• Lynn (8/5): - This hotel is right in the floating city of Venice, on a back street off the Grand Canal. It is an amazing location!
• Rhonda (4/5): - Bed was uncomfortable. Pillows very hard and uncomfortable. Service for leaving luggage after check out was good
• Maureen (6/5): Misleading pictures on website - Our room was awful with only very basic equipment. Bathroom ok but needed work on it. Sockets didn’t work where there was a light switch because as soon as you plugged the adaptor in the light went out. The reception area and dining room were better but in general the whole hotel needed a thorough clean and refurbishment. Not impressed and grossly overpriced.

• Marty (10/5): Pleasant, Comfortable Room - A nice room, comfortable, good location, friendly staff, reasonable rates, very good breakfast. My only suggestion would have been to be informed that our room was on the 4th floor, requiring 5 flights of steps. Having had knee surgery recently, this was a drawback for me; however, there is a one-person elevator. Be sure to ask about it if needed!
• BOGUSLAW (10/5): - Very close to train station. Ideal for travellers with luggage (travelling to or from other parts of Italy). Hidden in a narrow alley, two minutes walk to Grand Canal but away from the noise of the crowds. Guest House sharing building with Hotel Agli Artisit. Very basic (but adequate) furnishing. Rooms with private bathroom available.
• Gale (6/5): - First the pros: GREAT location! You are literally minutes walking distance from the train station, the Vaporeto, restaurants, etc The Cons: (1) and this is a major one: When they say they have air conditioning, they DON’T mean year-round! We arrived in mid-to-late April only to discover that the AC would not be available until mid-May. The staff did help by finding us a fan and it was cool at night, but forget about staying in the room during the day or sleeping in and taking a shower! (2) The slowest and one of the smallest lifts in Europe. Be prepared for multiple trips if more than one person with a bag.

• David (2/5): - No sound isolation at all; I could hear the next door guests' snoring and a phone conversation from the floor below. Water pressure is highly inconsistent. Room was very basic and barren - no fridge or heater, sparse decorations, etc. The room was much worse than other similarly-prices three-star hotels I've stayed at in Italy.

• Sagar (4/5): - We didn’t like our stay here. Bathroom door latch broke and then we had to call the help as my son was inside. The help came and then broke the door. Next morning, There wasn’t any water supply in the bathroom. The hotel manager then upgraded us to a better room and gave us complimentary breakfast. The elevator is very slow and hardly 2 people can go.
• Amjad Ali (8/5): - Great location with walkable distance to train station and many other attractions nearby. Rooms are very basic and you don’t have electric kettle in the room. Breakfast was a bonus.
• Alex (8/5): - Surprisingly satisfactory for the price. A great value. Hotel is a short walk from the train station and not too far from the port. Porters are available outside train station to take your luggage for 15 to 20 euros. Hotel had fairly large bathroom with shower. And the air conditioning worked! Breakfast was included with 2 servers helping with coffees and teas. Would stay there again for 1 or 2 nights.

• SOPHIE (6/5): - We only stayed one night in room 10 which is the accessible room. It was close to everything and suited us well. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was ample. Only downside was smelly drain and slightly noisy location
• Andrew James (8/5): - I booked this hotel specifically because it was close to the train station. There was a last minute schedule change so I booked it a few weeks before travel and it was a good price. I did not notice that the bathroom for my room was down the hall. It was specific to my room which made it ok and I got used to it. I did not know or was unaware of this at booking. The room I had needed to be painted and updated but it served my needs. my cousin was in a different room and it was superior to my room. I think it depends upon which room you book. The pictures made it look alot more updated than it was. The elevator was too small to be practical.
• Luisa (4/5): - Terrible, this is a set of 3 hotels, after we checked in they send us to a hotel "we did not paid for" that was just awful, you could feel the bed springs. I called a asked to move us to the Allegiari hotel and they refused , horrible night. In the morning we noticed we had bed bug bites.

