Guest Reviews
- Z8984SXjaked (2/5): Terrible stay that because of the staff - I had a terrible stay on this hotel the staff work here is very bad, they have a bad attitude from reception to reservation, hope that the owner will take a look on that..they are playing, specially when it comes to money ,,,I will not guarantee this hotel.....
- Meander17595002968 (2/5): rude staff - location is okay walking distance from metro.
first time i have encountered receptionist shouts at guest and very rude staff, not recommended to stay here.
stayed here for 6 nights triple bed, price is cheap.
you get what you paid for, never again.
- Trek38361843261 (10/5): Great experience by Umar - It has been a Great experience overall, Umar was as brilliant as he can be, his behaviour from pick up and drop was very excellent and he coordinated for both Miracle garden and global village very professionally and in extreme polite manner.
- Karimullah (4/5): - Over all it is far from standard
- X4859UQamina (2/5): Dirty place to stay - This is not the place to stay with family. This place is only for prostitution. Till mid nite from 2nd and 3rd floor can hear high volume of music. All the time diff race of seduce guls roam around. If you want to go with family not to stay there. Highly recommend NOT to STAY.
- Samir (6/5): - Overall it's not bad however a few things to note prior to staying here: First, after you check in, they keep your passport for the duration of your stay UNLESS you pay 130 dhs then they will give it back to you. Second, if you're facing the entrance side aka Nihal Hotel it's going to be noisy every night due to the number of cars that pass by that area as well as the night club within Nihal Hotel. They also seem to be doing renovations within the hotel on all floors so the smell of paint and noise will also be there. Lastly there is a nightclub downstairs and they play loud music every night as well, so if you're a light sleeper make sure to get at least the 4th floor but 6th and 7th floor would be ideal.
- Mohamed (2/5): - Loud music at night, terrible shower.
- 819derejet (2/5): Why the municipality control this - Very dirty hotel why Dubai municipality closed this terrible hotel in the heart of Dubai, I can’t sleep the hole night I chose another hotel next morning bbbb bbbb bbbb nbnnnn nbnnnn vvbbvvbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbh. Hhhhhhhh ggggghhhhhhhhhhhghgggg
I have no words
- Sudhirbuchke (10/5): Boulevard restaurant - Food was awesome and service was very nice.special thanks to ms.pradnya.she is very polite and humble. Overall we felt homely .very nice ambience with live music. Her services is very good and very helpful
- Road592292 (2/5): Visit for friends - Worst Receptionist ever, disgusting face with disgusting attitude..! I don’t know the name but she was there in the morning 8 am. The way she was talking was not acceptable.! She is treating guest like Garbage
- Stewart (8/5): Transit through Dubai for 1 night - This is one of those places that you get what you pay'd for, its that's simple.
I arrived at 6am and was simply in need af a places to get 4 or 5 hrs sleep, it's close to the airport and so cheap cost me about 120AED or £22 through Hotels.com.
It was all I needed so I can't commit on noise levels during the night.
Staff even at 6am where good and after a quick shower I was out like a light.
Bathroom is dated and not very clean but shower is hot and good pressure.
Bed sheets where clean but had signs of heavy use.
I was allowed a late checkout with no extra charge, I also indulged in an hours massage at the Spa on the 7th floor, conveniently located next to my room.
I would have no problems staying here for a night's transit though Dubai again.
Thank you ORCHID HOTEL.
- Oliver (4/5): - They have two clubs in the hotel, and both are loud until 4am (!!!!) in the morning. Even in the 6th floor i couldnt sleep.
- zeezu91 (6/5): Just ok - Traveled in 2018 during the Eid holidays. The staff was cooperative. Good massage center at the 7th floor. Many entertainment clubs are on the mezzanine floor. Near to Dubai metro station. Bit expensive as compared to other hotels.
- B209SXdonnab (10/5): Excellent Sevice - The Staff were amazing, very friendly and very pleasant. The Hotel is very clean, aircon amazing because it was very hot outside. Imanman, the doorman always had a smile friendly and was very helpful. Everyone wore masks. Housekeeping, you only had to ask and they would get it for you, Reception was very helpful when I needed to order food, language barrier. Overall very Excellent service.
- Deepesh456 (10/5): 75th birthday party of Joseph lobo - Was a wonderful time being here at orchid hotel got the standard service and thanks to chef Patil for the fantastic food that was prepared and the banquet team an excellent job done everything was smooth and special thanks to MR Roshan,MR Romeo and team .
