- chantelle (10/5): - A fantastic location in the heart of the City yet this hotel is an oasis of calm. The Front of House manager (Kash) was warm and so friendly, rainfall shower was excellent, bed super comfy and the whole hotel was very clean. Nothing
- Gretchen (8/5): Great location, stylish room, friendly staff. - Nicely designed room with comfortable bed; also fridge, kettle and complimentary bottled water. Interesting photo books in the room. Pleasant hotel bar. Located on a beautiful green square, close to public transport.

- S966IZannar (10/5): Wonderful experience , well situated hotel in the heart of London - The hotel is in a wonderful location and my wife and I went up to London for one of the palace garden parties . We were there for two days and were met warmly by Victor at the desk who was so hopeful in organising our stay and ensuring we had everything we needed . He was friendly and gave us a wonderful
welcome . The room was lovely and well worth the money and we had a lovely view overlooking the square . Breakfast was also good value for money and Steven , who served us was very helpful . Speedy service . We will definitely be returning .
- Mobile57465639299 (10/5): Excelent stay in perfect location! - Beautiful building and rooms, excelent location (near 2 metro stations!), bars and bakery near by. Very nice staff, comfortable room. This was our 2nd stay here and we hope to come again!

- duncanp661 (10/5): First class & faultless. - Such a lovely authentic reception by Kasturi. What a great first impression I received at Malmasion, London.
Restaurant team too were first class, I will be asking my organisation to promote this hotel for colleagues staying in London. This hotel is faultless.
- sheenalouisek (10/5): An excellent stay! - Excellent stay, Victor in reception was super friendly, helpful and efficient! Lovely room and a fab breakfast!
- Durham2013 (10/5): Great experience - Beautiful hotel, great room, great location. The entire staff are friendly and attentive, most especially Fransesca who dealt with our check in and check out. Francesca is without doubt the perfect person to greet guests as she is pleasant, efficient and extremely helpful. She began and ended our stay in Malmaison which we enjoyed immensely. No hesitation in recommending Malmaison, London for a great luxurious stay and wonderful dining.
- leonkB5724KF (10/5): Small rooms but pretty - Clean and cute rooms. The employees, especially Adrian, were very friendly.
- SeanAspeling (10/5): Loved my stay room was good, early check in was accommodated! Really love this place. Francesca was awesome - Wonderful, convenient and clean
- O5295EQdiegop (10/5): Great Stay - I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were genuinely friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived — especially Adrian, who was exceptionally kind and helpful throughout my stay. My room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Overall, a great experience, and I’d definitely recommend it
- Ludivine (7/5): - L'emplacement dans un clos au calme. Le manque d'accueil et de convivialité du personnel de la réception.
- Peter (9/5): -
- Erik (8/5): - Good location, nice room, comfy beds. We ate in the restaurant our first night and the staff serving clearly didn't want to be there - slow, dismissive - they clearly could not be bothered. The food was not very good at all - I would not eat here again.
- Bharath (10/5): -
- Duncan (6/5): Great location, well designed, good do with a refresh and more staff - Great location, easy to get around and very quiet. Overall the hotel was well designed with some nice touches. Room was comfortable and a good size for London. Staff were overwhelmed especially at check out. Check in process was very unfriendly and confusion over payments wasn't handled well. The rooms on the surface looked good, but if you looked more closely they were getting tired and weren't that clean.
- Stefan (10/5): - Location is one of the best in London. Staff is very friendly. Sensational quality for a very reasonable price.
- Meri (10/5): A beautiful hotel that we always love to return to! - Excellent location, the hotel is beautiful with a view of the park, close to 2 metro stations, nice restaurants, bakery, pub across the street.
The staff is always friendly, it is especially convenient for us to leave our luggage before the check-in and on the last day of the trip. We are always happy to come back here! Whatever small problem arises, the staff is always ready to solve it immediately!
