- Jennifer (2/5): Unresolved Issues, Unsafe Practices, and Poor Comm - Numa finally contacted me after my review on Google (which is below) they’ve offered 20% refund which is still pending as they said it would take 10-14 days. Review: “If there is an issue, they will not be able to resolve it timely or respond. (1) AC was out in my mother’s room the entire 5 day stay and it was a very hot weekend. All they offered was 30% refund after days of no status or responding to us. (2) the essentials closet was empty so no towels for a day. They said they would drop some off the next day. (3) they dropped off the towels BUT LEFT OUR ROOM DOOR WIDE OPEN WITH OUR BELONGINGS EXPOSED!! Absolutely unacceptable for any accommodation!! They told me multiple times over WhatsApp that safety was trip priority and someone would contact me in 10-15 minutes… that never happened! I do not recommend Numa Berlin for long term stays or safety reasons.”

- Todd (2/5): - The worst experience that i have had. No AC and was told daily they would fix it. They never did. Shower leaks water out of the small confined area. Asked for clean towels and didn’t receive until after 24 hours. No towels in the essential closet. There was not enough room for two people to have luggage and move around in the room at the same time. The TV would not let us stream even though they said it would. Only one chair at the desk to sit in and it was at the foot of the bed upstairs. I have no idea why they gave us this room as we ordered a medium room and was billed for a medium room. We are expecting a 30% refund but have yet to receive it. I will be taking this further to the management to get a full refund for all of the inconveniences and accommodations that lacked.

- Julia (10/5): Great apartment, great position. - Great place to stay. Really near underground station so easy to get everywhere (although also only a 20 minute walk to the Brandenburg Gate). Great facilities in hotel - able to prepare our own breakfasts and meals (there’s a Lidl nearby). Case storage, drink making facilities and loo’s available on day of departure until 20:00 a brilliant bonus.

- Andre (8/5): Super! - Studio bien situé à 5 min du checkpoint Charlie et métro en face de l’appartement. Épicerie à 7-8 min à pied. Très propre. Lave linge au sous sol, très pratique peu coûteux. On y retrouve au ds un sèche linge à emprunter et possibilité de changer serviettes et reprendre café, sucre et lait au besoin. Je recommande.

- Ken (8/5): Good long term stay - Great location close to public transit. Beautiful building good sized room. A little difficult to communicate with live person when faced with challenges. Reasonably priced and good amenities.
- Andrew (8/5): Good, reasonably priced stay - I picked this hotel for a short sight seeing break just before Christmas. It is conveniently located near to Checkpoint Charlie and the U-bahn. The stay felt a little strange on arrival compared to many since there is no reception; it is all done via their website, app or WhatsApp, resulting in a pin code supplied before arrival. It all worked just fine for me, no issues getting to my room at all. There is a small lounge area inside the front door, but otherwise it is mostly just the rooms. Mine was one of the ones with a kitchenette - so microwave, fridge, small hob, sink and matching utensils. It is good for a small amount of cooking, but nothing very big. The room was a reasonable size, and bed was comfy. Had everything you might expect. It looked out into a light well in the middle of the building and had a door that could open into this which was good if it got too hot. Not complaints, was a good place to stay.

- Sandra (8/5): - The location was very good there was an underground right outside and a bus stop down the road. I would note that the under ground is under the hotel so it can be very noisy. No workers to greet you. Don’t think I saw a worker the entire time I was there. You check in yourself, you do everything via WhatsApp. No human touch at all. The room smelt like sewage and carpet was hard. You have pay for your room to be cleaned which I thought was stupid and should be included in your bill. Doors did not have any chains on and as a female made me feel unsafe.
- Aaron (8/5): Great location - It was a great place to stay. Excellent location and the facilities were mostly really great. Only a couple of issues. The bathroom needs a vent. It’s like a sauna. It would be good to have housekeeping on at least one day to get fresh towels etc. we also had a lot of noise from construction on the last morning that was very inconvenient at 0715 am.

