Guest Reviews
- 87talaty (2/5): Worst spa experience ever - I recently visited this hotel for spa and was extremely disappointed. The facilities are outdated and poorly maintained, which made the experience uncomfortable. The massage was awful – not relaxing at all.
Therapist lady cannot make any massage. After a short time, she will ask you if you want any extra service and will hand you her iban number for the tip. She is also disrespectful.
I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality spa experience.
- motheroftwins2016 (2/5): DONT EVER COME HERE - You would not be able to take a chunk out of these pillows. They could hold up a tower block. The reception staff do not speak any language except for Arabic/Turkish. That ain't good for an international hotel. Breakfast is normal for the Turks but it is no way a 5 star hotel. We came for surgery, can not complain about the translators or the companies or hospitals that looked after us. The first room we had was what the English call “Dank and Frowsie”. Not to Mothers standard at all. I sent my son to go buy some “Cillit Bang” mould blaster. Which is brilliant. The maids are not very clean and you cant blame them as they probably get paid an abysmal amount of wages. Under the cupboards in the first bathroom I thought I would store my hair dryer, make up etc….not on your F……..Nelly. Disgusting. In the morning I told the reception that I would be moving rooms please and showed them the photos. Where upon the receptionist looked at the photos and called his boss to get confirmation. Having said that he showed me 3 other rooms 2 of which were MANKIE like the .first one. I told my @dviser that i wanted a 5 star hotel like the Hilton or Radisson even better, as one gets the service. I was very happy to pay extra for the upgrade. Not this crud. I have now been waiting for room service for over 4 hours and have phoned 3 times. I am a very calm person on top but really I am seething. So we have decided to check into a far far better hotel tomorrow. DONT EVER COME HERE.
- Kouday (8/5): - It was a safe place to be in and the breakfast was very good
- Sahib (10/5): - Good for families, has a nice garden to spend an evening.
- Peter (2/5): - Could smell the smoke inside my room throughout my whole visit. Staff are nosy and don’t mind taking photos of the guests as they’re having their breakfast (Happened with me). Requested some ice to my room and had to pay for it. Top that with the fact that no one is able to speak English. Terrible experience that I won’t be repeating for sure!
- Kambiz (4/5): - The property is very old
- KAYA (6/5): - Hotel needs a major renovation. Very good staff. But no refrigerator in the room. Floor and bathroom needs repair. Decent food.
- Kasim (10/5): - Receptionists and other employees were so kind and helpful, rooms were clean, breakfast buffet was really good and delicious, gym was clean and they have lots of equipment, they also have free underground parking.
Affordable prices and great services in the very good location.
- Rajia (10/5): - 👍
- C5557EPdavidl (2/5): Dirty and Dishonest. Stay Away - 1 out of 5! I would give it 0 if I could.
The worst hotel I have ever been. So filthy. The entire room smells cigarettes and I'm a nonsmoker. I asked the front desk for another room and was told that there's no other rooms. They are dirty and would not hesitate to lie.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!!
- mohammed (8/5): - I know that the hotel is quite old, but I was surprised that it has been completely renovated. The hotel is, in short, wonderful
- Ahmed (2/5): - Bad
- Dr. Samir (4/5): - Fake front picture. it`s written 5 stars, it`s not even one star, and very expensve for the tybe of this hotel.
- Corc (4/5): - .:
- Anas (2/5): - Dirty room, full of smoke coming from other rooms. The area around the hotel is rough. Every night the police will show up in the middle of the night to catch or control a drunk messy person. Parking entrance is awful. Bathroom is small and the shower is damaged.
Awful stay, does not deserve one star!
- kleandb (2/5): The worst hotel that you can find . - Very dirty hotel
Food was discussing
The staff was no friendly .
They don’t clean the rooms , they don’t care how are you or how you feel about the situation.
When you speak with them and explain what is happening they act like they don’t understand.
- ABDULRAHMAN (10/5): Perfect - Every thing
- AHMED (10/5): - staff people cleaning the room every body place etc
- AHMED (8/5): - Everything is good to very good clean quiet spacious kindness from staff. But two should be watched and reviewed by the management team: they must remind people to not smoke through room windows. Second, air conditioning should not be lowered between 10 am and 2 pm. Especially in common area. I will rate this hotel 8.75 out of 10. I will vome back again in overall it is a good nice hotel to stay.
AY from room 501
- Khaled (10/5): - My family and I spent 8 nights there. We’re very satisfied and everything went well. I highly recommend Green Park Hotel.
