- ASeenath (10/5): Loved it! - We had a lovely stay at Hotel Mirabell. The rooms were comfortable, the amenities were good, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. The location is very central, which made it easy to get around, and overall we could not have asked for much more. The hotel is branded as a sustainability-focused hotel, which is a great initiative. That said, as a Geography prof, it did make me reflect a little on where the line sits between genuine sustainability and simple cost-cutting. For example, basic housekeeping such as sweeping the room and emptying bins does not seem inherently unsustainable, and some energy-saving measures, like manually switching off lights, could perhaps be improved with motion sensors. These are more observations than criticisms, but in the wider discussion around sustainability and greenwashing, they are interesting points to consider. Overall, though, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

Very close to Hauptbahnhof, trams, busses, metro etc. Rooms not to big, but efficient and functional. Bathroom pretty small and shower in bath is not convenient for elderly people. Airco for ventilation and climatization pretty noisy. Breakfast pretty expensive (better tot go to Backwerk around the corner). Price-quality balance is moderate.

- KathyT440 (8/5): Surprisingly good experience in a minimalist hotel - We were in town for Oktoberfest, so the room was expensive, but it was near our friends who were staying at a REALLY expensive hotel. We chose it based on location. The rooms are really small, but had all the amenities we needed. Clean comfortable bed, necessary bathroom facilities, everything was just fine. When we arrived and saw the business of the neighborhood, and knowing it was Oktoberfest, we thought we might have a lot of noise that would interfere with sleeping, but we did not. Our room looked out on a courtyard and that made all the difference. The staff were helpful. We parked there and that was quite the adventure. The spaces are underground and tight! It all worked out and we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Great shawarma just down the street!

- LandCompany (8/5): Great stay very near Oktoberfest Grounds - A group of us stayed at Hotel Mirabell for a visit to Oktoberfest. The hotel was exceptionally clean and we appreciated the great air conditioning since there was a heatwave happening while we were there. The hotel also offers an elevator which is sometimes not always the case in older buildings. The elevator was a much-welcomed addition after a long day at Oktoberfest. Another plus of this hotel is you are minutes away from the parade route. We read some reviews regarding the area not being very desirable. We did not find this to be the case and felt very safe. There is a strong Turkish population in the area, and we found them to be welcoming. There is a laundry facility close to the hotel, a grocery, and if you don't want the cuisine in the area then a ten-minute walk gets you to everything from great Italian to traditional German cuisine. We appreciated the hospitality of the hotel staff as our group liked to play cards, and they allowed us to use the downstairs breakfast area for this activity. We found this hotel is a must stay for Oktoberfest.

Minutes from the train station, you can walk one direction to the Oktoberfest grounds or the opposite direction to old town Munich. The staff were very friendly and the morning breakfast was first class.

Once we arrived everything was perfect. We were able to get into our room right away. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. I would stay again if I return to Munich.

- Maps40579 (6/5): Not bad but with odd quirks - The hotel is generally fine for its price bracket and is super convenient both to the central train station and Oktoberfest (the purpose of my trip). Breakfast is also pretty good. Two weird things that detracted from my experience: (1) There is a door (totally unnecessary in my view) that separates the bedroom from the entry foyer and the bathroom in the room. Unfortunately, it has a complete door frame like an outside door. In the middle of the night, I ran into the floor part of that door frame and hurt my foot. I totally did not expect there to be a raised part in the floor in the middle of a small hotel room. (2) The comforter you get is tiny. I mean it is enough to cover an adult lying perfectly straight. But why can't we have a normal comforter that covers the entire bed? Seems like a bizarre saving that makes sleep that much less relaxing.

- Janice (6/5): - Breakfast was fabulous! Great variety. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about places to visit and to eat. The hotel was a 10-15 minute walk from the train station, although a little challenging along cobblestones with suitcases! Neighbourhood was poorly lit after dark. The room was very disappointing. So tiny, you had to step into the corridor to change your mind. We had no room to put our suitcases but on the bed in the morning and on the floor at night, leaving a minefield of luggage and clothing to navigate. If we spent any time in the room there was not a single chair so had to sit on the bed, which we couldn't because that's where our suitcases lived! The bathroom was clean and well lit. However, there was very limited shelving for two people for three nights. Items were always knocked on the floor which, well, ick. Wouldn't recommend for more than one night.

