Guest Reviews
- Mario (8/5): - Very good location. Walkable distance to main attractions.
- Daniel (10/5): - Just off a busy major street. Trams, buses, and shopping center (including an Albert supermarket) just a block away, as well as fast food options.
The room was clean, modern, and perfect for a short stay. Shower was excellent, bed was extra firm. A/C and a window that opens. Would definitely stay there again.
- Oleksandr (10/5): - Nice place, close to shopping mall, close to metro Andel
- georgina (10/5): - Close to trams and metro. Large shopping center as well.
Reception staff very helpful.
- Keith Scott (10/5): - Hotel well situated for trams and metro well worth the cost we payed for 72 hour travel passes
Transportation from airport to hotel superb
Room adequate for our needs
Breakfast was plentiful and tasty
Staff were brilliant in all aspects nothing was a problem 5 star well recommended
- georgina (10/5): - Convenient, close to public transportation and shopping.
- Oleksandr (10/5): - Staff/service is nice. Property comfortable, with daily cleaning
- Shawn (10/5): Comfy - Very comfortable bed and good basic room and a good size too, a good low cost option!
- Jason (10/5): - Nice room for the price, quiet when there wasn't road construction. *heh*
Would absolutely stay again.
- Günes (10/5): - Thanks for everyone
- Gil (6/5): - It says this is a 3 start hotel but it felt more like a 2 star hotel. The room was very small and basic. When you open the shower door, it hits the toilet, that's how small the bathroom is. The mattress/bedding kept sliding off the bed because it wasn't a normal mattress, they put a thin mattress on top of the bed frame, and the pillows were super soft and mushy providing no support. I had a rental car and I paid to park across the street. Parking access at the hotel was challenging and also expensive. Breakfast is not included with the room price. Positive notes: 3 minutes walk to a massive mall with anything you need including groceries, it was pretty quiet in the room. Front desk staff were friendly.
- Yanick (6/5): - Old and small rooms. But clean and convenient for 1 or 2 nights.
- Krystyna (8/5): - Close to transport and shopping
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location - The location was great and the staff were friendly.
- Jim (10/5): - Its very close to the tram and shopping.
- Reinaldo (6/5): - It was clean and close to the metro station, A/C didn't work, it was a very hot room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location, room a little dated. - Room was generally clean and tidy, no real issues. The location was very handy. A few things could have improved the stay.
- Room was very hot at night, with no way to cool down.
- Only 1 pillow which was very thin.
- Not enough towels provided.
- Roy (10/5): - Good option for cheap accommodation if you are looking to avoid shared rooms. Ibis is always one of my go to's when i am specifically looking for a basic but comfortable and cheap private room.
- geetu (8/5): - Good
- Mark (10/5): - I have stayed in many hotels in Prague in different price brackets. The Ibis was the best of all. The staff were friendly. Because I registered online in advance they had my room ready when I arrived after an early flight. Any query I had regarding the location of the venue for my conference, tram and bus routes etc they answered cheerfully and efficiently. Thank you Ibis for helping me enjoy my time in Praha.
- Gary (8/5): - Good value
- HANISH (6/5): - good location, nothing much to say other than this - Ibis is Ibis, no nonsense, no frills.
- Alper (10/5): - This is our second time staying. Everything was as expected. Thank you.
- Stuart (8/5): - Great location, lovely public areas in the hotel. Room is a good size. Bathroom is a bit dated and cramped. Tv in the room but only 1 channel available in english
- Maurice (10/5): - Very fast service. I instantly received my room access card upon arrival, brekfast was served timely and chechout was immediate
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The accomodation is good, the hotel staff friendly and helpful.
- Anne Ginette (8/5): - Thank you for lovely stay and friendly helpful staff
- Ken (10/5): - In a perfect location, taking into account Prague,s fantastic tram system.15 minutes to Charles bridge.Huge Mall next door with food hall.Great !
