- Mark (10/5): Peaceful luxury, excellent staff and a superb Bangkok base - We loved our stay at COMO Metropolitan Bangkok. The hotel felt calm, luxurious and peaceful, with friendly, competent staff and a great location for getting around Bangkok. Our Courtyard Suite was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel was a lovely retreat after busy days in the city. We did not dine at Nahm, but enjoyed breakfast at the hotel and poolside snacks, both of which were very good. The spa facial treatment was also very nice. A special mention goes to the concierge team, who arranged a fantastic private guided day trip to Maeklong Railway Market and the old and new weekend floating markets, including a dedicated van and private longtail boat. Overall, COMO was peaceful, well run, comfortable and beautifully suited to our Bangkok stay. We would happily return.

I have just checked out of COMO Metropolitan Bangkok after my fourth visit over the past two months, and I truly consider it my heartfelt base whenever I return to Bangkok. The high standards remain consistently the same, as I’ve shared in previous reviews. The incredible hospitality continues to be one of COMO’s strongest and most heartfelt qualities, and it is felt throughout the entire property. From the spa facilities and attentive pool attendants, to the spotless rooms, to the soothing interior design of the lobby—where the concierge, bellmen, and the amazing, kind staff behind the counters are always so gracious—the atmosphere seems to draw you in, whether you are arriving after traveling from somewhere else or simply returning from an outing in Bangkok. A special mention also goes to the wonderful breakfast crew, who make each morning feel warm and welcoming, along with a truly “made in heaven” breakfast spread that is beautifully presented and deeply enjoyed. There is a calm, refined comfort here that makes each stay feel familiar, elegant, and deeply appreciated. I truly look forward to my next visit in just one week, before returning home to lovely Santa Barbara.

The bathroom is bigger than my student flat! Staff were amazing with nothing being too much trouble. Pool is brilliant and staff very attentive. The only downside for me was we didn’t know they had a bar and never found it! The pool was great for those on business or couples but the children were asked not to splash and keep quiet so for this reason I wouldn’t return as a family. But as a couple, I’d be straight back. My second favorite hotel in the world (topped only by (Hotel) The Mercer in NYC, and that's truly as high as the stakes go!). Incredibly friendly staff; spacious, beautiful, very chill environment throughout; calm, inviting, stylish yet up-to-date, recently renovated (large!) rooms; and a spa that can compete with the world's top. If it's a short visit in Bangkok, I barely leave the hotel and just lap in the luxury. A hidden gem! 💎

- hipeejay2014 (10/5): Love the Como Metropolitan! - This hotel has been a longtime favourite. First stayed here in 2004 and have returned many times over the years. It's an oasis of calm in the big city and everything about it feels soothing and easy. Staff are all fantastic. They're friendly and fun and also seem to be able to anticipate your needs before you even ask. Really love the recent refurb of the rooms. We were very grateful to be upgraded to a Metropolitan room. Breakfast was excellent and the large pool is an extra reason why you'll be unhappy to check out. Highly recommended!

Very nice and beautiful hotel, very convenient location, we always walked to MRT to catch the train during rush hours to avoid traffic. The staff there is very friendly especially the doorman who was always there to open the door for us. We couldn’t use the pool as the water was a bit too cold and we wish the pool was heated pool, so we could enjoy sometimes.

It lives up to all the high standards of Como - in particular the staff are all wonderful; so attentive and helpful. Thank you Pool, considering you are in the middle of Bangkok is extraordinary! Does not get a lot of sun so on cooler mornings and evenings it is quite chilly; but in hotter weather I’m sure a much a needed relief. Spa all up to usual Como standards. Excellent treatments. We had a room with an outside terrace - slightly strange as completely surrounded and no views or much light - but again I guess are in the middle of Bangkok so space at a premium. It was a very generously sized room Only real negative was only place to eat was the Michelin starred Nahm (which was excellent) but would have been nice to have an informal place too. Breakfast, which was excellent, is in a slightly sad internal space. Hence why knocked off one star. Lovely touch as we had an early departure was a breakfast box! Much appreciated in the airport

The level of details from service staff and cleaning staff is out of this world. Everything feels dustless and so clean. The breakfast has limited variety and they recently changed policy so be careful when you book if your rate is with one breakfast or two breakfast. I wasn’t aware that my booking only allows for one breakfast while I have brought a guest. After I presented the situation to the front desk, she quickly said she will handle it and wave the additional charge as an exception. Everything is so effortless. Their proactive smooth operation made my stay pleasant. Oh did I mention the shower water pressure is AMAZING! They did some renovation so price has been going up in the past few years. It could be a sticker shock for some as increase from a few years back is pretty substantial. If you are looking for an peaceful oasis in the center of hustle and bustle Silom and sathorn are, this is definitely the comfy hotel to stay, with all the basic luxury amenities without fuzz that are not important

Great location - lots of options within walking distance for food, shopping, browsing, and close to Metro (10 min or so), and SkyTrain (15 min or so). Will definitely stay again.

