Camera di medie dimensioni con arredamento non modernissimo, ma funzionale e completo. Per la zona avevamo paura potesse essere rumorosa, ma non è stato così, perfettamente isolata dai rumori. La reception è aperta 24h e risponde a qualsiasi esigenza. Non abbiamo avuto occasione di provare il ristorante. Nulla da segnalare.

• D2259USraymondc (6/5): Not the best. - We checked in for one night before our trip to Rome the next morning and because of its proximity to Napoli Centrale. The reception people were nice enough and competent. When we checked into I room, I checked for bedbugs. In the ticking of the mattress, I found a bug and requested a room change. The hotel said it was not a bedbug. For safety, I wanted a different room. They gave us a lesser room for our trouble and at a rate of $162 without breakfast. The bathroom was very old and in dire need of a renovation. No bugs through.

Positive: the waiter at the restaurant went above and beyond to find suitable food for me. I am coeliac so it can be tricky, but he was incredibly helpful and friendly. He was really kind to my 9 year old as well. Same for the staff in the breakfast room, they were incredibly helpful too. The first morning my daughter fell down the stairs and hurt herself. I asked the staff for an icepack, and the woman couldn’t have been more dismissive. She didn’t seem to care and just told us to do to the breakfast room and ask for an icepack there. Luckily, as said above, staff there did care and were lovely. Our room. Mould in the corner of the bath, cracked toilet seat and the sink didn’t drain. Just not okay! I didn’t ask for another room because we traveled the whole day and my daughter was tired (and so was I!). I shouldn’t have to ask for another room in the first place, selling rooms like this just isn’t acceptable. I have photo's, so I am not making it up. Despite all this, we had a nice time in Naples and an amazing visit to Pompeii.

• docvoyageur22 (6/5): Last visit to Naples - Hotel is very near the central train station. This is good (ease of getting there) and bad (the area around the station is. . .rough). Naples is not what I was expecting. We went there for a few days as a central location to visit Pompeii (we did--easy day trip and well worth it!) and Sorrento (trains were down the day we intended to go, so didn't get to make that trip). My friend who lives in Milan was surprised I picked Naples and described it as "gritty" which was accurate. The hotel was ok. Pros: As I stated, location is close to train. Staff was very friendly and able to keep our luggage before our room was ready, as well as after we checked out until we caught our train to Rome. Breakfast was quite good; more than a typical European breakfast & had eggs, meats, lots of pastry options, coffee/tea, cereals and yogurts. Hotel lobby was clean. Option for 4 people in one room, which is hard to find in Europe. Our family room had 1 double bed & 2 singles & everyone fit fine. Cons: Beds were HARD as rocks. As in, difficult to sleep on. And I can sleep pretty much anywhere. Surrounding area is pretty rough. Lots of trash in the sidewalks, dirty streets. People selling things on the street corner. This is most of (what we saw in) Naples. No one bothered us but it was sometimes hard to weave through the people trying to sell you shoes and fake purses. Our room, especially bathroom was pretty dated. But still fairly clean. If I had to go back to Naples, this was as good a place as any I guess.

• danielcS2975BF (4/5): Loud disco music overnight and smelly room. - We spent one night here, on the first floor. None of us had much sleep as there was a disco blaring out loud music from around 930pm and only started to quiet down around 4am the next morning. There was also the disco patrons chatting loudly on the streets as they took a break from the disco. So the sound insulation of the our rooms was poor. My room, numbered 118, was smelly, making it an uncomfortable stay. Otherwise the room and bathroom were clean. We spent another night at a boutique hotel that was more peaceful, just as clean, pleasant staff and much cheaper just across the square from this hotel. So we concluded that we did not get value for money from this hotel.

Staff were helpful from reception to housekeeping and at breakfast Students staying were noisy into the early hours but when brought to attention of reception was dealt with. The security check when returning room key was minimal.

• c0rkyb0y (8/5): Grand Europa is grand. - Very good location, Piazza Garibaldi is close by to where the airport bus drops off and picks up. Meridionale is a busy street but our room was quiet enough with the window closed. There's air-con for the hotter weather, when you'd probably want the window closed. Room was very clean and tidy. A good breakfast is served in the basement floor restaurant, buffet style and everything you could want. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I spent a couple of evenings in the bar watching football, being served by Davide, who was very attentive, pleasant, and knowledgeable. From the station, just across the street, you can catch main line trains, regional trains, and the metro system.

This is not anywhere near a “Spa” Hotel, it’s an overpriced boarding house with no Restaurant and a very poor Bar. The area of Naples this place is located in is also a very rundown and unattractive area.

All staff were friendly & happy to help from house maintenance to bar staff. Lovely atmosphere. Rooms absolutely spotless, great value for money. We went down for breakfast one morning. A great selection of foods and pastieries. Croissants were amazing.

