Guest Reviews
- GERALDINE (10/5): - Great place!
- Brian (10/5): - Safe, convenient and great staff.
- Adrienne (10/5): - Must stay here was wonderful. I would definitely stay again. The staff was so nice and so friendly
- Jessey (10/5): - New, Clean, Comfy.
- Mary (10/5): - I love the Decor and the layout of the hotel. The rooftop bar is a nice added touch.
- Josh (2/5): - Terrible service starting with the hotel cancelling the free Airport shuttle despite
- SONJA (10/5): - Everyone was very helpful and friendly
- SONJA (10/5): - Thw area was very clean
- Diane (10/5): - Great hotel. Very clean. All the employees were friendly. Due to the location, there aren’t really any other dining options at least non that are within walking distance.
- Wendy (8/5): - The room was very minimalistic, which was fine. The two chairs that were in the room were basic patio-type chairs. The bathroom was modern and nice, but the water pressure was too low to rinse the soap out of my hair. The tap water was gross and tasted like chlorine, but that’s on Miami, not the hotel. The chairs in the lobby were comfortable. It would have been nice to have one of them in the room. Lighting was hard to figure out, but it was nice & bright.
- c (8/5): - Not bad little bit over priced
- Therese (6/5): - The location, convenience to the airport is great.
The restaurant and bar are very good.
area around check in is very nice.
The bed is comfy.
Dislikes:
SHOWER IS DEADLY SLIPPERY.
Lack of water pressure in the shower.
There is no space in the bathroom to put toiletries curling irons, etc., around the sink area.
In the room the decor is lacking, looks like a high school locker room for the gym, not appealing at all except for maybe grammar or high school kids.
The look of graffiti on the walls and ceilings and black marks on the bottom of the walls is truly ugly. Don't know who thought it was a good look but fire the decorator.
- Therese (6/5): - Great location to airport. 5-10 minutes.
Restaurant/ bar staff is good for an overnight or catching a flight the next day. Would not stay more than overnight. Location is across from Greyhound station but there are also other hotels that chose to locate in this area, So for the price I chose this one.
Check in area is nicely done.
Decor is terrible in the room with graffiti purposely painted on ceilings and walls. Room looks like a gym locker room. Decorator should be fired.
SHOWER IS DEADLY SLIPPERY.
No room around sink to put toiletries.
but bed is comfy
- David (6/5): - Not what I was hoping for in a motel.
- Jamie (10/5): - I loved this hotel! It was quiet and clean and just what we needed. The customer service is 10/10. Any thing we needed they provided us with. It was “red Radisson” but they changed it to “kompose hotel”. I would recommend this place to anybody. And it’s very close to the restaurants and bayside. About 20 minutes away! And they also have a airport shuttle :)
- Michael (10/5): - Check in was a breeze. Emily was great. Food in the restaurant was very good.
- Steve (10/5): - Great location, convenient, service was very good
- Dorothy (10/5): - The property is close to the airport and provides a shuttle which is very convenient. It looks like the hotel has recently been remodeled. Everything is clean and modern, rooms are spacious and there are good amenities. We just are staying one night before a cruise.
- Audra (10/5): - The staff was so accomodating and helpful. Appreciated their offerings and location to the airport and event miami beach. Very clean!
- Juan (6/5): - We book the hotel which on Expedia it indicated that breakfast was included in the price, when we get there they indicated that they changed administration and that there were changes. Nor the Hotel or Expedia advised this. Not even being a Gold member helped.
Next time we will have to review with the hotel to validate any changes that Expedia should advise.
- Erica (10/5): - Very clean and nice. Easy check in and out.
- Melissa, Bob (8/5): - Front desk was wonderful
- Alicia (4/5): - The hotel is like an incomplete project where the investor ran out of money to finish. The toilet had a ring and the ceiling looks like something out of a hotel film. The room was dim even with all of the lights on. The food at the restaurant was decent.
- Donald (10/5): Stopover to cruise - Very clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was complimentary because of construction going on. It was ok. Eggs were way undercooked for our tastes. Ruby was very helpful. Shuttle to Miami pier was reasonable. $15/person.
