Guest Reviews
- Gaile (6/5): - A good bed and breakfast. I was in Rome during Pope Francis' funeral, which I attended. The location was great...a few minutes walk to via Ottaviano and not far from the Vatican.
The staff were always pleasant and helpful.
A pity there was no breakfast.
The shower head in the first room (#410) did not stay on the clip in the wall, and the shower stall filled up when I showered.
After two days, I was moved to another room where everything worked fine.
Thanks to the very helpful staff.
- Galindo (10/5): - The office was really helpful and nice the place was great
- mohsen (4/5): - very bad
- Giulia (10/5): - Ottima struttura, facilmente raggiungibile, personale molto disponibile. Lo consiglio.
- Jamie (10/5): - Great
- Kaua (8/5): - Quite average Hotel but pretty typical for italian conditions. Old furnitures, some dirt here and there, bathroom gets flooded while taking a shower, bad painted walls and so on... The typical italian way of life :-)
The bed is quite hard.
On the other hand not too expensive, good service (new towels each day, bed is done every day), nice crew.
The rooms are in floor 4, the reception is in floor 1, outside it was written floor 7, a bit confusing to find.
The city center is not that close but metro station and busses around. Walking distance to Vatican around 25 min. To Collosseo around 1 hour (25 to 30 min by metro). To Spanish steps around 30 min (10 min by metro).
Overall a good stay for 3 to 4 days if you don't expect too much.
- Jonathan (4/5): - Hotel room was dingy and not very clean. The manager was dismissive about maintenance items I brought to his attention. The area was very noisy even the middle of night, constant garbage trucks and car alarms all night. All of that and $230 a night to boot. The only saving grace was a few good restaurants in the area and the Vatican within walking distance.
- Francesca (10/5): - Great place to stay for a few nights. Everyone working was very nice and accommodating. We got upgraded to a nicer room. Good for people staying on a budget. Fairly walkable to all of Rome’s sights. Would come back
Aanrader!
- Francisco (10/5): - Fantastica su ubicacion
- Alex (10/5): - We had construction work going on outside of our apartment which happened for the majority of the day throughout our stay. This included noises equipment moving construction materials up and down the building directly outside our front door. When looking at the rooms near the reception, these seems a lot higher quality than our flat. The kitchen floor was extremely unclean and damaged.
- Aleksan (4/5): - a
- Stefano (8/5): - Posizione ottima, rapporto qualità prezzo buono. Peccato per l'assenza della colazione
- Samantha (10/5): - Nice staff and location!
- Siu (8/5): - Very close to all amenities even walk short distance to the Vatican City. We so lucky the Staff updated our room no extra charges.Thank you so much appreciated.
- Anhtina (10/5): - The staff was extremely helpful in every way! They allowed luggage to be held at the facilities past check out which gave us more time in Rome. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the location is perfect.
- Massimo (8/5): - O
- ralf (8/5): - zum damaligen preis sehr gut zum heutigen völlig überteuert
- Giovanni Niccolo (10/5): Sempre una stella? Mmh io direi 2 almeno. Come minimo 2 stelle.
Minimo 2 stelle.
- Giovanni Niccolo (8/5): Una stella? Ma dai! O 2 o 3 stelle!
- Lilian (10/5): Perfect location to the Vatican! - Went here for my birthday trip. My first time in Italy and I didnt know what to expect. Great room, service and location. They spoke English which made it easier to communicate with. Check in and out was a breeze and the views are simply amazing.
- rita73225 (8/5): Good location, great value for money - I stayed here for 4 night. Good location (close to metro and Vatican), very comfy bed and pillows, helpful staff!
When I asked for a change of rooms (a quieter one), I got moved the following day to a room twice that size.
The rooms could do with some tlc (wallpapers peeling in places), but very clean.
Very good experience overall, would definitely go back!
- szenyess (10/5): The good place - Friendly and welcoming staff, clean rooms, perfect for staying in while visiting the city. We booked on the same day we arrived due to some unfortunate events at the previous place. They were very helpful and accommodating.
- StaceyP602 (10/5): Clean, Quiet, Comfy! - Great stay, very comfortable bed! Would highly recommend it. Quiet Room and street. Very very clean hotel, which in the city is fantastic.