It's very close to Tempodron music venue and Checkpoint Charlie. The transport around Berlin is fantastic, so everything we wanted to see was accessible. The communication from Numa via Whatsapp was great too. Very helpful and speedy. My one complaint was the breakfast options, but also the quality of the food. This was not what we were expecting, so I'd be wary of booking breakfast again with a Numa hotel as it wasn't worth the money.
- Gemma (10/5): Recommended - Amazing location near checkpoint Charlie. Very clean, well kept hotel, comfortable bed and nice shower. Shampoo, conditioner, hand/body wash and cream available. Fridge with bottle of water, tea and coffee making facilities. Hairdryer and laundry room, if needed. Warm, safe, easy check in/out. Breakfast delivery to your door, not lots of choice but handy to have, cafes/Lidl nearby if you'd rather use those.

Shower didn’t drain properly. They experienced a building wide hot water outage for an entire day. Also the fire alarm went off and the entire building had to be evacuated late at night. This was all during a 3 night stay. It was convenient for walking around in tourist sight seeing areas, that’s about it.

- Sarah (8/5): - The building is amazing and in a great location for sight seeing. Our room was huge and beautifully designed with quality bedding, toiletries and coffee and a wonderful shower. Communication was good considering there is no reception.The only downside is that the air conditioning didn't work and because it was very hot we had to open the windows. Our room was at the front of the building with a busy street outside and there was a lot of traffic noise in the night and roadworks directly outside in the day. This took away the enjoyment of being in such a great space.

- william (10/5): - First time using an accommodation like this without a reception etc so had some reservations but these were unfounded, great messages and communications over text, email and WhatsApp meant we had all the info we needed, not long off the plane in Berlin and we got a message that the room was ready so we could check in early, great bonus, the location and building where wonderful, the family room had two good sized rooms, useful wee kitchen and good sized fridge. The code you are sent is used on a couple of entrance doors so the place feels secure. Good laundry on site as well, and we needed some extra towels and an iron and a quick WhatsApp told us where we could get these downstairs. Brilliant
- Emma (10/5): - I stayed here for 2 weeks in a studio style room and absolutely loved it! I have stayed in many similar types of hotels around Europe because I work remotely and travel as a digital nomad, and this has been my favourite so far! It was so clean, modern, fresh feeling, and in a super convenient location. I felt very safe as a solo female traveller in this hotel, and it was astoundingly quiet. The bed was so comfortable, I looked up the mattress brand for future reference. My friend stayed with me the first week and we spent a lot time in the room because we loved it so much and felt at home. There is a great Lidl a couple of minutes walk away, bakeries, coffee shops (a Starbucks just up the road if you really must!) & pharmacies close by, plus The Mall of Berlin is ten minutes walk away. There are multiple public transportation options very nearby too. I was surprised that it had an actual stove top, not just a microwave, a Nespresso machine, a fridge with a little freezer, good aircon, and a wonderful heated towel rail. I will always stay in a Numa property in the future where possible!

- M (8/5): Loud Fridge & Staffless hotel adds to coldness - The room is fine and comfortable except for the fridge. It's too loud and is close to the bed. I had to turn it off during the night because it woke me up on numerous occasions and I am a heavy sleeper! The Ren Toiletries are great and welcome snacks are nice to have. The hotel is a little odd. It's a surprise there is no reception desk as the building is huge and there's always seems to be a security guard downstairs so I'm not sure why they haven't got a permanent member of staff on premises. You can contact the hotel staff via whatsapp but it would be helpful to speak to someone in person. There is no bar, no reception desk, no tourist info board. This adds to the coldness to the place. So if you're looking for just a room and you don't need to use the fridge then this is the place for you.

Horrible experience. Never booking with Numa again.

- Sheri (10/5): - This apartment was awesome and probably one of the best that I've stayed in while travelling. Given the price, Numa far exceeded expectations on every level. It's super close to the metro, in a safe neighbourhood, clean, modern and has easy access. They even left snacks and gifts to help promote other businesses - all of which were awesome picks. I'd totally stay here again while in Berlin.