- Hasan (8/5): I did not feel that I am in the five stars hotel - First of all the hotel needs some renovation.
Second of all spa is out of services, jacozi is spoiled and you have to pay 50 tl it seems for hair cap before entering the swimming pool in spite of being free.
I requested attached rooms since we are family they gave two rooms of single beds,
Breakfast buffet was very good
- Samara (2/5): - All room was dirty. Bathroom broken!!!
- Anas (8/5): - Nice clean
- zahrak835 (10/5): Happy customer - Staff friendly and always helpful...room very clean
Just the smoke but guess it's everywhere in Turkey
I was on a business trip so was out most of the day but I would use this hotel...very close to metro station.i felt very safe when coming home at night.
- Mohammed (10/5): - It was amazing and helpful
- Flyer68411993245 (2/5): Travel to İstanbul - It was very dirty and did not had good service. The hotel staff was very rude and treated the customer very badly. The worst part of my trip to Turkey was being in this hotel. Although I had not read the references, unfortunately. Its services are not like a normal hotel, let alone five stars. Breakfast was plentiful and the vegetables were unripe and crunchy that could not be eaten at all. We could not come out because we had paid the money on the first day. Otherwise, we could not be there. We went out for breakfast and ate outside of the hotel. I will never 👎 be to this hotel.
- EL ZEIN (10/5): Very Comfortable Hotel - Hotel is comfortable from all perspectives especially cleanliness. I advise guests to get a chance to try this beautiful hotel.
- Yasir (2/5): Scammers - There were everything so bad .. shower not working, Rude staff, room was nit comfortable. Smells bad .. sauna ,steam ,swimming times was early to close .. No recommend for others to regret later as I do now …. Have to pay for all these things which was so expensive. Take advantage if you go from Europe or England … mini bar was expensive ..
- mohamed (4/5): Bad hotel - The room was not clean
Bad smell in the bathroom
Bed sheet was dirty
Too old hotel need renovation
- Awil (10/5): VERY NICE AND SIUTABLE HOTEL - The hotel is very clean and has very comfortable rooms, located a very good enviroment locaton, near or close to local and beautiful mosque, is al near very nice park for a walk and enjoy it the breakfast is supper and there are some hotel staff who speaks very well English which you have a very good conversation about your needs
- Jvaireya (2/5): - Awful receptionist
Very unhelpful
Shabby bedroom
Horrible smell from bathroom
- Jvaireya (2/5): - Terrible property
Very misleading
Definitely not 5 star
Adil ustundag needs to address the multiple issues in the hotel.
Rude staff
No working AC
Unkempt rooms
- Shahzeb (2/5): - They put me and my small baby in a smoker room. She coughed very bad all night. They also turned ac at hot temperatures at night off. The ac was giving out only hot air. When we complained they said open the window. My child got bitten badly by insects.
Pure horror stay away at all costs.
- Glessie (10/5): - The hotel is just a bit old but its still in good condition, spacious room, excellent service. The unforgettable experience was the Turkish Bath. I was in Turkey many times and I could definitely say they gave us the best Hamman experience ever fora reasonable price. We would recommend it to our friends and relatives and I would definitely book an appointment again there when I return to Turkey again.
- Lina (2/5): Worse hotel ever - I paid big amount of money, no breakfast and there is no spa and Souna available they say because of Covid
- Chuck (2/5): Bad hotel - A/C is dosent work.manager everyday lie to me.he said A/C is fixed.but dosent
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I don't recommend this place to anyone, The mold was all over the place , fridge, Windows , bathrooms
- Onur (2/5): - Terribble hotel they dont have good custom services
- Hala (10/5): -
1- The reception staff and bell boys are very helpful and do a great job, I got another room which was good . The breakfast was a continental because of corona virus. The hotel not a new hotel but clean.
- Hala (8/5): Good stay kind staff - Good location near tram station, kind people in the reception and the breakfast but poor breakfast because of the corona not buffet for tourists its far from attractive sites of Istanbul if you have a car its Ok . It worth the money we paid its not expensive. It’s considered 5 star hotel actually It’s not more than 3
- Verified traveler (2/5): Air-conditioning doesn’t work, key card problem - This is not a 5 star . I don’t know how they got five stars? Their air condition is very old , door key card you have to recharge every day and wait in the reception queue for 15 or 20 minutes , wi-Fi in the room works some times.
The air-conditioning doesn’t work is is very old and outdated and the staff are good at lying about this ! This is very bad business practice .