- Dave (8/5): - The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. Location is on a busy corner with plenty of construction nearby and could get somewhat noisy. If your plans involve using the train system multiple times this property may work for you since the Central Station is only a few blocks away. The walk to the hub- Marienplatz is approximately 25 minutes. Also, if you’re accustomed to maid service, this may not be the spot for you. If your going for Oktoberfest, it will be easy to get there.
- Bernard (6/5): - Reservation king bed: given Queen size Neighborhood very sketchy. Not a feeling at all of cleanliness Receptionist describes it as “very multicultural” neighborhood. Nothing but men hanging around together. No Germans around if that’s what you are thinking before you get there. Room very spacious and clean. Forget about parking in streets- gotta pay $19 euros per night.

- SantiM68 (8/5): A good stay, close to the city center - I had a good stay a Maier's. Overall I liked the most the kindness at the reception and the breakfast. The hotel is in a good location, 10 mins. far from the city center on foot. Parking is available, in the basement through a car-lifter, therefore always ask before if your car will enter in the lifter. The room was a bit small. Clean, but not the cleanest I've ever seen: all shelves were full of dust. In general, if I consider position, quality of stay and price, I would recomment staying at Maier.

Those with lots of luggage will struggle to find room. That's not a pick, rather a word of advice. While the area around the hotel seemed to be a little run down we did not feel unsafe at anytime. The welcome drink was a nice touch. The included breakfast was very good with a variety of foods and offerings to satisfy all tastes.

- johnhP769HY (8/5): modern, clean, friendly, locally-run central Munich hotel - Only a few blocks from the Hauptbahnhof and U4/U5 U-Bahn trains. Even though my room was not very large, it was well-organized, quiet, and comfortable. Great air conditioning and layout of a small space. I did not experience any issues with noise. The mattress was nice and firm - not the case with several of the hotels during my 2-week trip to Germany and the Czech Republic. The staff was friendly, and their copious breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options. I would likely stay there again. Lodging in Munich is expensive, but this hotel was less expensive than many of the well-known hotel chains in the area.

It’s a short walk to the main train station and was a bit confusing to find the entrance at first but all went perfect after that. Our room faced the back and was nice and quiet at night. Breakfast was great and plenty of choices. There is free coffee, tea in the lobby 24/7. Jan and Marta ( front desk staff) were so friendly and made our stay enjoyable. Would definitely stay again.
- Doratheexplorers123 (8/5): Comfortable stay - The location was very good considering how close all the major parts of the city are, also bed and pillows were very comfortable. Place was very tight room wise as space was limiting however every necessity was there so for a quick sleep it was good. Reception was very friendly and with great warm attitude, the breakfast service was quite poor, as the lady didn't seem to like foreigners speaking english and was cold, didn't try to explain the process about seating, taking food and so forth, usually that is done in other places. All in all, it was good.
- Trail44147508100 (8/5): A good stay - We found a great staff and very comfortable room. The sleep was excellent due to noise absence. The location is close to Hauptbanhof, and there are a lot of tram and metro stop very close.

- 54camb (8/5): 4.5 star rating in a 4 star area - For family of three. A very nice hotel. Friendly personal service, great communication. Attended reception!. Comfortable, clean and spacious. Quiet area. Very easy to get to from main train station – 7 minutes. A little outside of the main town area, but only by 4-7 minutes’ walk to old town and major bus transport. Plenty of food and conveniences nearby. Older room fitout but clean and functional, VERY comfortable beds, all amenities and usable bathrooms. No complaints at all. Recommended.
- Calvinluvsfood (8/5): Good hotel near the Munich Central Station and a few minutes walk to the city centre. - Location: situated about 10 minutes walk from the Munich central station. It is about 15 minutes walk to the main city centre. It is surrounded by restaurants and a supermarket. Hotel Check-In process: you can either use the tablet which is quick way to do it. Nice little touch with the friendly receptionist with two welcome drinks. Hotel lobby: Free flavoured water, free coffee machine, and mixed teas. You can purchase toiletries if you forget or soft drinks or alcohol. Room: booked the premium room via their main website which was cheaper. Room was reasonable sized and very tidy. There is a hairdryer. Big flat screen which connects to your phone or netflix and random TV channels. Bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning was temperamental. It was really cold even at the 23-24 degrees celcius setting or very hot when it got above this. Shower was strong but one major flaw was the shower screen. There is a small gap that when you shower can flood the outside of the shower-room. Free WiFi which is really good. Sustainability: The hotel works on a sustainability model and no one will go into the room until you ask for some room housekeeping to take place. Restaurant: there is a breakfast restaurant but we didn't go into the restaurant. Others: You can leave your luggage in the hotel for free.