- Amir Mehdi (6/5): Ok hotel (not much of a 4-Star hotel though) - Some parts of the hotel was closed. The lobby looked like a 3-star hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Some parts of the corridors smelled like someone is smoking.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Poor service, not a 4star hotel - The hotel had seen better times. It’s not really a 4star hotel. But the location is top and the hotel is clean. I just wouldn’t expect too much here. What I really didn’t appreciate was rude and unprofessional receptionists. The check in wasn’t nice at all. Our reservation wasn’t even in the system. Our reservation was already prepaid but at the check in and check out we were told in not a nice way that it wasn’t . We didn’t hear “I’m sorry for the inconvenience” or similar. Neither we hadn’t been asked how our stay was, etc. Also our basic questions about transportations, shopping possibilities etc. weren’t really professionally answered, luckily there is google. :) bad WiFi, fitness room needs a special key (strange), machines locked (I guess you need to ask at the reception to unlock it, but with the unfriendly staff you simply don’t feel like doing it), sauna access only after an additional fee (strange again), no amenities (not a big deal, but definitely not a 4star comfort)
- JD (10/5): - Please be aware that if you get to the hotel early, they will have rooms but will not allow you to check in until 3pm UNLESS you give them €12 (euros) extra. If you pay the extra you can check in right away as we did at 11:30am. It’s stupid because the room is ready and just another few added to get you. Please be aware.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My 3rd visit, still ok, but not quite 4 star. Staff very friendly, but no proper soap in the bathroom, just a squeezy bottle, and the safe is not big enough for even a tablet, let alone a laptop.

- Brian (8/5): Nice stay, good location. - A convenient location right next to the Ubahn stop. Easy check in, needed to ask for a kettle, but this is very common in European hotels. Arrived promptly which was appreciated. Room was spotless and comfortable.
- Mohamed (6/5): - The staff were friendly and polite, but the room heater did not work and there was a strange clicking sound coming from the air conditioning panel which made it hard to sleep. Otherwise, very conveniently located hotel and comfortable.
- Carsten (8/5): The Hotel itself looks nice but the rooms are need - The Hotel is in general very nice, the service was good and I actually good a room upgrade! The room, however, wasn't a real upgrade, just bigger but the quality of the room is a bit oldish. The Hotel itself looks nice but the rooms are needing a refurbishment.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel is in an excellent location, central and very near the u-bahn. It looks a little dated but it is extremely clean, with very comfortable beds and a small gym available for guests to use for free. Negatives for the hotel are that although the staff were friendly and helpful, it took them over an hour to send someone to us when we had a problem with the safe; the air conditioning didn't work - not good when it's 30 degrees; and on the Friday and Saturday there were wedding parties in the function room on the ground floor. We were on the third floor and could hear the music being played really loudly as though it was next door.

- Melissa (10/5): Nice hotel! - The staff here was friendly. Check-in was easy and they held luggage until that time. My room was nice, and the bathroom with shower/tub was particularly large for European hotels. The location was great: half block from metro, and just a 2-3 minute walk to Checkpoint Charlie. It was an easy walk (10-20) to the major sites of Berlin. I didn’t eat here, so cannot comment. Hotel and my room were clean. A/C worked well and I water pressure was good. I would stay here again.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very central location and building with an individual facade (but not much more than that). Our room looked into a light well and we would have preferred an outward view. The restaurant was closed, so breakfast was served in an artificially-lit function room when it would have been nicer to have a view out and daylight. The show temperature was not adequately controlled by the thermostatic tap - it varied with quite long cold stretches. My wife would have liked a kettle in the room to make tea.

- Nageswaran (10/5): Nice hotel worth the money - Very good location, friendly staff, easy check-in, good breakfast, clean, comfort bed, clean linen, nice shower, spacious enough for a couple trip. Worth the money. Very close to check point Charlie would love to stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Overall great location. Just a few things that they could improve on considering they're a 4 star hotel. They are advertised as having a restaurant within the hotel for all meals but once we were there it was stated that they were only open for breakfast (very minute thing but if you're planning to have dinner the day you arrive there have a back up). The rooms are a bit small and the bathroom needed a lot of tlc... The staff were friendly but you might find yourself not having a phone call answered after 6pm. It was a lovely but wouldn't stay here again.