- Alper (8/5): - My family and I stayed at ibis Praha Mala Strana Hotel for 5 nights, and everything was good. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was varied and delicious, and the location was perfect for exploring Prague. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. We had a great time and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Prague.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Better than expected
- PERRY (8/5): - Very noisy area outside. Sirens all the time. Breakfast is ok. Pillows are very soft. Not the best location if you like walking to the sights as you are quite far from them but they do have good transport links. I personally would like a fridge and kettle in room as I do like to make a drink in the morning but that is my personal thing. Great staff. Our bedding or towels were not changed in the whole 4 night stay.
- Andreas (8/5): - Good location for Prague visitors and travellers. Everything is in walking distance. Rooms are clean and sufficient.
- Kevin (8/5): Good hotel! - The hotel was very clean and the staff was really friendly! Breakfast buffet very very nice with loads of selections. Did not have an in room safe but could keep bags at the hotel after checkout to spend the day visiting the city. Definitely recommend.
- LAILA (6/5): - My room had a spider web
- JIRAPA (10/5): - Good value and nice staff
- Cesar (10/5): - The hotel is very good. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The beds are good. Front desk is very helpful. A good place to stay near of the main attractions in Prague. The tram lines are very close. Only 200 mts. Very safe and convenient. Highly recommended it.
- Rahul (8/5): Average Budget hotel with public transport connect - Good budget hotel at great location with public transport connectivity. Nearby lot of budget friendly eating options. There's a mall nearby with Paul and Tesco. Rooms are very small. Few of staffs are very good and few unhelpful. No view from the room.
- Francisco (10/5): - Everything fine!
- Claire (8/5): - This property advertised that it has Air Con. However it does not, there is an air recycling system that sucks air from the room and blows it back out through a filter at ceiling level, being really ineffectual as the marginally cooler air is all at ceiling level, in 30 degrees plus it was terrible, had to open window and there was a lot of noise from road and trams, nothing that the people working there could do, but really should not be advertising air con when they clearly do not have it. Could not even offer me a fan, so that we could blow air at bed height! Really disappointed and spent four very uncomfortable nights here
- Beth (6/5): Good economical choice - it was very basic. 2 towels total for 2 people. no frills if that's what you're after but the room was clean and did the job. easy to access the bus from hotel. GREAT breakfast spot around the corner from hotel.
- Sara Saleem (8/5): - Very helpful staff
- Theodore (8/5): - Hotel is fine but only if your goal is to sleep. No gym or other hospitality services
- Samantha (4/5): - -
- Andreas (8/5): - Great location. Lots of dining and shopping in short walking distance.
- Sahba (6/5): - On the positive side, the hotel was in a very good central place. The price was reasonable and cleanliness was good and staff were friendly. On the negative side the walking area next to the main entrance was not lit at nights which was both a safety and convenience concern, the AC in the room was not adjustable for cold air (only warm air) and it was very noisy if we tried open the window to cooldown the room at nights.
- Ben (10/5): - The staff were very friendly. Good room, could have used another pillow or larger pillows.
- georgina (10/5): Thumbs up. - This is my third stay, the hotel is convenient to public transportation.
- Andreas (10/5): - Convenient accommodation. Close to shopping and dining.
- Rex (6/5): - Stayed for two nights and mainly chose this property for it's location. Mall nearby, easy access to public transit and Uber/Taxis. Relatively short ride to nearly any location in the beautiful city of Prague.
Was greeted by surly front desk staff who responded in monosyllablic fashion to polite questions regarding the hotel and area.
Bathroom is the size of a cruise ship bathroom so don't bring a great number of toiletries. Area seems to be near a hospital so heard sirens all night.
Elevators are tiny. Seriously, maybe 3-4 people can ride in one.
Wallpaper peeling from room wall, dated decor, but comfortable if you're only there to sleep.
Didn't pay for the breakfast so I don't know if it was good.
- Karl (10/5): - Perfectly placed.
- Steven (8/5): - Clean and basic,did the job.