Great breakfast selection . We were offered massages . It was excellent . We had an amazing stay , the pool was beautiful. I didn’t like the breakfast area , it’s not very welcoming , and the rooms were too blank and impersonal. Not my taste . The rest was great . Quality of the bed , the bed sheets & towel was excellent.
- oakman1 (10/5): Amazing hotel ! - Quick 2 night stay, hotel was under refurbishment so not all areas were accessible. We were given one of the new rooms, great size and decor. Superb bathroom, which was huge. Service was incredible, very proactive and friendly, every team member gave you their full attention. We never opened a door or pushed the lift button when we were there, exceptional customer service from everyone. Would highly recommend a stay here, great location too.

- Patrick (10/5): - Firstly, I have been a longtime fan of the Como Metro and have continued to return again and again. This was my 5th visit this year, having just checked out this morning. They are currently completing a renovation that had little impact at all on my visit. My room like so many others was full completed offering up an entire new look. How would one describe the new Metro look. Fresh, a lighter feel to each room with fresh white metro-white colors, decorated with new refreshing contemporary furnishing. What’s also amazing, they have maintained the Metro vibe, easy, simple and keeping their signature “fragrance” if you’ve been a guest before “you know.” Super worthy of mentioning. The staff who does the hiring has an amazing knack for hiring a “Team” of very committed & cheerful employees. Each are a delight to be at your calling for exceptional hospitality. They are always there - to make your visit above the top. I will be returning in 5 days! Thank you staff for making my visit so special! Khun Patrick
- P3934XHchristinet (10/5): It was purely delightful - i checked in on the 1st of september 2025 . To my most sincere delight , although the hotel is still under partial renovation , the newly renovated room in which i have stayed in was very comfortable spacious and clean . The staff from front desk to concierge to housekeeping were all very warm and friendly and super helpful. And the Nahm restaurant in the hotel is oh my goodness yummm ❤️
- IreneEng (10/5): the swimming pool - Will return for service and the swimming pool. The slim male staff by the pool, all dressed in white, gives off a colonial feel. This is one of the better hotels we stayed in Thailand. Hardly seeing any other guests, even during breakfast. The location is great, having nahm on site, and Celadon next door. It's also close to Central Park. The swimming pool is large enough for me to do laps - thank you!!! To my surprise, I found Xi Jinping on the bookshelf by the pool entrance.

Lovely, attentive staff, excellent pool and fitness. - The breakfast buffet is delightful, with attentive staff to seat you, and a lovely offering of fruit, fruit juice, pastries, made-to-order breakfast dishes, and other delicious libations. Regarding the room: I did notice quite a bit of ants in my room. A welcome sweet treat was offered, and within a couple hours there were ants swarming over it. Inspects are to be expected, but there were enough to distract from the comfort of the lodging.

Although it's in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city, the property remains calm and serene. Breakfast was good with plenty of (healthy) options, rooms are spacious, pool and spa are welcome places to chill and relax after a day of sightseeing. But what really makes the hotel are the employees and their wonderful hospitality and kindness.

- KevinT616 (10/5): Best for value - We have stayed at the Como Metropolitan for 3 years in a row now, their high standard of staffs and food did not change at all, every time we stay, the service and quality of food have remained such high standard. From the moment you step inside the hotel, all the staffs make you feel so welcome, everyone has such a friendly smile and attitude. Throughout our stay of 5 nights, every single staff greets you with warmth and smile, from the house keeping staffs in the hallway, to front desk staffs, pool, spa area, entrance, literally anywhere you go, staffs are making you feel so welcome. The quality of the breakfast was superb, it might not be the biggest buffer breakfast in Bangkok but the quality was very high, on top of that, the whole entire team at breakfast was impressive and impeccable, very attentive, very engaging, they remember your preferences of tea or coffee, even some smaller details. Having said that, the hotel does need a bit of TLC in their rooms and other areas, that’s why I said this hotel is great for the value. I think a good upgrade of the interiors will make this hotel 10/10. Look forward to coming back next year already

My husband and I decided to come to Bangkok from HK for a Green Day concert and came to Bangkok for a Wednesday-Saturday stay. I've stayed at a Como before, and loved it, so thought we would try the Bangkok hotel. From start to finish it was lovely. The staff is so so friendly and welcoming, there was even a cat, Tiger to welcome us when we arrived. We were upgraded to a larger king room and loved it. There was plenty of room for both of us to work from the room. The bed was comfy and large, and loved the 2X cleaning and turn down service. I can also say the shower was the best shower I've ever experienced in a hotel. I felt like I was in a spa, and loved it. Great breakfast as well, def worth booking the room with breakfast and there are so many great options of both healthy and western/Asian. The pool was cold, but lovely as we had lunch by the pool. All in all I would absolutely stay at the Como again!