- Sanjeev (8/5): - Nice property, all staff was very helpful. ONLY the shuttle driver was very rude. As I had 2 small children and he didnt want to help with luggage or stroller at all to put on shuttle from airport or off at the hotel.
- Joanna (8/5): Best Hotel in LA - Love this hotel Friendly staff. Lovely meal and excellent room. Will stay again
- Christel (4/5): - Expedia did a bait and switch: I made a reservation for a Radisson hotel but only found out after arriving to the hotel that the ownership had changed a couple of months ago. The Kompose hotel would only appeal to someone who likes a minimalistic-industrial-under construction kind of decor. I would have gone to another hotel if it were not so late at night since I had to wait for over an hour for an airport shuttle which never came and finally called an Uber--which cost me an additional $10 for the one-mile trip to this hotel.
- Michael (10/5): - Clean. Staff were very nice. Hotel bar was nice given few to no other options.
- Jo (10/5): - Going through a re-branding so some areas were a work in progress but lovely comfortable rooms. A major plus is the breakfast and location to MIA airport.
- Karen (10/5): - Wonderful friendly staff
- Steven (6/5): - Some computer glitches with reservations converting to Kompose, along with staffing
- SANDY (10/5): - Excellent service! Nice new place. Breakfast is included!
- John (6/5): - The service was good and the location was handy for the Miami Airport train station for the Metrorail, however, the design of the rooms was not good, it was an industrial design and it was like an unfinished locker room than a modern hotel room
- Thomas (10/5): - Was good.
- Rogan (8/5): - Can hear noise from the other rooms, other then that the hotel is good foor that price
- Jeffrey (6/5): - Bar, restaurant, and lounge not available. The ceiling in room was unfinished concrete.
- Penny (10/5): - Yes we will be Bach next January
- Marianne (2/5): - The driver of the shuttle from the airport was not interested in assisting a 70 and 72 year old put their bags into the van. The price charged for the room did not seem to be what I had reserved. I did not prepay for the room so I was stuck with the higher amount. My girlfriend did prepay and her room was about $100 less. They required my email to check-in. Why? They required the normal $75 dollars for possible incidentals but when I tried to use that money to get a can of soda I was told "Oh no, that money is incase you damage the room," but I was given the $75 dollars back on my credit card when I checked out. The restaurant was over priced since it was evident the area was still under construction and the staff was not familiar with their offerings and they were out of 2 dishes that evening. At 8pm our room temp was at 77' and we were having trouble getting it to cool down and we couldn't get on the internet. I went down to the desk and the clerk said several guests were experiencing difficulty with the internet and she would call the company. She also said someone would come up and check on the room temperature. No one came to check on the room temperature and we were finally able to get on the internet.
- Marsha (8/5): - You must go early for breakfast as there isn’t enough seating
- Shirley (2/5): - Shuttle and check in were terrible. TV turned on by itself all night
- Atesha (10/5): - Abner is amazing! Super helpful and very professional!
- Sarah (8/5): - The hotel was just bought by another chain so in the midst of upgrades. The hotel is currently has an industrial minimalist design. The bedrooms were very minimally furnish. The bathroom, while roomy, doesn’t have any place to put toiletries. No phones in room to call front desk. The signs indicate improvements are underway. However it was very clean and quiet. Hot Breakfast buffet had all the options.
- Rizwan (8/5): - Good Hotel, breakfast is not free though
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Great staff
- Joe (8/5): - The hotel was good for the stay they are making improvements to the hotel and the staff was very friendly and polite. Would stay there again.
- Kenneth (10/5): Great stay - Beautiful hotel… great customer service
Very clean… everything you should expect from a hotel!
- Andrea (8/5): - Good
- Terri (10/5): - Beautiful art deco style. All staff were wonderful.
Especially Emily front desk and Gemini shuttle driver. They went above and beyond.
Light switches in room was a little confusing, but we figured it out.
Breakfast was ok. More like what you get at a lower grade hotel. They ran out of coffee, and different foods items weren't being replenished. Most people just left and said they were going to try to find somewhere else to get food.
