- Laura (10/5): -
- Vladimir (7/5): - Die Lage war sehr gut. Alles zentral.
- Jale (9/5): -

- Sultana (6/5): - The good stuff: the people who work at this hotel are so lovely and friendly. The place was spotless. They let me leave my luggage for 2 days while I was traveling elsewhere, and were so gracious and generous. The location can’t be beat—it’s centrally located to almost everything on the European side, and so walkable!
The downsides: the hotel is in the middle of a very bustling night scene and directly over a wine bar. The rooms are filled with smoke in the evenings as a result. It is impossible to escape, even with the air conditioning on. Unfortunately, the bed is also quite uncomfortable, and the water in the shower never gets above warm.
I think this place has the opportunity to become really great with a little more investment, focusing on quality over aesthetic, but I wouldn’t change a thing about the staff.
- MAGDALENA (6/5): If this hotel was moved to a quiet area - it would be perfect - The room was really pretty and comfortable, staff was very nice and helpful It’s extremely loud, if You generally like to sleep at night, You should stay away from this place and this neighbourhood.

- Charlie (6/5): Looks cute but not worth it. - It’s well located with a cute restaurant. - The day staff were not very friendly
- Very noisy/not sound proof at all
- The manager tried to ripp us off, he was asking us for 123€ for Laundry service, and we found a place 7 minutes away that costed us 20€…
- I found a disgusting bug in the bed
- We could hear the next room so well in the washroom, felt like we had no privacy..
Keine Ahnung. Mir persönlich fällt nichts ein.
- Giulia (7/5): A decent central stay - The location is super central, very touristy just at the door of Galata sport bars on one side and Pera neighbourhood on the other. Can get to Galata Port in around 20 mins by walk and overall it was easy to get to the tube station or find taxis. The location is the best feature of this hotel (that I would rather call a pub with some upstairs rooms). Overall is exactly what you can expect for the price + great location to explore Istanbul. Housekeeping did not come for 4 days - there was a tiny note on the side wall of the wardrobe saying we needed to give back the keys everyday for housekeeping. No one at reception told us or ever asked for feedback about our stay - on the contrary, they rather acted surprised every time we would go back to the room like they didn’t know we were staying.
The service was virtually non existent which is a shame considering they all looked friendly. The room is nice, but older and smaller than what it looks in the pictures.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - Loved this small hotel. Very spacious room, stylish & full of character, super comfortable bed and the balcony was great. The location was perfect for us, in a quiet side street off a busy area full of bars. it was also near all the restaurants we were keen to go to. Beneath the hotel was a lovely little wine bar - had a fun evening trying local Turkish wines. Wouldn’t hesitate staying here again if lucky enough to be in Istanbul again.
- Phillipa (8/5): Very good -
- Pelin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dubravko (8/5): Very good -
- Evgeny (5/5): Passable - Nice room design, close to Galata Extremely noisy till late evening and starting early morning. No dental kit / toothpaste available. Old towels and sheets with holes
- Jodie (9/5): Superb - Really nice place, with comfortable rooms. Conventient location (only the climb up if you walk or take public transport isn't very pleasant). Very friendly staff, we got new coffee/tea whenever we asked. The bathroom isn't very private, an actual door would have made the stay more pleasant.
- Ozan (10/5): Design, Cleanliness and Smiles - Staff were very friendly, room was clean, and we especially loved the design of the room. We’ll definitely be back! We could never say we didn’t like it, but we do have a couple of suggestions: we wish the TV in the room were smart TV, and a bit stronger lighting could make the experience even better. These small touches would really suit your lovely hotel.
- Colby (10/5): - This was a very nice boutique hotel. The restaurant downstairs was upscale and the room was great. We stayed on the first floor and it was loud from the street noise at night. The location was great and near lots of bars!
- Jessika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (8/5): Very good - The room was lovely. Very modern, with comfortable bed. Very helpful staff.
The location was excellent. The noise from neighbouring bars until early hours. No soundproofing in room.