- clementa226 (10/5): Amazing Staff - I have a to say that employees of the Malmaison hotel are the kindest I've ever see in UK. Adrian saved my trip after I lost my bag during a business trip. He did everything to help me and he succeed.
He is best, thank you so much. Best service ever.
- Ivan (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at the Malmaison and couldn't recommend it highly enough. The location is absolutely brilliant — just a stone's throw from the Barbican, making it perfect for exploring the area with ease.
Our room was spacious and incredibly comfortable, giving us plenty of space to relax after a busy day out. Everything was well-appointed and we had everything we needed for a great night's sleep.
The staff were polite and attentive throughout our stay, always on hand with a friendly word and happy to help. A real highlight of the experience.
Overall, a fantastic stay and we'd love to return. If you're visiting the Barbican area, look no further!
- BackpackerBex (10/5): Excellent stay - Stayed for 3 nights, hotel excellent in a great quiet location. Staff were friendly, checked in by Victor who was so helpful and professional. Room was very spacious and clean. Will definitely stay again
- Tracy (10/5): Always love to stay at the Malmaison when we are in London, its so easy to get to and from the city - gorgeous breakfast, lovely selection.
- stephen (8/5): -
- Einat (9/5): Loved the hotel. Good choice, recommended. - Perfect location. Just a few meters from the near station. Bars and coffee shops just a few steps away. Nice neighbourhood. Smiling and accommodating staff. Nice room, clean and comfortable, big bathroom We faced some charging issues, with usb sockets, water was not always hot enough for us (we like very hot showers). The staff was helpful though.
- David (3/5): Below average stay - Location Check in & bed was uncomfortable pillow uncomfortable
- T3441NOpauls (10/5): Lovely hotel, good location and a lovely breakfast too - Doubra was fantastic, she welcomed us and checked us in initially.
She continued to be helpful and super friendly throughout our stay.
- LisaAndrewN (10/5): Great hotel tucked away but moments from everywhere - Great hotel tucked away, moments from everywhere. Room was fab, very spacious and clean. Victor made us feel very welcome upon arrival and looked us well during our stay 🥰
- davidnicholasb2026 (6/5): weekend business/ pleasure stay - location is amazing . atmosphere very chilled . rooms pretty good but lack any window light , cleanliness good staff helpful . only issues were noise from floor above , cleaners were quite loud and abrupt , and the ticking clock in the room . I just dont really see the point of a giant ticking wall clock next to the bed ? food was great and waiting staff very nice x
- K8897POchloew (10/5): Malmaison x TRILUX - We have an ongoing working relationship with Malmaison London Charterhouse Square and have consistently had excellent experiences, both personally and when arranging stays for our guests.
Several of our guests have stayed at the hotel and have all thoroughly enjoyed their experience, commenting on the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the facilities, and the overall atmosphere.
From a professional perspective, the team are fantastic to work with. Audrey in particular is amazing—always helpful, responsive, and a pleasure to deal with. The reception staff also deserve a mention for being consistently welcoming, efficient, and attentive, which really enhances the overall experience for our guests.
The location is ideal, offering a quiet setting just moments from Farringdon, and the hotel itself strikes a great balance between boutique style and comfort.
Overall, Malmaison Charterhouse Square is a trusted partner for us and somewhere we feel completely confident recommending for both business and leisure stays.
Thank you
- andreawO5205BA (10/5): Great stay at the Malmaison London - We stayed at the Malmaison London in April 2026. The Front end Manager, Kash and Desk Agent Lo were both exceptional. I traveled and hosted a group and I personally deal with medical allergies and they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. The food was amazing and the accommodations great for our liking. We did have an issue with AC in one of the rooms for our group but they handled it promptly and efficiently. The area was perfect in location and a historic area which was lovely to learn more about. Thank you to Dalma and Camilla for the coordination.
