• Joseph (2/5): At least the room was clean when we arrived - A lumber delivery business starts with the forklift beeping non-stop at 7am, drunken by-passers until 2am both nights, and a homeless person's bed and belongings were torched at 1am on the 2nd night. We left four days early and have been trying to get a refund since, ut the only communications seems to be initiated by me for both Ayres and hotels.com.
• Ana (10/5): Lovely apart in my favourite area of Buenos Aires - It was the perfect accommodation and location for me in one of the nicest areas of central Buenos Aires, close to embassies, traditional old mansions, posh shops, parks. Lovely pool to refresh myself in a very hot day. Spacious studio apart with all the facilities and nice large double bed. My only problem was having a tub in the bathroom instead of a walk-in shower. But that is personal. Reception assistants were very friendly and helpful.

• Zhanna (8/5): - The swimming pool was extremely dirty. You cannot use it. The hot tub next to the swimming pool was not working and very dirty. The patio around pool area was not clean. People use pool area for smoking. Most of people staying in this plaice for 1-6 month. We thought it was a hotel. If you arrived after 6 pm you will have a very hard time to check because the front desk is close. If you do not speak Spanish it will be a nightmare to check in.

• David (6/5): Housekeeping - When we booked this hotel through a booking agency the housekeeping was listed as daily. The confirmation it stated on demand. When we asked for our towels to be replaced we were told it was to be done twice during our six night stay. The reception staff seemed to be limited in what they could do. On Sunday we were told there was no cleaning staff. Our concern was that the towels did not dry in the bathroom and using wet towels is a health hazard.

• Veronica (8/5): They don’t inform you correctly about extra tax - Half way into my stay, receptionists informed me that I was supposed to pay 21% extra for tax and they’d not be able to give me a receipt for it. I didn’t make a big deal of it and paid it. When I was about to embark back into my flight, someone informed me that i had the right to request that tax back at the Airport had I had the receipt from the hotel. It was too late to get my taxes back but I then realized that the hotel staff not only failed to informed me correctly about me being able to collect those taxes back at the Airport but also refused to give me a receipt for it. Not very happy about that.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Overpriced for what the room has to offer - I’ll start with the bad and end with the good. The road noise outside was horrible and sounded like the cars were actually in your room, the pillows felt like they were full of rocks as they were uneven, the bed was like sleeping on a slab of concrete, slightly dated rooms and could do with better curtains to stop so much light entering, gym could do with a revamp. Apart from that, great location and central to restaurants, bars, park area, close to the famous Recoleta Cemetery and central for other sight seeing.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Very noisy at weekends - Nice hotel in convenient location but we had two problems that would stop us from booking again. the hotel is on a street that is quiet by day but at night time at weekends is extremely noisy. There was noise of people partying on the street all night until about 4 am or later. The hotel room had large windows that open outwards, they are above a bench in the room, there is nothing to prevent the windows from opening fully. We were traveling with young children and I felt the windows were dangerous and it would have been possible for a child to fall out. I would not recommend the hotel to families with young children.
• Christina (6/5): Great location, Nice Staff, Rough Room - Stayed for one night on the way out of the country. Staff was pleasant, and although the room wasn't available early, they stored the luggage for us, free of charge. Check-in was simple. We arranged for a taxi to pick us up in the morning for our flight, and the lobby was beautiful, although we didn't utilize it. The room, on the other hand, left a LOT to be desired in terms of style, comfort, cleanliness, and upkeep. Beds were pretty unstable and uncomfortable with a strange, corduroy bedspread covering sandpaper-like white sheets. Scrapes and markings on the walls where furniture had been moved around many times and scraped up against it-- window ledge obviously broken/taped together-- window coverings broken. In the bathroom, toilet was also missing some pieces, and the cleanliness was just so-so. Big clump of hair fell out from one of the towels we used, too. Street can be kind of loud at night, although this didn't bother us too much. Tons of potential for this cute little hotel in a great location, but needs to up their game with the room.
• Verified traveler (4/5): LOUD street - I liked the room and the location but the noise gave me two bad nights of sleep. If you have a front-facing room, there's a bar that seems to be open until 5 am and people gather on the street outside it.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Poor service. - This hotel has very poor wifi service. In fact, it was unavailable for most of the four days I was there. The hotel never made any effort to compensate us for the lack of wi-fi service. My friend requested a late check-out. They charged him extra but told him that he had to move to another room for the late check-out because their reservation desk already booked his current room and the reservation desk is located somewhere else. Nevermind the fact that the room my friend relocated to was uncleaned. All this is even more upsetting knowing that one of my group members could not make the trip, never got a refund, and the hotel still sold his room for all 4 days to someone else. This was confirmed when frontdesk told us the hotel has been fully occupied for all 4 days. The bathroom is pathetic. Caulk was cracking off the bathtub and sink edges. The small glass partition for the shower did nothing to prevent water from spilling out of the bathtub. The photos of the hotel do not show the details of the wear and tear. The location is great because the hotel is near the corner of Uriburu and Vicente Lopez, which is one side of the Cementerio in Recoleta. But on Friday and Saturday nights, the sports bar on the same block stays noisy till 4AM.
• Verified traveler (8/5): An apartment in a very good location - We had a very good stay. The location in Recoleta cannot be beat. It's a very lively neighborhood, including the famous cemetery... WiFi worked well for us, and the delivered breakfast was plenty. The kitchenette was very useful, as there are grocery stores nearby and we could make light meals in the room in the evening after a long day of walking. As other people said, it would be nice to have CNN in English, which many hotels have. It's certainly not a luxury hotel, but the price was reasonable (especially since the cancellation of the VAT on hotels in Argentina).

