- FHath78 (10/5): Perfect Location, lovely amenities. - The hotel is situated literally at the end of the Ponte Vecchio, perfect for visiting all the local sights. The staff were warm and welcoming, the rooms are of a good size with all you need for your stay. The breakfast was plentiful and varied and the coffee was delicious! I would highly recommend.
- NikkiNags (10/5): Girlie Florence Trip - 26th -29th April 2026 - This was my second stay at this hotel in Florence, this time with my best friend on her first visit to the city. I had such great memories from staying here with my family in 2024, and it was just as wonderful returning again. The location is perfect, close to Ponte Vecchio and within walking distance of all the main sights. Since my last visit, the hotel has been beautifully renovated, including a new breakfast area on the sixth floor with stunning views of the Duomo and a lovely relaxation lounge. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming throughout our stay. A special thank you to Younis, the manager, and his team for looking after us so well and upgrading us to a beautiful, spacious suite. Younis also gave us some great local recommendations which made our trip even more special. I would highly recommend this hotel — fantastic location, beautiful rooms, and exceptional service.
- 899jeremyb (10/5): Charming Inn on the Ponte Vecchio - I chose this place because I knew it’d be fine, and it was steps away from where our niece is living. I was happily surprised. Very comfortable bed in a clean, bright room with polished wood and in great condition. Friendly front desk staff, and a good breakfast that I was surprised was included with my booking. Would absolutely stay again, and for longer, if visiting Florence. Location is amazing for any tourist-oriented visit.

Otherwise, lovely staff, with a special mention to the rooftop restaurant where the ladies who made my morning coffee laughed at my Italian pronunciation for two coffees.

When I left a negative review about discovering I was locked in the hotel at 5:30 AM, hotel manager had a clerk call my room to harass me. The room 505 was filthy. Second evening when we returned from a day touring, toothpaste was still in the bathroom sink, no fresh towels, no toilet paper. This hotel should be avoided at all costs!!

- JamesWemple (10/5): 11 days in Florence - This is our 4th time to stay at Pitti Palace al Pointe Vecchio. Before always a couple, this time we brought the family. Waking up to fabulous coffee made special by Martina, she and her staff made the start of each day perfect. The hotel is perfectly placed, walkable to almost everything and the front desk was extremely helpful. We enjoyed not only The David, but all Florence had to offer, and traveled to Rome, spent time in amazing Tuscany and beautiful Cinqua Terra. So very hard to say goodbye.

It’s located right off the Ponte Vecchio and within a few steps of a lot of great restaurants and mini markets for daily needs. The terrace where breakfast is offered had amazing views in the morning of the Palazzo Vecchio and the duomo of Santa Maria del Fiore. We’d definitely stay here again for the the proximity of nearby places.

- MaryMaryyraM (6/5): Well-located, clean, safe, and very basic. - I’m on my 3rd of 6 nights here. It is fine. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Location is convenient. It is clean. It is probably aligned with pricing for Florence. However, I disagree with the TripAdvisor listing. The rooms are very small. Mattress is comfortable. The bathroom is subpar. The shower is a converted tub with cheap shower curtain and large step in. The handheld shower head won’t stay put so you will constantly step on and close the drain, filling the tub with water. The room needs a refresh - scuffed walls, broken baseboards. The noise level from all directions is too much at all hours from street noise below, the bar upstairs, slamming doors in the hall and the other guests’ bathrooms, and a pigeon perched outside my window. There are no amenities, only shampoo/body wash combo. Bring your own conditioner, Kleenex, lotion, hand soap. Also, only paper cups that don’t hold up through the night. No water in the room but available for purchase in the lobby. The breakfast is not free. I didn’t purchase but it looks fine. The bar/restaurant is only open after 7 pm. I checked out but it didn’t appeal. It’s loud so others seem to like it. So overall, I would disagree with 4 stars, family-friendly, free breakfast, amenities descriptions. I’m also not certain I agree with claiming a restaurant that is only open after 7.

