- Francisco Luis (6/5): - La ubicación es buena y el precio barato. Muy justo en cuanto instalaciones. No muy bien ventilado.
- David (7/5): - Les habitacions i els llits molt nous. Els lavabos i dutxes molt bruts.Falten endolls prop de les lliteres. Només n'hi ha un per llitera.
- Luisa (7/5): - Estupenda ubicación al lado de Sants.

- Patryk (2/5): Never again - Will give 2 stars just because of the location. Nothing good to add. Showers did not work, no possibility of speaking English with the person in charge to clarify questions or anything.
I was charged a city tax (should be ok, however I was not informed before) and I have informed hours before the time I would arrive. After my flight was delayed I got in contact again and they said that I could only check in if I paid 15 euros (this information was nowhere to be found as well)

- Guest (7/5): ok - The place is located in the perfect place. has elevator. Good security. Curtains in the bed keep a nice privacy. But the cleaning is bad. The bathroom floor always full of water or pee. Not a lot of common places to be at. The air conditioning works only between 11pm and somewhere in the morning, the door needs to stay closed but if you are in a room with 8 beds they all do whatever they want. No towels given so you better take one or pay. They charge more when you get there also.
- Anonymous (1/5): Very bad . Not clean . Racism because i talk just english 😡 - The personal was agressif and not respectufal
I am writing to formally report a serious incident that occurred during my recent stay at hostelscat hostel , booked through your platform.
Unfortunately, I was forced to leave the accommodation before the end of my stay. The staff at the property treated me very poorly and unjustly evicted me. The reasons given were completely unacceptable and discriminatory. Firstly, the room was not clean — there was visible dirt under the bed and overall poor hygiene conditions. Secondly, and more seriously, I believe I was discriminated against because I do not speak Spanish. The hotel staff were rude and uncooperative, and their behavior towards me felt racist and disrespectful.
I am extremely disappointed and distressed by this experience. I paid for my stay in full but was unable to complete it due to the inappropriate and unprofessional behavior of the hotel staff. I am requesting a full investigation into this matter and a refund for the unused nights of my reservation.
- Natacha (8/5): Great experience - The location was excellent just a short walk from the metro station. The lady at the reception was absolutely wonderful. I had seen some negative comments about her beforehand but my experience was the complete opposite. She was kind, attentive and truly welcoming.
I arrived at 8 am and even though check-in wasn’t open yet, she kindly offered to store my luggage at reception. The next morning, breakfast was scheduled for 8 am but I arrived a bit earlier and she still had it ready for me. That small gesture meant a lot.
She only spoke Spanish but I had no problem understanding her. Sometimes people forget that when we travel, we’re the ones who should make the effort to adapt to the local language and culture.
As for the bathrooms, it’s true there’s just one shared bathroom upstairs but there are extra ones downstairs for both genders and the elevator works perfectly.
Overall, I had a great stay and was genuinely touched by the warm service. Some guests in the dorm were quite noisy at night. One person even had their alarm go off at 4:50 am, waking everyone except themselves. But of course, that’s not the property’s fault.
- Archie (3/5): Poor -
- Covadonga (5/5): Passable -
- Nigel (1/5): Bad Barcelona! - Due to ferry being late arrived late..grumpy night lady..took Euros from me for lateness. I thought it was a deposit for the locker key. The bed I was allocated was being slept in! Tiny cramped room. Greedy , no space. Everything about it.
- Konstantas (3/5): Poor -
- Adelle (6/5): Pleasant -
- Debbage (7/5): Good -
- Boughdad (7/5): Good -
- Castro (7/5): Good - The price was atractive, the bathroom was big and modern, and with the elevator it was easy to travel between floors The Room was small and it didnt have an AC.
During the spring some of the nights were very hot, and on a small rooms with 5 others people it got disconfortable an AC would solve the issue
- Muhammad (8/5): Good, Clean, Charging Extension Available, Shower Available, Comfortable Bed - Good, Clean, They gave me seperate room where all beds were empty. As first they put me into the room where already customers available
- Carlos (8/5): Very good -
- Carlos (9/5): Superb - The location The showers could have an space to leave your things like towel and clothes.