Window shades not functioning correctly. Overall disappointed for 85usd per night (incl taxes) Staff was nice and professional but for this price (Expedia) you can do much better.

The breakfast was just delightful and was delivered to our room. This hotel is in a lovely neighborhood and we felt very safe walking at all times. There are also many restaurants close by.
• Elizabeth (6/5): Fantastic for the price! - Ayres was great for the price - at 45 USD, you really couldn't beat it. Rooms are spacious, though a bit run down. We don't spend much time in our hotel rooms, so that really didn't matter to us. Great turn-down service - they even washed our dirty dishes! Staff at the front desk was VERY helpful and polite. Wifi was good. Definitely would stay again.
• mp (10/5): Close to Recoleta Cemetary - did not realise that this hotel was set up like an apartment building, but no matter, it felt safer, I guess, to be buzzed in and out. Check in was hassle free, room was spacious and clean. Wifi worked, and breakfast was actually brought up to the room every morning (you have to order from a menu the previous night). The only problem we had was the bar around the corner is open ALL night and even though we were on the 6th floor, we could hear the loud, horrible music throughout the night. I don't know if staying in a higher floor would make a difference.

They cared for our luggage before check-in and all day before our flight home. Their suggestions of where to eat and what to see were great. Continental breakfast in the room was adequate and the coffee was good. Service was very quick and friendly. Room was very clean and king size bed was extremely comfortable. We had a room facing the cemetery and it was very quiet.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Great location, poor experience - Not a hotel, an aparthotel, and mostly an apartment. Breakfast was extreemly poor (delivered in the morning to the room, 1 piece of bread, 1 piece of ham, 1 piece of cheese, bad coffee.....you get the point). Wifi was very poor, require reconnecting if you disconnected to leave for 1/2 hour or overnight.... In general, inattentive, disinterest by staff and except for its great location, a poor value.
• janice (8/5): A good place to stay - we were there only for one night but will be going back for another 10 days. The neighbourhood is good and staff helpful. It is quite basic but just fine for what we need which is friendly helpful staff and a central location.
• Terrie (6/5): Great location in Recoleta - This property is in a great location in Recoleta. The property itself is okay. It was very clean, and the room was a decent size. The room had a queen bed, dining table, TV, and a small kitchenette. We thought every room had a balcony and that is why we picked this property since we like to sit outside in the morning or evening. However, we were given a room facing the street that did not have a balcony, and it seems there were a few others that did not have balconies either. So, it you want a balcony make sure you ask for a room with a balcony. Also, our room faced the street and it was extremely loud and noisy. They have several rooms in the back of the property so ask for a room in the back if you want peace and quiet. Also, the hot tub was not heated and the water was very cold. They have a nice sitting area by the pool. The continental breakfast consisted of coffee, OJ, breads, cereal, milk, and yogurt. There are numerous cafes, grocery stores, etc. around this property. All in all it is a decent property, but I might look elsewhere next time.

