• 5Tish (10/5): Great affordable choice for a night or two - we stayed for one night before checking in at a Universal Hotel. I thought everything was great. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early which was so convenient. Went to the parks for the afternoon and were able to catch the free shuttle back. Shuttle got very full and if you don't get on it's about a two hour wait for another one. Room was fine. Bed was comfortable, pillows not great.
• Tubbs (7/5): Awesome Check Out Time, OK Experience! - The pillows on the bed were super comfortable. Felt like a cloud. The location was in a good spot, there were lots of nearby restaurants and plazas for shopping. It kind of sat back from the highway so traffic noise was not an issue. I also liked the fact that check out was at 12 pm. It gave me and my family time to sleep in and get dressed without rushing. And the shower water got extremely hot and shot out really hard which was a plus. When I first arrived to check in, the front desk associate Jessica was snobby. I’m not the type of person to really care much about attitudes unless it involves my money. For the amount of money I spent, Jessica acted like she didn’t want to be there. Her responses and tone more harsh than kind, were quick, and kind of snappified. If it wasn’t for my daughter watching me, I would have asked her what her problem was. Next, the free shuttle to Universal was cool at pickup. But when it was time to leave, the hotel got the time for pickup wrong. We waited almost 2 1/2 hours for a shuttle to come pick us up. Horrible! I called the hotel, they told us to ask associates at Universal. They were confused and the drivers of other shuttles kept telling us our hotel wasn’t in their route. And third, the stares were too much for me. I didn’t see many African Americans or Haitians at the time of our stay and I felt like my family and I were being stared at, every where we went on the property. Everybody was watching us and ppl were turning to stare as if they had never seen a black person before. Due to so many cultures in FL, this has never happened to us at a hotel before. This was a first, especially in FL, where heads were turning and staring.

• Nash3333 (10/5): Hidden Gem - This is my go to spot if I'm ever in the area. I will even stay here, even if my next days drive is longer. Brandy and the Tiki Bar are amazing.
• GypsySS (10/5): No resort/parking fees here! - After a day at Sea World we chose to stay here. I think it's a "Universal Studios" affiliated hotel, but wasn't a far drive from Sea World. We parked our car for free. We had two bikes locked onto the back and there were no issues. The hotel is located in a "neighborhood" of just hotels. The pool/hot tub area was great and we enjoyed relaxing there after a day at the theme park. There was a cute little Tiki Bar serving food and drinks, we didn't partake, but it was nice that it was an option. The lobby was spacious. The lobby and our room seemed all brand new, not sure if it's a new build or a well-done renovation. We got a king bed room. Loved the closet set-up and had all your expected room amenities (micro/Keurig/fridge). They also had a full length mirror, yay. I did like the fragrance of their soap/lotion/etc in the bathroom. We were on the 5th level and enjoyed the views. Being in Florida, I'm always most concerned about a room being properly cooled for a good night's sleep, A/C worked well. The bed was a little on the stiff side for me, but that's a personal thing, looked like a new mattress. After hanging by the pool we walked to a nearby restaurant for dinner. There are many restaurants a walk-able distance away. When we returned from dinner we stopped in their little on property, "convenience shop," and picked up a beer. The shop is self-check-out and had snacks, drinks and sunscreen/toiletries, etc. When we booked the room directly with the hotel, we chose the option to have breakfast included. Breakfast is not included automatically. The breakfast costs less to choose the option to pay for it when booking the room than to get it the day of. That said, the breakfast was meh. There is a Denny's nearby for another option. I appreciated the convenience of the breakfast right there, it just wasn't very good. All staff we encountered upon check-in, check-out and at breakfast was friendly. For the price, the place is very solid.

• Holidays224 (10/5): AMAZING hotel and staff!! - We always stay at this hotel and it never fails to disappoint. The staff welcome us back like family which is lovely. The hotel is so well equipped with a restaurant and lovely Tiki bar where you can sit in the evening with a drink by the fire pit in comfy chairs. The rooms are very modern with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and safe with plenty of storage. The pool area is stunning and is always kept spotless and there are plenty of sun loungers and tables and chairs and cabannas if you wish to sit in the shade. The hotel is perfectly situated for the Universal parks and has a courtesy bus every day. You really can't beat this hotel, it really is a winner on every level. The one thing that stands out though is the amazing staff, they are all dedicated and so helpful and friendly and are a credit to the hotel. We will be back again as soon as we can. Thoroughly recommended!

