Sanvi (8/5): “Easy Access to Transport, Clean Rooms — But Water Issues Were a Letdown” - We stayed at Sirena’s Suites from May 26th to 29th, and overall, it was a good experience. The hotel was clean, the room was tidy and well-maintained, and all the basic facilities were in place and functioning well. It was a comfortable stay for our family of five, including three young children. One of the major advantages of this location is how easy it is to get around. The tram stop is just a short walk away, and taking the tram was very convenient and straightforward. It made exploring the area much easier and less stressful, especially with kids. However, we did encounter a significant issue during our stay. One evening, when we returned to the room, there was no water—and this continued through the night and into the next morning. This was particularly challenging with young children. We later found out from locals that this was due to tunnel work affecting the area’s water supply. While it might not have been entirely under the hotel’s control, we strongly felt that the property management should have informed us ahead of time and taken some steps to prepare or offer alternatives. Additionally, there were power outages on two separate mornings, although the electricity was restored by the time we returned to the room each day, so it didn’t have a major impact. Despite these inconveniences, I would still recommend Sirena’s Suites. The property is clean, comfortable, and well-located, especially for travelers who plan to use public transport. I do hope they improve their communication and planning around local infrastructure issues in the future.

Nanette (9/5): Sirena Suites was a great place to spend 6 nights in Istanbul! - It was a comfortable apartment which served us well during our 6 nights in Istanbul. The kitchen was small, but had everything we needed. The beds and pillows were comfortable. There were plenty of outlets. The closet was adequate in size. The staff was friendly and responded quickly to our requests. The elevator was a life saver! After walking the steep streets of Istanbul, we were relieved to not have to climb the stairs to the apartment. The location was great as well! It’s walkable to Taksim, Cihangir and also the waterfront of the Bosphorus. There are also some restaurants and coffee shops close to the apartment. We were a group of 6 with 3 apartments. They all met the needs of the group, but we especially loved apartment no. 6. It is larger than the other 2 and served as the hangout for all of us. We enjoyed our stay very much! The stairs were a bit tricky because it was a spiral staircase. But we rarely needed to use them. The location is in a very hilly section of Istanbul, but we liked its proximity to Taksim, Galata, Cihangir and the Bosphorus waterfront.

Muhammad (10/5): Mehmet and Team make it feel like it home away home. - Location of the apartment is perfect for anyone visiting Istanbul. I have been staying at the location for almost 7-8 years. I consider it as my Home away Home. Mehmet and the Crew are always helpful and make it feel like home. T1 Tram is 3 mins. 10 min walk to Taksim. SOK (grocery store) is right across the apartment. Clean rooms, comfy bed, iron and all the required utensils in kitchen are available including microwave, fridge and Stove. Never had any issue in last 10-12 stays at the apartment.

Muteb (1/5): Bad - Nothing it was the worst night i spent in the whole period of my vacation in istanbul the cold is terrable an the heating system is very weak my kids sleep with jacket an the most terrable thing that noise came from every where you will listen every single car and chat between people and the worst thing there is the children school front the suites you will hear scream and noise in the early of morning. I can't stay in this apartment more than one night and it out of my control because it is late and it is not safe to take a taxi with my familey at 1:00 a.m I ask the owner to return my money for the second night because i didn't stay over one night i stay wske up until the morning and take taxi and move to another hotel but he or she tell to contact with booking and i contact with booking they tell it is between me and him or her after known about it he or she refuse to return money.
Kamal (9/5): Memorable stay - Fabulous location and great views from the room. Just a bit outside of Karakoy, so the neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. Room has all necessary amenities that made our stay very convenient. Couple of minor issues: The balcony door didn’t have a curtain which is a bit of a problem as the room becomes brightly lit from dawn. Also I needed to carry luggage through 1 flights of stairs which was Ok but could be a problem for specific persons

Catalin (9/5): Good place for a short stay - Property was close to bus station and public attractions at Taksim Square. Check-in was smooth and easy contact with owner. If you are 4-5 people staying it is really affordable and good view from the terrace. We had the apartment on last floor with terrace. Quiet area with market around if you need to buy food/water. Bed sheets, towels, everything was provided. Elevator working which is great for luggage. After checkout we left the luggage in the building for a few hours. We had a small incident at checkout, it was my fault. I usually keep the key in the door on the inside and when we checked out, I forgot the key in the door on the inside.. and with the locking system they use, you cannot open the door from the outside without a key. Luckily it didn’t happen mid stay and we had taken all luggage out of the apartment before the door closed, otherwise we would need to get back in.. I think they managed to open the door with a spare key without trouble. So do not forget to always take the key with you when going outside

We stayed in december and the fact that the apartment had central heating system was amazing. Some renovations are needed, but overall it was a pleasant stay and we will come back.