The rooms/apartments are nice - it would be cool if they could invest into coffee machines, and in the fridges that don't make loud noise every 15 min. • steven (10/5): Recoleta Efficiency - The hotel matched my expectations perfectly for the price. The location could not be beat - Recoleta neighborhood is safe and trendy. We were surrounded by beautiful architecture, the recoleta cemetery, and many great parks. Fantastic eateries and bars were steps and/or blocks from the room. An extremely walkable and pleasant neighborhood. The room was small, but modern, clean, and updated nicely. The wifi was excellent, as was the shower's water pressure! Morning room service breakfast was simple, but great for our needs. We were on the 7th floor and had some neighborhood views - the trees came up to our room, which was a great noise buffer. Double secured lobby doors, 24 hour front desk services, and in room small safe ensured a safe trip. My friend and I spent many late nights drinking wine and playing cards in the kitchenette - a memory I will enjoy for years to come!

They gave us good advice on all kinds of matters from picking out a good taxi, to the best place to exchange our money to helping with our luggage. The breakfast provided in the morning was very nice, and we enjoyed being so close to Buenos Aires attractions. I would definately recommend this place, and will certainly stay here again if I make it back to Argentina.

• Cebo (10/5): Nice hotel close to everything in Recoletta - Pleasant staff. Excellent service. Meets your needs. Staff was polite and quick to attend to your needs.
• MmTw (6/5): Perfect location in Recoleta but..... - Situated right near the cemetery in Recoleta and in the middle of lots of great places! Perfect for nights out and has transport links close by. The room was very comfy, especially the bed! However the bathroom was quite small in comparison to the room with a very noisy fan. The blinds did not fully cover the windows letting light in. Being in the centre of everything it was noisey most of the night. Breakfast is served to the room, this is poor and you have to use your kitchenette for cutlery and plates (no bowls). Pool was tiny and not clean. Also as we were on first floor we took the steps, bins were left in the stairwell which smelt, so too was our breakfast tray for the day. Great location for price, would stay just for that.
• alfonso (8/5): Great location - This is an apartment hotel in a great location close to the nicest areas in the Recoleta area .Services are limited. Continental breakfast is brought to your room, no restaurant in the premises. We had a comfortable studio equipped with a stove, fridge and micro wave. It was very clean, good beds. Staff was pleasant although had limited information on tourist attractions and services. Good value for money.
• Iris (10/5): Excellent value and location - We stayed for 1 night before cruise departure. There were 10 of us. Booking was easy. Hotel is an easy cab ride from airport, in the Recoleta neighborhood. It is an apartment hotel. Spacious rooms. English speaking staffs are friendly and helpful. The only minor thing is that the Friday-night bar crowd may be a bit noisy. Overall it was an excellent stay.
• Pam (8/5): Great location , comfortable and roomy. - This hotel is really a studio apartment. Great location walkable to many sites and lots of restaurant and shopping options. Comfortable and roomy with very helpful staff. We felt safe day and night in this area . Would definitely stay here again.
• Cheryl (6/5): - Great hotel, great location, nice to have breakfast in the room. Giving a lower rating because the front desk staff are dishonest. They have a private car that you can take to the airport for a fee, when we inquired the difference in price between the car and a street taxi the front desk man quoted us $100 pesos more to take a cab. We knew he was lying right away and took the cab for what turned out to be $100 pesos less.
• Carlos Cartagena (10/5): WHAT A GREAT PLACE! - It was a fantastic hotel with friendly, kind and helpful staff. Greatly located in a clean, safe and upscale neighborhood near many attractions, parks, nightlife and shopping. The rooms were nice and clean with kitchenettes and a fridge. Breakfast was included and delivered to our room daily. The reception personnel went above and beyond to accommodate our needs with our luggage and the free WiFi internet worked perfectly well throughout the hotel. Overall it was a very pleasant stay! We would definitely stay at Ayres again!