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Turner (10/5): Exceptional -
- Oliver (9/5): Superb -
- Hassan (10/5): The cutest stay ever - The room was aesthetic. We loved our stay. Never before we have felt like staying in the room, rather than explore the new places. The shower was excellent, the staff service, and the food was amazing.
- Esteban (9/5): Superb -
- Steven (1/5): One step above sleeping outside... - My partner and I recently stayed at this property and it turned out to be a total flop. One of the worst places I've slept in while traveling. The room, although expressed as being smoke free, was rife with smoke aromas. The smell was everywhere, near the bed, by the windows (where smoke from the downstairs patio would creep up), and in the bathroom.
The AC was broken and it made the room feel quite miserable. We mentioned this to various staff members who all gave us different answers (with not one reply being similar).
The bed was nice, but a lack of amenities and the temperature of the room coupled with smoke made this a very unpleasant stay. It was especially loud at all hours of the evening as well. While I understand people enjoying some nightlife, there really needs to be some amount of barrier to limit the noise after 10pm. The music was still raging well past 1am when we were catching a taxi to the airport. You have to stay uncomfortably warm with the windows shut and inhale the weird smoke aromas, or open the windows, breathe more smoke and have all the noise rail your eardrums.
I would never recommend or stay at this hotel again.
- Dingram2012 (2/5): Save your money, this place is awful! - My partner and I booked a stay at this hotel, and it was a huge letdown. Easily one of the most uncomfortable places I’ve ever stayed. The room was supposed to be smoke-free, but the smell of smoke was everywhere—near the bed, by the windows (where it drifted in from outside), and even in the bathroom. It was impossible to escape. Our room was right above the hotel bar and the smoke is 24/7.
The air conditioning didn’t work, which made the room stuffy and unbearable. We asked multiple staff members about it, and every response was different—none of them actually helpful.
The bed itself was fine, but between the lack of basic amenities, the heat, and the constant smell of smoke, it was impossible to relax. We asked housekeeping to clean the room and all they did was make the bed. On top of that, the noise level was outrageous. Stray cats and dogs fighting constantly throughout the night and music was blasting well past 1 AM, making it impossible to get any sleep before our early morning taxi to the airport. There was no good option—you either kept the windows closed and suffered in the heat or opened them and dealt with more smoke and deafening noise.
I definitely would not stay here.
- Gasim (9/5): Superb -
- Evangelo (9/5): Superb -
- Evan (8/5): Beautiful room in prime location. - Beautiful room in central location. Building itself is super charming. Staff was always super friendly. Restaurant downstairs was cozy and very well priced. Room ran hot. There was an AC in the room but I think it ultimately did more harm than good. Location is great, but be mindful, you’re above several bars and restaurants and it can be noisy at night.
- Ања (10/5): Exceptional - It was perfect! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable, it has everything you need. Also the wi-fi was good.
The hotel is in a perfect location, all tourist attractions and good restaurants are very close, also restaurant at the hotel is really good. It was a wonderful stay!
- Bogomilova (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was incredible
- Kristian (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, nice room, very friendly staff. A bit noisy in the night.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ireneusz (9/5): Superb - It was good locations
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Irini (10/5): Cute room, friendly stuff, good area. - The room was cute, cozy, and clean. The staff was very helpful and kind! It's in a good area because it's 2 minutes from instiklal and 5-10 minutes from the galata tower. The only disadvantage is that it was a little bit noisy and one night there was a strong smell of smoke from outside.
- Veera (9/5): Superb -
- Mary (8/5): Good budget hotel but noisy - Clean, comfortable beds. Very close to shops and town centre. Very ideal location. Next to pubs and the hotel has a pub downstairs itself. Gets very nosy and we couldn’t sleep until past midnight because of the noise.
- ANESTIS (10/5): - Excellent stay,great location 2 minutes from ISTIKLAL ave.
The people that run the hotel are amazing.
We're definitely staying there again on our next trip.