Note: If you book taxi through hotel, ask for the cab to come 30 minutes earlier than you actually need it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): fint - Vi hadde fine netter i Roma her
- 436yanan (8/5): Amazing weekend - Amazing place near the Vatican! I was there in the April with my boyfriend and we were so happy to chose this hotel! The place is in the center near the most beautiful places. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The stuff speak English very good. Thank you for all. We will back again ! ;)
Check out veloce.
- Mauro (10/5): Hotel per ottimo soggiorno smart vicino San Pietro - Staff cortese, camera ben riscaldata, materasso molto comodo, ottimo rapporto qualità / prezzo.
Me hizo llegar tarde a mi cita. No me llamo un taxi. Discutio conmigo.
- NasCee (10/5): The best place in Rome - A hop, skip and a jump from the Pope and the Vatican, this delightfully elegant hotel is one in a million and the manager is simply the best! She took care of me when I was ill, even going so far as to make an infusion of hot water and honey to soothe my cough! And when I had to work on my laptop, she offered me a cappuccino and a brioche on the house! I can't wait to go back!
- Joasphoto (2/5): No go. - To start, the room carpet was filthy, absolutely disgusting, it must to have many years of usage and no wash, to the point where you can feel the bugs biting your legs. Check in was delayed as the bedroom was not ready on time. Breakfast was expensive for what was offered, better to go to the coffee shop around the corner, it definitely has more value for money. But there were good points thou, clean bed sheets, clean bathroom (but terrible water pressure) and good location. end of the story... it doesn't worth it. If you want to stay around Vatican area, just try to find another accommodation. This Residenza dei Quiriti is way below the lower standards, specially because the filthiness of the rooms carpet.
In my personal opinion, this whole place needs a renovation... wallpapers, carpet, bathroom tiles, water pressure, furniture, everything. The place is old, dirty and outdated. The owner is probably saving money to buy a new Ferrari instead investing and improvement of his own business.
The thing is, Rome has such volume of tourists that those kind of places like Residenza dei Quiriti doesn't even bother to improve themselves, they will get customers anyway... unfortunately.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good standard for small price
Is a 1 star hotel lol but looks better then that
- GELBERT (10/5): very nice place to stay - great location, friendly staff
- Agnieszka (8/5): Super lokalizacja. - Spędziłam z córką w Rzymie 6 nocy. Hotel w świetnej lokalizacji, miła i pomocna obsługa, ładny pokój. Codzienne sprzątanie - bez wymiany pościeli i ręczników. Jakość w stosunku do ceny oceniamy wysoko!
- Stefano (8/5): Buona soluzione - Buon rapporto qualità / prezzo senza troppe pretese
- Verified traveler (6/5): discreto - Carino, pulito, parcheggio impossibile, personale atroce.
- 660elker (6/5): Simple and ok - This residence is really ok. Not special but price quality vs service was not bad. The staff did not seem to be extremely happy to be helping us but you know, I can't say I was really bothered by that. The room was clean and the water was hot. The bed was very comfy and big enough for us Dutchies. All was there we needed. The hotel needs refurbishing and I could see they already started doing the breakfast area. The breakfast was basic, as suspected, only a croissant and toast, no fresh bread. Its 5 minutes from the Vatican and 20 minutes from the Trevi fountain. For us a perfect location. We walked everywhere. We did not use the Metro. If you do not mind old styled rooms and middle service you can book this hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Buen hotel - Para dormir esta super!
- jmgmad (6/5): Good place to sleep - Small rooms in the center of Rome. Very quiet place with a average functioning Wi-Fi and A/C. Vatican and other main sights of the city can be reached easily. Room and public area were clean. Nice breakfast served with a smile from the staff.
- alejandrol240 (6/5): Hot summer without air conditioner - The room had the Air conditioner broken and the hotel did not do anything to get it fix, we report the issue and they said that they will inform the owner, after a long day in the hot summer we get room to rest and it was hotter than outside. We have to ask for a fan which we get after mid night.
Personale simpatico.
- 822tomh (8/5): Very very nice small central hotel - Highly recommendable small hotel in the heart of Rome. Ultra quite with well functioning Wifi and A/C. Rooms of good size and nice firm beds.
The Hotel staff was extremely friendly and service minded. All requests was meet fast and effective.
Nice breakfast served with a smile from the staff
Do go there next time in Rome.
- Budapest_HungaryEvi (6/5): Excellent location - This accomodation has excellent location, Vatican and other main sights of the city can be reached easily. Room and public area were clean. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Do not expect hotel services, breakfast is very poor.
