- Tovah (8/5): Very well located budget stay - This is an excellently located hotel - we only used public transit and were very easily able to get around Dublin. The neighborhood is quite cute, and less touristy than the city centre. Check out Ebb and Flow for a delicious brunch. The room was clean, serviceable, and basic. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom tended to be a bit cold.

- K'Lynn (10/5): Travelodge Rathmines: Friendly Staff and Great Base for Exploring Dublin - I had a great stay at Travelodge Rathmines. The location was one of the biggest highlights—close enough to the city center to easily explore all of while still being in a neighborhood that felt relaxed and convenient. There were plenty of restaurants, shops, and transit options nearby, which made getting around incredibly easy. Aldi right next door made it super easy to eat healthy.
What really stood out, though, was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming, kind, and happy to answer questions or offer recommendations. They truly made the stay feel comfortable and stress-free.
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and an excellent value for the location. I would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Dublin! I liked everything.

- Mason (9/5): My Dublin home from home - The staff always remember me and go out of their way to be helpful. Great location in itself and for travelling to the centre or the suburbs. Very well run and quiet at night. Generoys with tea, coffee and milk. No problems getting fed locally. Lack of shelf space in bathroom/shower but a very minor inconvenience. TV sound quality a bit rough and I can't find the programmes I would like to watch since they switched provider. Again, minor.

- Mason (9/5): My 'home from home' in Dublin - The staff remember me every time and take care with the room they allocate me. Very kind and helpful at all times. Great location with everything I need on hand. Generous with tea and coffee in the rooms. Poor sound quality from tv and my inability to find programmes other than from a very limited on-screen menu. No shelf in bathroom/shower for things like toothpaste and one's own shower gel/soap. Very minor inconveniences.

- Anna-Marie (10/5): - Got upgraded to bigger room, which was really awesome! Really kind stuff, nice surroundings, Aldi right next to the hotel. Kinda missed some kind of fridge, ventilation in the bathroom was turning on and off itself, which was annoying at night.
- R (7/5): It was convenient but it is not really a place to stay more than 2 nights - The location was good, with bus stops outside and grocery shops, pubs and restaurants. friendly helpful staff. Warm room with easy to manage heating. No luggage rack so bags on floor. Expensive for the type of property it is.
- Jacqueline (7/5): Perfect location, close to shops, restaurants and bus stop outside or short walk into the centre. - Perfect location, close to shops, restaurants and bus stop outside or short walk into the centre.
- Mehdi (3/5): - The accommodation itself was acceptable, but the customer service experience was deeply disappointing. Despite having a confirmed booking through Booking.com, the property has an additional internal policy requiring phone or message confirmation. When they called at 8:00 PM and I was unable to answer, my booking was cancelled immediately — with no consideration for a guest left without accommodation for the night.
When I called back an hour later to reinstate the booking, the receptionist was shockingly rude, raising her voice and placing blame on me for missing the call. To make matters worse, she implied she was doing me a favour by not charging a higher rate — as though restoring a legitimately confirmed booking were a personal concession.
For a hospitality business, the standard of client-facing conduct here falls well below what any guest should expect. I would strongly encourage management to review their confirmation procedures and, more importantly, the manner in which their staff communicates with customers.

- Beard (5/5): - Comfy bed, wi-fi and tv work, location is great and surprisingly pretty quiet. Room smelled like stale smoke and only had instant coffee.
- Frederic (4/5): Prix non conforme pour la prestation - L’accueil du personnel La salle de bain, inadmissible moisissure apparente dans la douche, je peux vous transmettre des photos
- carladT4411OP (10/5): Fantastic experience. - The location is great. Really nice and quiet area with a bus stop right at the front door and a supermarket next to the hotel. It was also roughly 30 mins walking to the city centre so that’s great if you like walking!
- kearn (7/5): - Staff were lovely. Location quite central Room very basic. And no reception area to sit and wait just a desk
- Morena (8/5): -
- LCP1900 (2/5): I wouldn’t let my dog stay here - it was that BAD. - Possibly one of the most unpleasant hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. From the moment I arrived, the reception area felt uninviting and the hallways had more of a hostel-like feel than a hotel. The bedroom itself was extremely basic, closer to a hospital ward than somewhere you’d expect to relax.
The bathroom was a wet room with worn, dirty lino flooring and the shower was broken, spraying water in all directions. The “double” bed was simply two singles pushed together, which made for a very uncomfortable night’s sleep.
What stood out most was the complete lack of comfort, something you naturally expect from a hotel. I deliberately spent as little time in the room as possible. When I raised concerns with reception upon arrival, nothing was done and there was little interest in resolving the issues or following up. The same response was given when I mentioned it again upon leaving.
The room itself was cold, with a loose, insecure window fitting. Heating relied on a radiator, as there was no air conditioning. The WiFi didn’t work at all, forcing me to use my mobile hotspot.
Overall, a very poor experience. Unclean, uncomfortable and badly maintained. I certainly won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for even a basic level of comfort.

- 577noraj (10/5): Great stay - The hotel has everything you might need, not in the city centre but great bus connection just outsite the door. Comfy and clean rooms with tea and coffee facilities. The staff are amazing, special thanks to Isabel, Camilia and the very night receptionist Adrian.
- Annette (8/5): Had a comfortable stay and it was close to the friends I was there to visit - Very comfortable bed, friendly staff and location Although you could ask for a hairdryer at reception, it was inconvenient that there wasn’t one in the room as I feel it is a necessity
- Diana Gabriela (10/5): My stay was very good, everything was clean and the service was incredible. Everyone was very friendly. The place is wel - Everything was good.

- nvidiat2026 (10/5): Short and lovely stay - Short 2 night stay . Affordable and fit my needs and the location was good . They had parking but I didn’t need it . The receptionist Isabel was really nice and helpful .Will stay here next time I’m back
- K8151ARjohna (10/5): Camelia review - My short stay at Travelodge Rathmines was unbelievable thanks to Camelia! She was so helpful with any questions I had regarding travel . She was so hospitable and nice! Camelia helped me with tickets a hop on hop off tour and it was great. She is truly amazing.
- 619lylej (10/5): 10/10 experience - I thoroughly enjoyed travelling to Dublin from Florida. Perfect location and easy access to Dublin City Center. Camila made our trip a lot more comfortable as we are not able to use mobile phones easily due to our age, she made sure we knew where we were going and helped us during our stay with tickets to sightseeing. Beautiful service and enjoyable stay.
- 766eleanorp (10/5): Amazing - Camelia and Isabella were absolutely incredible and so helpful. Can’t wait to stay here again!
- Caroline (8/5): - It was very clean and quiet.
- Ciaran (8/5): Pleasantly surprised by comfort, cleanliness of rooms and how nice the staff were. Would stay again. -

- Emma (7/5): Pretty good - The staff at reception were excellent! So friendly and helpful.
The room did what it said it would - there's a bed, toilet, and shower that all worked.
Although a bit out of the city there's a bus stop right outside which was perfect! The walk into the city is also lovely. And the airport express bus stops right round the corner.
One random point - the cinema 2 seconds away is awesome! It was expensive for what it was, however it was still cheaper than other places so I think it's just Dublin being expensive.
- Mc gowan (8/5): - Spotles Notting much
