Резюмирую, больше в него не заселюсь, неоправданно дорого.

The lobby and bar/ restaurant is beautiful but for such a high price tag the staff are oblivious and inattentive. Drinks are watered down, despite an army of staff it was a monumental effort to get their attention. Save your monies and spend someplace else. I would NEVER go back.

Staff was super helpful, they held on to a cake I had for the day, rooms were huge crazy clean and bathrooms were so so fancy. View was amazing and the local mall and location were the best. It was my wife's birthday and they left us a small cake and letter. Super sweet staff, I'll never forget this. Prices are a bit much but worth a try. Lounge gets pretty crowded, bed sheets kinda too heavy but thats just me.

The entire team made our stay feel truly special and comfortable. We were celebrating a milestone birthday, and I had only asked for a simple card from the hotel to acknowledge the occasion. We were therefore genuinely surprised and touched by the very generous gesture of a bottle of champagne, a cake, and a beautifully written birthday card for my friend. I was also pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful touches throughout our stay, such as the daily supply of bottled water in the room. In addition, the staff in the lounge, as well as the reception team and waiters, were all incredibly kind and friendly. They made every breakfast, dinner, and even a simple cocktail an absolute pleasure. We would like to say a heartfelt thank you for making this trip so memorable.

From Phillip at the front who helped me with my bags and wished me a Happy Birthday once he heard why I was in NYC, to Dream who checked me in and to everyone else after, everyone was lovely. My room had a great view of Central Park, and was cleaned every day so well. (Thank you for the bookmark!) The food was delicious from the noodle soup that warmed me after my Jonathan Groff evening show, to the best Caesar salad of my life!!! Afternoon tea on Sunday was so peaceful and I watched the world go by with my complementary NYTimes. Finally, the gym and spa was fantastic, and I wish I could bring home the amethyst steam room to my house. Massage made up for an unexpected travel extension thanks to my flight getting cancelled due to weather. Overall, perfect weekend in NYC. I have stayed other places before, but Mandarin will now be my home away from home going forward.

It is arguably one of the most breathtaking backdrops for tea in all of Manhattan. As someone who frequently seeks out dietary-friendly options, I was blown away by the gluten-free tea selection. The sandwiches and pastries were, without exaggeration, some of the best I have had anywhere in the world. Often, GF substitutions can feel like an afterthought, but here they were clearly crafted with the same precision and creativity as the standard menu. Every bite was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly textured. The service was impeccable. The staff was incredibly attentive and professional, maintaining the formal atmosphere you expect from such a prestigious venue. However, what truly made the experience stand out was their relaxing nature. The service never felt "stuffy" or overly rigid; instead, the warmth of the team allowed us to truly unwind and enjoy the ritual of tea. I am already looking forward to my next visit. If you want a high-end tea experience that combines a world-class view with genuinely inclusive, gourmet food, this is the place to go.

- michaelsT1728SX (10/5): The Pace to Stay in NYC - After spending a week, it was clear that the Mandarin Oriental New York delivers an amazing experience in all respects. From the moment a guest enters on the ground floor to the atmosphere of the lobby on the 35th floor, everything is curated for the guest to experience wonder. We had a Hudson River room on a high floor away from the elevator and it was quiet, spacious and the blackout curtains provided for a fitful sleep. The hotel thinks of everything. There is a charger in the in-room safe so that one can charge their laptops or iPads while out exploring the city. The amenities in the room are nothing short of luxurious. Housekeeping was efficient and detailed as well as evening turndown service. Several nights after returning to the room, turndown put out the MO slippers in front of the bed. We dined each morning for breakfast and it was the best way to begin the day. The Upper West Side Bagel was delicious and filling. The best part of the dining experience was John. He remembered small details and inquired each morning as to the stay. After the second morning, we specifically asked for his section. We also dined one evening and the food was consistently delicious. While the food is of top quality, what really draws a person is the view of the city and Central Park. For dining outside of the hotel, the Concierge Team was incredibly good. They were able to secure the most difficult reservations. For months leading up to the trip to NYC, I tried to get reservations and both the online system at the restaurant as well as making personal calls said everything was booked. The Concierge was able to get a table for two, on the day requested and within an hour of the preferred time! In all respects, the concierge team was extraordinary. The pool and fitness room are absolute gems. The pool is heated and large for NY standards. Best times to go are very early in the morning or around 4:00 pm. While I stayed at the hotel before, this was the first time I enjoyed the Spa. The whole journey is an experience and I will definitely return. The value of the room is expensive but you get what you pay for which is high quality, a luxury experience and you are at the entrance to Central Park. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I am already planning to return. Thank you to John, Elisa and GM Marcel Thoma for making the MO the best place to stay in NYC.