Check-in a bit laborious, slow, and confusing (if you are staying down the road, which I had passed but didn't clock) The annexe (Florida) is a bit threadbare and shabby in public areas, and a bit of a ghost town, but room itself was fine. Breakfast was good, served by staff instead of usual buffet (because of restrictions) they worked really hard, and hygiene faultless. Reception staff helpful about leaving luggage. i would happily stay again.

Breakfasts in hotel do not resemble breakfast, but some snacks I think the only plus of this hotel is the locationVery close from bus station
• Verified traveler (8/5): Simple hotel - Room wasn't given in the hotel I booked cos of weather condition and was asked to go another hotel with an upgrade. The exterior of the hotel doesn't look good but interior is fine. No breakfast in the new hotel so have to go back to the hotel for breakfast as booked room with breakfast. Overall it was a pleasant stay and the lady on the counter was very pleasant

Our room was nice but a little tight for two people especially when trying to access the wardrobe. The outside balcony was a nice plus.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - This property was okay. It is located near the train station and grand canal. This was key for us as we were only staying for one night to catch a flight the next day (we stayed in a different hotel the previous 2 nights). We arrived early for check-in and baggage was stored in an unsecured open area. Hhanksfully they were able to check us in early at 1:30pm. Unfortunately the elevator was not working and we had to carry our luggage up to the 4th floor. The room was a little tight but manageable. It had 2 twin beds and a double king. The bathroom was adequate although the shower was small. Overall the room was very clean and had a large television. The breakfast was very basic. There were no hot options but rather variations of bread, cheese and juices. The space was very tight and the staff were doing the dishes during the service as there were not enough plates, cups and utensils. The staff seemed to be stressed and it showed in their hospitality. Overall this was a very basic hotel with minimal amnesties, average standards and a sparse breakfast. It is a cheap option in Venice near some key areas (train stations, Grand Canal, etc.). This is the only reason we ended up staying here as we needed to catch a flight the next day.

• Verified traveler (4/5): - The staff was really nice and friendly. There was some confusion about my checkin and I stayed at the property across the street for the first night. This room was perfect! No complaints at all. Then the second night I was moved to this property and was quite disappointed. .. there were mosquitoes in my room and other little insects (not bedbugs thank goodness)! I asked about it at the front desk and he said that there was something I could plug in in he room that would kill them. I couldn't find it and didn't believe that such a thing existed. I spent the whole night with the light on and under the covers. The air conditioner also started to drip and made a huge puddle in the morning.

Rare find to have a hotel room in Venice with beds for 4. Mattresses firm, pillows flimsy. Right next to train station which means no luggage over any bridges. Once elevator is completed, it will be a great location.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Worst Hotel in Venice and the World! - Hotel claims rooms are new, however, the beds are the worst (broken and slanted), rust all over the bathroom which was NOT even connected to our room. The a/c in our room was so loud that it sounds like an engine is in the room and it didn’t even cool our room. The customer service rep at the desk was rude at check-in speaking rudely about us in Italian, as she did not know I spoke Italian.

Additionally the shaver aocket in the bathroom was broken and unsafe. Raised this with the staff and again ignored. • George (4/5): Noisy from both outside and corridor. grumpy staff - To start off when we arrived and was told that our room had a broken toilet so they was going to send us to another hotel. Which was a 5 minute walk away and told we had to come back to this hotel for breakfast. We accepted these things happen. When we arrived at the 'other' hotel it had no signage, no lights on and no one present to let us in. So upon getting back to the original hotel the receptionist said he had let us in the other hotel via the buzzer(he didn’t). But regardless no one was there to give us keys etc. So it was all a lie. The receptionist then eventually found us a room in this hotel. The bed was comfortable and was clean, but the door had a large gap at the bottom which let in noise both ways. Our sleep was interrupted constantly from the early hours due to people walking their suitcases over the cobble streets outside creating a mass of noise. Not the hotels fault, but something to consider if you want a nice uninterrupted sleep. Breakfast was ok, staff was very grumpy and as much as we tried to be polite(in Italian) to the staff it was ignored and not one smile or word was expressed from them. Overall the location was perfect as it is near the station and starts the perfect walk around San Marco just a shame about the above. Please be warned that your bathroom will be down the corridor to your room. So a quick run to the toilet or shower will result in having to put something on your feet and cover up.