- Aljbour (9/5): Superb -
- Sofia (9/5): Superb - Amazing hotel in a young and active area of Istanbul, full of pubs and restaurants.
- Nikola (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jesper (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (10/5): Welcoming, comfortable, fan location, good price - highly recommended. - It is in a very central location but still away from the street noise. Lovely atmosphere at night, with a well stocked cafe/restaurant. Nice staff who gave plenty of tips for other places to eat and drink. We would stay again. Nothing - it was all perfect.
- Orfeo (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place.
Clean and spacious room.
Very polite and helpful staff ready to help for anything i asked.
The hotel is parallel to the shopping street and 2 minutes from a metro station.
Neighbourhood was full of pubs and bars with live music every night, but no noise coming inside the room.
Very much recommended 😁
- Anastasios (10/5): Best place to stay in the center of the city! - It located in the perfect location, wherever you want to go inside the city of Istanbul.Close to many means of public transportation, and inside the busiest spot of the neighborhood.
- Konstantin (3/5): Poor - Room without windows. It was pretty dark. I told that the room is not as I expected according photo and comments. Receptionist told me that he can change the room, but didn’t do it. It was the worst room ever I visited in Istanbul One small window
Room on the ground floor and it is without sun
- Ekaterina (9/5): Superb - Location is perfect, on the first floor there's a restaurant with huge collection of vine. 3 minutes to istiklal and metro. I like design of room. No cleaning during our stay, but may be they don't clean on Sunday.
- Andreea (10/5): A hotel in the heart of Taksim, would come back - Everything was really nice, cool decor of the room. Amazing water pressure, all clean. I would suggest to fix the door as the cold was getting in since the door was not ermetic. Also the pillows were too hard for me, but this could be my taste only. Everything else was perfect.
- Fahad (10/5): - Arron is nice guy .staff are so nice .neat and clean rooms.i love it
- Mohamed (10/5): Exceptional - The location is perfect, and the staff is very friendly
- Maheen (4/5): - Cons:
1. It is a pain to get any taxi. The street is closed and no taxi or transport can access this. With luggage- it is extremely ridiculous to stay here. They SOMEHOW managed to help us get there but we’re not able to help us leave… weird.
2. It is uphill and in the rain dangerous to walk here with cobblestone floors in the path to the hotel.
3. It is super loud at night. Drums, singing, you name it. Hard to sleep. We were going to stay two more nights but it is hard to deal with the noise and lack of transport.
Pros:
1. İstiklal street is very close by
2. Large and clean room
- Reklaw (9/5): Good value for money. One of the best options around Pera - As a Marriott Bonvoy ambassador and hotel owner myself, I’m always keen to check out as many hotels as possible in a new area to get some new ideas for my own business. In this case, I stayed in Istanbul for 16 days and was keen to find a “boutique” style hotel around the Pera area. This was the only hotel I stayed at twice as it was my favourite.
The hotel is located down a narrow alleyway, and doubles as a wine bar/restaurant - seems to be a very popular one too because on both days, it was full (with cultured clientele) until past midnight. There are 10 tables on the street and a few inside.
The host Serhat was well dressed, very professional, very polite and had knowledge of English. The drinks and the food were very nice. Top marks overall.
The room itself was well proportioned, clean, with fresh towels, basic toiletries, large TV (not smart) kettle, tea/coffee sachets and bottled water.
The temperature was automatic and I never had to adjust it. They also offered a laundry service which I didn’t use but it was very reasonably priced.
The staff were all very friendly and happy to help.
Overall I really enjoyed this hotel, and I had a better time here than DeCamondo and Casa Foscolo (both Marriott brands) at a fraction of the price. Some things to improve but which are not deal breakers;
First, the room you book in the photos is not necessarily the room which you’ll be given. For example I booked the “junior suite” which is shown with a small balcony and street view, but on both occasions I was told it was not available and given other rooms facing the courtyard and no balcony. The furniture and layout was still pretty much the same, but still not the same room as expected, these rooms were also very dark, even on a bright and sunny day.