I've stayed at hotels all around the world at this level, and this is by far the best service I've ever received at a hotel. Everything else simply pales in comparison. The staff was so nice, always responsive, incredibly prompt, and always offering more than we needed. Do all the little things right. Things you don't even think you want or you didn't even realize were a thing. Miles went above and beyond to look after us! No exaggeration, this was an 11 out of 10 experience. I simply could not consider staying at another hotel in NYC now.

The first one takes you to the lobby on floor # 35. The second elevator, located in another part of the building, will take you from the lobby to the room. This can take a while if there are many guests using the elevators.

- AHMED (1/5): Don’t go there - I arrived at 3:30 PM for check-in, and they told me I had to wait 4 hours because all the rooms were sold out. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. The staff were very unfriendly, as if you were going to a free place, and the manager was also terrible. This was my first and last time at this hotel, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I want to specifically call out 3 individuals: Dustin at the front desk was such a joy! We had a hiccup with the first room I was staying in, and he was efficient in making it right, and helping me move to a new room seamlessly. Just a very kind and hospitable person all around. John at the restaurant was the best breakfast server. He has such an infectious, positive energy, and made my breakfast experience one to remember. He is such a gem to the MO experience and I want him to be recognized! Lastly Alex in security - left my kindle behind in one of the rooms. He promptly handled finding my item, was super gracious on the phone, and handled overnighting my kindle back to me for my next trip coming up this weekend. This hotel has spectacular rooms, comfy beds, chic interior, phenomenal food in the lounge, beautiful views of the river and Central Park, and lovely people. I hope I get to stay again soon!!!

Everything was very quiet, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully detailed. The location is excellent, convenient for getting around the city and close to the subway, yet at the same time peaceful, which makes all the difference when resting after a busy day. The true highlight, without a doubt, is the team: everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive, always ready to help and make us feel genuinely welcome. The care shown to me, my wife, and our daughter was especially meaningful, and the attention to every detail was truly memorable, making the celebration of a special occasion even more exceptional. I would like to especially highlight the pre-arrival contact by Victoria Vizcaino and the wonderfully positive and personalized surprises, thoughtfully arranged so that we could fully enjoy our celebration and so our daughter could also have fun during our stay. We loved it. It was an unforgettable stay that exceeded our expectations. We will certainly return and highly recommend the Mandarin Oriental without any hesitation. Nothing to complain about.
- NewportBeachMomma (10/5): Christmas Came Early - I booked Mandarin Oriental Manhattan through the Fine Hotels program at American Express, which came with many perks (e.g., noon check in, 4pm late check out, $100 hotel credit, upgraded room, breakfast for two). My daughter checked in and she was welcomed by name with an upgraded, Hudson River view, high floor room, jasmine tea and fruit. The breakfast for two (up to $90) was a great way to start the day. The dining room has incredible views and wide selection of healthy, savory and healthy breakfast options. The nightly turn down service with slippers, mats and treats by our bed made us feel extra special. High end amenities from the Shops at Columbus Circle (Diptyque lotion, chocolates by La Maison du Chocolat Paris). Spacious shower, double sinks, tub overlooking Hudson (with bath salts), and plush robes added to the five star experience. The Christmas decorations including letters to Santa and afternoon hot chocolate bar made our trip even more "sweet." We appreciated being able to get a snack at nearby Whole Foods Market or banana pudding at Magnolia. A five story Nordstrom is across the street too. We walked to Broadway, Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Plaza, and of course Central Park (which is across the street). Last but not least, they were offering a special - third night free, which made this hotel a little more affordable, especially right before Christmas and New Year's. This hotel stay was definitely an early Christmas present for my two daughters and me!