Location is industrial so nothing nearby. We did walk a few blocks and found a little Cuban outside cafe and grabbed an coffee, but it was raining, so grabbed an Uber back to hotel. Staff was very accommodating and let us leave our suitcases at hotel as we had a late flight and we checked out and went exploring via an Uber then came back and retrieved luggage and took their shuttle to airport.
No 24 hour coffee/ water. They remove them when bar opens in evenings.
- Cynthia (10/5): - I like the style and decor.
- Della (8/5): - The hotel is in renovation mode due to new management. All the staff were very friendly, professional & helpful. My niece & I had a very nice stay. My only complaint would be how you have to let them know you have house cleaning services. That part was odd.
- Bona (8/5): - Very clean but short of staff
- Mark (8/5): So-so - Typical’deco’ hotel. Sparsely furnished.
- Robert (10/5): - The decor was wonderfully unique.
- Patricia (8/5): - Nice staff...provided breakfast and transport to shuttle
- Ailsa (6/5): - The Hotel was very clean and well presented. I had an individual problem with the beds being too high for me to get in . staff accommodated me with a step stool which helped
- Jennifer (10/5): - Great place to stay overnight to get to cruise port. Staff extremely friendly and helpful
- Kareem (10/5): - Emily at the front desk was great!
- Cynthia (8/5): - The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We needed to charge our phone and they lent us a phone charger. The room was very clean and comfortable.
- Shaneequa (10/5): - The property was decorated very nice with Christmas decorations. Well put together.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A good hotel -
The hotel is very good, great location, close to the airport, restaurants and market. Very comfortable, clean, has toiletries. We only stayed one night, it was a great stay.
- LINDA (10/5): - I loved the staff!!! My room was clean and awesome. I appreciated the free airport shuttle to the hotel and the $15 shuttle to the cruise port the next day.
- linda (10/5): - Every thing was great
- Cristina (10/5): - This hotel is nice and centrally located near the Miami Airport. It is close enough to the University of Miami for our visits. They have a parking lot. The rooms are modern and clean. I feel safe traveling alone or with family.
- carolina lagua (10/5): - Great stay as always
- David (10/5): - Stayed here multiple times always a nice stay
- Verified traveler (4/5): Meh - We waited for over an hour for the airport shuttle.
They don’t answer their phone.
They are in the middle of getting bought out so their website doesn’t exist. I spent an hour with hotels.com to figure that mess out.
- Guilde (6/5): - Locked up at night like its located in a bad neighborhood. Safe?!!
- Douglas (10/5): - Hotel was under renovation apparently. Ceiling was concrete, light switches were inconveniently located and several electrical outlets were loose and/or not working.
- Hannes (6/5): No airport shuttle was running - Totally disappointed by the airport shuttle as it didn't run in the afternoon (2 pm) and we had to take a taxi to the hotel after waiting40 minutesfor nothing. Their comment was just "normally it is running ".
Beside that the stay was okay
- TONYA (6/5): - The AC did not work, it was hot in that room
- Tekela (10/5): Night before cruise - Stayed for 1 night. They offered ride to port for our cruise for 15 pp. Also free transportation from airpot to hotel. We had a late flight so they didn't answer the phone. So we didn't get the ride. My Taxi was almost 50. They offered breakfast for a charge. Coffee and tea were free. The rooms were boutique style. Small but comfortable. Nothing in walking distance but late night delivery was available. Service came with a smile. Definitely will stay again
- Dakota (10/5): - Very nice and comfortable breakfast is great!
- Ana Carolina (8/5): Regular, but good staff and good location - The staff was friendly and helpful; however, the room wasn't in the best condition. The curtains were broken, the shower box was too short, so the floor got wet, we didn't get room service on the first day, and there was no recycling bin in the entire hotel.
- Demetrius (10/5): - I think the property should have a wash area
- John (8/5): - No bar service available.
- Clemrick (10/5): - Hotel was very welcoming and very updated.
- Tyesha (2/5): - Charged my card twice when room was paid for already
- Lisa (6/5): - The place was nice but for a late check in no one was at the front desk or answered the phone when calling because the doors were locked.
- Shaun (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay
- sojourner (8/5): - The staff was always helpful, the facility was nice.
