Alquilamos el apartamento de 2 habitaciones, Salon con sofá cama, cocina y cuarto de baño. Muy amplio y cómodo. El personal super amable y nos ayudaron cuando lo necesitamos El apartamento, solo dos quejas: no hay lavadora y secadora, la echamos en falta y un único baño. El servicio de limpieza solo cada 2 dias. Solo tiene un ascensor para todo el hotel y esto retrasaba nuestras salidas.

The only issue we had was the elevator was broken down. At the end of a long day walking through the city it was really tough walking up to the 8th floor. I read other reviews where people had the same issue and I decided to risk it. I will not to that again, even for this spacious room.

Le matelas du canapé lit pourrait être un peu plus épais, avoir une planche à découper ( au moins pour une pizza !), le bruit des travaux à côté, le petit déjeuner manquant de variété même s'il fait le job pour nous caler.

- Mark (9/5): 5 great days in a hotel just right for us in a 24/7 city! - If you are after a hotel within easy walking distance of the main attractions, subway stations and various food outlets then this is your place. The apartments are great for a family due to the amount of space you get, privacy and a safe neighbourhood. The breakfast is free and enough to set you up for the day. We went in the breakfast room at various times and always got a table straight away. There are some hot choices as well as fruit, cereal, bagels and pastries etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. The lift is not huge but we had no problems and 8/10 times the only ones in it. The stairs are fine if you are on the lower floors. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants convenience, space, flexibility and a relaxed environment. In the 2nd bedroom either thicker curtains or black out blinds would be an improvement. You do get some street sounds but it is New York! Booking early and asking for a rear room could alleviate this.

The location was good; near the subway and grand central station (and LIRR/airtrain from JFK). The staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast included a couple of options to vary if you want. The all day coffee and water is a big plus! There is some noise, but no more than normal in a busy city. The appartment was a bit outdated and it would be nice if there were more kitchen supplies such as cuttlery. We would definitely stay here again.

- Meri Ann (9/5): - The main reason I booked this hotel was the size of the rooms. I was with 5 adults and we had plenty of room to sleep and visit. It was exactly what I hoped for. Also, the beds were very comfortable. We were close to many subway lines and were able to get around the city easily. The rooms were warm at night and we had to open the windows to cool things off. Once the windows were open, we got the noise of the city which was unfortunate.

Third time at this property but first since ownership change. Improved toiletries, comfortable beds and bedding, high quality towels, generous welcome basket of snacks. Shades are needed, not just privacy curtains in bedrooms. It was light enough to read at night. Also, waffles are great but only had sugar free syrup so we skipped. These small details would make a big difference.

- MichZem (2/5): Disappointed but great location - The location. Very central We had a total water shortcut for two days ( about 18 hours and another 3 hours, between Christmas and new year eve ) . No shower, no toilet, only few mineral water bottles... The staff didn't show any great concern about it and it was very (VERY) frustrating Rooms and lobby were too hot. They argued they can't adjust the temperature. Windows in our rooms were kind of broken and we couldn't easily close and open them for adjusting the temperature . Breakfast was really not our taste ( we prefer continental breakfast). But also, the cafe machine was partially broken and chocolate drink was missing most of our stay .

It’s doesn’t have a large reception with fancy furnishings etc but what it does have is great value with large rooms with ample sitting room and kitchens. They are basically converted apartments so for space you can’t beat how much room you get! Staff is friendly. Only one elevator so keep that in mind if you’re in a hurry and you are using it during the morning rush etc.

The breakfast was actually really good for a hotel breakfast. The elevator is a little busy in the mornings since there’s only one elevator. I will stay there again!

The dining room table was a gathering spot for breakfast brought up from breakfast bar. If you are ever in NYC for a blizzard, The Bayard Hotel is the place to spend it!

The hotel is beautiful, I love the size, only 10 floors makes it feel like an apartment building. The staff at the front (Marilyn? I think! You were awesome!) Is always so friendly and helpful. There is always someone there. I cannot get over the rooms. It was beautiful, comfortable, it was like my house. It was a whole apartment!!!!! I could absolutely live there. There was so much space. The penthouse has the best terrace. And you cannot beat the full kitchen. I cooked steak and asparagus and baked potatoes IN MY HOTEL ROOM PEOPLE! I love it there, I hated to leave, and I will definitely be back!

There was some weird gushing water sounds through the walls at night in the master bedroom, but overall the suite was clean, spacious and perfect for what we needed. It was close to broadway for the show we were seeing, the breakfast served our needs, and the welcome snacks were such a nice touch. I’d definitely go again with friends or family.

