Mark (10/5): A great little hotel tucked away in a quiet location but with all the amenities and little things that make a hotel stan - The hotel is a great location, close enough to everything but tucked away so there is hardly any noise or crowds at its entrance. It has a direct water taxi drop-off, and the reception team speaks great English and they were always very helpful. The rooms were a good size and the breakfast ticked most of the boxes. For me it worked well as I could walk to the primary locations within 5 -10 minutes There really aren’t any negatives - everything was as described in the room booking. Do not expect palatial 5 star rooms and amenities - it typically aligns to a good 4 star with big rooms, good bathroom (and bath) and everything you need for a few days holiday.

FelthamFoodie (8/5): Pleasant stay in a good location. - The location is excellent for access to St Marks Square and the vaporetto. Endless opportunities to eat and drink in the vicinity, but do your research for the most authentic as prices can be steep for poor quality. The Liassidi Palace is a comfortable hotel with authentically styled bedrooms and general decor. However, small improvements could make a huge difference to the overall experience: Replacing old style fixed hairdryers with something more effective. Ensuring that fridges actually keep their contents cold - ours did not. Placing tea and coffee making facilities in accessible locations - ours was on a shelf below the safe in a cupboard and was too low and enclosed to make tea making easy. The shabby chic decor (i.e. scuffed/chipped) whilst not to everyone's taste didn't bother me but with a little maintenance would lift the general appearance. The shower was a new style add unit, and was almost impossible to stay in for longer than it took to get wet, and throw a soapy sponge about your body as it was so small. I'm a size 12, 66 year old female, height 5' 6" with no mobility issues - how most men would manage I have no idea. I do however understand the logistical nightmare of modernising old buildings such as those in Venice. No air conditioning, which wasn't a problem in April but in July would be, particularly as canal traffic can be noisy. Again I accept that building age can be a factor for this type of addition. That said: The bed and pillows were firm but comfortable. Staff on the reception desk were helpful and pleasant. Staff in the breakfast area could be hit and miss in terms of how they interacted with guests. A warm welcome goes a long way! Breakfast itself was reasonably good with a fair choice of the usual pastries, cheeses, scrambled eggs and bacon, toast, yoghurt and fresh fruit. Overall, I would recommend the Liassidi Palace but would like to compare facilities (photos/reviews) of other hotels in the vicinity of a similar star/price before a return visit.

Es una habitación enorme, perfecta para una familia de 4. Es clásica, tipo palacete pero con comodidades modernas como el suelo de tarima o la presión del agua perfecta. Ambiente súper tranquilo para descansar después de un día de turismo. Si quieres un taxi acuático puedes pedirlo a la puerta porque tiene embarcadero. Cambiaría la bañera por una ducha grande con mampara que no dejara salir el agua, ya poniéndome exquisita. Se puede mejorar la calidad y variedad del desayuno pero bueno no está mal.

Robert (10/5): Ein perfektes Hotel, für einen Städtetrip / Venedig ! - Das Hotel ist perfekt renoviert (geschichtlich aus der gotischen Zeit), Zugang ein wenig versteckt über einen Innenhof / Vorgarten, der Frühstücksraum / Bar mit direktem Blick auf den Kanal. Viele Details / Bilder lassen die Nostalgie aufleben. Die „Seufzerbrücke“, ein paar Schritte…. Alle Hotel-Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit (mit Begleitung zum Hotelzimmer bei der Anreise !!!) Das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen, das die Gegend doch ruhig ist, gute Restaurants gleich ums Eck !!! Die nächste „Wasserboot“-Haltestelle …400m / Verbindung zum Bahnhof ! …da gibt‘s nicht‘s zu beanstanden !

Nous le recommandons. - L'hôtel est très bien placé et se situe dans un palais magnifique dont la façade principal donne sur un canal. Le hall qui jouxtait notre chambre au 2ème étage est époustouflant par sa taille, ses ouvertures sur le canal, son mobilier. On pouvait s'y tenir pour lire, travailler etc sur les nombreux fauteuils ou canapés. Le petit-déjeuner se prend dans un sous-sol donnant sur le canal d'où les passagers des gondoles de passage peuvent vous saluer. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et servi par un personnel très sympathique. Le directeur de l'hôtel que nous pensons avoir croisé à l'accueil est très affable et a répondu efficacement à une sollicitation de notre part. La chambre était au calme. La dame qui se trouvait à l'accueil à notre arrivée et notre départ n'est vraiment pas chaleureuse, c'est le moins que l'on puisse dire ! La chambre, donnant sur le patio (ce que nous savions à la réservation) est plus petite que nous le pensions mais le lit est très spacieux et confortable, ce qui est le principal. En revanche la salle de bain est totalement désuète, la robinetterie, très vintage, ne fonctionne plus très bien (douche/baignoire). La baignoire "balnéo" est un "plus" agréable au retour de journées de longues déambulations, mais "accuse son age" elle aussi .

511natak (2/5): Skip it - Let be honnest. First it is a great location, less than 10min of walk from piazza San Marco. The bed is confortable. And those are the positive things . I ve booked the Deluxe double room , breakfast included 130/night. The walls are as if they don t exist. You can hear everything, I mean every single noise , from the attending rooms. Water running, shower, conversations , people Moving fourniture, falling small objects . One of the most restless hotel stays I ve ever had by far.. and I am a frequent traveller for decades. Impossible to sleep properly or just have a rest during the day. Same for the windows, they are not sound proof. Then the hair dryer. I mean who uses still those,it is completly useless. A basic hairdryer costs around 30 euros , it would be nice to put some in the rooms. Then the breakfast ( 20euros) is poor. Scrambled eggs bathing in grease, some pieces of saussage in hot water.. the bread is uneatable, not a trace from some greens or vegetable. 2 types of yogurt, no gluten free option .. and so on .. don t bother paying for it go and find a bakery outside. Overall it is not good value for the money ..

536shanicea (10/5): Couples trip - After reading some of the reviews, we were initially a little apprehensive about staying at this hotel; however, our experience was far from negative. The location was excellent, within easy walking distance of the places we wanted to visit. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. Our room was clean, spacious, and well maintained, with daily housekeeping. The large queen-sized bed was very comfortable, and the shower was excellent. We were also pleasantly surprised to be offered a complimentary late check-out, which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was included, and while it was fairly simple, it met our needs. The selection consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, continental options, and two juice choices (apple and grapefruit). It was adequate, though there is room for improvement with a wider variety such as sausages, fresh fruit, or fried eggs. We had noticed several recent reviews mentioning bed bugs; however, this was not our experience at all. What we did encounter were mosquitoes, which we saw frequently. Both my partner and I were bitten, but this appeared to be due to having the window open rather than an issue related to cleanliness or the hotel itself. For £587, our package included four nights, breakfast, and flights for two people, which we felt was excellent value for money. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and felt well looked after. We would happily stay here again.