Die Zimmerausstattung (4102) ist überaltert, keine separate Toilette. Es gibt keinen allgemeinen Aufenthaltsraum außer 12 Sitzgelegenheiten im Rezeptionsbereich! Die absolute Unverschämtheit war das Silvestermenue: 1000 $/ pro Person zusätzlich Weinbegleitung (wenn gewünscht) für 250 $/Person. Dazu wurden 18% (!) Service automatisch addiert, so dass sich die Gesamtkosten für 2 Personen auf 2 500 $ beliefen inkl. 1 Flasche Wasser, da wir keinen Alkohol trinken!!! Es ist durchaus normal und akzeptabel, 18 … 25% Service zu zahlen. Das tun wir gerne, aber bei einem solch hohen Preis von 1000 $/Person ist das nicht angemessen. Außerdem möchten wir das selbst entscheiden.
- MFabulous (10/5): Great but just short of a true 5 star experience - I stayed here for a weekend getaway after all the holiday tourists were gone and NYC took a breather. The hotel is becoming a bit outdated with wear and tear in the furnishings and in the room. Because this is an expensive five star hotel, this should not be the case. The in-room dining was, while expectedly expensive, subpar. The main restaurant was very underwhelming for a 5 star hotel and more resembled a lobby lounge (the restaurant is appropriately named the MO Lounge). The toiletries and bedding however were top notch. The only reason for paying such a high price here compared to other five star hotels in NYC is the view. We had an amazing view of Central Park which makes you want to gaze out the window 24 hours/day. We could have paid 1/2 the price at Loews Regency Hotel (which is the same level of luxury) but wouldn't of had this view. If you don't care for the view, stay at the Loews and save a few hundred dollars. Its also convenient to have a bunch of restaurants and a Whole Foods in the lobby of the building which allows you to go downstairs and get whatever fruit, beverages or snacks you want to have in your room. I am not sure I would stay here again and would actually give MO a 4.5 star rating.
- Veelar (8/5): Great time. - We stayed at the MO and had a good time. Service was truly exceptional. As some state, the rooms are a tad outdated but not overstretched. We had a great view from our room too. Location made it easy to pop in and out of Central Park, walk to 5th ave, broadway etc. Our only gripe was breakfast seemed to be scattered and thats where the service fell short. Seems like the quality of service is so high everywhere else but F&B downstairs not quite hitting the mark with quality of food or the service in restaurants. I think we would definitely stay here again but, will consider other similar quality hotels first.

The room was spacious, clean and thoughtfully designed with Marvelous views. What truly stood out was the genuineness and attentiveness of the team. From Check in with Dream, to the Lounge experience with Mark, Martin, Nathaniel and Richard, every interaction was warm and welcoming. The Bar experience with Aya and Shakill was a Highlight- from the creative drinks to the thoughtful recommendations and the welcoming atmosphere. - andrewpok (10/5): The best service I have ever seen from hotel staff - We had a wonderful family trip to the Mandarin Oriental NYC. We picked the spot for its proximity to Central Park & Columbus Circle. The hotel was gorgeous. The views were fantastic, it was super easy to get everywhere in NYC from the subway right there, and the food was great. Most important to our experience, was the service. Our room wasn't ready when we got in from the train, and they made sure that we got the best view table the next morning for our breakfast reservation. Even more importantly, while we were there our 5yo daughter's favorite stuffed animal, the one she takes everywhere, got caught up in the sheets and lost. Everyone was so helpful and kind to her, and they found picture of the stuffy online to share with the cleaning service they send linens to. A few days after we got home, a box came with not just her beloved stuffy, but a bunch of polaroids and a postcard accounting for all the wonderful adventures the stuffy had in NYC before taking a special trip back home. It made her happier than you could imagine, I posted a couple of the photos to show the attention to detail. They didn't need to do that, but they did- and it made all the difference. They care.

