• Vignesh (7/5): Overall loved my stay but there were minor issues that couldn't be completely ignored - I loved the location primarily, everything you would need on a beach vacay is no more than 5-7mins away by walk. The staff are wonderful people, particularly the housekeeping crew. The terrace/ lounge area was wide enough for multiple parties to hang out at the same time without disturbing one another. Check-in and Check out and the "onboarding" (wifi, hotel details, etc.) all happened very smoothly. The cleanliness was not as expected. The room despite appearing clean was a bit dusty and the mattress and blankets provided had some marks on them. Lighting felt weird, at night the lights provided were overpowering pretty much gave me a headache and during the day, not much light came through the windows. Room was very warm too, had to blast the AC 24/7 despite it facing away from the bed, maybe a fan would've been better.

• Heather (8/5): Cute and quaint, beachfront inn close to the canal district - A cute little hotel on the boardwalk. It is likely an old home that was converted into a hotel, kind of like an inn with private bathrooms. So its close quarters and I did hear other people and doors but not to excess and it was quiet after 10pm. Cute balcony and front patio as well. A couple minute walk out to the water! The staff were so nice and friendly. I reserved a parking spot and it was directly behind the hotel in a well lit area. The canal district is also within walking distance along with a really great coffee shop called Alana's coffee shop that had a banger latte. I could not adjust the air conditioner. I wanted there to be a note or instructions or something.

• Angela (8/5): Great start to our vacation. - Great location with short walk to restaurants etc. an hours walk up to Santa Monica Pier and attractions along the way, gift shops, eateries etc. The staff were really pleasant and helpful. Occasional smell of weed when some people walk past if you are sat outside.

The views are amazing. Overall the location is the best part. My tv did not work. I did not spend much time in the room so I didn’t complain about it. The shower was very inconsistent with temperature changing erratically. From ice cold to boiling hot. Made the showers feel rushed.

The shower was not well maintained, the towels has stains on them, the safety lock was unscrewed so it didn't work. I have checked out at 3am and I was promised that someone would have been at the reception. Instead the hotel was totally unguarded even though the description said the desk is open 24hrs. If more care was put on this hotel, it would be a real gem.

There was a liquid something splattered on the bedroom/bathroom door, drywall in bathroom was in need of repair. Windows either didn’t open or didn’t have screens at all. Television didn’t work half the time. Air filters had visible soil so need to be changed. Bathroom tile had mold on the walls and floors.

• Götz + Ute (4/5): Das Hotel punktet durch seine Lage aber Komfort darf man nicht erwarten! Für uns ein schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältni - Die Lage des Hotel Venice on the Beach war sehr gut! Es lag an der Fußgängerzone, die später in die Promenade überwechselte. Man konnte dort sowie auch am Strand gut ins Zentrum und zum Pier von Santa Monica laufen. Einige Parkplätze waren direkt vor dem Hotel vorhanden, allerdings waren diese auch schnell belegt. Wer dann noch kam, musste sich selbst einen Platz suchen! Morgens konnte man sich Kaffee oder heißes Wasser für Tee an einer ausgewiesenen Stelle holen, dass war recht angenehm! Das Hotel war einfach abgewirtschaftet. Es gab neben dem Bett einen Tisch und einen Stuhl, einen Nachtisch und einen Kühlschrank! Keine Möglichkeit, Sachen aus dem Koffer heraus zu hängen. Einige Holzlamellen von den Jalousien waren gebrochen, das Bad war nur durch eine Person nutzbar, die zweite hatte gleichzeitig einfach keinen Platz! Als wir ankamen, stand es zudem noch unter Wasser, die Putzfrauen haben vergessen, es trocken zu wischen! Ein Zimmerwechsel war leider nicht möglich. Angeblich alles ausgebucht.

Beds were super comfortable, super clean, coffee bar was awesome!! Blinking of motion sensor light outside our window (room 16) was tough to deal with even with blinds closed.

• BARIS (5/5): Total disappointment - Honestly one of the worst places we’ve stayed in a long time. Definitely not worth the money. The “ocean view” is a stretch, you really have to go out of your way to even see it. The whole place felt damp, things were rusty, and there was this heavy detergent smell everywhere. I’ve stayed at random roadside motels that were way better than this. Parking isn’t included, they only take cash, and they didn’t even give a receipt.

The cleanliness needs to be improved, especially the bathroom. Lots of hair on the floor, wall and around the toilet. No hand soap provided. The property offers very basic amenities and nothing more. Not a lot of space to put your things in the bathroom, no hooks for towels or clothes.

Parking spot saved for us The place was much farther (3x in time) from the location we were headed the next day despite their explanation to the contrary. The room window was located beneath an outside light that flashed on and off ALL night. The blinds were broken and we could not block out the annoying light. Absolutely ridiculous!! The second worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I way overpaid. Given the choice I could not be paid to stay there. We were miserably tired the next day.

La struttura è vecchia e poco confortevole anche se tutto funziona correttamente.la camera che ci è stata assegnata aveva una finestra che dava sulla strada posteriore alla spiaggia e per tutta la notte si è acceso e spento ad intermittenza un palo della luce esterno ma non c'era la possibilità di oscurare la finestra.

• Volker (8/5): Lage Top - Ausstattung eher nicht - Das Hotel ist kein Schnäppchen, aber für die Lage wiederum in Ordnung. Man ist halt schnell am Strand und an den Geschäften von Venice Beach. Die Dachterrasse ist leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Insgesamt dürfte das Hotel mal überholt werden. Dann wird es aber wahrscheinlich nicht mehr zu diesem Preis zu buchen sein. Modernisierung wäre von Vorteil. Badezimmer benötigen mal eine Grundreinigung.

All hours of the night & early morning banging, moving of furniture honestly not sure what was going on but it was so uncomfortable & disruptive
