The biggest issue is the cleanliness—the carpets were filthy and the entire property feels like it’s in desperate need of a total revamp. Between the lack of hygiene and the dated decor, the rooms felt very claustrophobic and uncomfortable. While the breakfast was okay and provided a decent start to the day, it wasn't enough to make up for the poor state of the facilities. I wouldn't recommend staying here until they address these maintenance and cleaning concerns."

• annjL7493GW (2/5): Very disappointed couple!!! - Stayed at this Hotel 12yrs ago, it was excellent!!! Went back a few days ago & it was disgusting!!! We flew from Sydney to Dubai which is roughly a 24hr flight with already having 4hrs at Sydney Airport before leaving. We arrived at the Hotel around 6am & was told the Hotel was fully booked & there were no rooms until check in but maybe at 8am they might gave something but we would have to pay another night. We were told we could sit in the Foyer with our luggage & sat there until 12.15pm when I went & asked about a room as no one had said anything to us…. but also no one checked out!!!! Once we got to our room it smelled very musty but we had no choice! We had showers then went to sit by the Pool ( as we had been advised not to go very far) We got talking to a lovely young couple who worked there & when we told them our story they said no, the Hotel hasn’t been busy for weeks but even more so since Sunday 28th Feb because of what had happened!!!! We were most disgusted to hear this & of the way we had been treated!!! The couple also told us that the week before as the Hotel was so empty that they were leaving all the room doors open to air the rooms. Tha Staff are not very friendly or helpful, very different to our previous time there. I can honestly say that we would never stay there again & if you’re thinking of it please….. think again!!!!

• 290rob (10/5): The best place to stay in Dubai - This is the third time I have stayed in this hotel in recent years - and I love it! Above all, the location is perfect, right in the heart of the old city of Dubai, where you can walk on the streets and wander down through the souks, past the mosque and the temple, down to the Creek, where you can watch the wooden boats plying their trade back and forth - an unforgettable experience that I never tire of. The hotel itself is first class, in the old fashioned style, perhaps a little faded, but built of real quality. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need, including a proper bath! The breakfasts are ample with plenty of variety. I have slept very well and comfortably. Above all, the staff are wonderful - helpful, polite, respectful and accommodating. I would particularly mention the Reception team - Bilal, Mister Bilal, Parvati and Rejoice - lovely people and charming. Highly recommended.

The receptionist Ms Manal was so courteous and helpful that i did not find that i am a guest rather as a family. The guidance on reception only about how to use lights washroom, air-conditioning laundry was best as though she was teaching in a class room to a child. Her hold on multiple languages especially English and Arabic is worth applause. I personally wish her best of luck as i have traveled a lot but experience here was unique. Wish her best of luck.

• MindyGal12 (4/5): Worn Out & No Hot Water - Would not recommend for the following reasons. No hot water. It might get luke warm if you let run for 15+ minutes. Furnishings worn out. The area rugs are filthy. Love antiques and period pieces, but we thought perhaps the hotel just does not have any money to invest and keep the rooms nice. Bedding and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. We liked the location. Staff at the front desk and breakfast courteous and helpful. We would not stay here again.
• fasiln2025 (10/5): Excellent service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I recently visited Arabian Courtyard Hotel for the first time and it was an exceptional experience from the moment I arrived the hotel design, warm atmosphere and beautiful traditional style immediately made me feel welcomed and comfortable ,before even reaching the reception lady her name Menale, approached us with a warm smile and greeted us professionally she immediately arranged for the concierge team to assist us with our luggage, which was highly appreciated, after that she personally guided us to the reception and stayed with us throughout the check in process, she took the time to explain all the hotel facilities in detail from the restaurants to the spa and other services, and she even accompanied us to the elevator to make sure we had everything we needed her kindness professionalism and genuine care truly stood out and made our first impression unforgettable, I want to express my sincere appreciation to her and to the entire team at Arabian Courtyard Hotel for such wonderful hospitality. Overall it was a great experience, and I will definitely visit this hotel again. Thank you for making our stay memorable