- N3241CBkellyc (10/5): Location, Clean, Yummy - Lovely stay - hits all the marks: good location from my office in London, clean rooms, friendly staff (Thank you Victor!), yummy dinner sent up to my room. I wish housekeeping had refilled my tea bags when they refreshed my room (the tea in your room is also very yummy).
- Daisymarten (10/5): Review - Kastari and Vietor made us feel very welcome. It is a lovely hotel very peaceful and great location. Amazing vegetarian breakfast too!
- peterrC2003OD (10/5): Always a great stay. - As ever, the Malmaison is our 1st choice for a London trip.
Everything works and the staff are excellent.
In particular, Kastuyr and Doubra were very attentive & helpful.
- 812nilse (10/5): Great place and service - Fantastic service from Liasturi who gave a great welcoming and also a free upgrade
- yael (8/5): - The room was really nice, the beds comfy and clean The room did not have a window
- jof93 (10/5): A gem near Farringdon Station - We stayed at Malmaison for two nights for a couple of nights of London entertainment. The welcome and in fact all interactions with the hotel reception staff were excellent, Victor especially.
The room was clean, really well appointed and comfortable. A great place to stay.
Located in Charterhouse Square it is also quiet and with a great outlook.
- Jonathan (10/5): A lovely hotel in a great location - The welcome the staff, especially Victor, who was wonderful, he made us feel so welcome and valued and was extremely warm and informative. Our room was lovely with everything we needed for our 2 night stay. The location was great very close to the Elizabeth line and Farringdon main line rail. The hotel is in a lovely, quiet place, so having a lie in was a doddle. We would definitely stay again Nothing
- thugc (10/5): Great Hotel, helpful staff - Very calm and well positioned location. Super helpful staff, especially Kasturi at checkin and checkout. Will be back soon!
- Alec (8/5): -
- David (9/5): Great hotel, staff and location - Room was lovely, staff are helpful and location was excellent! Nothing
- Dave-DaJester (10/5): Quirky and comfortable - Nice hotel, good location with lots of bars and restaurants nearby, nice park and museum next door, dog friendly. Staff were lovely, Francesca in particular, but also Victor and Kasturi.
- David (8/5): Nice hotel, near local amenities, nice grass park, lovely staff and dog friendly - Quirky and comfortable Dogs not allowed in the restaurant
- Peter (9/5): - Friendly helpful staff. Spacious clean comfortable room parking outside good restaurant food and cocktails Nothing

- Amanda (10/5): -
- Karl Damian (8/5): - Great location Poor night staff
- maxinesG3711PT (10/5): Excellent hotel. Great location … - Great location. Really comfortable rooms and great beds. Excellent service, especially from Victor on the front desk. We always stay at the Malmaison - perfect for the city and west end. Great transport links close by.
- Jet58192526504 (10/5): Superlative experience in East London oasis. - Stylish, comfortable hotel in an excellent location with great transport links. The staff were extraordinarily pleasant and efficient, particularly Blessing who turned out to have been extremely aptly named. She went out of her way to make me feel welcome and at home, to the extent of giving me and upgrade when she discovered it was my birthday. Room service was also excellent. I think I might have found my perfect bolthole for future London visits.
- Larisa (10/5): Очень хорошие впечатления, можно возвращаться сюда снова - Отличное месторасположение, прекрасный район, чудесный персонал. Великолепный выбор на завтраках
- Guest (9/5): -
- julia (9/5): Great for a short stay in the city area - Great location. Organised helpful reception
- j0annebanks (10/5): Nice hotel with options to visit London with nearby train and tube stations. - Kash the hotel receptionist was friendly and professional on arrival and gave us a room upgrade when we asked.
Our only surprise was that it wasn’t offered automatically as the hotel seemed very quiet.
The room was lovely along with the view and little extras.
We also had a bottle of champagne as part of our room deal and was allowed to swap that for a bottle of wine to enjoy with our meal.
The menu looked exciting to order from but sadly our first choice courses were not available like the crostini and more frustratingly the flat iron steak.
