• Louis-Philippe (4/5): - There was no one for me to check in. Impossible to communicate with the owners. There is small ants everywhere in the room. When I woke up, there was at least 200 in the bed with me. I know it's cheap but it doesn't have to be disgusting.

• geoffrey (10/5): Best Location - Location Location Location!!! Not only was the AC ice cold and the rooms of nominal size, the service was outstanding and always available to assist in any way. Highly recommend! We actually cancelled our future hotel stay to come back to Super Oyo 520, that is how wonderful it is.

• Kristian (8/5): I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location was perfect but the staff is not available 24/7. - I absolutely loved the location of this hotel! It's so convenient and easily accessible, with many popular landmarks nearby. Everything I wanted to see was just a short distance away, making it a perfect spot for exploring the area. The room was a bit on the smaller side, but considering the price, it was quite reasonable. It's a great choice for solo travelers or couples seeking an affordable stay. The front desk is not available 24/7. If you're planning to check in late, it's important to notify the property in advance. Without staff at the front desk during late hours, you might experience a longer wait time when you arrive. Just something to keep in mind if you’re arriving late in the evening.

• Hui (5/5): okay if you are looking to crash for a night - Location feels safe and grab driver who dropped me, and the next one who picked me up could find it easily, and take calls from property easily Up 4 storey of steep staircase with luggage and backpack, with no HELP. Wifi was NOT provided or paste in room, and i needed to walk 4 storey down just to get it

• Beth (6/5): Good value for money - Great location, very close to bus station and various other amenities. The room was as expected and very clean. The staff were never around - when we arrived there were no towels in our room and every time we went to reception to ask for help there was no one there. It was very noisy late at night and in the early morning. We constantly heard slamming of doors and shouting through the night meaning every night we did not sleep properly. As well as this there was construction works going on next door late into the night/early morning. Other guests on our floor were very loud also. Lastly we were charged significantly more for our room than advertised on Booking.com which I have since discovered has happened to others. Unfortunately we would not stay again and advise others against staying.

• 465ollym (10/5): Loved our stay - Stayed for 2 nights here. The room itself was clean and didn’t smell of smoke or anything. The bed was comfy and the wifi and shower were good. The staff were around all the time, and often greeted us, but as they didn’t speak much English we didn’t interact all that much. Our stay was at a good price, and we would stay again!

If any problems occurred and we had to explain something to the receptionist, a simple google translate worked but they made us feel comfortable and welcome!

• Bianca (5/5): You get for what you pay for - Good location, rooms were fine. First night I was put into a room with a very loud buzzing aircon. So loud I couldn’t sleep. It was hard for me to speak to the staff as they did not speak English and when I called the number provided, they kept hanging up on me when I explained the situation. Also the guy at reception barely pays any attention. They told me they’d call the aircon guy and when he showed up, he was really confused why they called as he couldn’t fix it. They moved me to a different room so was grateful for that. Sheets were not cleaned properly and there was hair all over the pillows. Also I was on the top floor so was quite annoying to have to walk up 4 flights of stairs each time but you got used to it after a few days.

• Madeline (6/5): Pleasant - The location was good, easy walk to Main Street with lots of food and drink options. Excellent air conditioning. Upon checking in they were requesting a price higher than what I had booked and was stated on my booking. And could provide no real explanation for the difference in agreed price and what they wanted to charge, they did in the end accept the price I had booked for. The bed in the room had been made up with a ripped sheet, exposing part of the mattress, we only received 1 towel and had to source another one. The toilet paper wasn’t put in the holder and was just sat on top, room wasn’t particularly clean, but okay for the standard we have seen in Vietnam.
• Watson (8/5): Very good - It's location is great and close to everything you'd need . They were doing construction work 24 hrs 2 thun buildings down using an excavator and other loud machinery right throughout the night .
• Nadezhda (6/5): Average hotel near Bui Vien - Room was quite stylish. Good bathroom. Stable Wi-Fi. Very good location. No elevator! Only stairs, hard to bring luggage. Booking declared there was 6 free rooms but the guy at the desk offered me just two rooms at highest floor. I asked why the price on spot is higher than through Booking, the answer was "go ahead, use booking". Then he said I booked budget room without window. OK, but next day booking price became +100K so we checked out. All rooms are quite small and budget ones don't have any windows. Bedlinens have holes, towel wasn't pure enough.

• Zsuzsa (4/5): Budget-Friendly but Compromised Comfort - Its location was advantageous, offering convenience and accessibility to nearby attractions. Our stay at the OYO homestay left us with mixed emotions. As budget travelers, we're used to simple accommodations, but the room fell short of expectations. The initial moldy smell and ants in the bathroom and on the walls everywhere were immediate drawbacks. The reception area was consistently noisy with loud conversations, laughter, and frequent door slamming, creating a party-like atmosphere late into the night. While some might tolerate such liveliness, it disrupted our peace and quiet, making our experience less than pleasant. Though cleanliness wasn't a major issue, it added to the inconveniences. The persistent noise, including from the upstairs guests as well ,became genuinely bothersome. While understanding it's a homestay, ensuring guests have a restful stay is crucial for any service. Unfortunately, we didn't experience that, but we hope for improvements in the future.
• Thi thuy (8/5): - Quiet, peaceful for resting. Very basic furniture. Room a bit small. A bit annoyed if you bring heavy luggage, no lift. Pretty ok if you only need to stay and go around.

The surprise came the last night, when the "man" who slept on the sofa in the reception at night came up to our room at 3 a.m and try to open our room and knocked very loudly asking to pay for the room, showing his wallet with money, because of course, no one speaks English in this hotel. I refused and closed the door very scared and angry. The next day I asked the reception about what had happened and they excused themselves that this "man" did not work in the hotel that he was "from the family" or something like that (they told me laughing through google translate). I spent 3 nights in this hotel and i knew that this man was the “security man” or something like that in the night. I still don’t know if “this man” was completely drunk or just the hotel was a completely chaotic. All. Don’t go to this hotel. Is crazy what happened to us.

I was not updated at any point, and when I reached, I was told they were fully booked and couldn’t accommodate me. My booking was not cancelled by the hotel as well and this particular deal did not allow cancellations on my end so my money has been stuck with them. I haven’t been able to get a refund even though I didn’t break any rules
• Juliana (6/5): Central and cheap - but due to bedbugs not recommended - Quite centrally located, 3 minutes away from the bus stop to the airport und around the corner from Bui Vien Street, price was good bedbugs and red ants in the bed, no hot shower and no hairdryer as promised, barely someone at the reception to ask for things

• Justin (6/5): Good place to stay best bui vien away from the party craziness. - Great location. Walking distance to Bui Vien walking street, local market, circle k, bus agencies etc. Clean room. Good AC. Comfy bed. Room was on the top floor so it was very quiet. Receptionist felt a little shy when we first arrived. Hotel felt empty but we were put on the 5th floor. It didn’t have an elevator. Couldn’t take a warm shower at night because water is solar powered.