• paulsJ7156CC (4/5): Worst reception service - In general hotel is good. Housekeeping staff is good. Specially Mr. Irfan is excellent person there. However if he is no on duty, other staff at the reception is worst. First of all they won’t pick Up any of the phone whether from room or from outside. It’s almost next to impossible to talk to reception at any given time which makes the whole experience very poor
• Relax218191 (2/5): Be careful it was scary 😨 - Stayed here last year with friends, it was the worst experience. Someone checking in was given the key to our room at 1am. It was incredibly scary to have someone trying to open our door.
• 709shami (10/5): Arabian Courtyard Stay - We have been coming to this hotel for over twenty years. It is in a prime position for sight seeing. The staff are excellent very attentive friendly and accommodating from the reception staff to the restauranters and cleaners. Special mention to Ismael who has been looking after us for over 20 years and it is not a surprise that his photo was hanging as employee of the month. Also James kept the room very clean

• Canberran72 (4/5): Used to be a Good Hotel - This hotel is in a good location near Dubai Creek and the Dubai Museum. Hop-on hop-off busstop is opposite. However, this hotel has gone downhill since we last stayed there in 2018. Repair work in bathrooms was shoddy. Mounts for soap dispenser bottles were broken. Every time we phoned for room service over 4 days, no-one answered the phone and we had to get a message through Reception. We booked a car and driver to do tour of the city with the Tours Manager but on the day, no car turned up and the Tours Manager was not at work that day. After a complaint, another manager offered to drive us but then he didn't want to go to the places we asked for. I will never stay at this hotel again.
• Sidsheri (2/5): Very disappointing - We have been loyal guests at Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa since 2017, often staying twice a year. Unfortunately, our most recent visit has been very disappointing and it seems that the overall standard of this hotel has declined significantly over the recent years. We booked a deluxe room, paying more, which turned out to be a standard room size with just an extra single bed in it which we did not need. . Housekeeping services were inconsistent and unsatisfactory. On the first day, only the most basic cleaning was done —only the bedding and towels were replaced. The bathroom was not cleaned properly, cups left dirty and teabags, sugar, and even water bottles were not replenished . The service culture has also deteriorated. Staff, who were once welcoming, now appear rude and uncoordinated. For example, we tried to arrange a massage with Urban Company (a well-known professional service provider in the UAE). One staff member said it was fine while another restricted it to 60 minutes and the manager outrightly refused. This lack of consistency and professionalism was truly off putting. When we raised an issue about the malfunctioning “Do Not Disturb” and “Clean the Room” buttons, the response we received from the lady at reception was dismissive . Another surprising and unprofessional detail was the antique feedback box at the hotel. It was completely full of customer notes, obviously unread and amusingly, the box is up for sale with a price tag on it!! I presume whoever buys it would also get unrestricted access to all the guest feedback — a clear breach of privacy. Amidst all the disappointment, one staff member stood out — Mr. Ahmad. He has been at the hotel for many years and treated us with courtesy and sympathy. His professionalism was the only highlight of our stay. Sadly during this stay we felt uneasy returning to the hotel after being out. In the past, we have always recommended Arabian Courtyard to friends and family, many of whom also stayed here. Unfortunately, we will no longer do so. We are not difficult guests — we spend our money to relax and enjoy our time. This experience left us with quite the opposite feeling. We doubt if we will ever stay at this hotel again.

