- Duncan (10/5): - We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel. Its out of the centre and close to the underground station. This means it is quiet and peaceful at night but easy enough to travel to the city centre. It was about a 5 minute walk, we got the 5 day unlimited travel card that enabled up to get around result. The rooms are well equipped and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we've ever slept in. Staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was decent and there was lots of choice for all people. The pool area was nice and the loungers were comfortable, it wasn't busy as it's not a sit around the pool kind of hotel. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would use it again.

They tell you about the outdoor swimming pool closed from October onwards but my biggest issue is they don't tell you all the indoor pool facilities falls under the spa part. This is a chargeable cost at 40 Euros for 90 mins per person if I had of known this I would not of chosen this hotel. I get that spas are a upchargable item but the indoor pool should be separate like any other hotel.

The only downside was that the outdoor pool wasn’t heated, so my 8-year-old couldn’t enjoy it, and the indoor pool was reserved for the spa, with no access for children. It was not a kid-friendly facility.

The bellman at the front door completely ignored my wife who was standing there to ask for a taxi to go to the airport. Will not use Grand Hyatt again.

It was within walking distance to public transport which was extremely convenient for us and the spa in the hotel was unbelievable, making the trip memorable. I’d definitely recommend staying and we will certainly be back.
- Tony (10/5): Excellent!! - The room exceeded all expectations, a large comfortable bed, a small seating area, a desk, his and hers sinks, a huge shower and separate toilet. The hotel staff were friendly, accomodating and helpful in all interactions with them offering us a slightly later checkout FOC due to our flight being later. The swimming pool was picturesque, and provided a relaxing area to enjoy the sun away from the hustle of the city and the gym had plenty of equipment to get a good workout. The only minor negative was that the location was slightly further away from the areas we wanted to spend time in. That's on us though, and did not takeaway from the hotel itself. Overall an excellent experience.
- Bobby (10/5): - Such a nice property. I want to come back only because of that. A guys name that starts with Mama that had been there for 8 years gave me great advise of the property and answered all my questions however they sent me the wrong room service order and claimed that the pizza I wanted wasnt on the menu even though it was clearly printed online. They did not give me a bottle opener leaving me to open a glass bottle with a knife. That itself made it feel like a 3 or 4 star property at most. I gave them euro cash for the order and told them I would be paying cash euro. I can only assume they took it as a perseived "tip". When checking out they told me my room service order was never paid. I was upset and this makes me weary to book here again as I love barcelona and went to Ibiza, Ushuaia as an amazing experience during my trip. Arguably #1 club in the world for house music. So long story short I double paid for room service at a 5 star hotel. I've worked for Marriott many years ago at a JW and this kind of service is unheard of. I did not feel any extra touch that was typical for a 5 star property besides the baggage handlers which were helpful and checking in was smoothe.

- Anna (6/5): - The property puts employees in a tricky situation where despite their intention to make things better they can’t. GR Florencia was outstanding and made it a better experience. I do feel bad for her having to fix managements oversights. What doesn’t work: they charge £40+ to use the spa which is baffling especially when it rains, rooms are dated with wet area wood bubbling up and taps running a bit wild. In the room instead of water they offer water coolers/taps but they don’t work, dispensing warm water instead of cold and making noise, rooms have a stale smell - I stayed in room 614 maybe it was just my room. Shower water really smelled of chlorine as well. On my last day when waiting by the pool to go to the airport, they gave us 10 minutes to get out because of an event without an apology or a fair warning at 4ish pm instead of 8 - and the employee kicking us all out was quite rude. The bar wasn’t open and the €17 glass of cava (!!! Not champagne or anything) I ordered was initially served flat by room service attendant and I had to ask for a new glass. This was a really negative end of my experience and I can confidently say I’ll never be back to this hotel. There are much nicer hotels at a similar price point that have much nicer service. What worked: Beds were comfy, the upstairs bar was nice, and the pool bar employees were lovely, as were guest service teams including concierge. It’s a shame for the team who clearly try hard to make up for management mistakes.

Located a 5min walk from Maria Christina metro station allowing you access to all parts of Barcelona via a very clean and efficient subway system. Across the street from the hotel there are at least 5 different cafes where you will have a choice of sandwiches and excellent pastries at a very reasonable price.

I'm returning to Barcelona next year and will definitely book here again.

The pool facility was super in the very hot weather. Drinks in the hotel were eye watering, 15 euros for a beer with dinner when we checked in, this wasn’t clear on the menu. Make use of the cafes and bars which are at most five mins walk away in a lovely residential area. I asked for checkout a couple of hours later than 12pm, a gentleman on the desk said that was fine. We were then locked out of the room and when I questioned this, advised that late checkout would be 25% of the total cost of the stay.

However on my last day I noticed I was charged double of everything including £200 for room cleaning. We went downstairs and spoke to someone at reception. I think the service is quite slow as well, however the pool is beautiful.

- Ellis (8/5): - Grand Hyatt Barcelona was awesome. The hotel grounds are beautiful, the roof top bar was incredible and had panoramic views of the city. The hotel staff were incredible, accommodating, and so friendly - shout out to Paul, Federico, Miquel, Adrien who went above and beyond to provide great service. Hotel is conveniently located in Les Corts. Took tram and metro everywhere as it was fast and convenient. The only drawback I have is that the hotel seemed to have thin floors and walls. You can hear neighbor’s conversations and foot steps. Had some rowdy people next door and it felt like they were inside my room! Other than this the hotel was beautiful. I recommend it.

- Michael (2/5): - Absolutely horrible experience this last week at the Grand Hyatt. On several occasions the hotel manager and staff accused us of flooding the room below us by using the shower. It took them three visits to the room to determine it was a faulty pipe from the water dispenser. On several occasions the maintenance staff tried to barge into the room to look into this issue. One time was after 12am when we were sleeping. The manager offered nothing in return for all of the disturbances. Stay far away from this place.
