Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.
A damage deposit of USD 400 is required. The host charges this 7 days before arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed within 7 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property.
After confirmation, Sonder will reach out to guests through a secure link to gather some information regarding the guests stay. Sonder may require the guest to provide a photo of their government issued photo ID. Guests will receive check in details from property management three days prior to arrival. There may be construction noise as we are undergoing renovations. Room service and daily cleanings are not provided. There are no laundry facilities on site. There is no cable. We have provided a Chromecast for streaming. There is no continental breakfast.
The Wellborn House Bar is open until 1 am throughout the week. You may hear noise from the events and music in the shared courtyard space. Dr. Phillips House wedding venue is next door, hosting receptions in their outdoor courtyard. You may hear noise from the DJ music. We have provided earplugs and a white noise machine in your space. We apologize for any inconvenience. Sonder offers all guests the ability to book housekeeping services on-demand for a nominal fee. This ensures you can enjoy an uninterrupted and environmentally sustainable stay. Housekeeping services must be scheduled via the Sonder app, 24 hours in advance.

- LAETITIA (6/5): - L emplacement et le cadre de l hôtel qui est magnifique. Les photos ne correspondaient pas à l agencement de l appartement. Notre logement était plus petit, n avait pas de table pour manger (alors que présente sur la photo) ni d évier dans la cuisine alors que nous avions opter pour ce logement car une vraie cuisine. Bilan nous devions faire la vaisselle dans la salle de bain!
- Maria (7/5): - Die Lage zum Kia Center und zur Stadt ist top. Schönes Ambiente. Einfaches online check und Zugang mit Codes. Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus, wenn das Schild, das auf der Kommode im Zimmer liegt an den Rückspiegel gehängt wird. Die Klimaanlage ist zu kalt eingestellt. Ist auch sehr laut. Sie pustet direkt auf das Kissen. Tipp: Lamellen über dem Bett mit der Hand schließen und das Kissen ans Fußende legen - also umgekehrt schlafen. Nicht besonders isoliert. Es gab einige Zimmernachbarn, die rücksichtslos die Türen knallten und auch nachts laut waren. Am 2. Abend haben wir unsere Ohrstöpsel getragen. Dann ging es.
- Rebecca (5/5): - Good proximity to downtown, spacious room, neat and tidy The main issue was not having hot water in my shower for the 1 night stay, so was not able to shower. Apparently this was checked afterwards and they said it was working when it had not for me, and no compensation received unfortunately- so had to go to an overnight flight unshowered. Not able to store luggage in reception Kettle but nothing to drink out of. Loud music next door for wedding but this is mentioned in the hotel description and I missed it, thankfully finished by 10pm

- Anonymous (6/5): Climbing to the 3rd floor was uncomfortable. When I opened the door to my room I was surprised the - I didn't have breakfast. I was told they didn't serve breakfast. Every day, Hundreds of small bugs in the bathroom sink crawled everywhere. I had to kill them every time I went into the bathroom. It was very uncomfortable.

- Michelle (8/5): - This is such a cute property! Close to downtown but quiet enough to feel further away. The music in the evening did go until about midnight or so, but it wasn't disruptive. Since this is a historic building, it does come with its quirks. For instance, the tub/shower was in our room - like, actually a foot and a half from the bed, no wall separating lol. We had no problem making this work, though future guests may want to know this ahead of time. This property seems to function more as an Airbnb than a hotel - no staff on-site, and room access is digital (code sent prior to check-in time). We had an issue with our code suddenly not working the second day. After about 30 minutes, the support contact was able to provide a backup option. The on-site bar/restaurant was great! It has a small menu but all delicious choices. All in all, it was great stay!

- Justine (7/5): Would I stay here again. The simple answer is Yes. - I loved the charm of the rooms and the grounds. My niece and I drove 2 and a half hours to get to the booking. We didn't think to stop to use a restroom before arriving. We arrived a bit early for our 4pm check in and there is NO RESTROOM for guests to use upon their arrival. We tried to see if we could use the restroom in the restaurant and we were told they were not open yet. Thank goodness a staff member allowed us to get in the rooms a bit early. There really should be a restroom for your guests to use upon arrival.

