• Niccolò Alberto (5/5): Chaotic and erratic check-in process. - The building in which Aram Kerasi is located is very central. It takes less than 5' walk to get into Istiklal Caddesi. Very strategically located. The room was nice and clean, but access to the property was not well coordinated. There is no permanent staff at the reception, so entrance/access details are shared by the owner on WhatsApp (through the number provided during the booking process). My phone did not work in the days of the booking so I did not receive the customary messages then. I was contacted the day of my arrival, via Booking.com (email notification), to which messages I immediately answered via email. I did not receive the access details, therefore upon arrival the door was locked and not having internet I would have been locked out had it not been for another Guest who happen to exit at the moment of my arrival. Once inside, I managed to speak to a Housekeeping individual who called the Management, who (over the phone) very adamantly insisted on the fact that details were circulated but not delivered because my WhatsApp did not work. Overall, it was a chaotic and mechanical check-in process, which I did not enjoy. Therefore, apologies in advance, but I cannot rate my stay highly, nor recommend booking here.
• Renata (9/5): - I liked the communication - George was easy to get in touch with, I appreciate that. Good value and flexible. It was cool that there was a sink with a soap, a fridge, even a microwave and a hot plate. The shower was HOT, and it was warm inside. I also was happy the windows opened - it was nice to have some fresh air. Bonus: AMAZING kebab places next door. The bed was comfy - so lots to like about this place! It was a bit far from the metro to my taste. Since I had 2 heavy bags and were traveling alone, the getting to the place was challenging - but if you're traveling by taxi, it's a good location coz it's less busy and more local then Taksim hotel area where I normally stay. If you decide to get lost in the area, lots of adorable street art to take photos of.

The rooms were super clean, comfortable, and well equipped for the price. The location was great, and the hotel owner was a very nice and helpful guy. The only downside was that there was no elevator, which made it a bit difficult for my friends staying on the upper floors.

The hotel management was very helpful and responsive via WhatsApp, though I never met him in person. Most of the time, there isn't anyone at the front desk, though they do have cameras for security. The neighborhood felt pretty safe, so it wasn't concerning. The management arranged transportation to and from the airport for us and was very helpful when there was an issue with the transport company. The room was a little small for two people and the mattress was not very comfortable. We stayed for 7 days and there was no maid service, I'm not sure if this is the norm- but it was not offered and I never asked about it (maybe it was available upon request?).
• Jose (10/5): Guest-centred alacrity and great value for money! - George has shown himself to be a fantastic host. Even prior to my arrival, he communicated well, with steady patience and rapidity. Perfection does not mean having everything go perfectly but rather how things are handled when they need to be communicated and resolved. There were a few things that needed to be resolved and George was the consummate host and acted VERY PROFESSIONALLY and made me feel like a valued guest, all the way. The wifi was a bit sporadic sometimes but Ajay, the property assistant, was more than helpful in this matter. I could even do my laundry on site without problems. This was well appreciated! Overall, my experience is that this was great value for money, great location, excellent communication on many levels and very guest-affable. Thus, I have given my experience ten out of ten. I would definitely return and I can definitely recommend this listing!

Everything was exceptionally clean, and the rooms were fully equipped with all the essentials. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even assisting us with parking, which was free of charge. If no parking spots are available, there is a parking lot just a 2-minute walk away, costing only €5 per day. The only minor challenge was the heat, but the air conditioning, which could be set to heating, worked perfectly. Overall, everything was perfect! Tv not working

The room had a lovely double bed and was virtually silent from the street - we were able to get a great night's sleep and go for a walk around Beyoglu, which is all we needed! It was quiet, but pretty close to Galata tower and Istikal street (shopping area). The stairs are very steep and narrow, so not very convenient for older or people with any kind of issues with mobility. Also, the beam in the bathroom was very low (185cm maybe) so it can be a problem with anyone a bit taller. The room had a little cooker and a microwave, but then literally there is no place to make a sandwich.

• Alexandra (10/5): Excellent price-quality option - The location is great: a short walk from Istiklal Cad. and 15-20 minutes walk from Taksim, Galata, Karakoy... However, the rooms are located in a quiet street, away from the buzz and the noise. The bed is really comfortable and the room has everything one might need (fridge, locker, tea and coffee amenities). In terms of price-quality, this is a great place to stay. You must ask them to clean the room, as they don’t enter the rooms without permission. They left us toilet paper and a bottle of water every time they went there to clean the room. Also, we had a bottle of water when we arrived. George (the owner) is always available to help and he answers really quickly by WhatsApp. Also, Veli (from the staff) is a really nice person, always available to help. We loved to chat with him in the end of our long days walking around the city.

George and the staff were very understanding and stayed late to ensure our safe return and replaced our keys free of charge! • Georgina (9/5): Superb - Great location. It was in a very quiet area, about 5 or 10 mins walk to Taksim Square. Near enough to walk to easily, but far away enought to avoid the noise. The Studio on the top floor is separate from the terrace (accross the landing) but you are the only people on this floor. Very private and a lovely space to have coffee in the morning, The hosts were incredibly welcoming, Would happily stay here again. There is no lift and the stairs are quite steep, but I understand that they are looking to install one,

• Ahmad (10/5): amazing - i spent 10 days here. I think this is the most beautiful hotel in Istanbul without exaggeration. The hotel is located in a quiet, safe and clean neighborhood. You feel the spirit of Istanbul in this old neighborhood, there is no hustle and bustle, no bad smells, everything was so perfect and made my vacation wonderful. The location is close to the tourist places and I relied on walking for most of the outings. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is very helpful and kind and you will feel very comfortable in this place. everything was so perfect

• Svetlana (9/5): Excellent stay - It was a great pleasure to stay at the Aram Kerasi Rooms. The room was small in size, but comfortable and cozy. In addition to the usual amenities, the room had a small kitchenette where it was possible to cook or heat something in the microwave. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, all communication was very pleasant One thing to keep in mind is that there was no elevator. So if you have heavy bags, you will have to drag them up the stairs. Luckily, the hotel staff helped me get my bags downstairs when I left

• Ilkin (10/5): Exceptional - The check-in was pretty swift. Having stayed here in summer, I also liked the air conditioning in the room. The staff was also extremely helpful and understanding. Nothing notable. Perhaps that the assortments of foods and beverages was limited in the mini-fridge.
• Mia (8/5): Convenient location, clean room and friendly host - George was very friendly, hospitable and always available for any questions or concerns. We liked the location because we could easily walk from the hotel to any see sight as well as a lot of cafes and restaurants were close to the location. The room had a big bed and it was pretty clean. The building felt very safe because the entrance door was closed and you had to input a code to enter as well as they had a lot of cameras on the entrance and on each floor. The neighborhood was a bit scary at night. The windows didn't have a net so we had a problem with mosquitoes at night in our room. It was also very humid with a closed window and our clothes felt moist.

• Mahdi (9/5): Superb - The location is like 15 minutes walk from Taksim square. But if you cross the road, there is a 5 min walk to the center of Istiqlal road. Not bad at all ! The best thing was how quick, friendly and responsive was George the owner. The stairs, as I have a bad knee, but that was not a big issue.

• Danila (8/5): Good value for money! - Firstly, George was a super host! He was always in touch, tried to resolve all of our questions. The apart hotel is located near Taxim Square (easy to get from the airport by bus). Less then 10 minutes walk from Istiklal. The room was clean and cozy. Like in the photos. New looking furniture. The main problem is poor sound insulation. If you have a light sleep, it is better to take a room on the top floor.
