• Jasper (7/5): Prima hotel op een top locatie! - Ontbijt en Diner was erg goed, werd voldoende aangevuld en het ontbrak aan niets. Kinderen konden ook uit voldoende kiezen, blijven toch moeilijke eters. Personeel in de bar en restaurant was prima. Ik vind het tegenvallen dat je door receptie niet werd begroet bij binnenkomst. Iedere keer als je het hotel weer binnenkwam, bleef men naar het scherm kijken. Ik vind het toch wel netjes om begroet te worden. Je receptie is toch je visitekaartje van het hotel. Buiten dat, bij vragen ontzettend netjes, dus nog steeds prima.

Cogimos la media pensión y nos salió muy bien de precio. El desayuno muy bueno. La limpieza muy bien. Sin duda, si volvemos repetiremos en este hotel. El único inconveniente es que en la cena, era carta cerrada, si vas a estar una estancia larga igual te aburres de siempre cenar lo mismo. La comida estaba buena.

The train station was very close by as a matter of fact it was beside the hotel so we could’ve jumped on the train to go wherever we wanted to go. There was nothing I didn’t like about the property only that is they could’ve had a vending machine to get water and snacks in the middle of the night .I feel they could’ve had a microwave in the room also

Also, no room cleaning was provided during our two-night stay because the hotel automatically replaced housekeeping with a £5 voucher. Great potential, but the service policy is too rigid.

Furniture and room condition I would more associate with a three star hotel, there was a hole burnt into the couch in the room, and the glasses provided we’re not all clean. The facilities I think would be more appropriate for three stars, not four.

In pachetul demipensiune am avut si cina, care era acelasi meniu seara de seara cu cateva optiuni, iar pt copii erau doar produse congelate. Servirea la masa foarte lenta Numele de Novotel nu este bine reprezentat in aceasta locatie

The wifi connection was strong and didn't seem to dip in and out The hotel in general was really hot - there was ac but it was pretty low powered and the building seemed to adsorb and hold onto heat!

Service was excelent (thank you Lela you were wonderful) and the food was to die for. We cant wait to fully check the room out and see what else this hotel and city has to offer.

Hotel stylish and comfortable. Staff freindly and helpful. Barstaff really friendly. Restaurant attractive and the food was fine, but for the pricepoint I have had better. The food was buffet style but the areas was quite cramped and choice, especially at breakfast, was not extensive. You could order exras, some of which were free of charge (fried eggs) but some had an extra charge (omelette)

• sandra (5/5): My favourite location 'usually ' - Staff,sauna, location Toilet door didn't lock, bath had shower attachment as well as standard filling only shower attachment worked, hairdryer didn't work.And worst of all we went out Saturday came back after 3.00 room hadn't been serviced, went back out came in 5.00 room still not cleaned spoke to reception who contacted housekeeping was assured it would be 5-10 minutes,so went back out to eat rather disgruntled as I wanted a bath , came back 6.35 room still not done, back to reception to complain louder room finally done at 6.45.I am a housekeeper and am aware of the difficulties running a busy department but that doesn't help with customer satisfaction.

De beaux gestes envers notre fille pour son anniversaire. . Les petits déjeuners étaient divers et très bons. Les repas du soir étaient très bons également. Il y a eu une difficulté sur le dernier soir sur le repas mais ils ont été très réactifs et ont su solutionner le problème. Il est fort probable que nous revenions dans cet établissement. Un placard pour ranger les vêtements serait apprécié lors d’un long séjour. Pas de chaînes françaises sur la télévision.

All of staff were very nice, helpful and very polite. The bathroom sink smelt of sewage every time we ran the tap and also discovered silver fish in the bathroom sink.

Due to a health issue attempted to cancel one month prior and was informed there would be zero refund. Health issue abated so was able to use the reservation. On arrival found a dirty glass in the room. Stained and torn upholstery. Missing and grubby sealant around the sink. Cracked and poorly repaired shower tray. No amenities with the bath. Missing tap head on shower attachment in the bath. Hairs from previous occupants around the bath tub and in the shower. Previous occupants carrier bag left in the wardrobe. Reported all these to the reception who were not in the least bit interested. I definitely would not use Novotel again and certainly cannot recommend them to anyone.