- Andreas (10/5): - Good location to explore prague
- Maria Madalena (10/5): - I like the bedroom very clean, comfortable bed I sleep well. I will be back and I will choose the same property.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Hotel was fine. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Check-in and check-out staff were very slow to even acknowlege there was someone at the desk and even slower to perform the duties.
- MIROSLAV (8/5): - Very good for short stay.
- Svitlana (10/5): - Great place to stay. Definitely recommend.
- Ram (10/5): - Really nice stay and can roam around city without hassle. Public transport available in short distance. Go for it.
But, rooms are small and can hear noise from the nearby streets.
If you are a shopping freak or a city explorer, it's for you guys
- Peter (6/5): - strange smell from the heating, to cold on the second room
- Hiroo (6/5): - Conveniently location
But no USB connection
- Erika (10/5): - Excellent value for money. Very nice and helpful late night welcome by the receptionist. Good breakfast selection.
- Ling Yi (10/5): - Very like
- Prabhu (10/5): - Service was good. Staff was very helpful. But facilities were very basic. Breakfast was very poor in variety. It’s a good hotel with very basic facilities.
- Armando (10/5): - Location, location, location, when in Prague, this hotel is very convenient to get to different places, the tram is less than a block away and during the weekends there is a beautiful farmer's market a block away.
- Dafydd (8/5): - A comfortable basic hotel. Easy access via Metro. Good breakfast.
- Paul (10/5): Superb Base - Great hotel to use as a base, close to new shopping complex. Excellent public transport links to get to the main tourist sites, trams or metro at bottom of road. Excellent restaurants nearly as well.
Staff very helpful during stay with any questions we had.
- Jennifer (8/5): Overall ok. - Stayed for 4 nights, 2 nights in one room 2 in a different one. The 1st one the pillows were rock hard, better in the 2nd one. Only 2 bath towels, needed at least 1 hand towel. Breakfast was expensive and not much choice in the bar. Great location, easy to get around, plenty of bars and shopping. Staff were friendly. Would stay agaim
- Neville (8/5): - A safe in the room would have been useful , also a refrigerator. Location is central , malls next to it.
- Monica (8/5): - Great location for Prague visit. Good accomodations. Expect significant noise from street because of tram tracks and cars.
- Zara (2/5): - Awful and scary
- Nikolett (10/5): - 👍
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Can't complain with the breakfast buffet. We always start our day energized. The only problem we had were the pillows. It needs changing because it was not comfortable. Feels like it hasnt been changed in years!
- William (8/5): - Clean, simple, basic travel hotel. The staff was pleasant and exceedingly helpful and the breakfast buffet was terrific. My only complaint is that the beds are exceptionally firm to the point of being uncomfortable. We stayed here on both ends of our trip and got a poor night’s sleep both times because the mattresses are so unforgiving.
- martin (10/5): - Fabulous Breakfast buffet. Could have stayed all morning !!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel - Great hotel situated close to tram and subway station. Area a little bit noisy.
- Davíð (8/5): Fine stay - The rooms were fine, as described. They would benefit from a more comfy pillows.
Bonus points for allowing us to check in early!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location in a very lively area
- Verified traveler (8/5): Its an Ibis.. - It's an Ibis so the place is the same as all the others.
The location was good, convenient for shops and local transport.
The room was a bit noisy overlooking the tram lines and main road.
- Jeffrey (8/5): Very nice hotel - This Ibis Hotel has excellent customer service. The hotel is in great condition& the rooms are good size. Also, this hotel is in a great location.
- Daniel (10/5): - Fantastic location, within walking distance (200 yards) of transport links and next door to shopping malls and pubs and restaurant's
- leland (10/5): - Comfortable room with excellent breakfast included. Neighborhood was a bit commercial. But, the tram is nearby & you are no more than 20 minutes from everything. Service staff was helpful & friendly. Excellent place to stay & I recommend it highly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice and clean. Probably want to get next if my visit.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice and good location - Nice location next to public transport and shopping. Helpful staff.
