de rigueur. À mon arrivée, bien que j'aie précisé que la chambre et le petit-déjeuner étaient déjà réglés, la réceptionniste m'a indûment débité 1 200 €. Elle n'a réalisé son erreur qu'après avoir lu correctement ma réservation, m'obligeant à une double transaction pour obtenir le remboursement. Ce manque d'attention s'est répété au check-out : alors que je demandais à utiliser une autre carte bancaire, la personne a validé le paiement trop vite, m'obligeant à nouveau à subir une procédure de remboursement. Une simple reformulation ou une écoute active aurait évité ces désagréments financiers. Concernant les services : Restauration : Le restaurant n'est pas à la hauteur des standards de l'établissement, contrairement au room-service qui est excellent et efficient. Petit-déjeuner : Disposer d'une seule machine à café pour tout l'hôtel est inacceptable pour cette catégorie d'établissement. L'attente est excessive et, dès 10h, l'entretien de l'appareil semble totalement délaissé. Un investissement dans du matériel supplémentaire et une formation sur l'accueil client me semblent indispensables.

Peter (9/5): Hier kom ik terug, het hotel en de locatie is uniek. Passend bij Venetie, een unieke bestemming! - De locatie is uniek. Venetie is fantastisch om te bezoeken, maar je kan dit afwisselen met de rust, kalmte en schoonheid van San Clemente Palace. Als je het wil betalen is het zijn prijs echt wel waard! Er is wel werk aan de winkel. In een 5 sterren hotel van deze standing verwacht je dat je 's avonds al eens iets kan streamen op je TV in de kamer. Je zit immers op een eiland... Niet dus. Er zijn 2 restaurants. Een aan de pool, uitstekende gerechten en prima service maar het sluit om 18u00. Daarna ben je aangewezen op het andere restaurant. Maar niet iedereen heeft zin om na een drukke dag uitvoerig te dineren. Je kan snacks krijgen in de bar. Maar die zijn qua kwaliteit niet goed en de service van jongste medewerkers daar kan veel beter.

Raupe (9/5): Beautiful older hotel with huge grounds to walk and have pool time. A stunning bar inside! - The breakfast was amazing with a lot of choices. The bar is the prettiest I have ever seen! Everyone was very helpful and kind in every area. Rooms were very clean and we loved sitting around the pool for a drink. The hotel is enormous and had a musty odor. . We were not there the right time of year to have access to air conditioning so our room was extremely hot even with the windows open since the sun came into our side of the hotel, there wasn't a break until morning for a breeze to come through the window.
Stephen (9/5): Tolles Haus , tolles Personal - man fühlt sich sehr gut aufgehoben, kleinere Mängel im Zimmer - Das Frühstück war exzeptionell – sehr umfangreich und von hoher Qualität. Das Servicepersonal war ausgesprochen höflich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmerausstattung insgesamt war hochwertig und komfortabel. Das Badezimmer war sehr stilvoll und auf gehobenem Niveau ausgestattet. Kleinere Mängel wurden nach Hinweis umgehend und professionell behoben (z. B. Austausch eines lauten Kühlschranks). Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt auf hohem Niveau. Beim Frühstück wurden Teller teilweise sehr schnell abgeräumt – hier wäre etwas mehr Zurückhaltung bzw. Einfühlungsvermögen wünschenswert. Es standen keine Streamingdienste über das TV-System zur Verfügung – in dieser Preisklasse (ca. 800 € pro Nacht) wäre dies aus meiner Sicht zeitgemäß. Die Dusche verfügte nur über eine kleine Schutzwand, sodass das Badezimmer beim Duschen deutlich nass wurde – hier wäre eine bessere, ggf. flexible Lösung sinnvoll. Trotz ausdrücklicher Bitte um ein ruhiges Zimmer lag dieses zum Bootsanleger des Hotels, wodurch regelmäßig Motorengeräusche (bis etwa Mitternacht) bei geöffnetem Fenster hörbar waren. Die Nachttischlampe war vom Bett aus nicht bedienbar und zudem als Leselicht ungeeignet, da sie den gesamten Raum ausleuchtete und somit andere Personen störte.

Lo staff premuroso e sempre pronto a soddisfare ogni esigenza. La chiesa (una delle prime costruzioni sull'isola) è incantevole. Aggiornerei la tecnologia nelle stanze. Interruttori, comandi e placche sono datati e in plastica. Parlando con il personale ci è stato comunicato che durante la chiusura invernale sarà eseguito un profondo restyling alle camere.