From the moment I arrived, the experience was exceptional. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and professional, from check-in through to departure. Every interaction felt personal and thoughtful, with team members going above and beyond to ensure comfort and ease. My room was spacious, the bedding soft and comfortable, and the view absolutely incredible—perfect for rest and recovery after the race. The hotel’s location is unbeatable: just moments from the subway, Broadway, and Central Park, making it easy to explore the city between marathon events. A special mention goes to the Fitness Centre staff, whose energy and hospitality truly stood out. I’d also like to thank Derek from Housekeeping for his outstanding service and attention to detail. His friendly presence made a real difference. Thank you all for making this visit so memorable. I look forward to returning.
- 871rubye (10/5): Mandarin Oriental NYC - This survey is past and very long overdue! This was a business and family trip we took in August of 2025. It was our first time staying at the Mandarin Oriental NY. From the moment we checked in, Natsuko and Miles couldn’t have been more professional and warm. They went far beyond our expectation. Our anniversary had passed but we didn’t have time to celebrate so I mentioned that we were looking for a nice restaurant to have a post celebration. They surprised us with lovely sweet amazing treats to toast and celebrate the occasion. Natsuko and Miles were also very attentive to our 11 year old daughter. The staff at the MO lounge were also exceptional. Maria Dergal went beyond to make sure our afternoon tea with our daughter was an amazing and unforgettable experience. John, the (Filipino) waiter was funny and very attentive. We didn’t want our little weekend get away to end. We have been wanting to stay at MONYC but we always stayed at either Park Hyatt or Baccarat Hotel. While both are gorgeous hotels, MO gave that extra touch to make our stay warm, welcoming and fun! They made us feel as if we are frequent guests and that they have known us for a long time. I can’t thank the staff enough even on our way out, Miles and Natsuko gave us lovely parting gifts to take the memories we created at MO. The note book and luggage tags will always bring warm memories. Thank you-The Estra Family

The location with its right over Central Park is excellent, the service is outstanding and our daughter loved the pool. We wanted to take a moment to share how truly wonderful Yarisol and Danny from Reception and Vilnmore from Concierge. Their warmth, attention and joy at doing their job at MONY made our stay absolutely wonderful with our little one.

Recently I spent a weekend in New York and decided to stay at the Mandarin Oriental in Columbus Circle. First we were assigned to a room that smell really bad, after to the manager we were offered a downgrade since the facility was sold out, offer was not accepted then at 2 am we were informed we were upgraded to a better room and it was, but the problem did not stop there after leaving and getting home an invoice was added to my credit card for " taking the hair dryer from the room". A complaint was sent to the hotel hoping the situation is resolved, It will not be a second time for me in that hotel.

I was doing the marathon at the weekend and they really looked after us with a lovely take away breakfast for free and a beautiful Chocolate medal left in our rooms…..just lovely
- V7121RIlisai (10/5): Perfect Hotel for a Luxurious NYC Weekend! - Everything at The Mandarin Oriental exceeded our exceptions! Upon entering, every member of the staff treated us like royalty. Our room was exceptionally clean with beautiful linens, not to mention the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Central Park. Simply beautiful and the skyline itself, absolutely breathtaking! We took advantage of the lounge on the 35th floor where we were provided excellent service, delicious drinks and late-night snacks. After last call at the lounge, my party was able to sit and enjoy the beautiful city views without being pressured to leave. The following morning, in the same open, bright, cheery space with beautiful views, the breakfast was one of the best I have ever had! My omelet and chocolate croissant were both unbelievably good, leaving me no choice but to return for breakfast the following morning. It was then I decided that my omelet and chocolate croissant were indeed THE BEST I have ever, leaving me yearning to return to NYC, if only to revisit The Mandarin Hotel. It was in one word, EXCEPTIONAL and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed everything regarding our stay at the Hotel! We are already counting the days until we can return. Thank you for everything and for helping to make our weekend stay such a wonderful one!

- atl_trav917 (10/5): Service is the differentiator - Five star experience for sure, with just a caveat or two at the end which may or may not matter. The location is good but no better than many others, the entry level rooms are much bigger than most other NYC hotels and the bathrooms are quite large. But what differentiates the Mandarin is the very consistent high service standard, which has to be a testament to their training. We found this at check in, at every bar and restaurant, and even housekeeping, Always helpful without being intrusive, gracious at all times, again, a consistency across the staff that I probably haven't seen anywhere else. Breakfast is a strong suit, again service fantastic, coffee refills without having to ask, the little things done so well. As for the caveats, aside from breakfast, the Mandarin is not a destination for lunch or dinner, and there is no bar scene to speak of. So while the views from the lounge are exceptional, it's not a see or be seen place like some of the more historic NYC hotel bars. I should add that the Mandarin just opened a new speakeasy bar to go along with the lounge, we had a drink there, cocktail was very good, service again outstanding, but doubt it will become a local hangout. So for 90% of travelers, you can't really do better than the Mandarin. But if having a special hotel bar and destination restaurant for lunch and dinner is important, you might make a different choice.