The key card has really bad problem the system is outdated and old, if you’re staying there for more than one day you still have to go every day at the reception to get your key card reactivated this could take between 5 to 20 minutes depending on how many people are waiting in front of you reception only has one person working there.
Sure this hotel was better like built like a five star but now it’s run down I would blame the management and maintenance , Everything is outdated . If you want to have a good nights sleep stay away from this place .
The Wi-Fi only works in certain spots in the room. You would expect five-star hotel to provide you with Wi-Fi and basic air-conditioning this is not a five star I don’t know how they managed to get five stars
if you go to any hotel in Istanbul you should get air-conditioning and Wi-Fi. It’s 2020 this Hotels are still living at 1960
And the wallpaper peeling off you can see some photos
- Muhammed huzaifa (8/5): - It was ok overall stay, staff can be rude
- Thetraveller20001 (2/5): Under average quality and terrible service - I visited Merter for my business meetings. I have stayed in JULY 2020. Middle of the summer, above 35C heat outside. Checked in, front desk staff informed me about the hotel. Everything around looked normal for Covid 19 period. I paid CASH for 3 nights.
When I came in to my room, it felt too hot. I called front desk to ask why its too hot. They said they do NOT turn the AC on due to Covid 19 regulations !!!
Excuse me... middle of the summer. NO AC in the rooms... then why you did not inform me at the check in???
I spoke to front desk manager Furkan. He said none of the hotels, restaurants in the country can turn the AC on.
I called 4 hotels in the area. ALL of them have AC working. I went to 2 different restaurants in the area. They have AC working. Obviously manager lied. Or he just wanted to get away with a lie.
I went to Mercure hotel in Bakirkoy. 4 star hotel. They said YES, there is a regulation but IF hotels do change their filters periodically they can turn the AC on.
Greenpark is not willing to spend any money for guests. Clearly.
This is not front desk manager`s fault. Hotel owners and Hotel General Manager SHOULD do something about it. I have stayed in the room for 3 days in heat. Imagine I have to work from the room. Rooms are extremely HOT. No AC.
Why? Because Greenpark doesnt want to spend money for guests `comfort.
They say they care about customers health.
Pure lie.
I went to GYM. People are working out half naked. Sweaty body sitting on those machines. How come they would allow all these people stay in one room, workout half naked THEN tell me they care about guests` health?
Check the images. How terrible rooms are. RIPPED sheets? Small sheet for double bed. It means my feet is touching the same part of the bed, with former guest. Absolutely insane. NOT clean at all. Because thesheet doesnt cover the whole bed.
IF they care about my health, dont you think they should use proper bed sheets?
Bottom of the bathroom shower cabinet was broken. I informed front desk, they fixed it. 2 hours after, it was misplaced again. Housekeeping cleaned the room. They did not leave ANY towel, no soap. I picked it up from the front desk. From desk agent Gamze.
Overall... as you see. They say they care about guests. But thats not true. Since they have limited occupancy, dont you think they should try to make guests happy, inform them PROPERLY, give your BEST housekeeping service... NOPE.
Why... Because... lack of management. Ownership and hotel manager should catch these things. Dont tell me goverment doesnt allow you to use AC. When others are using it. OR at least INFORM us during the check in so we know.
I will never ever stay at this hotel again. I did not write all this to hurt their business. Just to get their attention to this matter. If you are going to be in this business. DO IT WELL or dont do it. This is not your play ground.
- Scott (6/5): - Great local place
Great facilities
Staff at front desk impeccable and great
Manager is an ass
Server at buffet is an ass
The front desk and lobby staff are perfect and helpful
- Nicole (8/5): - Beautiful
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Its very nice for the price i pay very nice hotel
- Mariozavood (8/5): Good breakfast, clean rooms - We were given two rooms free of charge by Turkish Airlines because of a 20-hour connection. The hotel is about a 45-minute ride from the new Istanbul Airport.
The check-in staff was quick and efficient, but could have been friendlier.
The rooms (second floor, no smoking floor) were clean and comfortable. The safe in my room unfortunately did not work. Beds were comfortable. The shower had good water pressure and was a real treat after our 15-hour flight!
We were given dinner and breakfast. Dinner was acceptable, with a salad and a chicken fillet. The chicken was a bit too dry. This was a bit past closing time, though: it might have been better earlier.
Breakfast was very good and varied, of a self-serve buffet type. They had a cook who would make guests an omelette right in front of their eyes.
A tram line stop is located 100 m from the entrance. You can quickly, cheaply and easily get into downtown using it.
All in all, the stay was a quite pleasant experience. I don’t know how much they usually charge and cannot therefore say whether it is good quality for the price: as I stated, we stayed free of charge.