• GrandTour22209054581 (6/5): Good Value Stay in Greenwich with Some Notable Flaws - ROOM QUALITY Cleanliness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clean, but easily the most basic Novotel branch I’ve experienced so far, and I’ve stayed here four times. There are quite a few visible stains on the walls and carpet, which really detract from the overall impression. That said, the essentials are maintained to an acceptable standard. The bed, sheets, shower, and sink were all properly clean, which is ultimately what matters most. ⸻ Aesthetics: ⭐⭐⭐ Simple and uninspired, but not offensive. The colour palette leans on reds, greys, and wood tones... not unpleasant, but far from luxurious or memorable. Overall, the room feels really tired and heavily used. Lighting is actually better than at Novotel London West. There are multiple options, including a main light, smaller lamps for ambience, several bathroom lights, and reasonably functional reading lights. ⸻ Comfort and Noise: ⭐⭐ Noise outside the hotel and in the surrounding area isn’t too bad. However, as with many Novotel locations, soundproofing is not a priority. In this branch, noise is most noticeable in the hallways and through the vents - whether you like it or not, you have a front row seat to the sexual activities of the guest surrounding you. GRIM. The air conditioning is another major issue. It technically “works,” but it’s very slow and barely effective, making it unusable overnight. I checked in around 4pm and had already changed rooms by 5pm due to a faulty unit. The second room wasn’t much better unfortunately - the system ran, but made very little difference to the temperature. Windows can be opened slightly (around 3 inches), which helps with airflow, but this introduces additional noise at night. As a result, both nights of this stay were poor in terms of sleep quality due to heat and noise. Tea and coffee provisions are fairly basic - instant coffee feels outdated, and a machine (e.g. Nespresso) would significantly improve the experience. The tea selection was slightly better and included Earl Grey, which was a nice touch. ⸻ Room Tech Features: ⭐⭐ Very little to mention. A standard TV is included (though I didn’t use it), but there are no notable tech features or modern upgrades. ⸻ Bathroom: ⭐⭐⭐ The layout is quite unusual. The toilet is in a separate room near the entrance, while the sink, bath, and shower are in another separate space. The bath/shower combination also feels awkwardly designed, making the overall setup seem a bit chaotic and poorly thought out. Having stayed in multiple rooms here, I can say this layout is consistent throughout the hotel. On the plus side, lighting is well balanced (warm but still bright enough to be practical) and water pressure is good. The bath plug also worked properly, which is surprisingly not always the case in this chain, so that was a welcome improvement this time round. SERVICE Staff Friendliness & Efficiency: ⭐⭐⭐ Check-in is generally quick and straightforward. Staff are helpful when approached, although many come across as tired or somewhat disengaged at first glance. Despite this, they do assist with requests when needed. Reception is also where you can arrange gym access via your key card, which is a simple process. There were a few communication issues with housekeeping. The cleaner spoke very limited English, which made simple requests (such as extra coffee or towels) difficult. Timing was also inconvenient - housekeeping arrived around 1pm, when I was already in work meetings, so I wasn’t able to have the room cleaned. One consistent negative experience across all visits has been with the gym cleaner (Sofia, I believe). Across multiple stays, she has come across as noticeably unfriendly, often ignoring greetings altogether, which creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. OUTSIDE ROOM AMENITIES Gym: ⭐⭐ Better to have a basic gym than none at all. The space is quite dark and a bit dated, with a small selection of cardio machines and a compact area for both weights and stretching. There’s also occasionally a strange smell, which can be off-putting. It would struggle to accommodate more than two people at once. There are only two mats available, but during quieter weekday mornings this isn’t usually an issue. There is also a sauna, which I assume is functional, although I haven’t used it. There is one disabled toilet in this area, which has consistently been quite dirty. There also appear to be changing rooms near the sauna, but they have see-through doors and are not gender-separated, which would feel very uncomfortable - particularly for women or families. ⸻ Breakfast & Bar: ⭐⭐⭐ I didn’t use these facilities during this stay, so can’t comment — something to revisit in the future. LOCATION Transport Links: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Greenwich is one of the best areas in South East London, and the location is a major strength of this hotel. It’s right next to Greenwich DLR, with excellent bus connections and easy access by car. It’s also just a 5–10 minute walk into central Greenwich, where you’ll find Cutty Sark, the Greenwich Foot Tunnel, and Greenwich Park, easily one of the best parks in SE London and a personal favourite of mine for the guarantee of dogs, beautiful scenery and plentiful picnics in the summer. ⸻ Safety: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very safe overall, with no real concerns. ⸻ Vibe: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great atmosphere. There are plenty of nearby bars, restaurants, and tourist spots, making it a lively and enjoyable area to stay in. The hotel lobby is also a pleasant surprise and quite unique for a Novotel, with fun London-themed features like a phone box and an Instagram-friendly pink corner. VALUE FOR MONEY Final Conclusion: ⭐⭐⭐ Overall, good value for money, especially for visitors who want to explore London without staying right in the centre. However, the issues with room quality (particularly the ineffective air conditioning and sleep disruption) do bring the overall experience down quite significantly. AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT (SUMMARY) • Improve soundproofing and reduce noise transfer between rooms • Fix and properly maintain air conditioning systems • Upgrade or replace stained carpets and marked walls • Improve consistency in staff friendliness and engagement • Address communication barriers with housekeeping
• Emma (10/5): Beautiful well maintained hotel - The hotel was close to amenities and the O2 arena. Beautiful hotel and inviting. The hotel staff was accommodating and helpful. The rooms are a good size for 2 people. There were black.marks on the skirting boards and walls, plaster missing and broken near the windows which requires maintenance.