- sriiyer2000 (10/5): Growth Source - Great place. Awesome service. Mr. Roshan Koli, Aniket Gawde, Pranay and Romeo provided excellent service on two days 7-8 Feb. 2022. Would recommend them for a reward for their exemplary service. Well done.
- Harsimran_khroud (10/5): Visited for lunch - Atmosphere was good, mutton was very tasted. The chat was yummy by Suresh Chef. Nidhi was very polite and courteous. Snehal was very professional.
Really enjoyed, will surely come again.
Had a great time
- JL101691 (2/5): POOR SERVICE + SCAMMER RECEPTIONIST - Poor service. If only we could rate it 0 we would. The receptionist assigned during our stay is very rude and just wanted to fraud guest to pay extra. There are no toiletries, no coffee sachets, or even drinkable water, old and rusty shower heads, toilet is clogged, AC is broken, it smelled bad. We declared during bookinh online that there will be an additional guest whose gonna stay with us but the arabic male receptionist insisted for us to pay extra charge. He called the security and insisted for our friend to leave if we won't pay extra which I believe its his modus to scam people (read the same reviews about this receptionist). He didn't gave us any official receipt for the extra charge we paid. Just a big mystery why this hotel is up and still running it should be closed down due to poor service, facilities and amenities. Hotel stay is cheap but not worth it. Will definitely NOT coming back.
- cherylvin333 (8/5): Nice Hotel - Being a hotelier myself, I expect everything to be perfect. Arrived at the hotel at 9am, checked with the reception if early check in is possible, same has been provided after 1hour. During my arrival i asked the receptionist if last day breakfast can be taken on my day of arrival, she said yes and than when I checked in after 1 hour she said breakfast is close and cannot be provided. I was very much disappointed ☹️
After requesting the receptionist so much, finally she checked with Mr. Sachin - Operation Manager only after his approval i got my breakfast. (Thank you Mr. Sachin for your hospitality)
Receptionist needs some training on handling issues, rest evening was Good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great customer service and every thing was perfect
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Ok but atmosphere was not good
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room, not bad, environment not good for business person.
- mark (6/5): a good hotel/prime location with a couple minuses - This is my second time staying at the Orchid hotel in Al Rigga. I’m a solo traveller visiting many friends and family in Dubai. Pros: the hotel is close to the airport, and the location is PRIME. very close to the metro station, hundreds of restaurants at the main al rigga street which is a 3 min walk from the hotel lobby, 2 grocery stores nearby, and the hotel is generally clean. CONS: 1. there is an indian night club that opens from 10pm to 3 am and i got situated in the the 4th floor and you can hear loud music till dawn. always request for 6th or 7th floor which were my floors on my first stay there for a quieter sleep. 2. TRAVELLERS beware: DUBAI is an open city and you can have female guests up in your rooms. there is ONE specific receptionist there that will tell you that you cannot have guests visiting you and will tell you that you have to pay for a room rate to have a woman come up with you (forgot his name, but you’ll know him when you see him) he’ll claim it’s the rules but to me it was just his way to get a kickback or bribe by you having to pay a room rate for a female guest. there is a night club in the lobby and lots of couples go in and out so DO NOT GIVE WAY to these receptionists. UAE thrives on tourism and the last thing they want is to anger people staying in their hotel so tell these guys to leave you alone. other than that my stay was pleasant, the remainder of the staff were nice and cleaning person was very good and took care of the room.
- Rehan (2/5): - Not come to this property again, its my worst experience, everything so sl expansive even food and drinks
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I’ve stayed here previously 10+ years ago and I must say it didn’t have that smell in the rooms as before, however the bath tub, floor and wall tiles were the same as then bathroom. Tiles were chipped and broken in places and lots of mould around the bath. Steam room was out of use and the pool wasn’t available either. If you like staying up till early hours of the morning then that’s fine because at this hotel music is very loud till 3 am every morning. I was not happy I could here it even on the 4th floor. I was offered a room on the next floor. House keeping was done every morning, leaving the rooms clean and smelling fresh. Clean hotel over all but it’s a shame it still has the very old bathroom furniture full of mould.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This property need to be updated and the photos of the property does not represent the actual product.
- Jane (6/5): - Bathroom always leaked.
