63quiques (4/5): Hotel con máscara!!! - Hotel que la recepción parece un hotel moderno, pero detrás está algo que no te gustara. Se trata de un hotel abandonado, todo es muy viejo y roto. Moqueta sucia y rota por las habitaciones y pasillos. Muebles rotos- mordidos… no hay enchufes salvo un cable por medio de la mesa. Las ventanas no cierran, son muy antiguas de hierro y no funcionan. El baño sucio y donde la ducha no funciona, y la pila toda sucia con marcas de no haberse limpiado. Llevo dos semanas viajando por China y es el PEOR hotel en el que he estado, siendo en sí mismo de los más caros por noche 150€/noche. El desayuno incluido, es un puesto en la entrada del lobby con una bandeja de cartón con dos trozos de pepino, un cereal y un bollo de pan ( modo cárcel) y dos jarras con café y leche. Pregunta al hotel, por esto que ponen de desayuno, cobran???? Espero que tomen nota y mejoren todo… es una sensación mala ir a ver Hong Kong y encontrarse con algo asi… no ayuda nada, el servicio deben de cambiarlo, para mí es un engaño totalmente!! No cometan mi error y contraten el hotel, no se sentirán cómodos. —————-English The hotel's lobby looks like a modern hotel, but behind it lies something you won't like. It's an abandoned hotel; everything is very old and broken. The carpet is dirty and torn throughout the rooms and hallways. The furniture is broken and chewed up… there are no outlets except for a single cable running across the table. The windows don’t close; they’re very old iron ones and don’t work. The bathroom is dirty, the shower doesn’t work, and the sink is filthy with marks showing it hasn’t been cleaned. I’ve been traveling in China for two weeks, and this is the WORST hotel I’ve stayed in—and it’s one of the most expensive at €150 per night. The included breakfast is a stand at the lobby entrance with a cardboard tray holding two slices of cucumber, a box of cereal, and a bread roll (prison-style), plus two pitchers of coffee and milk. Ask the hotel: do they actually charge for this so-called breakfast???? I hope they take note and improve everything… it’s a terrible feeling to go to see Hong Kong and run into something like this… it doesn’t help at all; they need to change the service—to me, it’s a total scam!! DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!!!!!! I thought it would be different, since I read some mild comments about the conditions, but I decided to check it out because in a city like Hong Kong (the island), it couldn’t be true—but I was wrong… it’s really a disaster. Don’t make my mistake and book this hotel; you won’t feel comfortable.
Alejandro (1/5): Ditch this place - it will ruin your stay in HK - Location The room was outdated, the AC was out of control, it was the North Pole in there. The mattress as old as when the UK signed the 100 year lease. The staff unfriendly, especially in your sister hotel down the street where I was supposed to get a lift to the train station, which never happened because the staff ignored me knowing I needed the lift. On top of that, I was offered a cab paid by the Hotel, and when I got to the train station the cab insisted I pay him since the hotel was not going to cover the bill. Truly, a sad sad e,perience.

In the morning, boxes are delivered from outside, and the menu, both Chinese and Western, is inedible. The ‘deluxe’ rooms are barely worthy of a two-star rating, and the others are tiny. The rooms on the 5th floor smell of cigarettes and food because of the proximity of a small terrace.

Rooms are out dated & not as clean as expected. Noisy people in the hallway and next door and cleaning lady shouting across the rooms early in the morning . Hotel hidden behind main intersections and attractions. Offer cleaning for once a week only for monthly stay.

She could not even muster the energy to say hello. So rude! From the very beginning. Terrible and disrespectful front desk. I have been coming to this hotel for more than 10 years but it has gone down a lot. The quality of staff is very bad. . This is the last time I stay here. There are many other places in Hong Kong to stay.

Lukasz (10/5): Good option for a night or two night stay on Hong Kong Island. - For Hong Kong, and staying on New Years, this was one of the cheaper options. Overall, I found the room to be sufficient. The room was not the biggest but also not the smallest, as is the case in many hotels in Hong Kong. Overall check in experience was smooth. No frills, great for a night stay.
Cheuk na (5/5): - Staff are helpful when needed. Shower water pressure and temp control is good. Toilet broke, breakfasts are basically prison food, door locked is out before checkout. Room layouts are poorly considered.
Robert (6/5): The accommodation is cheap, and the location is perfect for our needs. - We have stayed at Cosmos several times (at least 6 times). I like the hot water supply. The bed is acceptable. Free internet access is a plus. The price per night is somewhat reasonable. The lighting in the room was mediocre. The breakfast was....well, after one try we ignored it and went elsewhere. I missed the fruit and coffee up on 5th floor. Hangers for clothes are minimal. The general condition and appearance of the building suggests things are not as they once were and the Cosmos is struggling to survive.