• southdakota2explore (10/5): Great Stay - I was very impressed with the Hilton Garden Hotel. My daughter and I stayed for 2 nights. Damian (front desk ) was very professional and helpful when we checked in. We had 2 meals at the hotel. The food was wonderful! Phil was the bartender and took our order both nights. Phil was attentive to us and all the customers. I was impressed with all the staff members.

• mrswolverine (10/5): Hidden Gem. - Hilton Garden Inn Orlando North is truly a hidden gem. We came for a meeting, but our group split—half attended the meeting while the other half enjoyed the nearby theme parks—and it worked out perfectly for everyone. From the moment you walk in (and even when you walk out), the staff consistently acknowledge you, which makes a big difference. Everyone we encountered was warm and welcoming. I want to personally recognize Chris, Jennifer, Darian, and Ms. Calista—along with others whose names I didn’t catch—because they all contributed to such a great experience. The breakfast buffet team was outstanding. They kept our drinks filled and were always ready to help in any way they could. Housekeeping was kind and attentive as well. We did have to call maintenance for a clogged toilet, and I’m not exaggerating when I say he was there within three minutes—top-notch response time. That level of service really stood out. On our checkout day, we even noticed a maintenance worker outside painting the curb yellow. We struck up a conversation while waiting for our rideshare, and it just reinforced how much pride the team takes in maintaining the property. What stood out the most is how much the staff genuinely seems to care—and that’s something you don’t always find. I would absolutely stay here again.

• W275AQnathanl (10/5): Great location and great property - We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting the Arnold Palmer Invitational golf tournament, because shuttle parking is at Universal, and it was very convenient! All the staff we interacted with were nice and helpful. The property is newly renovated and it shows. Everything looks great, clean and welcoming lobby, clean and spacious rooms. Very quiet in rooms and location. Breakfast is good, great bacon, although it’s not included ($16 extra for buffet or off the menu items available). Would definitely recommend for those looking to visit Universal or surrounding attractions. Free parking is a bonus!

• 683puimanl (4/5): Try to ask for a room facing the back it'll be quieter - The location is okay. Hotel provides shuttle bus to Universal, but it stops at other 2 hotels before going to the park. My room faced the pool and Tiki bar, could hear the noise till very late midnight. Rooms facing the backside parking lot might be quieter. Staff was not very friendly. Probably because I asked to switch room after checking in to get away from large fan noise. Then I figured I won't bother to ask a second time. This is not the level of service I expect from Hilton hotels.

The beds felt like sleeping on the sidewalk. Incredibly uncomfortable. I didnt have a comfortable night sleep either nights that I stayed there.

• guillet (7/5): GREAT place for a QUICK STAY, and BEST hotel on that American Way horseshoe strip. - Rooms are newly renovated, clean. Beds are comfortable but firm (I like a softer bed). Extra large pillows, large TV, and all the necessary equipment safe, microwave, mini fridge, single Kerig coffee. Plenty of closet space and the bathroom was spotless. Loved the lighting, well done. Outside fire pit and Tiki bar was the place to be. It's small still plenty of space and the lady bartender was just fabulous. Lots of little seating areas. Pool is large, plenty of lounge chairs, outdoor shower and spa. There's a self-serve towel area. Towels are on the cheap side but, there are plenty of them. Staff was friendly, attentive all good! Welcoming staff, complimentary morning coffee. It's the ONLY nice short stay hotel on this American Way horseshoe. I would NOT recommend the other hotels they are in dire need of renovations. SKIP the breakfast- overpriced and nothing great. Lobby area Bathrooms NEED to be addressed it's new, clean BUT the toilets are NOT automatic as indicated and unless you know where the SIDE BUTTON is to flush people just leave it -ABSOLUTELY GROSS- FIX IT NO restaurant- quick little snack shack- plenty of places around to eat Walls are thin - so YES, you can hear other guests and noise. Price was average considering it's a one night stay on a Friday in Orlando - and knowing what the other hotels looked like inside and out- I consider this a bargain! Would I stay again, yes.

• Sharon (6/5): - Okay for one night after a day at the parks. This was our first time at this particular Hilton. We are Hilton members and I typically like this brand however this did not meet my expectations. The blackout curtain in our room would not close so the parking lot lights shone in our room all night, and there was no conditioner or body wash in our shower. Of course I didn’t realize it until I was already in the shower…the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the water pressure descent but it’s the little things that keep people coming back and I think the mark was missed this trip.

• Dawn (10/5): Excellent Hotel - This hotel was excellent—clean, comfortable, great staff. Very close to Universal, about a $6 Lyft ride if you don't want to pay $32 for parking. The hotel also offers a shuttle. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.