Staff was friendly though
- 437dhananjays (6/5): Value for money - I stayed for 3 nights, the rooms were decent and is close to Metro and bus stops. The rooms were big and had air-conditioner. Free wifi. Tv is there but only local channels.
I was not looking for a fancy hotel as I was in my room only at nights, so didn't face problems that are described by other users.
The breakfast was mixed (some Indian items).
honestly don't expect too much, as you are paying less. It's your decision, to either pay 20000 INR and have great services or 2000 INR and just have basics. You have to pay extra for breakfast included.
Overall good value for money as I wanted to spend on other things than stay.
- pmkamanga (2/5): Disappointed - The room size ok
However even when you ask for non smoking it's like you are in smoking zone
The TV has no offer for English channels only Asian,Arabic
The hotel appears to be mostly for Asian clients
Cost is okay
Staff are friendly
- amrik_amit (4/5): Mr Amrik Singh - I am AMRIK SINGH form Punjab a state of India. I booked a hotel in dubai named as orchid hotel in Deira from make my trip and in make my trip they shown me hotel in 4 star catagory but the fact is that it is 2 star catagory. I advice you all if you want to book this hotel make it sure it is not 4 *.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not bad - Many technical problems at beginning but got there towards the end
Slightly loud at night especially if your in 2nd or 3rd floor because if the club
But would stay there again
- MASLINDADEE (10/5): - Very good location..not really far with the metro station..staffs are really helpful
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The receptionist was rude and incompetent. The girl with the braces spoke to us rudely and dismissively. Bathroom is dirty and the sheets. I will never go back to that hotel again.
- Carlos (8/5): Confortable - Good hotel, friendly staff very attentive, great location
- carlotaa393 (6/5): Room is dusty - Room is ok but dusty, no parking. But for the price, dont expect anything. Needs a lot of improvement. Educate the housekeeping not to open the room without knocking. I was shocked to find them inside my room while i am in the bed.
- Nour Eddin (6/5): Business trip - Good location
- christopher (4/5): I recommend no one to stay their the advertising f - I would never stay in this Hotel again even if you offered a free weeks stay due the smell the area the noise and I was the wrong color and not catered for in 5he breakfast and getting woke up at 03.30 in the morning by other guest on the same floor is not my kind of hotel
- Reza (8/5): - Everything was great, just the music of the night club was crazy loud at nights.
- upendra987 (10/5): Good Hotel with excellent service - I stayed in this hotel during my Dubai Visit, very good hotel with helpful staffs. Variety of Breakfast. Good location nearby clock tower. Cheerful and helpful staffs. Rooms are large enough with all amenities. clean rooms.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Stinky room. Bad bed. Old toilet. Noisy. Indian club downstairs vibrations nonstop from club.
- 725khadijahv (10/5): A peaceful place to Stay. - I love the serenity of this hotel. Been in 2 hotels and cannot sleep comfortably there , so i found Orchid Hotel. The friendly receptionists were great! i can sleep easily. I like the fragrance and aroma once u stepped inside. Im relaxed. It is my 4 th day, and been like a home for me. Housekeeping was approachable. I requested for an iron and in less than 5 mins.. i got a gigantic iron board and an iron itself. Fast Service both coffeeshop staffs as well. i'd rather stay here for more. I don' t know how other travellers giving bad reviews about the hotel.
Clearly, You should come and see it for yourself to appreciate.
Thanks ORCHID HOTEL for being my second HOME in Dubai! Will invite my friends n Fam next time.
Best Regards and thank you Hotel Staffs!
- Moein (2/5): Very bad Hotel - The Hotel very bad and the reception very tough and tactless.they want 20$ additional from me.
This hotel should be remove from expedia .
- Sven (6/5): First time in Dubai - I think it lived very well to the expextations you have on a 3 star hotel
- Christopher (8/5): Good budget hotel - It was good
- Ali (8/5): Good hotel except for internet price of 25 DHS - It was a comfortable stay. I did not like the internet price and internet signal is too week.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Terrible service - I Found dirty the bathroom and the bed also never again
- Verified traveler (4/5): Never again - Have to pay for wifi, if more than one other person enters the room u must pay for an extra person, unpleasant staff
- VINCENT (2/5): Unsatifactory service - The experience was bad, I first stayed in the hotel in 2013 between then and now things have gone worst. You need to buy internet of 25 AED daily.