- john (10/5): Prague city fun - Awesome soft bed nice staff good breakfast
- Verified traveler (10/5): - súper bien ubicado, es una zona muy tranquila esta a la esquina de un centro comercial, puedes llegar caminando al centro donde está el puente de Carlos a tan solo 20min.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very basic but stylish. Absolutely no frills but very clean, safe, welcoming. Right next to a major shopping center and just 3 minute walk to the uncrowded bus 191 to the airport! Exactly what I expected and appreciate
- Daniel (10/5): - Fantastic location, just across the road from public transport links and 100 yards away from shopping, bars and restaurants
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, great staff.
It would be great if they had a gym
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good trip. - Hotel was good for the money. The kitchen was down making no food available, which was a real shame.
- Lonely-Samurai (8/5): - Typical ibis hotel that staffs are always friendly. The location is good for business and tourists since it is located near the subway station and a shopping center.
- Roy (8/5): - Overall good. But shower in bathroom designed for disabled person. Water did not run away so left with a flooded bathroom floor. Close to tram route.
- ElisaChavez (10/5): - Excellent hotel and location. I highly recommend this
Breakfast was excellent Elisa Chavez
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great hotel to stay while in Prague! Two minute walking distance to giant mall with a giant Tesco!
- Michelle (10/5): Great location - We spent 3 nights and found the hotel to be very comfortable. It is in a great location only 2 minutes from the tram and also a large shopping complex. A 10/15 minute walk gets you over the river and into Old Town. WIFI was good. Great value.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Facilities and cleaning lacking - Staff at reception were friendly and helpful but I felt the hotel lacked facilities, no safety deposit box, towels weren't changed, we took cups of tea to our room which were supplied by the hotel but cleaner didn't take them away just left them to pile up. Room was very basic. No room service available not what I'd expect from a 4 star hotel. Hotel was near some shopping malls a few restaurants and bars but if you want to see the city and main attractions bars and restaurants I'd recommend a hotel on the opposite side of the river Praha 1.
- Aleyna (10/5): Clean, modern hotel with good facilities - Our hotel room was clean and modern with good bathroom facilities and a comfortable bed. Was about 1.3m away from the man Prague city area (Charles Bridge etc) but was a short pleasant walk along the river. Lots of cafes, restaurants, shops and a mall nearby.
- Sau (6/5): Ibis should review their standard - The only advantage of this hotel is location. Staff impolite, no amenities provided at bath room, no kettle for hot water. no tissue at the bedroom. Not really a hotel grade.
- Tatyana (10/5): Affordable and convenient, competent staff - The staff is very competent and efficient. They called a taxi for me to go to events and to pick me up after. They gave good advice on what tours to take. They arranged tickets for me to see a show. I felt safe and welcomed in this hotel. Thank you to everyone at Ibis Praha Mala Strana.
- Harmeet Singh (8/5): Review of ibis Praha Mala Strana - The hotel lags some of the basic amenities in the room such as water kettle and also no dustbin in the room and I felt to be it overpriced for the services offered.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Terrible budget hotel - The hotel is conveniently located beside a large supermarket and shopping mall. However, the hotel is not within walking distance of any attraction. It takes at least 30 minutes to walk to Charles Bridge. The hotel is also situated in a noisy area. You can hear the noise of trams and heavy traffic/cars in any room, even on the 6th floor. As a budget hotel, the room is very small with few amenities, but for the price, it is value of money considering the higher price of rooms in other hotels. You need to specifically request for a non-smoking room if you are a non-smoker. There is bus 191, which brings you directly to the airport, but apparently, this service was not available during our trip and we had to change to bus 119 halfway through the journey. Also, the rate on Hotels.com does not give you an option to include breakfast and we had to pay 11 euro person at the hotel, which is expensive. Overall, we would not choose this hotel for our next stay in Prague.
- Courtney (6/5): Extremely noisy hotel (road traffic) - Incredibly noisy and parking is overpriced at 20euros per night when we were only paying 40 for our room. Ask for a room not on the road side and it may be better but we were kept awake all night by sirens and trams even though we were on the 5th floor