- Susan (2/5): - One of the worst check-in experiences ever, after 6:00 PM, the property is no longer staffed. Creating an account, ID and facial recognition needed to get the code for our door, which was in the older lovely part of the hotel, downstairs had a few rom of a shared area and a few rooms upstairs We didn't realize until later after we brought our bags in that the front door wouldn't lock, our room door was right next to the front door, so we were very concerned with anyone just walking into the property. There also was a homeless encampment under the bridge overpass and with no staff, "Sorry there's nothing we can do" was the response after talking with multiple managers. They did try to find us another roon at one of their other Orlando properties but all were sold out. We moved the bed away from our door and had a very restless 1st night. They did fix the door the next day, but knowing now how Sonder manages their properties we will never stay at one again.

- Adhara (8/5): - Our stay at The Wellborn was lovely. It’s charming and staying in the oldest house in Orlando means there are quirks. The floor in our room was slanted, electrical outlets are in the weirdest places (common in an 1883 house that has been refurbished into a hotel) and the bathroom was tiny. That said, the decor was beautiful and the whole place was whimsical. I wish I had known there would be loud music playing until 1am most nights, but thankfully they provided earplugs in the room. All in all a lovely place to stay.

- Adam (9/5): Good location and cosy - ideal for a short stay. - Great location for walking into Downtown Orlando (DTO) and Lake Eola park, as well as another nice lake situated just across. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for a short 2-night stay. Despite being key-less and reception-less, access to the room was smooth and easy. The room was full of character, as too was the lounge/communal area and indeed the whole property. The television with Roku streaming service (wide range of apps) was very useful for chilling and relaxing in the evenings. Windows could do with cleaning outside. Also, the space directly outside the windows has been used for lots of storage (umbrellas, a shed etc - not shown in the photis on Booking.com) so if you open the curtains/blinds to let light in the view is very cluttered & obstructed. We weren't too fond of some rather large vents in the floor and a gap under the main door, that it felt like could potentially allow insects etc into the room.

- Ashley (3/5): Cute house in a lovely location, based on all of the negatives, it is unfortunately not worth the money we payed to stay - The staff were really lovely and helpful. The property itself was gorgeous and full of character. It was fairly easy to access our room. Unfortunately we were disappointed in the quality of the rooms. The room we stayed in had black mould on windows and on bathroom ceiling, we reported and they covered it. The room was extremely dark most of the time with low lighting. The bathroom door did not shut until we took off the hooked mirror, and the bathroom door did not have a lock. There was heaps of bugs in the room and we would wake up with bug bites with no where to plug in the bug light provided. While we were at our stay there was an evacuation for a gas leak and did not have hot water for a day, it is apparent they do patch up jobs and do not properly fix stuff. I wish we could’ve loved this place but it was not up to standard. I know that this has been mentioned plenty of times but the speaker right outside our bedroom window was ridiculous. I know Sonder has no control over it apparently but even with noise cancelling ear buds, we could still hear it and the bass was vibrating the bed.

The Wellborm said they were not part of Sonder ….. very confusion and unorganized. Clean the carpet and spray for bugs before each customer arrives

- Andrew (2/5): Do not stay here - There were some pretty trees and plants. First of all this hotel is right next to the highway so there’s traffic noise. Just across the narrow street are homeless people sleeping under the highway off ramp and occasionally harassing guests. One yelled at me to put away my phone, shouting, “ technology is dangerous” repeatedly. There is no outdoor space for use during the day except for a couple of concrete benches. The courtyard restaurant tables are blocked off for no clear reason. There is no staff on site. There is no pool, no gym, no coffee in the lobby. There are no lounge chairs. There is no food until 5pm and no restaurants or cafes in walking distance. They require you to prove your identity online prior to check in. This is intrusive and completely unnecessary. All that matters is you paid for the room and don’t act like a jerk. This isn’t a passport application. The rooms are sterile. When they remodeled they didn’t redo the electric. As a result, the light switch for the bathroom is outside and around the corner. There are few wall outlets and they are not near the furniture so my devices are charging on the floor. There is no towel rack inside the bathroom but a floor stand towel bar outside the door, blocking the kitchenette counter. The kitchenette itself is useless since it has no stove or oven, only a microwave and tea kettle. It only has a mini fridge so it’s basically a regular hotel room rather than a suite with kitchenette. I wouldn’t really say it’s a suite because there is no privacy between the bedroom and seating area.