- Majed (4/5): - not recomended for couple
- ARMAN (2/5): - As I arrived after 2 o'clock, I had to wait 45 minutes in the lobby in order to assign a room to me. After they called my name they asked me if that is ok to give me a single bed instead of a queen or bigger bed the I originally reserved? Since I was being tired and needed to go to my business , I accepted the offer. The room was in 7th floor and just in close to room massage and spa room area and they are open till 3a.m. There were too many activities going on after midnight with loud conversations and talking on phone which I could hear them all in my room. There was no WIFI and you have to buy the card. The swimming pool on roof is ugly and small with no view. Prison looks better than this hotel. I would rate this hotel -F.
- A J (8/5): First time in Dubai - I had a great time at the place the special were great
- Verified traveler (2/5): Absolutely Awful - This hotel was absolutely terrible in every regard except location. It is close to the metro. When we arrived, post check in, we had to wait outside the room for 30 minutes because there was food on the floor and it had not been cleaned from the previous guest. Next, the room was so full of smoke that we coughed all day and night. The club downstairs is loud and had many unsavory characters. There were no room amenities, no iron, and no bag storage. Absolutely terrible value. Do yourself a favor, sstay anywhere else.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Absolutely Disgusting - When we checked in and got to our room, it had not been cleaned. The smell was atrocious. Food on the floor, heavily used bedding, a complete mess. We had to sit outside the room for 30 minutes while they cleaned it. Once we finally got in, the smell never got better and even worse the smoking throughout the property was heavy. If you like breathing in cigarette smoke all night, this is your place! All of our clothing and baggage reeked of smoke for days. The club downstairs was loud. There are absolutely no room amenities, no iron, no ironing board, and no bag storage downstairs. The interior is horribly decorated and the bed was uncomfortable. For a one star this would have been bad, but for $150, I feel like we got hustled and robbed. Find a hostel or sleep on the street for better and cleaner accomodations. Not far from the metro which is a plus.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable stay - Comfortable stay
- MIR (8/5): REASONABLE & GOOD - IT WAS SATISFACTORY
- Mustafa (8/5): Very good location near to Metro and markets - It was pleasant and staff very friendly and co-operative
- Abbas (8/5): Orchid - Located close to metro and airport. No annoying thing to mention.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Worst hotel on our 3 week holiday - No free Wifi in room in 2013, No Coffee or Tea, No Blanket on the bed, No safe box, Elevator door that closes on you, noise from the night clubs below until 4am, noise from taxis until 5am. Would not stay at this hotel again unless it was free.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to all locations specially airport - Bars and Room was perfect and the restaurant. I'll give it 5 out of 5.
- Heather (4/5): Orchid Hotel Dubai - The room was just Ok but the bathroom was filthy with mould growing everywhere and the air conditioner not a great deal of help. When we arrived the room was very stuffy from lack of air we had to open the window to let some air in but it also let the noise of the traffic in and on the last night the noise of people out on the street from the nightclub on the 1st floor. Breakfast had to be eaten around the furniture of the nightclub and very disappointing, we would not be recommending this hotel
- Verified traveler (2/5): Honestly i will not recmd this hotel to my enemy - I had requested for a 1 hr early check-in, as i got booking only accordingly.
i reach the hotel and tried to check-in, but they rudely told to to leave the hotel and come back after 1 hr, i am new to Dubai and he is asking me to come back after one hr.
i didn't check in, and i crossed the road and went and checked into the metropolitan Deira hotel which was far professional then the Orchid hotel
Honestly i will not even recommend this hotel to my enemy even
- Mary (8/5): Pleasantly Surprised - This was not a hotel I would of picked if there would of been any others reasonably priced for the time we had to go to Dubai, but I was pleasantly surprised! After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and a few other sites I was skeptical about the place. Check in was fast and efficient. Porter met us at the cab and tried to take our luggage (we only had carry ons so not necessary) and help us to our room. We declined. When we got to the room we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and the size of the room. We had a room with a king bed and there was a small sofa in the room also. There was plenty of room in the room for two people to manuever without running into each other. There was no top sheet on the bed but I called housekeeping and one was provided immediately and was put on each day after that. There was a very nice blanket in the room - despite what the other reviewers said - and even and extra comforter in the closet. The bathroom was huge by hotel standards. It was a little dated - old fixtures - but in good repair. There was a small tub and shower and a huge sink area. The only problem when we got there was they only provided two large type bath towels, no hand towels or wash cloths (not many hotels in the Middle East provide wash cloths even if you ask) again I called housekeeping and they immediately brought us hand towels and again provided daily afterwards. The water pressure was horrible but was enough to take a shower even an extended one to make up for the lacking pressure and the hot water lasted the entire time, even though the second shower.
