Guest Reviews
- Barrie (8/5): - Wi-Fi poor
- john (6/5): Functional with poor service - Rooms are fine, location is good for Skytrain access but reception staff caused me a lot of hassle.
Train tickets had been sent to the hotel but they made no effort to locate them causing more expense and hassle for me
- Alexander (10/5): - Preis/Leistung sehr gut.
- Vivek (10/5): Good hotel - It’s was overall a pleasant experience..
- globehoppin (8/5): No Sun - Small hotel on sukumvit Rd, close to phra khanong bts. Lots of stuff close by, W market, pub next door, restaurants, bars. Ekamai bus station one stop on bts. Great location for the price, good place to base yourself and sleep. Use the pool next door in Hopeland Hotel but don't plan on sunbathing.
- craig (10/5): - It is a very clean and quiet hotel. Staff knows NO English and just stare at you. Was frustrating!
- Barrie (8/5): - Wi-Fi poor
- Jason (8/5): - Front desk was friendly & helpful. The area around the hotel was lively & everyone was friendly. I enjoyed my stay @ Thaisun hotel. I would recommend this hotel to stay if visiting Bangkok…
- KWOK YUEN (8/5): - Good price, but some ants and the wi-fi is not good & steady.
- Tarricka (10/5): - The only thing that I wish they had was wash clothes everything else is wonderful
- Teresa (8/5): - Nice clean property. About a three star. Housecleaning girl seemed overworked. We almost felt bad asking her to clean our room everyday. We stayed eight days and had her only clean it once. Hotel will charge for any linens that are dirty so beware.
Dessemellan helt ok
- Farshad (2/5): Never Again - Arrived at the hotel at 10 am for a 3-day stay. My plans had changed and I was only going to need 2 nights so the last night was lost which was fine. I asked them if a room was available for early check in. They said yes, BUT, that would cost me 1000 baht. I told them about my changed plans and that they would get a whole night back. However, they sent me away to come back at 2 pm. I’m okay with the policy but the way they communicated that was absolutely unacceptable. They talked amongst themselves for a while and came back with a negative.
Hotel itself is very basic and under no condition a 4-star hotel. The bed was hard as a rock. No pressure in the shower. Noisy A/C. If I have to mention anything positive it would be the location which is pretty close to the BTS, although you either have to take an overpass or cross a very busy street to get to it.
I will never stay here again.
- Miz (6/5): - Was really convenient to get the train and travel.
- Barrie (8/5): - Shower gels very small
• Ignorierter “Do Not Disturb”-Knopf: Trotz aktivierter Funktion kommt das Reinigungspersonal einfach ins Zimmer – absolut respektlos!
Bewertung: 1/5 Sterne
- Wayne (10/5): - Well situated, close to BTS, lots of variety of food in the neighborhood. Busy area, right on the main road Sukhumvit, lots to see and do. Not as touristy as Asok, Nana and Siam areas.
Staff is very helpful and friendly, but English is not great.
Overall I enjoyed the month I stayed there and would stay again if there wasn't thousands of other great areas in Bangkok to stay in. :)
- Larry (8/5): - Good value.
- Riza Mae Joy Garcia (10/5): - Highly recommended.
- Jacek (10/5): - Excellent value for the money
- Joel (6/5): - Don't know why i didnt get my deposit back.
- Matthew Pak Lam (8/5): - Nice property very near the BTS for transport convenience. Size and room was decent.
Only down side was staff at reception was not as responsive and helpful as we would like them to be can definitely improve on this
- Sunshine31651097257 (4/5): Not the greatest Experiance - Located on a very noisy road with the BTS trains running every five minutes outside the window. We had no hot water for our 7 day stay the water was tepid at best. Selection of room conveniences supplied was limited and random day to day the only was the fresh water supplied. The bed was extremely hard. The room safe was not attached to anything. The use of the next hotels pool was hazardous with loose broken tiles in the bottom of the pool and not well maintained. The location of the pool in the courtyard meant little to no sun around the pool. Hotel next door had nice coffee in the lobby and laundry facilities there were no facilities in our own hotel lobby. The spa/steam/sauna was gender specific so we could not use this as a couple. The hotel website stated English was spoken however we struggled to have basic communication with the staff. The area around the hotel had a great outside dinning area in W District and the Irish pup next door was welcoming. If you thinking of booking this hotel it is not up to 4 star standard as advertised and you will have to spend on transportation costs due to the location of the hotel from main entertainment and shopping locations

- Gamze (10/5): - Preis Leistung top
- Nicky (2/5): - Room was in a small size & limited sun spell in the swimming pool area!!
