- Melinda (2/5): - The property was under a major reconstruction when we checked in over 1/2 the resort was blocked off. The noise of the jack hammers and saws all day long was terrible. Everyone had a headache every day and was not able to relax, then at night they run power washers cleaning the new tiles so you could hear that machine running till early morning hours. I called and questioned the construction as nowhere did it say there was construction and was asked to move to their sister hotel. I was told they would get back with me within 72 hours. 5 days later and I still never heard back from them.

- Sofiya (6/5): - Rooms were clean, we traveled with a group. Some complained that their neighbors were very loud. Our room smelled like sewage each and every day, likely from the shower drain. Lots of seaweed during September month, they tried their best cleaning it up. No champagne (for club members only, but they did serve red label. The food was mostly the same each day, we are not picky eaters but more variety was preferred. Maid service was great for us, some company complained that their sheets weren’t changed as frequently as they were supposed to be (every other day expectation). The fridge was not restocked regularly. Water bottles provided in the room but not restocked, mist use water dispenser in the hallway to refill. Many were too cold in the room, our temps were fine. Shows were great, restaurant food was great for the most part. Staff was great.

- Daniel Joseph (8/5): - The GR Solaris did not disappoint. Home away from home which was immediately clear when we arrived at the resort and were greeted “Welcome home”. We had a quick and easy check in. Check in is 3pm but our room was ready upon arrival at 1pm. We grabbed a drink from the lobby bar and headed up. Within minutes our luggage arrived and we were asked if there was anything we needed. The room was very clean and the mini bar was stocked. Since this time of year is considered ’slow season’, there were several major renovations taking place but that did not stop the entertainment staff from ensuring a fun time. Two of the three pools were completed renovated and the third was almost complete. The Don Gus restaurant between the pools was also newly renovated. We enjoyed quick and friendly service throughout the resort, bars and restaurants. Some notable staff include Yzrael, Vermon, Neftali and Marco to name a few. The Spa massage is a definite must. This was not our first time at the GR Solaris and we will definitely be back but there were a few things that were very disappointing. The bathroom was clean but the shower water pressure was low. The toilet was not working properly, the sink didn’t turn off and the shower door was missing the handle. I was able to fix the toilet, a minor adjustment inside the tank but we required service for the other items. The faucet was repaired and a temporary handle was installed on the shower door but no luck with the shower water pressure.

- Sandra (2/5): - I wanted to share feedback regarding my recent stay at your property, as it was unfortunately very disappointing. There was no indication prior to booking that the main pool would be under construction and unusable, which was one of the main amenities I was looking forward to. Additionally, my room was located directly next to an active construction site. Large areas of the property were blocked off with caution tape, creating an unpleasant and disruptive environment throughout my stay. To make matters worse, the hot tub was far from hot, and despite multiple attempts to speak with staff about the issue, it was never addressed. I also received a notice about the ongoing construction on the last day of my stay — had I been informed beforehand, I would have chosen to book elsewhere. I do want to note that the front desk staff were the only positive part of my experience. They were courteous, helpful, and professional throughout my stay. Unfortunately, their efforts were overshadowed by the overall conditions and lack of transparency regarding the property’s construction. We spent a significant amount of money on this trip, and it is only fair that guests are made aware of any major construction plans or closures at the time of booking. When guests make reservations, we rely on the photos and reviews provided to make informed decisions, and the conditions I experienced did not align with those expectations.

- Manuel (4/5): - The resort was under major construction when we arrived and there was no notice or ad advisory that this resort was under construction during my booking. Upon arrival, the pools were closed due to construction. The sound of construction pierced my ears from the time I woke up until mid evening with them working I couldn’t even enjoy my balcony with the ocean. Sounds because all you heard was drilling the food options were limited, and the best food came from room service, which had a fee and was not included in the all-inclusive package. The staff was not accommodating even with the construction going on. They wanted to charge me an extra $300 for a room upgrade after they messed up my reservation and gave me double beds instead of a king bed. The spa services are horrible. The drinks were not good and the lobby had such a strong perfume smell that gave me a headache every single time I walk through the lobby. This was probably the worst resort I’ve ever stayed at in Cancun.