- Yeakub (2/5): Very poor - Not very good Stuff
- Mauricio (6/5): Pleasant -
- Linda (1/5): Bad -
- Linda (1/5): Not good - Close to the train station Shower drain was clogged for 2 days water up to my ankle. No hand soap. Tiny bathroom no space in shower area to place your toiletries
No light in personal bed space
Beds rock hard
VERY VERY LOUD STAFF AND OTHER PEOPLE
Feels cheap and wouldn’t stay again!
- Jewellyn (1/5): Very unpleasant! - Nothing They dont change bedsheet even i asked to change it yikess smell bad.
- Frazer (9/5): Superb - Booking a room was very simple along with the check out process. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The showers were kept very clean and the toilet on our floor was also clean. One of the staff members didn't speak English but as someone who is traveling as a tourist this is to be expected. However with a bit of Google translate it went smoothly.
- Jewellyn (1/5): Bad -
- Sarah (5/5): Passable -
- Ariel (6/5): Pleasant -
- Danish (8/5): Very good -
- Syed (5/5): Passable - What did i like?...The strength of the shower pressure , and the man at the desk allowed me to put my bags in behind reception around 12pm (2 hours before check in)...that is all that I liked. I was asked to check in at 2 to 3pm, as I had left bags at 12pm, earlier, but unfortunately, when I returned to check in, I was met by a lady, who could only speak Spanish, i even tried broken French to communicate, but she was getting frustrated, AND SO was I. I thought it may be that the usual staff were on Siesta! Another guest was witnessing this aswell and and even after Google translate helped with the check in, when it was his turn he was met with the same rudeness, and he even prompted her to say por favour/ please to him , when asking for his passport. Then... the dormitory room, there are no plug sockets inside the bed area, but are high up on the walls, which are fine BUT you can't plug anything in!... as the frame of the bunk beds are in line with the sockets...so with another 10 minutes of Google translate downstairs , with the" warden" she finally accompanied me upstairs into the dormitory room, to confirm the issue, so we both, mostly me, pulled the entire heavy bed frame away from the wall...which unknown to me until I returned (after the barca champions league game at 1130pm), and my fellow guest in the bottom bunk, that the main door into the dormitory, was not able to be closed so both light, and noise came in whenever someone went into the TINY ONE room toilet cupboard that served 12 beds in 2 separate dormitories! The shower areas are in the basement, so you need to get a lift 2/3 flights down. So yeah, I first stayed ever, in a hostel 9 nights ago, in majorca, then madrid, then seville, this was horrendous. Oh, and you are not given a code to come and go as you please, the same old ( only Spanish speaking lady) had said she was there 24 hours, and not to worry. I was worried as my passport and belongings are all upstairs , and if I returned at midnight, and she might not be there BUT to be fair she was.
- Miljan (7/5): Good -
- Karolina (8/5): good - location, bed check out at 10 am
- Rajput (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff.
Fully functional kitchen. - empty soap dispensers in the shower.
- people snoring in adjacent beds.
- kitchen waste should have been disposed of everyday (it smelled a little bit bad).
- Cyrille (7/5): Cheap clean accommodation matching budget contraints - The price was the reason as there was a large event leading to high hotel prices.
Showers and toilets were clean.
The possibility to arrive pretty late. The guy snoring all night. This was a risk in a shared room.
- Makouf (8/5): Very good -
- Melissa (8/5): Very good -
- Kamla (10/5): Exceptional - Yes
- Muneer (5/5): Passable -
- Abbasi (2/5): Very poor -
- Beatriz (4/5): I do not recommend at all - Near the train station (Sants). Ok for a one-nght stay. More than that would be unbearable. - Bedroom felt like prison, very small, no room to move.
- Very humid, I was extremely cold during the night.
- Small toilet with no soap
- Shower in a different floor, and not very pleasant.
- Very dirty in the corner of the bed. If you have a look next to the bed there were tissues and cigarettes.
- The door didn't close properly. So either you have to sleep with the door open or make a lot of noise and wake up everyone to close it.