There is no breakfast in the morning as the restaurant inside doesn’t open until 13:00 (so I was told)
I dealt with 3 members of staff on reception during the whole trip, 1 of whom had excellent English and seemed very professional, but the other 2 staff members although very polite and doing their best to help, seemed to have problems understanding English, and the check in procedures in general - perhaps they were training.
I would add some slippers/robes, stock the minibar, and add some smart boxes to the TVs to take it up another level.
Note I did not mention noise anywhere in my review, because if you’re staying in this area you should expect some noise from the narrow streets, but it certainly wasn’t excessive and I slept fine.
- jay celal (8/5): Great stay - Great location ,great staff, room we stayed incomfortable and ok big and had clean bathroom .But the room dooe has to be replaced with a sound proof and a strong srcure one. It was a standart bad quality room door.
Tha outside of the building needs to be taken care off as well but 8nside well decorate
. Over all it was a comfirtable stay and great value of the money, cost affective. If you decide to stay at this hotel you wont regret.
Bar staff Miss Sukran also made us happy with the special coctail named "Sukran (meaning thanks for everything from the heart in, Turkish) light,"/ Sukran light.
Galata winehouse (inside the hotel)also a great wine bar with food for enjoyment.
- Sameena (9/5): Lovely boutique hotel with great staff. Excellent location - Location
Comfortable bed
Clean
Gave us a very early check in which was much appreciated A bit noisy due to location
- Faizan (10/5): - Recommended hotel to stay near Galata Tower.
Staff is very helpful and room is beautifully designed with all required amenities.
Walking distance to Galata Tower and nearby pubs/markets restaurants.
A few things to keep in mind.
Roads are narrow and may need walking one street if you are taking taxi. Metro is nearby.
Will stay in future!
- Stanislav (9/5): In the heart of Istanbul - Location in the “Heart” of Istanbul - 30min walking distance to Blue Mosque & Grand Bazaar , 5 min to Galata tower and Istiklal. Very cozy rooms and great staff , especially the kitchen - really tasty dishes … A bit too noisy in the rooms looking thru the party street - no parking space :(
- Kanika (4/5): Overall, it was a sub-par experience and this hotel should not be recommended to families by booking.com - Location is the only thing going for this property. The staff too were kind but language issues lead to some terrible miscommunication. Almost all aspects, apart from the location, were poor.
1. Access to the hotel and room, especially with luggage, was a nightmare. Taxis/cabs could not reach the doorstep and dropped us off at least 500 mtrs away in heavy rain. We had to make our way in foot with 2 kids and 6-7 pieces of luggage.
2. The room is on ground level at the back of the restaurant and bar the hotel runs but with very poor access. You had to walk through an open patio to get to it, again not ideal in rain and cold weather.
3. The room itself was spacious but the floor was very dirty. Doubt it had been mopped before our arrival or ever.
4. The staff were helpful but language was an issue. The person at the reception offered to book us a cab to the airport however the type of cab booked for a family of 4 with luggage was inappropriate. We even cancelled our pre-booked cab which was of the same price but a much bigger vehicle, as we were assured of a better deal by the hotel. When the taxi arrived it was a regular city cab, hardly able to accommodate us and worse still, was a little bit more pricey than the right-sized vehicle we had booked but cancelled.
5. All of the drama in point 4 above transpired yet again in heavy rain on a cold 2 degrees day, with no umbrellas offered by the hotel and a taxi that could yet again NOT reach the doorstep of the hotel.
- Simona (10/5): Exceptional - Personnel is great. Trully helpful. Hotel located in a very nice area. Strongly recomend.
- Rinat (3/5): Poor -
- Sarah (5/5): If I were sleeping there with NO BABY, it s recomended. - Staffs did their best to accommodate us. Well, let’s say if I were sleeping there with NO BABY, it s not bad.
