• Nigel (6/5): Ok but premium wasn’t premium at all. - The location was perfect. A lovely view. We paid for a premium double and got a lovely view but the room had an internal door( we weren’t told this when booking) so … no quiet room and no privacy. We did tell reception . They offered us another room but we had to move in then or pack our bags to move … we were literally on our way out of the door when this happened. They wouldn’t hold the room till we got back so we had to forego the offer… another night of no privacy and a noisy shower from next door a t4.30 am.

• Francesca (9/5): Good value, great location - Fantastic location for exploring London, but also right on the edge of Hyde park so you can get your nature fix. Helpful & friendly concierge. Clean, comfortable room. Rooms are on the smaller side but was great for what we needed and was to be expected in this location. The room still had more space than other hotels we've stayed in the same area.

• Chris (8/5): Clean well maintained hotel staff friendly and efficient would stay again - I like how well maintained the property and rooms were as well as the cleanliness in all areas, I like having a refrigerator that work and also a safe and aircon all working and not noisy The standard double room was small but still functional for the price paid and fine for one person for short stays, I would however consider upgrading to a larger room next time

The restaurant was spacious and the staff on duty were always so good. The breakfast was excellent, a wide range of self service choices and the tables were very efficiently made available. We took advantage of the in house discounts and had dinner on both evening that we stayed. The room was perfect for a two night stay, quiet (back of the building) and comfortable. The shower was excellent. We were also able to leave our cases when we checked out and collected them later in the day, again very efficiently dealt with. No negatives, we would be very happy to stay again.

I had mentioned when booking that we were celebrating a birthday while staying with them and on arrival to the room they had given us a free upgrade to a deluxe room with views of Kensington gardens, put balloons up, left a card and a bottle of Prosecco for us! The staff were exceptional, they were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We also got a £7 voucher to redeem at breakfast/in the bar for choosing to not get our room cleaned for the 2 night stay. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel and as our first experience staying with thistle we would definitely return. Shout out to the member of staff on reception (Thomas?) who checked us in, he was lovely and gave us restaurant recommendations. Nothing, everything was brilliant.

There are many shops nearby, making shopping convenient, and there is even a convenience store directly below the hotel. The room also has a refrigerator, which is a nice added convenience. The air conditioning can be adjusted from within the room. The rooms feel a little small for the price, but overall, I would say this is a hotel worth recommending.
• ilkkaj117 (10/5): Long weekend at Kensington - Perfect location for us, since we like to walk to different destinations trough the Gardens, and the Paddington Station is only 15 min walk away. We took the big bus tour, which stops just outside of the hotel. Only slight minus come from the brasserie view to the Gardens. It is partly blocked by the high windows.

Åker vi till London igen så blir det här vi bor! :) Hade varit bra med krokar på väggen vid dörren för att kunna hänga upp ytterkläder, Hade varit bättre med "duschkabin" än badkar som finns nu, Saknade även nån hylla i badrum för hygienartiklar.

• Rhino_uk (6/5): Poor Service - We were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a deluxe room upon check-in. The staff went above and beyond for my wife’s birthday, decorating the room with balloons and providing complimentary prosecco and cake. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. The air conditioning in Room 405 was broken. I reported it at 4:00 PM, we returned from the theatre at 11:00 PM to find it still broken, maintenance was apparently unable to fix it. This issue persisted for our entire three-night stay. Adding to our frustration, we closed the curtains on Saturday to keep the room cool, after the room had already been made up, only to return and find someone had entered the room and opened them again. Service at the bar was also disappointing. I ordered a 175ml glass of wine but was charged for a 250ml. When challenged, the barman claimed the till prices were incorrect, resulting in a five minute wait while he tried to correct the bill. While the initial gestures were lovely, the lack of climate control and the billing error made for a frustrating stay.

It was lovely to take a walk there in the mornings. - The rooms are comfortable and well designed. - They had vegan alternatives for the breakfast menu. - The best part of the stay were the staff! Everyone was so friendly, helpful and welcoming all the time. On the last day, we needed help with a personal issue and Hassan was super supportive and genuine. Thanks again! - The cleanliness wasn’t top notch but still good enough. - There was too much noise coming from the corridors at night and the in the mornings. - The breakfast was delicious but we believe there should be more variety each day. It got a bit repetitive after a couple of days.

• Khaled A. Ragab (8/5): Excellent location, house keeping upon request (they will come if you ask) - Excellent location, near Marble Arch and very close to Queensway Tube Station. Hyde Park is across the road. Room service was a bit slack. I had to ask daily for house keeping to clean the room and change bed sheets.Little things like this do make a difference. Asking for it raises alot of questions. It would be niuce to return to the room after a busy day and find it clean and bed sheets chnaged rather than calling reception and ask for house keeping.

However as I had upgraded to a king room we were pleasantly surprised. Lovely, clean and airy. Fantastic location right next to Kensington gardens and easy to get around London even with the tube strikes.

• Deborah (8/5): Just as described on website. Would recommend - We had a planned event at the Royal Albert Hall & chose this hotel due to its close location & the fact it had parking. (Although the car park spaces are tight) All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We ate an evening meal & breakfast there and these were both of a good standard. We chose to have a room with the view of Hyde Park which was very pleasant. Our room window didn’t open and the air conditioning was poor - I found it far too warm & uncomfortable.

Chambre sale, poussière non faite, sol pas nettoyé, savons mélanger avec de l eau, bref très loin de ce que l on peut attendre d un établissement 4 etoiles à plus de 350 euros la nuit. De plus 1 ascenseur sur 3 qui fonctionnait, quand on est au 9eme étage ce n est pas confortable.

• Marie (8/5): Emplacement idéal. Chambres correctes. - Emplacement idéal. Proche parc et métro. Personnel très accueillant. Bon rapport qualité prix/prix Fenêtres à remplacer. Écart entre l’ouvrant et la partie fixe. Et donc mauvaise acoustique. Heureusement, la rue n’est pas très bruyante la nuit….