- Nela (6/5): Pleasant -
- Md (1/5): I didn’t stay there..I got the demerits - Nothing to like about it.. I booked 2 single beds 12 beds room. I checked in 22/11/2024 when I see my bed, I was shocked to see the bed and the environment of it..anyway I put my stuff in the locker and go for dinner. After dinner when I came back and see my locker is broken and my bag is stolen.the reception two lady is involved in this issue..I left the hostel instantly…disappointing service by this hostel
- Md (1/5): Disappointing - Nothing Poor service
- Layla (8/5): Very good -
- Jitendra (1/5): Bad - Paid for breakfast and they told me it will be in 1 pm where do they serve breakfast at 1 paid for 2 days breakfast without eating very disappointed
- Caterina (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional - just a amazing and clean, well organised hostel
- Wilson (1/5): Worst hostel I’d been. - location. Everything. Worst hostel I’d been. Staff is the worst, the room is really small, the bathroom are nasty, the toilet are really dirty…you think you are saving some money because of the cheaper price, but considering what you will get for what you are paying, this economy doesn’t worth. Avoid this place, because Barcelona is an awesome city and it can ruin your experience there.
- Dorota (8/5): Very good -
- Harcharan (3/5): Poor -
- Linde (5/5): Passable -
- Reece (1/5): Bad! - Nothing. It was terrible. Extremely bad experience. The room was crowded and smelled extremely bad. Like stale urine. There were no showers (apparently they were 3 floors below in the basement) and only one toilet to be shared by both dormitories. The staff member was rude and extremely unhelpful.
- Eva (10/5): Exceptional - the skeleton on the garage
- Andrew (1/5): Bad -
- Arnold (7/5): Good -
- Arnold (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sabina (8/5): Very good -
- Deliağa (8/5): Very good - the woman was so great
- Grainne (4/5): Disappointing - The location People I was sharing with were up most of the night either going for a cigarette or vomiting. They would turn on the light. The curtains around the bed had metal rings which were so loud when you drew them back.
- Polina (1/5): I would recommend to avoid this place - Nothing really The property was super dirty, the stuff was passive aggressive, the humidity in the shower downstairs was dangerously bad.
- Hyuno (4/5): Disappointing - Location. There is no air conditioning until 11pm lol. And they turn it off at 7am. It is so small and so hot in the room. It was so uncomfortable while staying there.
The old lady there is not nice.
- Emilie (7/5): Convenient but very basic - Convenient location and nice staff Felt a bit like jail. Also the door didn’t close properly, so I heard a lot of noise during the night
- Ruben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peichen (4/5): Disappointing - The bed is clean, comfortable and stable, so it doesn’t create noise. The staff doesn’t speak English and was not very friendly.
You’ll need to pay extra for baggage storage after checking out.
The socket was blocked by the bed frame so I couldn’t charge my phone.
- Emmanuel (9/5): Superb -
- Ali (6/5): Pleasant -
- Latreche (5/5): Passable -
- Daniel (3/5): Poor -
- Shir (5/5): Passable - Shower and toilet are ok, however shower- floor -1 which is not so comfortable. Don't have much to say.. if price is cheap and you need closeness to the train- than ok. Stayed one night to be close to train station.
- Stanley (2/5): Very poor -
- Peter (4/5): Greedy owners without any decency or shame. Reception staff very friendly. - Reception staff friendly & welcoming. After paying £30 for a night in a shoe box, the owners then further price gouge already paying guests for use of luggage room. That is disgraceful, is absolutely
not common practice & represents absolute, disgusting, greed. Owners have zero shame. Staff are great, owners are shameless. I've travelled all over Europe, this is the first time in 45 years that I've ever seen accommodation have the gaul & cheek to charge people to use the luggage room. Also, the lock on our dorm room was broken. The owners of this business are exploitative types. Make no mistake, this accommodation is over priced, run down & in need of repair. The owners are glorified slum landlords.
- Nur (5/5): Passable -
- Riley (9/5): Superb -
- Sushipackdushi (5/5): cheap and average, good value for students - excellent location in centre of barcelona, close to main train station Sants which is walkable ~10mins. receptionist lady was very helpful and even let me borrow a foldable chair for me to bring to the F1 race. only 2 showers for each gender respectively for the whole hostel to use, so u can expect long wait times. shower was dirty, light keeps turning off in the shower due to weak sensor, need to keep pressing tap on shower to keep water running (it times out in a few seconds and turns off automatically), bedside was dirty, no light inside bedding once u draw the curtain on ur bed
- Cristiano (10/5): Exceptional - The hostel is amazing. Very good location, 2 min from the metro Station Plaza Sanz. Very good team, family environment, very clean and organized. I really recommend this place. Nothing