• Janda (4/5): - Great location and lovely staff. Although was extremely disappointed with the amount of dead and live mosquitos both splattered and flying around the white room. I understand Venice is prone to these little creatures but it became a bit of an annoyance when you couldn’t sleep very well at night due to the amount landing and biting you. Apart from this I would recommend. Can’t fault any other part in any way.
• Steven (4/5): Not the best - Check in lobby gives quite a good impression until you are taken next door to where your room is, dull dingy and not appealing at all, no lift and lots of stairs to climb, no offer of help with suitcase and we were on top floor, when we eventually got up to our room we were pleasantly surprised, much better than we were expecting, unfortunately no English channels on tv and no tea/coffee making fascilities, on the plus side a good nights sleep in a comfortable bed, clean modern bathroom and very close to railway station.
• Wai Ngan (4/5): Not recommended - Room was not fixed with aircon & heating is centrally control. To increase air ventilation, have to open window. Many mosquitoes in area. Was given room on ground floor, facing a busy side walk. Passerbys talking at top of voice, dragging luggage, smoking from 5am till after midnight. Wrote a negative check in review on unhelpful counter staff, manager replied to hotel.com that he will deal with this issue at hotel directly, but nothing was followed up. The only advantage of hotel is it's location. 3 min walk from train station. Easy to find. Good for travellers with big & heavy luggage and commuting via train. No bridge to cross.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Not deserve for 3 star hotel. - They put us in 4 4th floor levrl with No elevator, which cause my husband worsen his heart condition.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Disappointing - Hotel rooms are situated in an older building, in a quiet area. Please advise that there are NO elevators. We received a room different than the one listed. But we were already winded from climbing 4 flights of stairs to even say anything. There was no phone in the room which was an inconvenience. This is also supposed to be a “non smoking” hotel but the entire room had an intense smoke smell. I understand that smoke may linger into rooms from people smoking on their balconies but the windows were closed upon arrival and it was unbearably evident that someone smoked in the room. For the sake of our health, we decided to make the hike back down the stairs to see if it would be possible switch to another room but the front desk agent stated that there werent any available, he didnt even offer to smell the room himself and argued that the room didnt smell of smoke because its “Non smoking” hotel and truly made it seem like it was an unreasonable request. The walls were stained, curtains were filthy with several cigarette holes. In addition to that discrepancy, the toilet clearly had a major sewer issue and we’ve never seen a shower that small. We were overall disappointed in our stay and would not recommend nor stay at this place again.
• LOM (10/5): - all is fine from the provision of the hotel, except mosiquitos quite a few in the room, understand hotel install device but may not forbidden all for the natural cause with canal nearby.
• Terri (2/5): Unethical and Deceiving - When we arrived in our room, there was no bathroom. I checked with the front desk to learn we had an external private bathroom. Not only was the bathroom down the hall, but opening the door with the ancient skeleton key was a challenge. My husband uses the bathroom several times during the night so the arrangement was unacceptable. Not once in the process of making the reservation was there any mention about an external private bathroom. We also thought we had booked at the Hotel degli Artisti. I have no idea how during the reservation process our reservation was for the Alloggi Agli Artisti. I did receive an email conformation, but I assumed we were getting what was presented and paid for during booking. The confirmation does state private bath external and Hotel Allogi. We had booked for two nights but could only stay for one because of the bathroom down the hall. I discussed with manager the fact we had been deceived. His only response was the confirmation showed an external private bath which was true, but the confirmation is received after booking and payment. I have booked many reservations on line, and I never was deceived before. I find this transaction to be very unethical and deceitful. We paid for two nights could only stay for one. They told us to contact Expedia who apparently paid the hotel and sent the confirmation.
• Mary (8/5): - 3rd floor walk up. No lift. Bathroom not in the room. It was at the end of the hall.
• Sanjoy (10/5): Nice hotel and great location - One of the best hotels we stayed during our Europe tour. Can't beet the location 3 min walk from the train station. Room was nice, clean and had a private balcony. Private Bathroom was outside the room, nice clean and spacious. There is no elevator in the hotel, which made it bit tough to carry the luggage up the 3 floors. Breakfast was included in out book and it was quite decent breakfast compare to other places we experience during our stay.