The waiter did allow my wife the New York
Steak with her protein meal as a replacement but the same offer was not made to me.
On the whole our stay was a nice one and we would recommend Malmaison as a lovely hotel with a decent location in order to visit London.
- Alison (9/5): Really nice hotel, very comfortable bed, pillows were amazing! Staff were very helpful - Check in was great, staff were very helpful and organised an early check in
- Aaron (4/5): - Breakfast and staff great
Bed always comfy Room wasnt serviced although we asked for it
Air con noisy
Room was extremely cold
Plugs sockets located in inconvenient places and some faulty
Some stains on tiles.
No full length mirror
Previously stayed at Birmingham and was much nicer and worth the money
- M1595JQchrise (10/5): Fabulous stay at a fabulous hotel - We’d stayed here before on more than one occasion and enjoyed our stay. This time we came for our wedding anniversary, the experience was first class and we were really well looked after. Thank you!
- GREG (10/5): Ace. - Just loved it. Great staff- lovely quiet location in a busy area. Absolute gem. Nada
- Tractarian (8/5): -
- Margaret (10/5): Great hotel in good location. Beds so comfy.... - Great location, tube station round the corner, super comfy bed, great staff and breakfast & dinner were delicious.
Have stayed many times in London....thisbis a true find. Will def return. Only thing I would have liked would be some hair conditioner in the bathroom......
- F5998POjaninec (10/5): Great stay - Lovely hotel, very easy to access the tube from. we walked for around 25 mins to shaftesbury ave. Victor was great at check in, very efficient and lovely to talk to.
- doubrao2026 (8/5): Will sure come again - Our check-in was smooth and quick, Adrian was attentive and helpful whenever assistance was needed and the room allocated to us was sweet and cozy, just what we needed after searching other places.
Breakfast was great but could be better and the check out was smooth but the lady seemed either tired or not interested in being there. Overall our stay was well spent.
- allaninblack (10/5): Fantastic stay 😃 - Rare experience for me paid for by friend's work (long story) but loved the hotel and all parts of the experience. Bedroom was awesome, breakfast enjoyable and staff super-friendly 🥰
- Allan (10/5): Outstanding 😍 - Outstanding hotel for a taste of contemporary luxury! Beautiful bedroom, lovely breakfast, fantastic staff....a real treat 🥰
- Michael (9/5): Very good location very good front of house nice room good facilities. We would return -
- Ornella (10/5): -
- Mike (7/5): - Rooms, ambience. Bar closed due to event
- D817FNrubys (8/5): Comfortable stay - I had a lovely stay at Malmaison for a work trip. The room was comfortable and clean, and Victor from the front desk was fantastic!
- Femke (9/5): -
- dru (7/5): Comfortable room in smart hotel in lovely London square. Great location for bars and restos. - Very large comfortable bed in largish room (a deluxe). Lovely fresh fruit at the breakfast buffet. Two complementary glasses of Prosecco as it was our anniversary. Lovely location. No kippers available for breakfast either morning! Would have liked a bath in a deluxe room.
- Damian (1/5): Room selling categories scam? - Once you get the correct room: Good location, clean rooms and efficient house keeping and a great shower. View across charterhouse square from some rooms is green and pleasant. Verging on fraudulent misselling of room categories: the room categories don’t match the room facilities (as hotel website itself lists them very clearly for each club deluxe). there seems to have been ‘creative room category inflation’. I booked a club deluxe. The first room (507) was smaller than a standard double and had no ‘deluxe’ features as Malmaison lists them and neither did the second and third alternative offers. The fourth matched. It shouldn’t require four rooms to get to what you booked and paid for. During the visit I saw this was a regular repeating problem for customers . It seems the owners might have arbitrarily ’upgraded’ standard rooms so they can sell them at a higher price of a club or club deluxe. BEWARE.
- Rebecca (8/5): Good value stay near Barbican - Good location. Very clean room and comfy bed.