- nadia (8/5): - Only one problem, no iron in the room . I even asked them if I can get one but they don’t have any which is kind of annoying. But overall a clean , comfortable place and a good location.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Wasn’t good
I will never stay there again
- mohammad1006 (6/5): Average hotel - My family and I stayed at this hotel last summer. The breakfast was good but not in the size of a five-star hotel. location is far from the city center but close to the tram station. staff wasn't polite.
- Hisham (8/5): - Good place
- JeffMedeiros01 (2/5): Old and dirty. Click on another property. This place is WAY past its prime. Time for a major renovation. - STAY AWAY ! I was put into this almost uninhabitable place by Turkish Airlines as the overnight accomodation after getting bumped from a flight. They told me it would be a 4-5 star hotel. What a joke. This place is like a motel on the side of a highway in the middle of no-where in the USA. The room was old and run down, smelled like a toilet, looked out into the neighborhood street (nothing against neighborhood streets...but that's not what you look for in a 'resort' or 4-5 star hotel) and the safe had wires hanging from the knob...needless to say, it didn't work. If that wasn't bad enough, I called down to say my room was inhabitable, and the front desk clerk - Sefer Solak - said I was in the ONLY room available and I'd have to stay there. I asked for his supervisor or the manager...and...get this....he said there was no manager or supervisor and if there was...there still wasn't another room for me. Undeterred, I went down and found the night manager and was able to get a new room. It was similar...very warn...but at least it didn't smell like a toilet and the safe worked. This heap of a hotel is on the tail end of its useful life. And for people who know the hotel business...this is when they make their profit. I called Turkish Airlines and told them if they keep sending people to this flea-bag of a hotel...they're just ruining their own brand image (which I, until this experience, found rather sparkling). On a happy note...the guys in the garden bar and grill were nice.
- Abelwahab (2/5): - Very bad hotel noisy enter rooms without permission I left after 2days they refused to return
Back the balance 6 days
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel is beautiful especially its garden , also the turkish bath is amazing .
- janete289 (2/5): Bad acomodation - Really not welcome lady on the reception. I call on the airport to know how much will cost the early check in they told me one price and when I get there she give to me a expensive price than they give to me on the phone... after that the service that she give to us was 0. I have been in 5 hotels on my turky holidays and just this one was rubbish... the sucks was rotten
On top of the towel they have 2 small shampoo container from the other guest when I get the towel almost fall on my head.
- Nicole (2/5): - Really not welcome lady on the reception. I call on the airport to know how much will cost the early check in they told me one price and when I get there she give to me a expensive price than they give to me on the phone... after that the service that she give to us was 0. I have been in 5 hotels on my turky holidays and just this one was rubbish
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It had pleasure during the stay there, I liked it, everything was clean perfect and on time, the stuff was very friendly and respectful.
The location was great, hotel had a big backyard garden, was so beautiful.
The intercontinental breakfast buffet was full of tasty foods.
thanks a lot to
- sarahvosoghi (2/5): if you expect a 1 star hotel then it will be fine but as a 5 star hotel don't make a mistake like us. - we have been there for 6 days. the heating was broke and they couldn't fix it at all. bad smell of burned food many days in your room. although the breakfast , near metro bus station and the green space in the yard was Ok, it wouldn't worth your money.
- jadeh379 (4/5): One night is enough - Pros:
Pretty building and landscaping. The manager switched our rooms after I complained about not being able to share a bed with my husband (we have different last names so I’m guessing they assumed we needed separate beds). The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is nice and the hotel is clean.
Cons:
The hotel room REEKED of cigarette smoke! They only give you one free water- regardless of room occupancy, the breakfast buffet was horrendous! There isn’t a way to make local calls. The front desk does not speak the best English.
- Ayman (8/5): Nice hotel with good service . Good clean - Everything it’s fine
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Comfortable stay
- Kojiro (10/5): enough convinience! - they are helpful at all.whatever l needed they try to do something they can do.
my favorite part is welnes area,it too big and very much enough of it.
also pretty garden is there!
around the hotel, has supermarket and good kebab stand. l use many times!!
- cliver243 (8/5): An excellent place to stay in West Istanbul - Everything was perfect - as usual. The price, the welcome at the reception desk, room service, the restaurant. For those who are going to Istanbul fo the first time this hotel is a great starting place. Superbly situated and connected and value for money that you cannot beat with a stick. Old-fashioned value for money. Look no further ...