Opt for the daily breakfast: coffee, eggs, pastries, yogurt, muesli, jam, etc. I'm gluten-sensitive, and they event offered pre-packaged bread from Schar. My only complaint is that I'm used to cranking up the AC to sleep, but we stayed during the time of year when the AC isn't yet on. We couldn't sleep with the windows open because it was too loud. (But that's what you get for staying in such a central location.) Otherwise, the room was quite comfortable.

Baja calidad del desayuno baja variedad. La habitacion limpia, la bañera antiquísima y con cortinas las instalaciones en general deficientes para ser 4 estrellas... tres de ellas las tiene por la ubicación.
- kale1210 (8/5): Good hotel in great location - We have just returned from a short break in Florence staying at this hotel. The location is fantastic - easy walking distance to all the sights and steps away from some lovely restaurants and bars. The hotel is a little basic - but it is clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. It looks as it might be in a state of transition - there is a roof terrace and it would have been nice if the screens were opened so we could enjoy the view without feeling like we were in a greenhouse. Very reasonably priced drinks are available from the shop in reception but no ice buckets (for prosecco) or wine glasses available which was a shame. Perhaps this will come? Breakfast was fine - useful to grab something to start the day. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay at this hotel again should we return to Florence.
- Lynn (9/5): Excellent location for a city break! - Location is excellent. Breakfast was good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was large and comfortable. We were on the first floor and the noise from the road below was bad, especially as a few cobble stones were loose and vehicles kept going over them and it echoed. So not good if you are a light sleeper. Not enough sockets for charging phones etc using adapters. One coffee machine, which regularly stopped working, is not enough to cope with the number of guests having breakfast. Staff in the breakfast area were very helpful and worked hard. But the seeming leader, Laura, needs to smile more. The others were very cheerful.

Beklemmend warm in de kamer (april), airco werkt niet, karig ontbijt, oud brood, eten op het dak onder een plastic dakzeil omdat er werken zijn in de ontbijtzaal. Niet vooraf gemeld. Wel heel vriendelijk aan de receptie.

- ronald (8/5): - The location is perfect. We had a room with a great view out of the small window. The breakfast was great. The lounge on the 1st floor is great. The drinks prices in the reception are great value for money. The rooftop bar and the basement floor with the Roman ruins were closed. Last time we stayed here we booked a private tour of Sienna and San Gimigagno which was brilliant but they don't do that anymore they gave us a leaflet for us to book ourselves and the tour wasn't as good.

- Felker (9/5): Would recommend - The breakfast was good the lounge was a nice addition the view was beautiful the location was prime the staff was very helpful Would be nice if the the rooftop bar was open
- Squillacioti (4/5): Un viaje inolvidable - El desayuno, espectacular. La vista desde el comedor es impagable dado la ubicación de privilegio del hotel. La abundante agua caliente fue un gran paliativo para el cansancio de tanto caminar por la bella Florencia. Solicité 2 camas separas y nos esperaba una matrimonial. La habitación olía muy fuerte a cloaca y recién al segundo día se podía respirar aire limpio. El encargado del desk, no supo tender las camas para separarlas.

- Tanya1074 (10/5): Great property, great location - The staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were large and very comfortable. We didn’t spend time in the lounge or bar so can’t comment on that. Easy walking distance to the places we most wanted to see.

- Raluca (8/5): Great comfortable stay in amazing location - Nice, modern, clean hotel in incredible location. Good breakfast selection. Friendly helpful staff. The room wasn’t quite as pictured and there was little natural light, windows were facing a wall. Not a big deal as you’d be out all day anyway. There was some noise from the street at night.

The hotel has a top deck with a great view. Food & drinks -inexpensive-available on ground floor. Bus station accross the street.Convenient pizzeria a walking minute away. Amazing & expensive gelato in front of hotel. Hotel staff extraordinarily helpful and friendly