- James (6/5): - It was really close to the BTS station and easy to access public transportation. There was a lot of restaurants around and a laundry mat was close by.
The beds were not that comfortable and the wall between the shower/toilet and the bedrooms were clear glass. It did help that they had a semi see-through curtain you could put down.
- Wai Yan (6/5): - Not a four stars hotel anymore. Staffs are helpful. But the building itself is old, also WiFi works very bad in-room
- Pannarai (6/5): - Dirty hallway, public restroom entrance is inconvenient.
Leaking water in the bathroom. Stuff at front desk is very friendly
- Jacek (10/5): - Value for the money
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cleanliness doen' meet the standard of hotel that - 2 bottle of water for free . No microwave. Wifi is okay. New but not clean, the maid didn't handle the cleaning task meticulously. Stranger circulation for the stairs. The staffs are very helpful.
- Chrishinda Traion (4/5): - I wish I could give this place 4 stars, but I need to honest, because people are spending thier hard earned money for a subpar hotel. DO NOT Believe those 10/10 or 8/10 ratings, its either AI lies, or an algorithm maybe the hotel it's self. The pictures are Very deceiving, staging, I chose this place off the reviews, Expedia needs to do Better as well. This place was not very clean at all, the floor was sticky and nasty in my room, very basic, a bed, a desk, a tv. Think Motel 8. The lobby was ok, but when you go upstairs, it looks like someone sleeps in the hallway. Dirty floor, piles of Dirty linen. I had wipe down everything and you could tell it had not been cleaned. No hot water, the shower water did not drain out , water was left every time I went to shower, most of the TV channels did not come in well, it also smells weird upstairs, loud noises at night, like banging. They also charge a 1000 bhat deposit for a key card, really? The laundry room was worst than one off the streets, I did not dare go to the pool restaurant BTW you can get cheaper food down or across the street. This place does a good job tricking people with o refunds, because I would have surely left after I. Checked in. So of all you need is a bed for 1 night only, ok, but no more than that. The staff was amazing, very kind people all of them. The hotel owner will say, "Thank you for your feed and we will do better, Lies!😢
- Alexander (6/5): Great location, not great room. - Location is great. 4-5 mins walk to BTS. Close to loads of restaurants. Room however wasn’t great. Very worn. Sticky, dirty floors. Hardest bed I’ve ever slept on. Paper thin walls. It doesn’t seem like it’s very well kept up. I wouldn’t stay again.
- Jose (10/5): - Excellent
- Kaushick Kumar (8/5): - Ok
- Ramy (10/5): - Fantastic on Sukhumvit.
- peter (2/5): DOOMED!! Room 299, or all toilets !? - Room 299 was terrible. The toilet plumbing for flushing affluent never worked properly. 1st night /2nd day plumbing techician attempted 2 flush bowl, never succeeded. 3rd night , flushing toilet FILLED affleunt to bowl-rim. EVERY night, had to visit neighboring HopeLand Hotel to use public facilities. Reception frontdesk attempted.2 offer a different room. i said NO, & requested a FULL REFUND FOR remaining 2 NIGHTS. Manager took ONE HOUR to generate a WRITTEN EMAIL, confirming & AGREEING, FUTURE REFUND within 30 DAYS ?? come on ! this is the 21st Century , not communist Russia !! A full investigation of hotel-business practise & customer service would be interesting here !! What are your thoughts , on this matter ? i have 2x VODs, of different nights reflecting toilet incidents..?!!
- Nina (4/5): - near train station which is good and a lot of restaurants. the wifi did not work. the hotel staff told me their wifi is not good at the hotel. i was here for work/business. the lobby is beautiful but the actual units and floors are subpar. the gym is ok but it is not in the same building.
- Patrick M. (10/5): - What I liked best was just about everything. The Hotel is quite nice, it's part of a larger hotel. The staff were extremely nice. The hotel quite clean. It's very close to the BTS (sky train)A very large swimming pool. For the money a very good deal. I really like the place.Very good air conditioners. Just a nice place ! I would be very happy to stay there again !
- ARUN (10/5): - Over all we enjoyed our stay very much.
- Christopher (6/5): Good Hotel for the Price - The hotel is fine. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's an average hotel in a busy area of Bangkok. It met my needs, I was comfortable, and I slept well.
- Revy (4/5): - Cleanliness: Beddings unchanged, flooring is dirty and swimming pool not being maintained.
Issues with connectivity: unable to access the Wi-Fi such inconvenience for business travelers and not able to fix during our 1 week of stay. My opinion you should have it accessible only to hotel guests and not for public use.