- Zihan (5/5): Disappointed - The only thing I really liked about my stay was the hotel greeter. I can’t remember his name, but he’s a tall, skinny guy with glasses. He was the only greeter I’ve encountered who was truly passionate and made a real impression. • The room needs some service and renovation; the floor and bed frame show noticeable wear and tear. • The room is spacious, but not very clean when you look at the details. • The staff lacks enthusiasm and doesn’t seem engaged. They all keep their heads down and avoid eye contact with guests, except for the greeter I mentioned earlier. • The location is a bit confusing and inconvenient, especially if you’re planning to walk or use the subway. • There’s no view to speak of.

We felt we were able to walk to a couple of places and that it was easy to get to public transportation. The hotel had a beautiful pool and we loved that it was quiet even though you were in the city. Rooms were super spacious, clean and luxurious. The spa seemed very nice even though we did not use it (but did love their spa bathroom containing a plunge pool and sauna). We loved that the restaurant, Nahm, was attached to the hotel as well! Very friendly staff and the breakfast was delicious!

- 272ianm (8/5): Top business hotel, but tourists should look elsewhere IMHO - This is a top-line business hotel. Very nice, great service, huge rooms but not much atmosphere. If you are going to Bangkok as a tourist I would recommend finding a hotel much closer to the Palace, the river and all the things you are actually going to want to see. The Como isn't really very convenient. There is a nice old street a few blocks away with a real local market and some fun restaurants and bars--but that's it. There is a giant mall not too far, but I'm not sure who goes travelling to see malls. None of the museums or anything else are close.

Staff was lovely and very helpful. A quiet oasis in a very busy, crowded city.

The doorman broke the retractable rolling handle of our suitcase, either when He took it out of the back of the taxi (Necessitating the purchase of a replacement) or by using it to lift the case up the steps, instead of using the solid handle near by.... - WorldWideTravel88 (4/5): Mediocre and Overpriced - Of the four independent hotels in Bangkok bookable on Mr & Mrs Smith, this is my least favorite. This hotel does not have anything particular awful so a rating of 2/5 might sound harsh at first, but for the price paid it's simply not good value so I cannot give them 3/5 which is supposed to mean "average". At check-in they told me I received an upgrade, but looking at room types, I don't think so. It was a corner room so perhaps more desirable than others but nonetheless it's still an entry level room. The window was small to begin with (not floor to ceiling), and there was a wall right in front blocking about 75% of the area so the room was dark for obvious reasons. Except for the bathroom which was quite nice, construction quality was shoddy and mildly aging, comparable to Four Points or Novotel level, yet this hotel thinks of itself as 5-stars. Sorry, but no. Breakfast was decent in terms of food and I liked my noodle dish. But the restaurant was dark for the same reason as the room, it had low ceilings, crammed tables, and very loud. I am a bit surprised Como is part of MMS to be honest. The other independents all have a special edge to them and I could see why they stood out and grabbed MMS attention. But this one is not cheap and does not have glaring strong points. Not even location could be considered a positive. Consequently I am unlikely to return and would not recommend it.
- Eleanor (10/5): Beautiful urban oasis - We had an amazing experience! The food was excellent and high quality and very clean and healthy. The pool is huge and we mostly had it to ourselves, not to mention the steam room and changing facilities were top notch. The room was spacious and comfortable and modern. Location was great- close to metro and easy to get around, but also removed from the chaos of super touristy areas. We enjoyed going to the rooftop bar of huge Banyan Tree next door and then walking back to our lovely quiet hotel. Also the cat who hangs outside the front entrance named Tiger was my fave part.

The grounds are nice and there are good restaurants within walking distance. The breakfasts are in need of improvement. Limited buffet but that’s fine and effective. The wait staff are not all that attentive and could use better training except for a middle-aged/older gentlemen present who was working the days before Thanksgiving. I didn’t get his name. Food ordered off the breakfast menu takes too long even when they are not busy. More often than not it come out cold or near cold which is off-putting. Returning in the evening, the front desk staff barely looked up and acknowledged us. Overall decent experience but I wouldn’t necessarily return without exploring other options.
