John (8/5): - I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and had a good meal in the hotel restaurant on one evening. The hotel was a bit dated and on one day both lifts were not working which could have been a big problem.
Fiona (8/5): - Hotel was excellent but it’s just a shame they take €100 euro for any potential expenses on the day you arrive but can’t refund it immediately on the day you leave. Was told it would take 5-7 working days. Next time I’ll be asking if they take cash and they can return the cash to me when I leave.

SHANE (6/5): - The location is very good. However, if you expect service from the reception/concierge, perhaps look somewhere else. I had to do 4 individual trips from my car up to my room with my bags and other personal belongings. Staff chose not to help and they do not have luggage trolleys. To add to this, only one elevator was working so the time taken between each trip to my and and hotel room. Not what i needed after a long 7 hour drive to get there.
Neil (8/5): - Loved the room. Great buffet breakfast. Station 2mins away. Some attractions nearby and I found all the central attractions walkable, though using the trains meant I could cram more in. If both the lifts were working I'd have probably given the hotel 5 stars.
Marc (8/5): - Not too far of a walk to the places we wanted to go. Very close to the subway, which was awesome. Has a restaurant and bar on site. Used the gym a couple of times and tried to use the sauna, but the last person left the door open so it wasn't up to temp and i didnt have enough time to wait. Overall happy with the stay and could see myself staying here again.

She promised to have it worked on and she did. Michelle,I really appreciate this and whenever I am in Berlin, I will stop by one day to thank you. Your have the best customer service traits and will urge you to keep it up.

Included mini fridge was so hot everything spoiled. Tried to adjust, no help. Phone in room didn’t work. Our luggage had been lost by airport and we kept having to call from the lobby. When the luggage was delivered, no one informed us.

Robert (8/5): - Overall we had a satisfactory experience, and I would recommend it, but there were a few issues. Their parking facility is offsite and really difficult to navigate...very tight. They were kind enough to offer an upgrade to a junior suite for half price, and the room was awesome...nice and roomy. However, the bathroom entry had a very bright and annoying light under the step which you couldn't turn off. The location is pretty good...most things are walkable.

Joshua (10/5): Perfection. - Overall our stay was outstanding. The staff were so accommodating and welcoming, giving recommendations to enjoy the city and with holding our luggage after check out for our later flight. You walk in to a pleasing smell and wide opening reception area. Our room was on the 4th floor, the lifts are easy and quick. The whole hotel was immaculately clean and the facilities available are easily enjoyed. In the room you have all the things you’ll need, good quality washing products and very powerful hair dryer. The drink making selection was vast and the fridge is a great size. Plenty of plug sockets around the room and lighting is good. The WiFi access is super quick, no sign up or password needed. The most impressive thing is the hotels location, if you are new to Berlin and want to explore, I highly recommend staying here as it is walking distance to some of the most popular museums and tourist visits as well as close to great restaurants and bars. Being so close to the S-Bahn is also a massive attraction. The only negative for me is the basic duvet and pillows which come with the room are thin and small. But you can request further pillows from the staff and any problems you may have, the staff will be sure to deal with them with speed and class. Overall the hotel is very high standard and you cannot go wrong with booking this.

Verified traveler (4/5): Could be better - Staff was helpful and friendly. Room and Building is old and really needs an update. Phone didn't work couldn't call reception to report clogged sink. Sink Drain clogged but staff got it to slowly flow again. Toilet clogged but I unclogged it myself because I don't want to walk down again. Wanted to use the tub for a bath but decided not to since the water is yellow and had black bits coming out. Coffee capsule machine was dirty even after flushing it 3 times. Breakfast was good.

Graham (8/5): 3 night city break - Stayed three nights for a city break. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel room was serviced daily. The room had a small fridge and tea and coffee facilities, although they only supplied powdered milk, this wasn't a problem as we bought some milk and kept it in the fridge. The position was perfect for sightseeing and using public transport was easy. I only reduced the score for comfort as we needed more pillows, but the hotel offers a range with different fillings, so it wasn't really a problem. The only other thing I could mention is to have usb charging points in the room. I would certainly recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Verified traveler (6/5): Overpriced for what it is - Hotel wasn't necessarily in the best place. Close a very poignant museum about The Wall but took a long time to go wandering to other touristy places. The room was small for the price paid. In the room the hotel seemed to have followed the trend of using glass to partition the bathroom and the room; not the best choice. (Also the shower wasn't great-it didn't stay up high so you had to crouch to wash your hair and the hot water seemed to run out in the morning.) I'd recommend looking around for other hotels that are less expensive and you'll not feel overcharged as I did here.
Holly (6/5): Okay stay for the price - We stayed for 4 nights in December 2023, and were returning guests from 2017. The overall experience was okay, but the hotel is feeling a bit worn. For example, there was a ripped hole in our bed sheet, the bathroom sink didn’t drain properly, the shower head was very limescaley, and the glass in the lift mirror was smashed. Upon arrival, we didn’t have a kettle in our room, we asked for one, and was told it would be dropped off, and it wasn't. We then asked again, and after about an hour it was dropped off. We also didn’t have milk/creamer in the room, and we asked for some and was given nespresso coffee pods instead (we didn’t even have a coffee machine in the room!). They charged us wrong at the bar one night, and came back asking for the additional money. We also didn’t find the bed very comfortable and were provided with very thin pillows. It just all felt a bit meh. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was nice. For the price, it is a good option in Berlin but I’m not sure we would stay again unfortunately.