• 404shanazb (4/5): Utter Disappointment!! - I rarely leave negative reviews, but my family’s recent stay at Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa left us very disappointed. During breakfast one morning, a waitress named Sawsan came over to my daughter (mum of two) and said, “ma’am sit properly”. She did not say this quietly, and her tone came across as rude and disrespectful. My daughter was only sitting with one leg folded under the other. This is a perfectly normal and modest way to sit, and she was dressed appropriately. The comment was uncalled for and left us shocked. When we asked for clarification, the waitress repeated it and claimed it was a “rule of the restaurant.” My daughter later spoke to a manager, who admitted that this was not an issue at all and was confused why it had even been raised. Despite my daughter requesting an apology, nothing was done. We also had a serious safety issue with the shower running boiling hot water, which could have caused burns, especially to children. This was the second time it had happened. When we reported it again to management, along with the breakfast incident, we were told they would need to check CCTV footage of how my daughter had been sitting. This response was both unnecessary and insulting, and the matter was never dealt with properly. What makes this even more disappointing is that we have been loyal guests of this hotel for years. Every time we visited Dubai, we chose to stay here and encouraged family and friends to do the same. To be treated in this way despite our loyalty was extremely upsetting, and it has completely changed our view of the hotel. Overall, management came across as dismissive and failed to take our concerns seriously. The combination of rude treatment from staff, unresolved safety hazards, and a lack of accountability left us very disappointed. For a hotel of this standard, I expected it far better.
• 402orvilleh (10/5): VIP standard with budget prices - In all honesty, I had a terrific time during my stay at the Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa in Dubai. It was perfectly situated in Bur Dubai, close to the metro, shops, dining options, the Dubai Museum, and Al Seef. It was simple to move around because everything was within walking distance. The housekeeping staff kept my room tidy and comfortable every day. The employees were truly remarkable, particularly Saima, the woman working the front desk. She always had a smile on her face and was very helpful. The rooftop pool and gym were pleasant extras, and the breakfast was good with lots of choices.
• simin2013 (6/5): Great Location - Well located in front of the Old Dubai Museum. Meena Bazaar is across the street. You get the boat across to the Gold Souk from the many bazaar which are a nice stroll from the hotel. The metro is a nice stroll. Urooj the receptionist was just the best she very kindly gave us an upgrade to a room facing the Old Dubai Museum which was under reconstruction, and gave us good advice where to go and how to get around. The hotel itself is a bit dated and could do with a good deep clean, the buffet breakfast is served with hot and cold dishes it was ok.

• Yasmi52 (2/5): Disappointing Experience - Not Worth the 4-Star Rating – Disappointing Experience The Arabian Courtyard is extremely run down and falls far short of what you’d expect from a 4-star hotel. The rooms are dated, dark, and depressing, and the entire property feels neglected. The breakfast area is small, overcrowded, and chaotic – hardly a comfortable or relaxing start to the day. The lobby washroom was dirty and poorly maintained, raising serious concerns about the hotel’s overall cleanliness and hygiene standards. This is, at best, a 2-star experience. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone unless major renovations and service improvements are made.

• 899riyadd (10/5): Ideal location for anyone on a budget - We had a wonderful experience, please don’t go by all the negative reviews as everyone has a different experience. I had a very good experience from all the staff from Saima to Brijesh who booked our tours. I met so many wonderful people from the house keeping staff to everyone who served us in the morning for breakfast. The location is great if you want to go gold souq, meena bazaar and so many places to eat. There are plenty of Taxis and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget. The rooms are good and spacious, definitely recommend paying a little extra for the deluxe over the classic as you get a better view in my opinion. Also maybe some rooms do require some form of modernization but overall very good experience and nice breakfast which sets you up for the day.

• drjigarasnani (10/5): Value for money - Centrally located in Bur Dubai. Just 20 mins away from Dubai airport. Adjoining neighbourhood is also good. Meenabazar is just a minute walk from here. So many good joints are at walkable distance. Dubai museum is just opposite to the hotel. Rooms are of decent size with all the basic amenities. Linens were clean. Check in & check out the was seamless. Breakfast menu is limited with decent taste!

• Anni (8/5): - Rejoice and Mr.Paul were incredibly helpful, patient and knowledgable and went above and beyond expectations whenever we asked for their assistance. We did order a meal from room service which had an odd odour and my meal was inedible so that was an a waste of money. We had tried to eat in the Bodhi Cafe ( i understand that this is not run by Arabian Courtyard but had to leave due to the very overpowering use of incense and very loud music. In the past we have eaten Egyptian food at the Pharoahs (?) restaurant which was outstanding but as there was a function on we were unable to get a table.

• MrJones1947 (10/5): Great for the Older Travellers - Wonderful Stay for my elderly parents recently - Thank you Uroot who was fantastic with them, helping them from the moment they arrived to their departure. My Parents stayed here for the 5th or 6th time now - they are into their 70’s now and not great with tech etc. The hotel and particular their team were great with them, helping with taxi’s, trips, recommendations, checking, setting up Wi-Fi. Both my parents told me about Uroot (hope the spelling is correct) who was exceptionally helpful throughout and took great care of them. A heartfelt thank you from me. My mum commented on the house keeping team and how clean they kept the room. They stayed for a week from 23 to 29 May.