• Abby (2/5): Worst experience - Were placed on the 4th level floor which is 3 flights of stairs per level to climb. No assistance was offered. We were placed between 2 rooms full of students who came home and started fighting for 2+ hours. When going to call reception we identified that the room had no phone. 6am same morning someone tried to enter our room twice. We got no sleep. Hotel staff did absolutely nothing to assist us. Night two there was still no phone and we woke in the morning to try use the shower and NO water. Minor pain points: - no kettle in room - queen bed is a single sofa folded out- not comfortable - Part of the hotel is a seperate building so no reception at door. If door was left open, would not be secure building.

• Alan (2/5): - We were put at 3 floor and it is actually at 4th floor , without elevator. We have to carry the luggage upstairs. The bathroom is 'private' but it is 'external'. Watch out the 'external' bathroom, it is dirty, out-dated and inconvenient. The location is convenient to all places and train station. We should had booked a more cleaner hotel. Overall experience of the hotel is not good. Not recommending.
• Cheryl (8/5): Very good, with only one problem. - All was excellent, very good customer service. The only negative was that I could never get the key to work for our private bathroom down the hall. I would try and try! My husband always had to do it for me.
• Mirasel (6/5): Not comfortable/External Toilet on the other floor - The room is clean and spacious, no lift is acceptable but it was really horrible the toilet is on the 2nd floor, really hard for us especially if you're having a kid with you.
• John (8/5): Great location - Friendly service, good breakfast. Hotel rooms are at a different entrance, and no elevator. You need your key to lock your room from inside as well. Hotel tax is a bit confusing: sign at front desk indicates 3.50 €/p/n, my hotel booking indicates 2€ for adult and 1€& for 16 year & under and we were charged 4€ for and adult and 15-year old.

• Oscar (8/5): Affordable but be wary of no elevators - Hotel was awesome except it did not have elevators. I booked 3 rooms, and 2 of them were on the top floors and it was challenging bringing your suitcase from the ground floor all the way to the top. Other than that, the rooms were big, restrooms were clean and the receptionist was super nice.

• Court (6/5): Good enough for a quick, no fluff, stay. - Staff & Lobby were great. Room was clean but average, as expected for the price. It had a tiny bathroom, simple linens & air-conditioning. The location was less than 3mins walk to train station so perfect for an early departure. We missed the breakfast because we left too early so can't comment on it. As always, there are a few number of steps involved and no elevator. The one disappointment was that the balconies/windows were blocked off. You could open them to allow a minimum of fresh air in but you couldn't see through/out them. It felt very claustrophobic. I attached a picture for your reference.