- G9752UFstaceyk (2/5): No water, poor customer service, please review other complaints of water issues prior to booking. - Writing this review after several attempts to communicate with management and there being no resolution. Beware of frequent water outage issues at the property. We had no water, therefore no toilets/showers/ability to wash dishes in the period leading up to a 24 hour trip home. We were encouraged to wait for management to contact us post check out for refund after having paid a very large nightly cost for a room with no water. We did not hear from management and since then, they have sent countless emails explaining it’s not their fault and that credit card details aren’t available for refunds to be processed due to their rebranding from best western. The list of reasons why they cannot assist further and offered a credit is exhausting and very poor customer service. They rely on you checking out and leaving the country and dropping the complaint. Note that in June and August there were other water issues from reviews. Three incidents in 6 months. Booking here is a risk as there appears to be ongoing issues - I directly quote their engineer that said it happens often. I have no further time to discuss this with the management team, they obviously have no interest in providing reimbursement otherwise they would pick up the phone and ask for my credit card details. Please also be aware that we stayed on the 6th floor and the ground window opens up from the bottom with no safety railing. If a young child opened this, they would basically drop 6 floors.

Although I provided proper identification I still did not receive the level of customer service I expected. The suite I reserved was a two bedroom that would accommodate 6 people and it was beautiful. The space was clean.

It was freezing in New York when we were there and the bedrooms were cold, the wind was blowing in through gaps in the windows. It was fine when you got into bed and under covers with a sweater on.

Maintenance came to our room but was unable to get the heat to turn off. We were not offered another room. We had to walk thru the city at 11:00pm with our luggage and 2 children to find another room. And now there is a problem getting out money refunded.

The staff was very polite and friendly with every interaction we had. The rooms were clean and noise level was low. Complimentary breakfast, and snacks & toiletries in the room. Couldn’t hear traffic or sound from other rooms. Can’t beat the price. It’s a great value for what you’re getting in the city! Our only complaint would be that we were not able to control the room temperature. There were no thermostats in the rooms. The bedrooms were very hot at night. We opened the windows a bit but some AC would have been nice. But will we be back? Yes!

- Amanda BW (7/5): Fabulous location but could use some upgrades - Excellent location to Rockefeller Plaza, Central Park, 5th Ave and also walked to Times Square and the ESB. Room itself was very good size, especially main bedroom. Beds were very comfortable and TVs in each room was good. Well insulated so easy to stay warm. Room servicing every second day was excellent. 2 x heaters were broken on arrival so had to leave one turned off and 1 permanently on and weren't fixed during our stay. Kitchen was nice but very few utensils, cooking accessories so limited in what we cook prepare. Elevator was slow and very small so moving between 8th floor and lobby was tedious in peak times. Reception area in Lobby also tight when new guests checking in and other going out for the day. Breakfast was adequate but was the same every day, also coffee machine was always breaking. Bistro area was also very cramped and tables often unavailable so had to take food up to our room to eat. Stayed 9 nights and, on 2nd last day, water went out for whole building so no showers possible on last night OR last morning and received little info and no options so had to leave for 24 hours of travel with no showers.

Il correspond parfaitement au descriptif et les chambres sont très spacieuses avec une literie de qualité. L'accueil est incroyablement friendly avec une mention particulière pour Mariella, très attentionnée et tellement souriante. La situation géographique est idéale dans le East Midtown avec le métro à deux rues. En bref, un hôtel que je recommande vivement. La vaisselle et les accessoires de cuisine en nombre limités. Certaines fenêtres et les stores difficiles à manœuvrer.

Extremadamente cómodo, tiene un cuarto espacioso con cama doble, un living comedor con un sillón cama cómodo. Baño y cocina equipada, con microondas, heladera y demás. Desayuno incluido en el precio, de muy buena calidad. Hay una máquina que dispensa café de todo tipo y chocolate caliente que puedes usarlo siempre que quieras. El personal es muy amable. Algunos que hablan en español. Tiene la facilidad de que podes dejar las maletas antes de entrar y luego al salir . Sin lugar a dudas lo recomiendo y volvería sin dudarlo

Rooms were very hot, heating is old so couldn’t really be adjusted despite maintenance trying. Radiator in 2nd bedroom kept hissing. Kept window open in lounge to keep things cooler. Both outside windows of the bedrooms didn’t shut properly so let quite a lot of noise in.