- Karen (8/5): - Location was easy for my needs. It’s located next to a hospital so you do hear sirens and traffic from the offramp located in front of the property. My biggest gripe is the fact there’s a restaurant and bar that closes at 1 AM right underneath your window and all of the hotel rooms are encircled around this area. They do provide sound machines and earplugs, but it does not suffice for any kind of restful sleep until after 1:30 AM. The room, however, was very clean. Because of the fact, this is a wedding and event venue as well as a restaurant and bar parking gets a little crazy in the night time. Just be prepared.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Stayed for 9 days at Sonder and enjoyed every day. It was spacious and clean. Every morning i walked through historical downtown and at one park there is a very nice workout station. The only issue i had was the bed was a bit too hard for my liking and one evening pretty sure it was a weekend the Dr Philips house has an an event that was very loud. If they could add an amenity a pool would have been nice to escape the hot Florida sun but we would head to the beach which was 1 hour away. Overall great stay and I would definitely stay again.

- Diana (8/5): Couples Getaway to Orlando - We loved the location of the Wellborn, not on a main street, but within walking distance to great restaurants and bars and Lake Eola Park. The property is very charming. We stayed in the pink building, which is very Art Deco. The furniture was sparse, but the bed was extremely comfortable. The only complaint is that our bedroom windows face the patio, with lights strung across it and in the trees, making it a well-lit area, but the lights remain on even after the bar/restaurant closes at 1 a.m. There are no blackout curtains or shades, only plantation shutters so the light filters through and can be disturbing.
- Jessica (3/5): I would never choose to stay here again. - It was clean. There is no door to the bathroom which leaves little room for privacy when going potty. The noise level even super late at night was just too much even with the sound machine they provide. It felt very cold and uninviting.
- Mark (4/5): - This is a no person no staff operation. Everything by internet. T here is literally no one at the hotel except som cleaning staff. Everything operates by App - which you find out the details after you book. So you need to download apps. Open accounts. The whole thing is a giant nuisance the first time you stay. Then if you have a problem - like I did twice - the only option is to text via the app. I had to wait 5 mins to start texting. Wasted another 20 minutes and they told me to call because they could help by text. They gave me a number and I calls 3 times and got no answer. I went back to texting and they informed me they gave me the wrong number. Then I called. Got someone on the phone. And an hour later I found out that the reason my tv wasn’t working was because there is no tv service !!! The v is only a large monitor that can be used to stream videos from your phone ! It was a mind numbing experience.
- ayden (2/5): - Seems like the area is nice that the property is in. The only issues I had was that the lights came in the room at night and I literally couldn’t sleep all night because of how bright it is even with the blinds closed, also the AC is terrible and the beds are super uncomfortable. The room we saw in the picture is not at all what we got either. We booked this for Monday night and nothing was open that night for the amenities. Not saying that’s their fault but still something to keep in mind.
- Cheryl (10/5): Kitchsy and Cute with a Few Things to Be Aware Of - The property and rooms are so adorably vintage. Be aware that this property is similar to a vacation rental, so there is no front desk nor constant staff on-site. We ran into a little issue because we arrived before our check-in time and needed a place to store our bags. While the app suggests using Bounce, it was hard to figure out where that was and, when we did, the closest place was over a mile away. Fortunately, we were able to reach a hotel staff member through the Sonder app who was very helpful and accommodating. The bar/restaurant on the property, the Wellborn, is delightful, with awesome cocktails and shared plates. Still, they kept reiterating that they were "not associated" with the hotel when we asked for assistance, which is confusing because the signs all say "Sonder Wellborn." It's a happening spot that was pretty noisy until late, but the acoustic treatment and earplugs provided by the hotel allowed us to get a restful night's sleep.
- Amos (6/5): Advertised as somethig much better than it actually is. - The goods: Location is great - very close to Orlando Downtown. The bed was huge / very comfortable. Shower was good. Plenty of soft towels. All amenities there, tea, coffee provided. Didn't have any issues with check in but must do all verification in advance online to save time and problems. The bads: The noise levels are astonishing. The wedding took place nearby and we literally felt tremors and vibration in the room. Impossible to sleep without earplugs (which are thankfully provided). Walls are very thin, single glazing windows can't be opened. The room interior was nowhere near to what was on the pictures. We got a very basic, plain and simple room and paid much more for what it's worth. The floor was not wiped and felt unclean. We spotted a massive cockroach crawling on the floor. I feel that I've been booking one thing and got something entirely different in the end. It's advertised as somethig much better than it actually is.

