From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I needed. The bed was comfortable, and the linens were fresh and inviting. The hotel's attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the thoughtful touches in the room to the delicious breakfast spread. What made our stay even more special was the photoshoot we had booked for my nephew's matric dance. The hotel's facilities and staff made it a truly unforgettable experience. Overall, I would highly recommend the Fauchl Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-run hotel with exceptional service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfection.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The hotel is beautifully designed—clean, modern, and incredibly peaceful. But what truly made our experience unforgettable was the service. Vincent and Wole went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail were truly world-class. They are the heart of the hotel and made us feel at home in every way. There was honestly nothing to fault—everything exceeded our expectations.
• Thabo (1/5): The stay not bad. - Location and friendly front door and reception To rate this as a 5 star boutique hotel is outrageous,the room was sub standard,the sanitary bin on the bathroom had a dirty diaper assuming from a previous occupant,they had no slippers or gowns after asking for the slippers and gown,they bought a very old gown with holes on them 😠 Most of the food in the menu was not available and after ordering what was on offer,the food not nice.

I didn't like that I wasn't provided with slippers or a bathrobe, as stated when I made the booking. That really caused a bit of upset because I wasn't told beforehand that these were not available. I was told that the bathrobes we all in the wash. Found that a little strange because they knew they had guests coming. Breakfast was underwhelming. Had the omelette, I wasn't able to finish it, too much oil used.

The restaurant is the worse restaurant I have know, still water out of stock in the restaurant, neither in room. No bread available in the restaurant, food very poor quality and expensive. Service clientele very poor. I did not finish my order, they closed the restaurant and let me without food for dinner. The bedroom very poor, no water to drink, no mirror in the room, no glass. The bathroom very basic, hot water takes lot of time to come, water pressure very low. Conclusion I did not like this hotel at all, will never recommend any one to go there.

• Barbara (7/5): Quiet stay in Johannesburg - Nice rooms, late checkout without having to pay. Nice and helpful staff. The food service was extremely slow. We were the only guests and breakfast took an hour to arrive.
• Bongi (6/5): Not so pleasant - The room size No housekeeping yet we stayed for 3 nights So coming back from work at 10pm to the same dirty coffee cups and unmade bed was for the greatest low , And the shower in the presidential room is very slippery cause it has the same tiles as the wall tiles .
• Evripidis (8/5): My cousin was extremely satisfied with his stay at your hotel and all the staff were very friendly. - I am Sophia the cousin of the guests who stayed at your hotel. B assisted me with the booking and along the way with various others queries. She was exceptionally helpful and friendly and even went as far as to stay longer even though her shift had ended so that she can assist me with an issue I had and to assure that my family arrives well at your hotel. I have only the best things to say about her. My cousin was very happy with the service he received by everyone. They were very friendly and assisted him with all his needs.

Other guests showing no regard for neighbors and on a couple of nights it was super noisy and no staff supervision to tell them to shut up and show some respect .

They should look into anti slip mat in the bathroom. Accidents can happen that could be fatal. We couldn't close the bathroom door. Please fix. We couldn't switch light from the dressing room.

The ac was not working properly in the initial room allocated, but without hilesitation the room was changed to one were it was functioning properly.

The staff was kind, the rooms were clean and the place is refreshing. We had to ask for water instead of water being provided to us same as how tea and coffee products were provided to us.

There was only 1 pair of sleepers and 1 gown whereas the booking was for 2 people. There was only 1 bottle of still water. The wooden ironing board simple has to go as it was falling apart and iron itself is old style for the property.

• Dayle (5/5): PASSABLE DEFNITELY NOT WORTH THE RATES IN CURRENT CONDITION - we liked the bed we slept in -exteremely comfortable The glass lamp shade was broken hanging over the bed, no cover on Distribution board and Tap pedestal over the bath was lose. All creating a HUGE safety hazard. The most disappointing experience was the shower. There was no water pressure so we used the hand shower but did not know that there was an issue with water drainage and ended up flooding the room.

The sound proof rooms too. The different bar and lounge areas. Great for both family, couple or individual. The bedding was old and torn It wasn’t too clean ( found condoms in the room which eeked me travelling with family made me wonder if it was cleaned) The bedding and towels had a stench as though not clean Beverage pricing is a little steep