There is a restaurant on site but did not eat there - mostly Indian and Filipino food. There are plenty of places within walking distance to go to also. City Center mall is only a short taxi ride away (we paid 10 AED for the trip there) and it has a lot of places to eat also. The Metro station is very close (about a 5 minute walk) and goes to everything in the city (even the airport!). There is a bakala (store) about a minute from the hotel and carries everything you might of forgotten or need (such as soda, instant coffee, etc., etc.)
We were on the 7th floor and never heard any noise from the night club our entire stay. We did not go there so cannot tell you if it was as bad as the other people say it is. If you don't like that kind of thing stay away from it.
Overall I say it is an okay hotel lost in a city with many luxury hotels. It is a little dated and needs some work but if you are looking for a cheap place to stay in the heart of the city then you might consider this one.
- Naseer (2/5): The Orchid Hotel in Dubai, AKA Nightmare Inn - - The washroom was leaking from the ceiling, leaving a brown coloured area of water on the floor and sink.
- At night the music keeps you awake even if you're on the fifth floor.
- The parking situation is horrible, you can't find a spot after 9pm.
- The neighbourhood is very sketch, we even got questioned by an under cover police officer as to what we were doing in that area.
- The room tv and tv remote was hardly working.
- The room was well kept and the cleaning staff did a good job of keeping things tidy.
- Telephone charge upon chk out was surprising, especially when all the calls were local.
- The room did not include a safe, although the mini bar was adequate.
- The beds were comfortable.
- Joseph (2/5): the worst! - The room smelled, the carpet smelled, the hotel smelled. The A-C is loud and has a clanking noise. They have a club in the hotel and it does not close until 3am which equals no sleep. The building is old and is in need of repair ASAP!!!!
The only bright spot about this hotel is the service.
- Bashaurat (6/5): shopping - This hot is neaarr. To shopping center and publlic transportation
- Verified traveler (4/5): cheap but old - I stayed over one night. I had to leave my passport behind the reception, even I paid in advance. There was no blanket on the bed, had to ask for it. The room was dark and old. Even if the room was clean, it did not seem to be.
There are heaps of other cheap posibilities to stay over night in Dubai. I try something else next time...
- Robert (8/5): 3 Days in Dubai - Checked in to Orchid Hotel in March, 2011. Large assortment of luggage in lobby, wasn't sure whose it was since there were people standing in lobby area. Checked in with no problems and was given room on 7th floor. I did not hear the noise others have complained about. Room was small but neat and clean. Not a lot of hot water from faucets, but warm enough to shower and wash hair. The restaurant was very nice and the food was good. Spoke with manager of restaurant, he was very friendly and taught me the the game of Cricket. The wait staff at the Hooka bar were nice as well. Stayed for 3 days and was not bothered by staff when I was wanting privacy. Enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.
- Rousdem (2/5): Not impressed. - Staff was not friendly. They were judging me, the customer, by the look and a dress.
I was dressed in shorts and T-shirt while I was for assistance from the reception, but another customer dressed in suit approached with the same question, customer ignored already waiting customer and assisting another better looking in dress person.
In a double room, we should be entitled to get 2 keys, but they refused to give us a second key at the checking.
- Zoran (4/5): Great Hotel, but VERY NOISY! - My experience was overall poor. As this was my 7th trip to Dubai (but first to the hotel) I must admit that I expected more for the money I paid.
Hotel was great, but they offered me a room with no windows and the noise from the nightclub was unbearable and lasted till around 3am...
Apart from that it was ok.... Perhaps I could have complained and asked for a different room, but as I spent entire day out of the room and at night I was on the Net till late it didn't affect me as much as it could have...
Still I would say that it would be VERY hard to not notice the noise from the club....
On the positive side, it is clean, affordable and located in a good location!
- A (8/5): short stay - We crashed in this hotel at midnight as waiting for our connecting flight. Swift and smooth check-in and check-out. Room was clean and o.k. Nothing spectacular, but more than o.k.