Automated system didn't work for check in, them texted me a day late to notify me about an event that very much impacted our ability to sleep, and the bed was a board.
- Arabella (10/5): - Me and my girlfriends stayed at the Wellborn Historical Hotel for one night and we did enjoy our stay. We loved all of the close by restaurants, all walking distance or a five minute drive. The room was super cute, we liked the old feel to it. I was satisfied with my stay.
- Kier (10/5): - Perfectly and beautifully nestled into a safe spot within the heart of Orlando. The hotel was fashionably furnished and offered a gorgeous well-lit and jungle-like backyard. This was such a unique and precious find. Parking was more than available, and there were several nearby restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and more.
- Mariela (7/5): Great for short trips in a well furnished, comfortable room. - I had to work and had the entire shared space to myself all of Monday afternoon. The decor was nice and the bed super comfortable. The images were not accurate of the place. Everything looks way brighter/lighter when in reality the place was actually very dark. I was on the ground level and had little privacy. The cafe within the property was also underwhelming, but the only close food/beverage location nearby. The staff was rude and not open during most of my stay.

Staff were very responsive and made the stay more comfortable. Parking was not an issue. Room did not look like what was advertised on their website. Pictures showed wood/laminate floors and eccentric furniture/decor. We received a unit with carpeted floors which were stained. Space was otherwise not as charming as hoped. They have a bar on site which was lively over the weekend, but sound penetrated bedroom. They did provide ear plugs.

- Melissa (10/5): Wonderful place to stay - Everything was very clean and well stocked. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The small kitchen perfectly useful. The staff was super responsive when we had questions. No complaints. We went in aware the neighboring venues would be festive on the weekend, and we would need earbuds/plugs. We slept wonderfully.
- Marie (10/5): - Checking in was easy. There was limited parking on the property which made it difficult at times when the restaurant was busy. Also, my only suggestion would be to upgrade the windows as it is next to a busy highway and the restaurant has a lot of foot traffic. I did not mind the noise but I feel better windows would help eliminate the noise to those who would complain. All in all, great property and the room was clean and served it's purpose. Very nice area as well.

- Ruth Desiree (8/5): Historic - Property is historic and beautiful. We love the courtyard and the restaurant is quaint. There were plumbing issues while we were there. The tv did not work. The bathroom door didn’t lock. We had difficulty contacting for assistance and gave up because it was only one night.
- Peter (7/5): It was just okay. - My room was very clean and the location was right in the middle of town. It was an interesting place to stay. They provided a nice supply of towels and a little kitchen are with a small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Coffee and tea packets were supplied. First hotel I stayed at that had no staff on sight. Couch has seen better days as the cushions were flat. The safety lock on door was hanging on one screw and couldn't be used to secure the door. TV was provided but no cable. Could only cast from your phone and it worked sporadically. Also, ear plugs were provided because it's right near a highway and the sound of cars and trucks going by was noticeable especially when sleeping.

Hard to find the good entrance to the room (realized later that the panel indicating the room numbers had been moved the other way around) but staff on the phone very helpful. The restaurant in the courtyard is very noisy with loud music and voices until midnight both evenings…

- Philip (8/5): Romantic hidden gem that will transport you to the past - Romantic. Historic. Artistic. This comment really has nothing to do with the hotel, but instead the adjoining restaurant. When we first arrived we were having trouble identifying which of the 3 buildings was to be our home for the night. The employee from the restaurant was either adamant or ignorant about helping us identify which building. Separately, she made it painfully clear that they had separate owners as if to imply they wanted nothing to do with us because we were staying at the hotel. Some basic situational awareness would have conveyed a more helpful and hospitable approach to make us want to dine at the restaurant that has such a romantic ambiance.

- Emilie (3/5): Uncomfortable and not worth the money - fairly close to restaurants and shopping opportunities there were no doors between the bedroom and bathroom and there were also ants in both the bathroom and bedroom. The night we arrived a drunk man was sleeping outside our door and there were no staff onsite that could help us. The blinds couldn’t be closed properly either so we didn’t feel safe when the bedroom was facing the bar and it was possible to look in. Does not look like the photos on the site whatsoever.