Staff doesn't speak English hard to communicate requests. On the other hand, they are very friendly.
Location: BTS is accessible lots of food stalls/restaurants around.
No refund if cancelled even if the issues from the Hotel.
- Mehrdad (2/5): - I am not recommend to any one
- Cianni (8/5): - It was a nice property in a good area. It was clean. But don’t come before 2 they won’t let you check in.
- Michael (8/5): - My first time in Bangkok I stayed at the thaisun hotel
The rates were really good and the hotel was great
But a few things were hot to good
1st no restaurant but you had to go to hopeland to eat
2nd the bathroom wall facing the bedroom side is
Glass which means you can watch everyone taking
A shower or using the toilet
The worse part was my Thai girlfriend told me I should leave the room so she can shower and she said it's really creepy
The best solution I hope you would tint the glass
I don't think I would stay there again
Because of that
- Liz C (10/5): - Hotel was very convenient to the train and shopping. Staff was very helpful and nice. Lots of street food around walking distance. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Tv broadcast was only in Thai. Excellent to spend a few nights and explore Sukhumvit. Highly recommend.
- Aekkarat (8/5): - .
- Calvin (10/5): - Great overall
- Burt (8/5): - Good value for less expensive hotel near BTS station. Plenty of shops and restaurants around right on Sukhumvit road.
- Wuang (10/5): - Extremely valuable for money for a no frills stay. At this value I get to use free gym, jacuzzi (steam room no working) and free hot drinks at their sister hotel which house the gym amenities.
No much cable coverage which I don’t need.
Very reliable and strong wifi w normal Nescafe coffee , creamer n sugar which are enough imo.
Very near Phra Khanong BTS station , exit 4 and walk str8. Crossed a traffic junction n that it the hotel which is beside a pub.
Will definitely be back if price remain.
- Agnes (10/5): - Nice and courteous staff at the front desk. Very helpful parking attendant. They are friendly but quite hard to communicate because of language barrier but overall we’re happy and very satisfied with the service and the location’s accessibility
- Mario (10/5): - Will stay again in future
- Juan (6/5): Very fair - lobby was the only nice part
rooms are dated and stsff was not very helpful
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff and the housekeeping lady are friendly and the bed is firm which I like. Close to the bts station and lots of restaurants around, especially Japanese food. AC takes a while to start but is really cold. Used the gym and sauna and they are good. The public spa bath needs a bit of love and maintenance as I pressed the button but nothing happened.
- Garold (10/5): - First time in Bangkok. Thaisun Bangkok Hotel was located reasonably close to the BTS and also many eating places and markets. The street is very noisy and busy but we did not feel unsafe.
- Maria Rona (10/5): - Good 😊
- May (10/5): - Very convenient location. There are so many shops around the area. 7/11 is just across the street and so many dining options. There are nail salon and hair salon and laundry drop off service just walking distance. 4 min walk to BTS Phrakanong Station, Sukhuvmit line. The hotel is really clean and staffs are very nice. If I’m visiting Bangkok again, I will definitely stay at Thai Sun again.
- Rocky (8/5): - Close to BTS station
- Jessica (10/5): - Very clean and nice open concept bathroom. Easy excess to public transport and walking distance to eateries.
- eugene (8/5): - When i saw some reviews n description said it was very close to bts..not really. Its a 8 min hike but it does have a walk light to cross traffic n traffic does not stop like every where else. This intersection is a double turning lane. They do full acceleration in that turn. Ive got vechiles stop last second about 2 feet b4 hitting me.
Room's floor is a bit dirty my bare feet was black in 10 min of going into the room. Sink gets backed up in 5 seconds.
Bed is hard n hollow.
Tv is all thai channels n no other international channels
People there r really nice and accommodating.
- Kristen (10/5): - We liked this hotel because it was extremely convenient for getting on the railway and there were several places to eat, get a massage, and drink nearby. Also there was a 7/11 across the street. We did not utilize any hotel amenities because we were a little confused on where they were (they are like in the next building over or something), but it wasn’t a big deal because we were always gone during the day.
- Carol (10/5): - Not much from the street but beautiful inside. Rooms were fine but nothing special. Bed was comfortable. Great for the price.
- BRIAN (10/5): - We loved our stay at this place. Only two blocks from the BTS station and from there you can go everywhere. Lots of massage parlors and street food shops. I highly recommend it.
- Amitabha (10/5): - Very clean
- John (8/5): - Staff very helpful. The room was good but small. Some improvement to tiny details could be made such as a ledge in shower to put soap etc rather than on floor, a mirror at desk area for use of hairdryer/make up etc.