• Francis (8/5): A Few Steps from Stazione Santa Lucia - The room was comfortably sized but the private bathroom was down the hallway. No elevator in the annex we were in. Not a great value for money since you are paying a premium for the location.
• Manish (10/5): Nice hotel near to station - Location friendly. Easy to find. Very near to santa lucia train station. Its hardly 150 m walking distance from station. Reception is in different building complex than hotel room building. Reception staff is friendly. Smooth check in. Hotel doesnt has elevator. Luckily we had room on first floor. Hotel building structure is typically old fashioned venice building . Room was clean and more spacious. Our room was having private bathroom. Some of the hotels in venince are having shared bathroom. So make sure your hotel has private bathroom. The water bus station is very nearby from hotel. All major attractions are nearby. There are some good restaurants available near to hotel room. Continental breakfast was delicious. There isn’t any waterkettle/microwave in room. Reception staff is very friendly! We had to checkout early morning ,the receptionist helped us opening the breakfast room earlier . I definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. Its value for money.

• Leslie (8/5): - Honestly, it’s run down, but it’s a great location. It wasn’t a problem at all. The bathroom lights didn’t work but the bed was comfortable and their was air conditioning. It also has free breakfast.
• Laurel (2/5): Terrible hotel. Won’t recommend ever - No one available to place luggage in our rooms. We rented five rooms for 20. We were in 4 th floor with NO LIFT! That’s ridiculous! We are traveling with 7 children and climbing up and down taking children and baggage up and down. The rooms were cramped ! Some rooms had a/c and others were sweltering. Two rooms had no water for showers in the morning
• Lewis (8/5): - We wanted to use the safe in the room, and the front desk told us they would come unlock safe, and they never did. You have to climb LOTS of stairs with your luggage.
• Verified traveler (2/5): - Mr. Expedia Regarding the Hotel Alloggi Agli Aristi in Venice, it was the worst experience we had, we were taken to another door of the hotel that had no elevator and our room was on the fourth floor. The room was not what I had seen in the photo of your ad. We have not spent the night in that Hotel we went to another that was totally different very clean and new. My question is if you can reimburse me the US $ 169.74 that we paid since we did not spend the night in that Hotel. Best regards. Graciela Guzman

• Val (8/5): Much better than expected - After reading multiple negative reviews, we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. We were given a triple with 2 beds when we asked for 2 beds, but at the price for a double, I think. It was cold outside but very warm inside. The worst part was climbing 100 steps up to 4th floor.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Cheaters! - As I arrived the guy straight up lied not just to me but to others regarding some repairs. He took me and dumped me in the worse possible hotel you can ever imagine. It’s called The canal never ever go there. If they offer to take you to different hotel say no. This places appears to be quieter place and most guy be better than the place they dumped me. Watch out these people are so dodgy!

• Verified traveler (2/5): Didn't even spend the night. - Our reservation was for one night but we didn't actually sleep in the room. As soon as we got into the building, it smelled like dead animal. We thought it was the several bags of trash right inside by the stairs but the rooms upstairs and bathrooms had the same smell so it must have been inside the air conditioning. We didn't stay, we were in for two hours and then picked up and left, we slept in the airport. The smell was unbearable so we told the gentleman at the check in desk that our flight was very early because we felt bad telling him since he was very nice at check-in. The floors in the room were very dirty too and there was no soap in the bathroom. The location was great, I really wish this would have been a better experience. I definitely do not recommend this hotel

• AC (4/5): Not worth it - Nor worth the money we paid. 1)Street to hotel is small space between two cafes, graffiti wall makes it less inviting. 2)Discovered location, two hotels with the same name so we went to the wrong one, and were rudely informed our check in was across the street. 3)Room was 5 flights of stairs, no lift/elevator so if you’re disabled this isn’t the place for you. 4)Room is situated near a prep school of sorts, so late night noise is loud! 5)Room has a quuen, twin, and day bed crammed into it with wardrobe, and wabbly table. Decor is cheap, bed is spring mattress with no comfort, windows with no screens allowed dozens of mosquitoes to enter and bite us during our first night, lesson learned! 6)Bathroom has no ventilation, fan, and is crammed with toilet, biday, small sink, and shower stall. 7)Floor is warped, walls are dirty with dead mosquitoes from previous guests, and nosie from next room was unavoidable, rooms are in need of major upgrade!