- 193stephs (2/5): THEY'RE OUT TO KEEP YOUR MONEY! WATCH OUT! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE - This hotel has REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. They take your money and dont refund it when they are supposed to. I will never in my life book this place again. They are very HORRIBLE. Front Desk is useless. DO NOT trust them!!!!!!!
- tareng2017 (6/5): Adequate but not the best - The only good things I have to say about this hotel is the location (5min from Vatican and tour bus stops) and the friendliness of the staff who checked us in at 11pm after we'd missed our flights. The breakfast was the same everyday and for a continental breakfast, it was bare minimum (croissant, malba toast, tea/coffee). The mini bar wasn't stocked although we did use it for our own drinks and food. Not somewhere I would consider staying again.
- DmytroSK (6/5): Good location, but not the best hotel - My feelings about living in this hotel aren't good. The room was ok, but the bathroom is really small and don't have any ventilation, just window. Also that thing that they call air conditioner is not air conditioner and it was very hot in the room. And if you want to live in this hotel in summer time you should be ready that it will be very hot. For us it was bad surprise. We should also note that you will have portioned breakfast. One croissant and a cup of coffee and juice plus flakes.
- CeceliaC172 (6/5): Close to Vatican - We stayed here on a recent trip to Rome. We were six friends traveling together following a cruise and stayed for three nights in three rooms. The rooms a little noisy during the day but quiet at night. There is an elevator but it is small(holds 2 people) and slow, but still better than climbing up four flights of steps. Breakfast was typical Italian but was enough. Friendly staff and made phone calls for our shuttle service to airport. It is a 2 star hotel and you get what you pay for.
- markc971 (4/5): A Misleading description - Considering the description of this hotel, it turned out to be very disappointing.
The hotel advertised a relaxing bar. It did not exist. There were a few bottles (& I mean a few!) at the counter of the breakfast area, but absolutely nowhere one could sit comfortably & relax. the advertised mini-bar in the room was empty, & the 3rd bed in the room would not be suitable for any one aged 7 years or above. The AC unit in the room was adequate, but broken- I considered it dangerous. There was a notice on the window not to open the shutters for security reasons! Hence no view.
Breakfast, if you could call it that, was the bare minimum to qualify for 'continental'. No fruit juice & only one cup of coffee offered. 1 croissant, 1 roll, & a couple of dried toasts.
All in all very disappointing and not living up to it's own publicity. The only thing really to
recommend it was it's reasonable proximity to the Vatican/
- LievenB_12 (8/5): Good price/quality - We've had a nice stay in this hotel. The room and the staff was fine. Good price/quality . The location was excellent 5 min walk to the Vatican or the historic centrum.
- ErikP331 (6/5): Holidays - The hotel was OK. The breakfast was ordinary and the same every morning. The rooms were OK and the cleaning also. We ask the staff for a taxi to bring us to the airport early in the morning, but they ordered a privat driver. It was not OK. Taxi costs 30 EUR to the airport, the privat driver 50 EUR. We had no alternativ, at this time of the day. So if you need a taxi order it your self.
- 2Cris (8/5): Comfortable hotel - The hotel is very affordable and is very close to Vatican and Castle D'Angelo, few minutes walk away from Piazza del Popolo. The hotel is at the first floor very clean, the room we had was clean everything smells like vinegar because they use it to soften the laundries. The breakfast is very very poor. The biggest problem was the air condition that didn't work.
- muffinHertfordshire (8/5): Comfortable place to stay - We booked this hotel through the internet, and had read some of the reviews previously written about this hotel. The hotel is situated in a suburb, it can be noisey from traffic during the week, but at the weekend was quieter. We have just returned from a tour of Italy, we had an enjoyable and comfortable stay at this hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful, our room was cleaned everyday (we stayed for 5 days) and towels also changed. Our room also had air conditioning at no extra charge. What we did not find out until we arrived was infact that this hotel arranges tours of the vatican and included in the tour is a bus tour of Rome. The Vatican is within walking distance, along with a shops and various cafes, bars and resturants. The metro station is also within walking distance, Lepanto. The breakfast although basic is ok consisting of a crossant, bread roll, packet of toast, various jams etc.We have no complaints about this hotel and are happy to recommend, indeed if we were to go back to Rome would certainly go back.