The staff goes above and beyond — the service is unparalleled, and the housekeeping impeccable. I was especially blessed by Wendy’s kindness and attention to every detail as she supported me while I worked from my room. And Miles welcomed me with such warmth and a thoughtful letter that made me feel like a true New Yorker again. This place will always remain one of my most special places.

The room and service was fantastic! Not to mention the new speak easy bar, which was so much fun and the drinks were on point. We highly recommend a stay here if you are looking for top notch service and a wonderful experience whether locally or travelling from another country!

Staff was very helpful and overall we had a wonderful time. Yarisol was super helpful...Coming to the MO front desk for our first time was a little overwhelming. Yarisol made us feel comfortable and was very imformative.

- andrewwR9148ZN (2/5): Overhyped and Useless - Absolutely not worth the effort or expense for an overnight. Try the Cipriani instead. Or the Chelsea Hotel. Or any of the other great NYC hotels just down the street or across the park (St Regis, Plaza, etc.). Great but very false presentation, cheap and poorly trained staff, uptight and inflexible beyond belief. The one star is for the great lunch I had earlier this year and the piss poor reception I had for an actual stay. This is coming from a lifelong NY'er and professional documentary filmmaker who has seen these places come and go. Let this one go. I have. Happily cut their locations off from hundreds of thousands of dollars over the course of my career and lifetime because they couldn't adapt or accommodate. Take your business elsewhere. I've literally seen them all from the this nightmare to the Savoy... The Mandarin Oriental in NYC is absolutely not worth the hype. Trust a seasoned traveler and location pro, and someone who grew up in this city and neighborhood. If you must, pre-book and pre-pay your stay - staff are so uptight, ignorant and poorly trained as to be unable to recognize and accommodate a professional traveller on an expense account even if you're staring them in the face. Unacceptable and inflexible, stay at your own risk. Even so, tipped the bellmen $20 each to carry my bags in and then out again 30 minutes later - not their fault they work in that kind of environment. They are your best friends in places like this, never the management who were looking for tips just for a smooth check-in. I'm too practiced to let them hold my luggage hostage, as they apparently have for other travelers. Fellow professionals, this is NOT some petty grievance about towels or a lunch gone awry. This is a seasoned traveller and documentarian putting down tens of thousands for just a few nights accommodation, plus tips, but which in the end were MUCH better served across town. Even their so-called 'speakeasy' bar is a nameless joke. You're much better off at the King Cole in the St Regis or Bemelmans at the Carlyle despite the potential crowds. Go early. Those are actually NY legends, unlike this front. Take the word of a seasoned NY'er, the service and accommodations are much better on Central Park South or across town on the Upper East Side. Anyone looking for the real NYC experience... This is not it. At the end of the day they turned out to be just another chain hotel. Visit a real New York legend instead, like the Chelsea, The Carlyle or the Plaza. Literally ANY other NYC legend before this recent and overhyped nightmare.

Yarisol at the front desk was outstanding. She exhibited a perfect blend of professionalism, elegance, and warmth. Special mentions: Betty from the minibar/room service team ensured that our room was fully stocked and met our every need. Lucy from guest services was also exemplary, corresponding with me prior to check-in to ensure a seamless experience. The hotel's exceptional facilities and staff truly earn it a five-star rating. We highly recommend this establishment.

From the front-desk welcome, to the bell-persons, to the conceirge desk booking a phenonmenal boat cruise AND great restaurant suggestions, to the maid service and "behind the scenes staff" walking the hallways, EVERYONE was focused on giving us a lovely experience. And, an extra thank you for my birthday gift sent to the room. Champagne, charcuterie and a cake.....my weekend was so special. And, all the more so because of your superior team at the Mandarin NYC.