It is in a very busy neighbourhood, the street side is quite busy so if you sleep with the window open it can be a bit disruptive, but when it was closed it was fine. The room was great, bed is comfy. The hotel is a short walk to the train station and not far from Marianplatz. Breakfast is stellar, right down to the convenient juicer with fresh fruits and veg to make your own, and there is a coffee/tea machine and fresh water available in the lobby at all times. Staff was incredibly friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this property!

- Heather (10/5): Just what I needed - Clean rooms, comfy bed, great shower with hot water and good water pressure! I was basically just there to sleep and shower so it was exactly what I needed Just a note that their elevator is VERY small - if you use a mobility aid like a wheelchair or scooter this hotel may not be a good fit. There is also no elevator access to the 7th floor so if you can climb stairs let them know so you get a room with elevator access. Also if you like middle eastern food there are plenty of good options nearby along with a supermarket (Rewe) right down the street.
- ghatzel (10/5): excellent staff and service - the location of the hotel is very good based on the proximity to the higlights of the city, everything was in pristine working order, soundproof and heated properly, but most of all the staff was exeptional very kind and helpful.
- Birgit (10/5): Wochenende in München - Die Lage zum Hauptbahnhof ist ausgezeichnet. Auch der online Check in war easy und der Empfang an der Rezeption sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer sind trotz Straßenlage sehr ruhig. Ganz ausgezeichnet war auch das Frühstück und die dortige Bedienung, leider wurde uns ein anderer Preis als auf der Hotels.com Seite angezeigt, in Rechnung gestellt. Schade, dass wir es nicht vorgebucht hatten.

- 836annabellaf (10/5): Perfect for a long weekend around Munich - Hotel Mirabell is perfectly situated. It is right next to the main train station and very near to the old town - a perfect hotel for exploring the city. The rooms have all amenities needed and the pillows were very comfortable. The staff really go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. Yannis, in particular, was a perfect host. He is very knowledgeable and friendly - an asset to the hotel!

The location is excellent and Elisa, who checked us in was very warm, friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable & cozy & had all the amenities one needs for a relaxing stay. The beverage counter in the lobby was very well stocked with a variety of teas & coffee and great place to mingle with the other guests in the hotel. The breakfast was outstanding. There was a huge spread and each item was delicious. Rita, the server, was attentive, friendly and helpful and made sure we totally enjoyed our breakfast! We highly recommend this Hotel to travelers from around the world.

- ronsN5384OD (6/5): A great “no-frills” layover - We visited Munich for one night via train on our way to Innsbruck. The hotel is close to the train statin and about a 10-15 walk to Marienplatz. The hotel is clean and the staff is great. The price was great for what it is. A great hotel for a quick “no frills” layover.

- Taryn (10/5): Great hotel! - We loved the Hotel Mirabell. We were in Munich for Oktoberfest and the location was within walking distance to everything. Hotel was clean, rooms were small but comfortable and the staff were so accommodating. The buffet breakfast was fantastic. We will be back, thank you!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Munich visit - The hotel is actually located in a very active area of town. Parking is on your own specially if you have a bigger vehicle, so best to check before you book. Our initial room was on the 2nd floor and it is above a restaurant so while the room was clean, it smelled of food. The window also faced the street where the street life stayed on late. Staff were kind and did their best to move us to a different room. It’s near the train station and lots of restaurants.