If you are interested in Istiklal or Taksim square, the apartment is highly recommended. Train station is around the corner, a couple of groceries are also available. - Even though everything is exactly as it appears in the pictures, the apartment is not feeling you luxurious or even clean. It smells not very well, bedrooms have views from outside, there were not enough toilet papers, basic kitchen stuff like oils, salt, papers etc. - The apartment is in front of a school, and crowded narrow street which is terribly noisy -Talking about your commute from apartment to Taksim square, there is a 20% slope which you have to endeavor to go up the hill. If you are suffering from backpain or any anatomical problems, I won’t recommend the apartment at all.

Shahzad (9/5): Excellent location - The location of the flat is perfect, with everything closeby ferry boat, tram, Taksim Square, restaurants. It is our second time staying here. Occasional traffic on the road at night time sometimes creates noise but not for too long.

The budget-friendly nature of the hotel made it an attractive choice for travelers seeking comfortable accommodation without breaking the bank. We were pleased with the value for money we received during our stay. The rooms at Sirena Suites lived up to our expectations, accurately matching the photos and providing the amenities as mentioned in the details. It was reassuring to find that the accommodations were as advertised, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free stay for us and our family. A notable advantage for families with children was the presence of a kitchenette in the suites. This feature allowed us to prepare meals and snacks for our little ones, adding convenience and saving us from the hassle of dining out for every meal. However, we did encounter a minor issue during our stay. The air conditioning in the living room was problematic, resulting in discomfort during the hot daytime hours. Fortunately, we spent most of our days outside exploring the area, minimizing the impact of this inconvenience. Nonetheless, it would have been more comfortable if the living room's air conditioning was functioning properly.

Alaa (10/5): - The flat was nice, spacious, well-furnished and had beautiful massive windows (lots of sunlight). The washing machine was very handy to have. However, it could have been cleaner (there was dust on the floor [clean but as if not cleaned recently or cleaned but not thoroughly & small square pillows in bedroom were disgusting - yellowish from peoples' sweat). A drawback is that there is no sound proof and it is easy to get distracted by noises from the street. Also, there was no tissues at all (which is standard, so strange not to have) or cleaning detergents (dish soap / glass cleaner). And surprisingly no tea bags!! Generally very good, I would return and recommended! =)

Roshanak (8/5): Very good - The location is great, very close to Galata Port and Besiktas and if you don't mind steps, 10 mins to Taksim Square. You could also easily get Tramva or a bus. If you like to cook, there is an electric gas and a microwave and all the tools you need. We stayed 13 nights and Mehmet was very responsive and provided all services we asked for. The only thing with the place is noisy nights. If you are a light sleeper, you may find it difficult to sleep with all the noises coming from outside (Seagulls, cats, neighbors,...). Maybe a double-glazed window will help.

They were quite helpful in helping and guiding us plan our stay and sightseeing. Most recommended for a stay in Istanbul! Just 1 bathroom for a 2 bedroom suite! Quite difficult to manage for a larger group.

Xenie (10/5): Great stay for a family - The room was exactly the same as on the pictures on Booking. Apartment was very spacious and we didn´t miss any facilities. Wifi signal was good, however there was couple of times, when signal went off, but it was for a very short time. Mehmet, who is the manager of these suites is very helpful and caring. We have no problem with self check in, all the instructions were sent in details and on time. The apartment was very warm for April: we had no problem to let our baby run barefoot. As per baby facillities we were provided with baby cot and a bit later Mehmet also brought baby chair to our apartment. To conclude: it was great apartment with Bosforus view, not very steepy path to get to it. As well, there is great transport facilities: tram T1 to Sultanahmet to reach all the main historic sights and buses to West-northen part. Funicular to Taksim is 5-7 minutes walk away. Something, what apartment manager/owner can´t affect, but it should be taken into consideration by travellers: - there is a school across the street, hence a lot of children screams and shouts during a break, when a break ends loud music plays to call them in. And it is heard in every room of apartments. When our baby had had his midday sleep, it distracted him a bit. However in summer during holidays it should be ok. - Muezzins´ calls are realy loud and could be heard everywhere in apartment, which could be a problem for light sleepers (also during late evening and early morning before sunrise) -To get to Taksim square by foot is rather hard - very steepy hill, but funicular solves the problem. However to get back is rather fast: by foot about 10-15 minutes down the hill. Apart of the above, the street is rather quiet.

Very friendly and helpful owner. Good heating which is essential for a trip in early spring. Kitchen is much more worn than shown on the photos; bad smell of cat urine in the masters bedroom and bad smell in the bath room. Rooms could need a better dusting.

The place allocation in Istanbul are brilliant, Taksim square, Tramline, substation and ship in walking availability. We were living in this apartment with 2 year old child during 2weeks and felt ourselves like in home.

If we needed anything, the business owners were super responsive, nice, and efficient. We got whatever we asked for in a couple of hours. They were very helpful in giving tips for our travel and also for our checkout since we could leave our luggage in a safe place on the property for a few hours. It was well equipped exactly like they said in the description. The WiFi was extremely good. The tram line T1 is just 150m away, connecting you with Eminonu and SultanAhmet areas within minutes (skipping all the traffic). Taksim Square is also accessible by Metro line F1 (around 300m away), which is a special Metro line just for this single route. By this way you are skipping the around 15min high hill walking to Taksim Square