D_Calvet (9/5): A true palace in its own island, like living a dream - The lush, expansive gardens are simply unmatched, as are the activities on offer – from cycling around the island and reading while watching the sunset, to playing tennis or taking peaceful walks. It’s an experience that’s almost impossible to find anywhere else in Venice. The rooms were spacious, and as the hotel has been recently refurbished, everything is in perfect condition. The main building feels like a palace, with its wide corridors and magnificent staircases adorned with Murano chandeliers – giving the impression of living in a royal residence. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious – plentiful without being wasteful, striking exactly the right balance in every respect. As the hotel is only a few years past its inauguration, it still feels as though certain aspects could be further refined. If you’re hungry and not especially patient, I would advise against dining at the bar. We tried on three occasions, and the shortest waiting time from order to service was 45 minutes — once exceeding an hour — far too long for a simple club sandwich. In addition, special requests don’t always seem to be properly noted. I asked for fresh milk to be kept in the minibar throughout my stay; it was only provided on the first day and again on the day I reminded them. On the remaining days, there was none. A minor detail, perhaps, but one that feels out of place in a hotel of such otherwise impeccable standards.

L’accueil est parfait, le personnel est d’une extrême gentillesse , tous sont aux petits soins et multiplient les attentions . Les jardins sont très beaux, offrent de multiples coins de détente et une belle piscine . Les chambres sont vastes et très confortables , avec belle vue sur les jardins et la lagune Le buffet petit déjeuner est extra. Le service de navette gratuite avec la place San Marco est parfait Merci à Daria pour son accueil adorable , ses attentions à l’occasion de nos noces d’or . Petit bémol pour le prix un peu excessif du restaurant et le passage très tardif du traitement anti moustique fort bruyant ….cela doit se faire nous le comprenons bien mais peut être pas vers 22h30-23h !

Edwin (8/5): - Overall the team are friendly and helpful but there were moments during our stay that no guest should be experiencing. One morning on our return to our room after breakfast with the privacy sign on the door, I was falling back to sleep and my husband was changing to go down to the pool when the door bell went. Before I could even get to answer the door, a guest relations team member came through the door despite the privacy sign being on, and was about to show two people around our room which firstly was occupied by us and secondly had the privacy sign on which is completely unacceptable. I complained about this to the reception team who were very apologetic and arranged a bottle of wine to our room with a personal note to apologise. Unfortunately this was not the only occasion, sadly the very next day on our checkout day we experienced a similar case with the housekeeping team, who were clearly keen to turn our room around and have us out. Despite a 12:00 checkout, she asked us at 09:00 if she could start on our room, and again at 11:00 whilst letting herself in before we even had chance to even answer the door bell. She wanted to know what time we were checking out which left us feeling rushed and almost chased out of the hotel. These are experiences you should not be experiencing in any hotel and certainly not at this hotel. It is a real pity as this was a return visit and these experiences to quote the hotel team “recalibrate” how you feel about your stay and experience.

Supplante sans mal la majeure partie (pour ne pas dire tous) des 5* de la ville sur le plan du confort et de la démesure. Son principal atout peut, pour certains, être aussi son principal inconvénient: Placé sur une ile avec Navettes privées ( gratuites) pour Venise ( environ 10/15 min). Ces aller-retour en bateau ( bois) font aussi le charme de cette hôtel loin du tumulte, équipé d’un parc verdoyant et d’une très grande piscine. Personnel au petit soin et souriant.

They serve champagne in wine glasses at the restaurant, when I went down for breakfast in the morning, there was no staff to say good morning, I poured my own coffee every morning and was not served, there was no smiling staff, I wanted something to snack on at 22:00 in the evening, I was told the kitchen was closed, even though I was a hotel customer, nothing was prepared. When I wanted something elsewhere, they specially got permission from the managers to cook in the kitchen and the chef came and asked if I liked it, I did not see such service here. When I checked the expense receipts when I was leaving the hotel, I saw that someone else's receipt that did not belong to me was added to my bill, a mistake was made, attention should be paid

The stuff is very young and super friendly. Amazing To be honest the breakfast is at the lowest Level for a 5 Star Hotel. You got this Beautiful Island , amazing rooms, everything amazing and then a breakfast which is poor as it gets. If the Management change that no complain.