Had to endure the construction noise for my whole stay, kids pool, and one of the adults pull is closed. Had a room next to me play LOUD music at 11pm and the hotel staff said that they couldn’t do anything about it, and wouldn’t change my room. Food was ok, but boring.
- Michael (6/5): - Staff are very friendly. The checkin staff are a little lacking. They seem bothered when asked questions im sure they are asked all the time. The quality of the food is not good. Im not sure if this is the hotel or Cancun in general. None of the food we ate in or out of the hotel was very good. The coffee is not good which is a bummer. It tastes like instant coffee The hotel needs a major upgrade. It is dated and in of a refresh. Lots if cracked flooring, stains on the walls and ceilings, windows are dirty on the 6th floor. Smells like mild or mildew throughout the hotel. The nightly shows were the best part if the stay.

One pool was closed so there was only two pools to swim in.. but worse of all, they had a wall put up (to block the construction area) so you couldn’t even see the ocean from the outside area! The hot tub was murky. They close the pool at 7pm!!! Who doesn’t want to swim after 7pm??? There was so much sargassum on the beach, you had to walk over a giant pile of it to get into the ocean water. The toilet in our room didn’t flush right. And to top it off, the smoke alarm went off at 2am. I will not be staying here again and will not recommend to any of my friends or family. We drive around and there were soooo many better hotels to stay at! Do not choose GR Solaris!

- Richard (10/5): - The hotel wasn't too busy but was great in all aspects, the pools were adequately cleaned and the food and drink service was delivered to a great standard. I would suggest putting out hash browns more often at breakfast if available to you. The lady at the egg station was fantastic!

- CLAUDIA (8/5): - We recently celebrated our 15th anniversary at GR Solaris Cancun & Spa - All Inclusive, and while the resort had its perks, we felt that the activities were somewhat limited compared to other all-inclusive resorts we've stayed at. However, the staff was generally friendly and helpful. One issue we encountered was with housekeeping not changing our sheets, but after bringing it to the front desk's attention, they promptly sent someone to assist. Overall, it was great, but we might consider their sister adult-only property for our future trips they had more varied activities. P.S the food was very good 4/5 stars

- Wai (6/5): - Very nice live show everyday. Alcohol only 11am-11pm. Room card doesn’t work for me 4 times during the stay for 5 days. kid club and kid area both remodeling during my stay. the asian restaurant was also close for the whole time during my stay.

The food was basically the same every night would be nice to see other items on the buffet. Didn't like how the lady in guest services on Saturday the 13th was trying to pick up on my boyfriend very unprofessional. The construction was very loud but over all it was nice
- Lucy (8/5): - It's a beautiful place. Except the pool bar closed at 6pm. The towel location closed at 530pm, so you have to get towels in the front desk. If the front desk is doing check ins, you have to wait awhile for a towel.

- Laura Gonzalez (8/5): - There was construction going in one of the areas of the hotel which caused certain areas to be closed such as one of the three restaurants. The bathroom water supply was also low due to construction and one morning we had no water at all.
- Evan (10/5): - We loved our stay at GR Solaris Cancun! The food, including all the buffet options, was some of the best I've had even compared to cruises. The staff was friendly, learned our names, and went above and beyond. I especially want to give credit to Marco (pool activity coordinator) and Irving (buffet server). We will definitely return.
- Tanya (6/5): - The property is pretty but on smaller side. The staff were overall great. Very accommodating and helpful in navigating the city when needed. The food options missed the mark and was disappointing overall. Our last night was super loud lots of slamming and banging noises throughout the night.

- Jeanette (8/5): - I don’t like the check in took too long and most of the hotel front receptionists don’t speak English and they tried to serve a few customers at the same time . The servers at the Buffett are very nice, friendly and efficient. I have a group of 12 people we love to tip them for their efficiency. They are very thankful and grateful to us too . Pool is nice . Spa is good too . When we were there from 9/8 to 9/12 only 3 restaurants were open. Marco Polo restaurant served the same menus every night . The best restaurant is Mexican restaurant by the beach . I would love to give compliments to one waiter , his name is Erving. Always cheerful and helpful !