Budynek zabytkowy co mimo pewnych zacofanych standardów ma swój urok. Standardy z lat pięćdziesiątych albo wcześniej ale dla mnie historyka było to sympatyczne. Cisza nocna fatycznie w tym hotelu nie istniała. Do 1 w nocy a czasem i po, głośno zachowywała się wycieczka szkolna nastolatków a portier stwierdził że nic na to nie może poradzić. Do tego młodzież co jakiś czas dzwoniła dzwonkiem do naszego pokoju, również wcześnie rano. Byliśmy z synem wiecznie niewyspani a na audiencję papieską pojechaliśmy po 2 godzinach snu. Portier zgłosił naszą skargę nauczycielce która rozmawiała z uczniami, znam łacinę więc wiele zrozumiałem z ich rozmowy ale to pomogło tylko na chwilę.

• obriens19 (10/5): Perfect for our needs - We chose this hotel largely based on TA reviews and because we wanted to stay near the central train station for several reasons. Easy safe walk from the station. Lots of people around, so fear of Neapolitan pickpockets, etc., is overblown. The outside of the hotel is well-lit, nice automatic door. Clean and attractive smallish reception area. Very helpful reception staff with good English. Food and drink available in rooms off reception. Breakfast downstairs in cheerful space. Large selection of breakfast items. Rooms are large enough to feel comfortable. Nice bathroom. Clean white towels and sheets. Totally recommend.

You may consider providing more soap for bathing, and a blanket (if needed by the guest) for the bed in cooler months of the year.

The beds were comfortable. The location was really close to the Napoli Centrale train station The receptionist wasn't pleasant to talk to. The toilet had no door. The room had 4 beds even though I was traveling alone. The neighborhood was really dirty. The breakfast food was bland (except the croissants). You can serve some food yourself but you have to ask someone for the croissants? There were two water bottles, one labelled "Still" and the other "Sparkling" -- they were both sparkling water. The breakfast (+~30 euro per night) is NOT worth it.

Personnel souriant, sympathique et petit plus pour nous parle français. Petit dejeuner sous forme de buffet lege mais sympa pour 12€. Femmes de ménages très courageuses et réagissent dans la minute L'odeur de mal séché sur les draps de lit, mais très vite changé. Le manque d'étagères pour les vêtements, on avait deux penderies et seulement 8 ceintres pour 15 jours c'est pas pratique. Pas de place ou faire sécher nos essuis.

• PAOLA (8/5): - Posizione strategica per raggiungere la stazione e la metropolitana ma anche per raggiungere i principali monumenti. Struttura moderna e accogliente, Camera rinnovata e spaziosa, staff super gentile.
• GIOVANNI (8/5): Il soggiorno è stato piacevole. - La posizione della struttura è molto comoda per la vicinanza alla stazione ferroviaria e metropolitana. Il personale della struttura gentile, simpatico e disponibile.
• Cristina (8/5): - Ottima location, ottima colazione, più che buona la pulizia, ottima insonorizzazione. Niente da eccepire. L'atmosfera natalizia si sente molto. Personale serio e professionale. Letto molto comodo Manca il frigo in camera, ma piuttosto che mettere uno di quelli piccoli che non fanno niente meglio così. I bicchieri di plastica si possono eliminare. Un po' troppo calda la stanza.

• Roam58404889181 (10/5): Ty Naples! - We stayed at the Grand Hotel Europa for a couple of nights and honestly had a great time. The location is super convenient if you’re travelling by train, and even though the area can feel a bit chaotic at night, once you walk inside the hotel it’s a completely different atmosphere calm, clean and welcoming. The staff at the reception were always helpful and friend , giving us clear directions on how to move around Naples. Our room was clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet considering the busy area outside.But the real surprise was the restaurant. We decided to try it one evening and ended up loving it. My girlfriend ordered the green Scalatelli with the fish of the day and she talked about that dish for the entire trip she even did the “scarpetta” at the end like a true Neapolitan. My plate was excellent too, beautifully presented and genuinely tasty
• giuliana (9/5): Ottima esperienza! - Albergo curato nei dettagli specie nelle aree comuni, già addobbate per il natale. Personale estremamente cortese, specie la receptionist di cui purtroppo non ho memorizzato il nome e Alessandro il maitre di sala. Stanza ampia con letto comodissimo. Abbiamo inoltre molto apprezzato il ristorante che proporne un'ampia scelta di piatti. Come ogni area vicino alla stazione di una grande città, la zona è un po' "movimentata" ma basta avere occhi aperti e buon senso.

PULIZIA E SERVIZI IN CAMERA SOPRA LE ASPETTATIVE. LA PULIZIA DEI DINTORNI DELL' HOTEL E DELLA CITTA IN GENERALE. SOPRATUTTO NELLA ZONA DI FRONTE ALLA STAZIONE E PORTA CAPUANA. CI SONO SITUAZIONI CHE NON SI TROVANO IN ALTRE ZONE DELLA CITTA.