The truth is It s just too small to a family of four ( two adults , one 5 yrs old and a baby) Beddings are ordinary, the main bed blanket is too small for two people, I was half tucked in the first night. the baby cot was nearly collapsed, doesn’t have a mattress, the central bottom part sank to the floor and formed a hole.
Located on a narrow ascent street , not accessible directly by taxi nor public transportation, for us , a family with two big luggages and a baby stroller, in a rainy day, it was just overwhelmingly uncomfortable.
Price was approximate 205 or 207 € for two nights.
- Viktoriia (9/5): Nice stay in the Taksim area - It is in very crowdy and touristic area of the Taksim Neighbourhood, but the exact street of the hotel is really calm. Additionally, their brand new wine bar on the first floor brings up a lot of positive vibes to the place :) The bathroom was a bit too cold
- Roschanack (8/5): Very good -
- Eren (8/5): Very good -
- Tatiana (10/5): Exceptional - Nice design A bit loud because of the location (bars)
- Bu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Johlis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Holly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristine (10/5): We had an amazing stay! - We really like the hotel's location. It's close to the metro, shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. The room is really cozy and comfortable. The staffs are very helpful and nice.
- Ivan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pevsner (8/5): Highly recommend for short vacation with friends - Great location, very helpful staff No breakfast
- Dmitry (9/5): Superb -
- Dmitry (9/5): Superb -
- Elisha (1/5): Not an accurate description of accommodation - rooms only - The room size False advertising on the advertisement: they do not have a bar or shared lounge space. It’s just the rooms.
And, Wi-Fi went down for over 24 hours after cables were cut, and continued delays in when we were told it would be fixed. “By 10:30am, “by 3pm”, still not working the next day.
- Elisha (1/5): No Wi-Fi, communal space or bar as advertised - we left early - The room size and location was great Unfortunately the way this property is advertised. It says there is a bar and communal lounge - there isn’t. We stayed for a week and there is no communal space, just stairs stacked in an open room with nowhere to sit - one of the staff has a make-shift table and chair they work from in the middle of the room.
Our WiFi also went out for over 24 hours, as it seems common to have cables cut. We were repeatedly told it would take 90 mins, or then the afternoon, and had to go out and buy WiFi cards and work from SoHo House cafe for WiFi.
We left early.
Then, when we complained the manager didn’t speak to us personally, we had to speak to the booking.com team who helped.
There is a lot of potential here but we wouldn’t recommend staying until they improve their facilities, and advertise accurately.
- Ilektra (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, beautiful room, plus the receptionists were so friendly and helpful! We would definitely visit again!!
- Bruno (10/5): Exceptional -
- Francesco (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nikola (9/5): Great value for money - Excellent location with a quiet and clean room. Friendly staff. The cleaning lady did not visit us once during our 3-day stay, but I am sure that if asked, she would gladly come.
- Gennady (8/5): A nice place to stay - The building is nice It was not easy to find it first. The local streets could be noisy at night.
- Muthanna (8/5): Very good hotel - The staff are friendly and helpful they are always available to help and suggest very good places to go around the city. The location is very good as it's just few steps from Istiklal street and the metro station is literary around the corner but the problem that cars can't access to the hotel entrance so if you have big luggages like what we had you need to take this into account.
- Bronwen (9/5): Great location in vibrant area. - Super friendly and responsive staff, fantastic position for exploring Istanbul. Close to public transport.
- Peter (10/5): A fashionable and great value hotel in the heart of Beyoğlu. - Brilliant location and wonderful staff. Nothing.
- Zbigniew (10/5): Great staff - perfect location - This hotel is a perfect combination of great location, professional approach of staff and convenience.
Beyoğlu is much better accessible when you live here.
Close to Metro, ferrys and Havas bus to airport.
Close to shops, restaurants.
Wifi is perfect.
Marvelous rooms makes living here private and enjoyable.
Nice people work here.
İlker helped me plenty. Very professional and kind. I will come back for sure. Alll was very good.