- Charlie (8/5): - Over all are decent with the rates, except one thing would like to mention some how need to improve sound insulation because you can hear neighbors or above talking or closing doors.
- Iris (6/5): - I was requested to pay for the 4 night stay for 2 rooms in cash only when we arrive, as well as $1000 cash deposit after I paid for the stay. And was told will get the receipt the next morning but I insisted to get the receipt right after we paid.
- joshua (10/5): - Would recommend!
- Gabriela (10/5): - Good location, close to reach any area within 30 min drive - and that's close!!
- Evles (2/5): - The place was very unclean it was very disappointing to even stay there, i thought it would be nice & clean. The sink , shower & toilet area was despicable the towels has soils on them. It was dusted/clean for weeks! Everything felt grimmy i did speak to staff member. I only stayed for 1 night. I would never go back. The worst experience in all of the hotels ive been too.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good choice considering USD$2X per night - Pros: 5 mins walk from BTS Phra Khanong. 3 mins walk from W market with night food and bars and live band. Outdoor pool shared with hotel next door. Rooms are clean considering the price per night. Air con high quality. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Cons: Hopeless water pressure when showering at night. Wifi unstable and slow.
- Christian (8/5): - A bit further from the city area and very quiet, but easily accessible with a short journey on the monorail. Very comfortable but no buffet breakfast.
- stuart (10/5): - The Thaisun hotel itself is very good and well situated for BTS skytrain.
However it is unfortunately quite noisey as right next to skytrain and Sukhumvit rd.
If you have a room facing the road and skytrain you will have differculty sleeping. We were used to noise so not much of an issue for us. The floor we were on had problems with the water so we were moved to another room at the rear of the hotel and immediately noticed the quietness.
- Jacky (8/5): - Very clean property and great location, however rooms facing the street are very noisy, If you have a light sleeper, you'll be in trouble :).
- Luis Armando Navarro (10/5): - Great place to stay with great sorroundings
- 146isabellah (10/5): Nice place to be for a city-vacation! - The hotel was in perfect walking distance to shops such as 7 eleven, and SkyTrain. The room was nice and comfortable - however did the bathroom have a glass wall 🙈 The personnel was very helpful and friendly, and the reception was staffed 24/7!
The pool was nice and there was also a laundry option!
- Shannon (8/5): - Only negative would be the beds were way too hard and stiff. Same as sleeping on floor with a yoga mat.
- Tran (10/5): - This hotel very close to sky train but street foods not much around here
- stuart (8/5): - Very close to BTS so easy to get around.
Lots of food stalls in area.
- Kathryn (10/5): - The staff were amazingly helpful, very nice people, good customer service !! Overall, I love my stay there. Will come back if given an opportunity.
- Kenel (10/5): - It was pretty convenient, it's close to all the places i wanted to explore
- Palakorn (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay staff are pleasant and friendly
- Mr (10/5): - Good place
- Stacy (10/5): - It’s convenient and of great value if you can book a good deal. It’s a nice property, it’s a residence-hotel type service.
- Franco (8/5): - Very kind and helpful staff.
The only weird thing is that the bathroom does not have a wall separating it from the bedroom, but a glass wall with a blind.
If the light is on in the bathroom, it is totally visible from the bedroom. Bizarre lack of privacy.
- Dimitry (6/5): - Staff were rude and were on the phone rather than customer service.
- Michael D (10/5): Great hotel for the money - Great hotel for the money paid.
Clean rooms, updated with new linens.
Excellent location close to BTS
- Oswald A. (10/5): Excepcional! - Good hotel, great location. Friendly staff, clean room with all the amenities, nice clean bathroom with all the toiletries.
Hotel located near train station ( sky train ), and lots of restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location - We stayed here one night, and it was a perfect location for an expedited stay. It's in a busy (but not crazy) part of sukhumvit. Cool shops, pubs, and restaurants nearby.
The hotel itself is a little weird...the foyer is beautiful, but that luxury is superficial in the rooms. The bed was hard, ceiling looked like it could use some TLC, bathroom could use a deeper cleaning, and the small window felt very confining.
The BTS is nearby. Yes, you can hear it rumble, but it's really not the loudest noise when you're already in Bangkok.
The swimming pool and restaurant are actually part of the neighbouring hotel, so it felt a little strange to make your way across.
We paid $47 cdn a night, which I thought was well worth it for the ability to exit into a busy part of town, but it would be hard for me to get comfortable there for longer than a couple nights.
- LJUDMIL (10/5): - Would recommend to anyone close to everything