• 972mt (10/5): Look no further! - What an exceptional hotel and memorable stay! This has to be the best hotel that I have stayed in Dubai, particularly in the old/traditional Dubai area. Every member of staff that I came across was welcoming and extremely helpful! Check-in was smooth and quick. The room was clean, spacious complete with the necessary amenities. Location of the hotel is convenient; just a short 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station. There are plentiful restaurants and cafes within walking distance. I am already planning my return to this exceptional property which felt like home from day 1! A genuine note of appreciation to every single member of staff that helped me during my stay!
• Haresh (2/5): - I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the unethical and unprofessional treatment I have received from Arabian Courtyard Hotel regarding my recent reservation. I cancelled my reservation two days before my schedule check -in, Yet I was still charged for the full four- days stay. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this fairly, including four emails and multiple phone calls, their management has been completely unresponsive, Shockingly, my calls were even hung up twice, which is entirely unprofessional and unacceptable. Asa good will gesture, I requested to be charged for only one night instead of the four- full day stay. Even Expedia intervened d on my behalf, they refuse to coperate. This conduct is not only unethical and unprofessional but also potentially illegal under consumer protection law. I demand an immediate refund for the excessive charged beyond a one -night stay. I am prepared to escalate this matter to Dubai's Department of Tourism.

• Mustak (6/5): - The hotel is suited for 1 group of people who albeit are catered well by the host do not care. Breakfast was one of the worst experience I have ever encountered. It was worst than a zoo. Staff were trying, guest were the problem, filling 2/3 plates, I even saw some filling containers. In terms of the accommodation, it is not 5 star, however a facelift is required. I witnessed an incident with front reception staff, reprimanding a member of the cleaning staff in front of guest. This was nothing less than bullying, I have taken the matter up with management and awaiting a response.`if a response is not forthcoming I intend to communicate the incident.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Large but loud room - The public spaces in the hotel are in good condition but hotel rooms could do with some serious refreshing. My room was on the 1st floor, right on the street, hence very loud. I could not sleep all night as, in addition to constant traffic noise, there was some work ongoing and I had the sound of trucks and machines right outside the window all night. The mattress is also very hard. When I told the counter about my experience, they did not seem very bothered. I will not stay again.
• Shirley (6/5): Good location - The website's high ratings raised my expectations, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. While the location was convenient, the rooms need significant updates, as the one we stayed in was overly dark. Although the towels and linens were clean, they were noticeably worn and in need of replacement. The service was commendable, but the hotel could benefit from some much-needed upgrades to enhance the overall guest experience. Lastly, there was no mention of the Dubai Museum being closed for nearly two years, which is a highlight of the location.

• Pauline (10/5): Great Authentic Dubai Hotel - Our stay was amazing. From the time our taxi pulled up till we departed, we were treated extremely well. We arrived early in the day and the receptionist gave us our rooms early. What large, spacious rooms they were too. Comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. Good shower. We even had a separate lounge with a sink and microwave. The staff were amazing greeting us each time as long lost friends. Everyone was so willing to help. Swimming pool looked great but unfortunately ran out of time to have a swim as there was too much to do. Our room was serviced well providing bottles of water which was much appreciated. Beds lovely and comfortable. Would love to return.
• NIZAR A (2/5): - At the time of Check-in, the room was dirty and dirty, water was leaking. We asked for another room they charged extra for the family room and we found cigrattes on the carpets. VERY BAD SERVICE THEY DESTROYED MY VACATION. I HAVE A VIDEO AND PICTURE WITH THE HOTEL STAFF IN THE ROOMS.
• Harminder (6/5): - Good is that lots of places around and its in old Dubai. Also they accommodated early checkin for me. Bad - The TV in the room did not work. I was told there was a minibar in the room, which there wasn't.
• Rajesh (2/5): - the service at the desk was terrible, i was a couple of hours early due to my flight, my room was ready but they still charged me. The Ac didn't work in my room. The TV had only 4 English speaking channels as oppose to the many offered. The tap in the new room offered was broken and the towels we hard and discoloured.

• Vijay (6/5): - The location was amazing. The comfort of the bed was not to my taste. It was hard. The room was spacious, bathroom was a bit smaller than an average Emerati toilet. The wood varnish was a bit too dark and had darkened to room much darker. Could have been a bit more light natural varnish.