• Chelsea (10/5): Satisfying and affordable - We enjoyed our stay at Ayres de Recoleta Hotel (note the actual building is called Ayres de Recoleta Apartments). The price for the neighborhood was affordable and we got more space and more amenities than you would get at a hotel. We stayed for three nights. The rooms have two single beds, a closet with safe, big TV, air conditioning, dining table with room for four, and small kitchenette with a little fridge and two-burner stove. Everything was clean and well-cared for. The front desk staff speak good English and are helpful and friendly. The hotel is conveniently adjacent to a large shopping mall, the Recoleta Cemetery, and a number of restaurants; however, there is a good deal of street noise, and people stay out late here, so bring ear plugs if you are sensitive and want quiet. We felt safe in this neighborhood even walking around alone at night. The hotel does not provide breakfast. The wireless internet is free but we experienced connectivity issues with apple devices. Most sights we wanted to see were within a 3-mile radius and we were able to travel there easily and affordably by foot or taxi. If I were in Buenos Aires again I would be happy to stay at this hotel.
• shapoopie (6/5): Ok - My only issue was the check in time consistency between the website and the hotel. We were emailed to let us know we were allowed to check in at 1. We arrived at 1 and waiting an hour and a half for our room because the hotels check in time was at 2. Also the pool was in need of cleaning and scummy at at the bottom

Reception saff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. Good size rooms. Good strong showers, everything worked, just like in a developed country. Loved it.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel, with the perfect location. - This little hotel is nicely located. Waking distance to great places. What we enjoyed the most in the city and the hotel was its people. Well done guys!!! One suggestion for anyone traveling to Argentina is to bring dollars in cash. I was surprise beyond believe was too see the huge difference in your money value when you play with credit card or take money out of the bank machine, versus paying staff around the city in dollar.
• Mark (10/5): Fabulous - This hotel is just fantastic! The rooms are studio apartments fully equipped kitchenette. This would be very comfortable for one night or a month. The staff is fantastic! Breakfast is delivered to your room. The service is fast and friendly. A few of the past reviews thought it was too noisy but we did not find that to be the case. You certainly can hear the bars but I had no trouble sleeping on the very comfortable bed. Highly recommend!!!!

• Verified traveler (8/5): Very noisy street, specially at night. - I could not have any sleep between 11 pm and 6 am on the Saturday I spent the night in the hotel, after a 15 hour flight from Australia. There are some bars and restaurants on the street and I got a room facing the street. Maybe the rooms at the back are more quiet. Apart from no sleep, staff and service were good. The good shower was very helpful in the morning...

They are friendly, helpful, and very courteous...and I would give it a "good" rating...would recommend it to a friend on a budget, but not someone looking for 4 stars.

• Karan (8/5): Nice accommodation in great area. - Stayed at Ayres de Recoleta for 2 nights - nice apartment-style accommodation situated in a great area. Room was nicely set up, and staff were efficient if not spectacularly helpful. Surrounding area is nice, and you're right near Recoleta cemetery, but the only transport connections are by bus. Nearby shopping mall (less than 100m walk) provides all the conveniences.