- K (9/5): Great overnight stay with parking nearby - Comfortable and staff helpful There was a hole in the wall in the bathroom which felt cold when you were in the bathroom
- Reed (8/5): -
- Corrado (8/5): -
- kelly (10/5): -
- jo_ot103 (10/5): Helpful staff - Haven’t completed my stay but had an issue with my corporate booking through a platform and Blessing managed to sort it out! Blessing was very helpful and resolved the challenge in no time.
- York (6/5): Pleasant but sadly not as good as the last time we visited. - Location was good. Food was good. Bed was comfy. We stayed at this hotel a few years ago and enjoyed our visit.
I am sorry to say that this year it was not so good.
Our room felt very basic. It was obvious by the décor that at one time it had been set up with better facilities, but these had been removed. Now it was just a room with a bed. TV, tea making and some random books on the shelves.
No character. None of the nice touches that make a room feel special and welcoming.
Some of the staff were friendly and engaging but some were just 'doing their job' and made very little effort to make us feel welcome, valued guests of the hotel.
- calleyw2014 (10/5): Lovely stay - A short but sweet visit to this Malmaison, which we’ve stayed at many times previously. Kasturi checked us in and was delightful - very friendly and welcoming. Room was lovely and clean. Can’t beat the smell of the Malmaison shower gel :)
- Dietmar (8/5): -
- Amanda (9/5): Always a pleasure to stay at the Malmaison - Great location, cute funky rooms with comfortable beds, friendly front desk staff. Didn't order room service this time but it's been excellent food in the past. For standard category rooms, a few more toiletries in the bathroom (Qtips etc) and a small selection of snacks/mini bar would be nice.
- Charlotte (9/5): Ideal - Location and building architecture
Great shower and big bed Nothing
- Sightseer49124461286 (10/5): Great customer service - Decided to stay when seeing I Do by Dante or Die which was being performed in the hotel.
Great, friendly customer service especially by Kasturi. I've stayed here before in the larger rooms and like this visit, I've always found them clean, spacious and comfortable.
- Katherine (6/5): Very comfortable rooms but let down by lower customer experience compared to other hotels. - The rooms are great, with very comfortable beds and attentive house keeping. A nice selection of coffees and teas and biscuits, too. We went for a higher spec room, which as spacious. The location is also excellent. Sadly, the staff are inconsistent. The person that signed us in, was very friendly and welcoming. The staff in between and and exit, were consumed on the phone and inattentive, and unfriendly. People were waiting in que, and one guy before me, just left as the reception man didn't even look up. The reception is understaffed and the lobby is a bit soulless - not what we were expecting from the photos or from staying at other hotels in the chain.
- Alison (9/5): -
- Tomas (10/5): -
- Eberhard (9/5): - Lovely room, very comfortable bed and a nice restaurant. We did like the breakfast we had, but missed some spreads like cheese and ham etc.
The location was perfect for where we had to be the next day. The hotel is in a very quiet, historical square. N A
- Tritan (10/5): - I have come several times because I like everything there, the staff, the location, etc. This time, I checked in and checked out with Francesca. She was very nice and was very available to tell me everything about the hotel. I liked that she also spoke Italian and made me feel at home.
- Ivo (8/5): Historic yet modern in central London. - Comfortable and stylish boutique hotel blending historic charm with modern design in a quiet yet central part of London.
- Maria Theresa (9/5): -
- bentW8505BG (10/5): Short great stay - Francesa was fantastic in help for a last minute trip!
- katedL215XC (8/5): Decent stay, just missing the finishing touches - Great location, all round decent hotel. Beds were a bit hard but mostly ok. A couple of little details were missing which makes it 4 rather than 5 - all first world problems but when you travel a lot for business, you get used to the extras. No dressing gowns, no Nespresso machine in room, no conditioner or hand lotion in bathroom, evening room service menu is v limited. But overall it was a perfectly pleasant experience. Shout out to Cash on reception, genuinely lovely person!