Chan (7/5): It was decent enough, very convenient location. - Everything went according to plan There was a payment issue with Booking.com but I think it was more Booking.com's fault. If you book through that website and choose to pay when at the front count, the payment might not have gone through yet, and this was after 3 weeks. The room also smelled of stagnant water when first entering. Carpets were stained but felt clean.

Karolis (8/5): Overall, Cosmo hotel is a great place to live in the Hong Kong Island. - The location was perfect, the bus stop was just outside the hotel, then tram stop was just around the corner, and the subway station was just a few minutes walk. There were lovely restaurants and bars just a few steps from the hotel. The rooms were neat and tidy, and cozy. The staff working at the hotel were helpful and super nice. Breakfast. Breakfast was really bad. Every morning you got to pick up a breakfast set, which looked like someone went to a buffet picked up one egg dish, one meat dish (two sausages or two burger patties), two peaces of vegetable (either two slices of cucumber or two cherry tomatoes), a savory pudding (beans in ketchup or oatmeal), and a bread. It was edible, but boy was it bad.

Wir habe das Zimmer gewechselt nach links um 25.Stock - wunderbarer Skyline-Blick Aber die Fenster lassen sich überhaupt nicht öffnen. Nirgendwo!!! Das Frühstück entspricht dem Bild ÜBERHAUPT NICHT!!! 3 verschiedene als ob Frühstück-Angebote sind richtig unbefriedigend!!! Kein Obst, kaum Gemüse, alles kalt und muss erwärmt werden. Der Kaffee besser auf dem 5.Stock von der Kaffemaschine holen und die Milch davor unten an der Rezeption bei der Frühstücksausgabe.

Andrea (8/5): A surprising hotel! - Friendly reception staff & an amazing variety of breakfast boxes! Hot drink station, microwave & outdoor seating area on 5th floor was a bonus. Full size bath & overhead shower always had plenty of hot water. Nice toiletries. Self-serve washing machines located in hotel next door was a great help. Housekeeping provided an iron & ironing board when needed. In The room was tiny, yet the bed & mirror positioning made it appear larger. Opaque windows prevented view over Muslim cemetery, however as room was at the back of the hotel, it was quieter.

Carlo (6/5): - They were very helpful and moved us to a cleaner and bigger room when we brought up to their attention the cleanliness of our previous room The first room were we stayed the first night wasn’t very clean (I.e. dust over the head of the bed, dirty cups, fridge leaking water, noisy ac, view over the outside rest area were people could see inside the room, hair on the floor) For the price of a 4 stars hotel the quality was closer to a 3 stars hotel.. the photos were probably taken when then hotel was newly built or renovated.

Tania (5/5): A great time in Hong Kong, our hotel was in a perfect location but the amenities were disappointing. - The location was great - making our time exploring Hong Kong very easy. Also lots of cafes, bakeries and restaurants in the immediate area and Happy Valley over the road was a great bonus. The room was very small with very little floor space around the bed making it difficult to navigate around the room and to store belongings. Also the air conditioning never seemed to cool the room down. The hotel doors were not soft close and we were often disturbed in the early hours of the morning by other guests returning to their rooms. Breakfast was collected in the foyer to be eaten in your room, firstly there was no space in the room to eat breakfast very easily and once opened the food did not look very appealling. We would not recommend guests pay for breakfast we found it was much better to go out and enjoy fresh pastries and coffee from the many local bakeries and cafes on Queens Road East. Finally one of the lifts broke down twice during our stay which meant that at times it took a long time to travel between our room on the 26th floor to the ground floor.

416taol (4/5): Should’ve spent a little more - This is a small old hotel. We were there for 4 days and 3 nights. Only one small lift worked which had to service 25 floors. 5 minute wait at least when trying to head out. When we checked out we had luggage and had to wait over 15minutes a lift with space. Very inconvenient spot, no shops close by. Spent more money on uber than savings on the hotel. No toiletries provided, no soap. Does have shampoo body wash.