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good . Need Renovation of furniture in the rooms with my regards
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was wonderfull thank you expedia for the facility you have arranged for us
- Verified traveler (8/5): - All was ok, but the rooms start to be in old conditions including bathroom
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Very bed hotel very bed hotel very bed hotel very bed hotel
- Adam (6/5): it was sufficient - had a long layover between flights and selected this hotel for an overnight stay. it was sufficient
- hohygen (8/5): Luck in unluck - Our Turkish Airlines flight from Dhaka was severely delayed, so Turkish had to put us up in a hotel for the night. The check-in at Green Park felt a bit messy in the start, but a structure soon emerged. The rest of the service was good. The room was spacious and clean. The dinner had good quality. All in all did I have a good night in a town I didn't plan to visit.
- alirezah749 (2/5): Five star but very low quality - Don’t come here.
That’s a bed (see picture)for 65$ pay for a night.you should come back with backache.
No scale for weighting baggage.
Cleanness was terrible.
I don’t recommend to any one.
Don’t waste your life here.
- abdulbaseta2017 (2/5): Terrible Hotel, terrible employees - I have been to old furnished hotels before, but this hotel beats them all of the bad service and the bad attitude of it is employees at the front desk.
I wanted to book a room on phone and they claim there was no available room except the suit which I negotiated its price at phone and we agreed at 200 USD when I arrived they claimed that the price discussed was 220 Euro not 200 USD and the attitude of the person at the front disc as if am asking to sleep over for free.
when I go to my room, I was surprised that I was able to book a regular room for the same day on not one but several websites for less than 50 Euro and when I confronted them, they were laughing and careless.
Bad experience, I will never do it again or recommend it to anyone else as long as they are not going to at least refund half of what I paid.
- 405mahsas (2/5): Awful Hotel - that's the worst experience i ever had.
They have rudest staff and irresponsible reception and managers.
no housekeeping and cleaning room at all.
stupid laundry. i gave them black trousers they returned me brown!!! They didn't know how should wash the clothes and the worst thing is they didn't even apologize to me!!!!
i was complaining all the time for everything and recieved nothing.
Don't waste your money for this hotel!
- Mohammed (10/5): Great for family or individuals - Very nice good breakfast quite place next to train station going to airport or central Istanbul
- Blitz (2/5): - The hotel should be given 2 stars at most, the AC wasn't working in mid August, the staff are less than friendly and the hotel manager was the least person who ever cared about your comfort. Very bad experience and whom ever gave it 5 starts was very wrong.
Management should be changed
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good Metro Links to Town and Airport and tourist sites
- Kaya (6/5): - Need renovation
- N (6/5): - the hotel is a good place becouse its very near from the airport and there was a lot of disturbance
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - I especially liked the fitness center which is pretty large
- Ibrahim (10/5): - It's not a five star hotel as it was posted.however, there service was good, breakfast was fantastic, location was great.few mnts walking to a nice mall,,,back door is near the train station,,few feet away, employees were very friendly.I would go back again.
Rates were very reasonable
- Simon (6/5): Not as good as before - Glasses in the bathroom were not clean.
Stayed there before and t this time wasn't as good as previously. Check in guy was a but unfriendly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Old but reasonable hotel - It is an old hotel. Breakfast was good. Near the tram station. Conviniently accessible.
- Farrukh (2/5): Not recommendable hotel - This hotel does not deserve a 5 star rating. Building and interior is 25-30 years old. Lamps and AC not working. Unfriendly staff, comminication in english difficult, we were told of breamfast time 7-11 but it was actuallg 7-10 and we missed first days breakfast. Housekeeping to staffs conditions, if you are in room then no cleaning of room. Rooms and bathroom dirty. In fact we had better standard and service in a 3-star hotel in Çeşme (Izmir)
- Verified traveler (2/5): Nice hotel. Bad staff, never smile and helpless. - All nights that i stayed at this hotel my room was never cleaned up by the staff. When i booked this hotel it was showing that their is air condition in it but it was just heat.
- Geri (4/5): disappointed - check in and check out staff was not friendly, did not acknowledge me and was multitasking with other guest after me. I had to ask if I was done checking in and checking out since there was no acknowledgment.
the only person who really helped me was the staff who brought me up to my room
hotel restaurant food was not good. did not enjoy dinner, food had no taste. breakfast included and it was ok.
- Mag (4/5): this hotel was very dirty - this hotel was very very dirty, they didn't come to clean the room daily, they used paper cup instead glass one so I can not accept this matter for 5 star hotel and even when I complain they didn't do any reaction.