There was hair in the shower, on the walls and in the sink when we got into our room. I took pictures to show the front desk. But because it was not as soon as i saw it they didn't care. All in all it was a nice stay before our cruise.
- Don (10/5): - The restaurant and bar staff our the best. ☺️😎
- Tony (8/5): - Very reliable
- Jianping (6/5): - The design of the hotel is modern and attractive, but the maintenance and cleanse were not good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Bathroom design was the worst - Not really fan of the industrial style they use. Looks cheaply done tbh. Caught a whiff of chemical smell lingering in the room which was startling the first time entering the room, it gave me headache but then got used to it afterwards.
The bathroom was the worst, the shower glass is only covering less than half of the shower so water splashed out outside the shower, making the floor wet. The water pressure is pretty low, no bathroom fan, after using the shower it's damp everywhere and the mirror fogged up for a long time. There is only one mirror in the unit which is in the bathroom so if you're staying with the family like I did, then you will need to wait for the bathroom to be free just to use the mirror.
The phone in the room doesn't work, had to go down to talk to the front desk.
Parking was free but looks like not enough for everyone sometimes.
- Naveen (2/5): - Terrible maintenance and staff interaction.
- GUTENBERG (8/5): - Hotel very good
- Lisa (6/5): - I like the modern design and my room was very clean. But this place tries so hard to be hip it fails in the basics. I arrived late at night and there was only one other couple ahead of me in line but the one person at the Front Desk took forever while continuously making excuses. The amenities menu on the TV didnt work at all - none of the features (e.g., ability to view hotel offerings, check out) other than watch TV were accessible. When I called the Front Desk for assistance, no one answered the phone. My dining choices were limited to 3 pizza takeout menus slid under my door.
- Haniff (10/5): - Great minimalist hotel
- Keychel (8/5): - Love how close the hotel is to the airport, stayed here before boarding my cruise.
The hotel conditions are good, my only issue is the room can get really warm at night time.
- SANTA (10/5): - Todo
- Gisella (8/5): - Simplicity of room. Clean. I would stay again. I think staff could be more consciousness of noise in hallways. But staff was nice and bar service and food was decent.
- Joan (8/5): - Enjoy our short stay
- anne (6/5): - Shuttle eas more than 30 minute wait. Bed was ckean and comfortable. Funky lighting
- Gheorghe (8/5): - The cleanliness of this property is not the best now compared to how it was 2 years back. It is convenient, quiet, FREE PARKING, amazing customer service for the hotel and the restaurant, food prices are great considering it is in Miami. We just stayed a couple of days so it didn't matter much. Hoping that the property will hire more housekeepers to maintain the hotel. We will consider coming back for the price and people.
- Lavinia (10/5): Shuttle works very well - Nice & modern hotel close to MIA airport.
The shuttle works very well from the airport to hotel and vice versa.
Some toiletries should be add to the room as price is not cheap at all due to its closeness to the airport.
- Genesis (4/5): - My stay this time I was disappointed. I’ve previously stayed here and had no issues whatsoever. But this time around the room was dirty, we had dirty towels, and when it came to the room being cleaned we didn’t get new clean towels nor any other item that had to be replaced. Walking into our room it smelled bad. Not sure if we will stay here again, but if we do hopefully we don’t have to experience this again. But I can say the staff were nice and helped in any way they could.
- Natalia (10/5): - Love this property! Checking in and out was easy, staff were friendly and Room were nice. My only take is that it was kind of difficult to get back into the hotel after midnight and waiting for staff to open the door. And Resturant staff should be more attentive when guest are dinning in. The attention to service lacked a bit but they were still nice.
- Troy (8/5): - .
- EunSun (8/5): - it‘s a very modern hotel. I actually really enjoyed my stay here. The room was bigger than expected and the bar/dining area was a great place to grab something to eat and drink. The only thing I frowned upon was that the hallway was a little dirty and the floor in my room was quite sticky so I didn’t feel comfortable walking around in my room without my shoes on. But overall, great place close to the airport. The airport shuttle was a great plus!
- Melinda Rena (8/5): - I liked the decor of the hotel, very different. What I didn’t like was the inattentive night staff, paper thin walls & people screaming loud in the hallways at night.