Ross (8/5): Overall nice, needs some improvement to service. - Great setting in a tastefully renovated building that was once the Siemens HQ. Delicious breakfast, comfortable room. I’d be interested to know if the toilet flushes with rainwater? It was brown and made the room smell like a stagnant pond. The supplied pillows were inadequate but others are available on request. Why a pillow is a request item I don’t know. It’d be like supplying only face towels and leaving a card to say full size towels available on request! Staff not at all welcoming on arrival BUT those on the desk at checkout were delightful.

Rosemarie (10/5): - Overall it was a great stay. Most everyone was pretty nice and it was very clean. I am a woman and I was traveling by myself, and I felt very safe. I wish the room service menu was more like the restaurant menu, but other than that, it was pretty good.
Moukhtar (2/5): - The room I got was filthy. Carpet smelled terrible, carpet stains everywhere, stains on the chairs, black mold in the bathroom…. And many more. I would suggest you look for a different property. I brought the issues up to the hotel reception and their answer was that they are very aware of the condition and the images that i showed them and that there is nothing they can do about it.
Nicole (6/5): - I would say this is more of a 3 star than a 4 star hotel. Bathrooms in need of a renovation. Room was fine. Stains on carpet and curtains weren’t nice. The safe in Our room didn’t work and they didn’t do anything about that except offer us to keep our stuff in the communal safe located where the staff keep there things. That didn’t seem safe to us. Good location if you’re ok with taking transportation to get to the main sights. Bed was comfortable.
Gabriella (8/5): Comfortable and Near Attractions - Stay was lovely. Said two twins or double and was two twins which made things a bit uncomfortable, but room itself had everything we needed. It's central to a lot of the more historical attractions which is a plus if that's the aim of your trip. Loved that there was a soaking tub here. Wish the sauna was open earlier/later since our short stay meant didn't allow to take advantage. Would've liked a menu in the room, but the staff themselves were helpful! Near public transport too.

Shams (2/5): - Could you imagine coming home from a brutally hot day from the city looking to relax in your 4.5 star luxury hotel and you come in and it’s hotter inside your room than outside? After numerous complaints they moved us to another room however that room despite being bigger was even hotter. Since day 1 all I heard was I’m sorry we are going to get an technician to fix it and nothing was done. Then after speaking to multiple residents I was able to find out that they’re AC was working just fine and it was actually too cold in their room. Now I really hope this wasn’t the case but it felt like a factor of racism as we are all Indian Americans. I will be speaking to the manager as well and would appreciate it if Expedia can help accommodate us for this really bad experience.

I loved how there was a bus station and an underground station on the same street of the hotel (around 2 minutes walk or so) making transportation to and from the hotel very very easy.
Dale (8/5): Mövenpick was very, very good. - Service was excellent. I forwent a clean of my hotel room for a €5 voucher which I didn’t get even after chasing it on the phone with reception. Don’t know what happened there. That said every member of the reception and especially the lady manager was outstanding. Amazing staff and top location.

aynur (8/5): - Lovely hotel in a central but quite location next to Anhalter S-bahn station. Walkable distance to Brandenburg Tor, Berlin Wall topography memorial, Checkpoint Charlie. For shoppers - bus 29 takes you strait to Kurfürstendamm. Our room was basic but clean and comfy (but as stated in other reviews- pillows are very flat and small). Breakfast was great and stuff is very polite and friendly.
Dee Dee (8/5): - I loved the hotel. The only complaint was that I was told that checkin was at 3 pm and when I went back at that time, the room was not ready. Having flown in from the US, and being awake for over 24 hours, I was exhausted.
Sarah (4/5): Tired hotel with no redeeming features - You’re likely to find that you could get far more for your money elsewhere. It’s not a four star hotel. Not at all. The room needs a face lift, I had a kettle that leaked, a phone that didn’t work, a tv with no sound. They gave me only 1 towel and when I asked for an iron, it was 100 years old, burnt. Not even a little milk for tea in the warm fridge.

Billy (10/5): - I was recently in Berlin for two weeks and stayed at the Movenpick Hotel near Potsdamerplatz. The hotel itself is right off of Anhalter S‐Bahn station. The front desk team were phenomenal, especially a gentleman called Takimann (I know I just butchered his name - please forgive me for doing it). There wasn't anything we asked for without them getting it in two or three mins. Kudos to the Movenpick management for finding such amazing individuals. The room was also nice, but needs a bit of updating, especially the shower. The shower head didn't remain in place and kept sliding down the pole. There were also a couple of towel hangers that fell off (before we got there). Overall, if I'm ever back in Berlin, Movenpick will be my first choice of hotel to stay at.

I didnt have breakfast on the hotel so I cannot comment on that. However on check in it was explained how to book for breakfast. Very clear instructions on arrival.

Not one day out of 4 where I did not have to contact t reception about a item not being left in the room, ie tea and coffee, shampoo, face cloths. In addiction, for a hotel of this standard, it is not acceptable to return after a hard day pounding the streets of Berlin at 4pm to find your room not being cleaned, and having to wait outside in a communal area whilst it was cleaned.

Lovely hotel, very clean and modern. Only really grumbles are around one of lights not working in the room which meant we couldn’t see inside the wardrobe easily. This was reported when we arrived but was not fixed during our 3 night stay. Also pillows were not too our liking (very thin and only one each ) but appreciated this may be our preference but unusual to only get two pillows in one room. Would consider staying here again though as lovely hotel and staff were friendly.

The Restaurant area is especially attractive and the Breakfast buffet is very extensive. Transport links are excellent whether by S-Bahn, U-Bahn or Bus
