- Gladys (2/5): - As soon as you get in the smell is really bad like wet carpet húmed I wouldn’t recommend to no one
Run away from this place
- Verified traveler (8/5): Vacation - Good. But area not nice.
- Jennifer (4/5): - Very clean and spacious.
Noise from the road and hallways/ other rooms terrible, especially at 3:00 a. M., not hotels fault but made for a terrible stay.
No glasses in room. Fumigation at 7:15, while having breakfast
- jarett (8/5): - For price point all was to be expected, shower was surprisingly hot and good pressure. The rooms are a bit outdated, but bed was firm and clean
- RAJESH (2/5): - Not at all clean
- Leticia (6/5): - Extremly limited parking. The property is old and everything is run down. Its clean but since the property is so not taken care off looks extremely dirty. In an area in by the front entrance they have a bunch of old broken items that make the place look horrible. The area around is also not the best place. Alot of abandoned places
- Karina (6/5): - The place has good location but the place needs renovation and the air conditioning was dropping water all the time and make the floor slippery
- LOREN WILLIAM (6/5): - Pigeon poop all over the little balconies!
- Geraldine Angelica (2/5): - Nada
- Carolina (8/5): - It was ok to rest and spend the night after a long day!
- MOSHOOD (2/5): - This hotel doesn't have hot water. i had no shower for 6 days. There is horrible smell in the room . The smell is sort of drainage smells. The Internet doesn't work in the room and the staff only speaks Spanish. The hotel is over priced and dirty . Please add more few dollars to stay in proper hotel. Avoid Caribe International at all cost
- MOSHOOD (2/5): - I stayed at Caribe International and i couldn't shower for 6 days . No hot water and the bathrooms smells of drainage.
No Internet in the room ,only at reception and the staff only speaks Spanish. The hotel is the worst have ever stayed. i would not return here never. i would advise people to stay away. its horrible
- Michal (2/5): - The worst car rental experience so far in my life
- Silvia (2/5): Terrible, noisy and location not safe! - I reserved for 1 night a room with 2 beds, I’m assuming I forgot to select 2 persons and it was showing only 1 in the reservation. The front desk associate charged me for the extra person. Hotel is NOT as shows in pictures. Room had a bad smell! It was extremely noisy during the night, outside the hotel and people passing by in the hallway. To get to the hotel from the ADO bus station, one needs to walk through dirty streets, it doesn’t feel safe at all.
- Maria (2/5): - i stay only one night in this hotel . is terrible
- Monica (4/5): - Close to everything
- Verified traveler (4/5): - ????? Sucks
- Peter (6/5): - This is a good value budget hotel, it is clearly seen better days as the rooms are a little shabby, cleanliness overall was pretty good. The desk staff aren’t particularly helpful, I got charged for an early check-in which considering the room was ready was a little disappointing. Part of the reason staying at this hotel was to sit around the pool only to find that the sunbeds shown in the photographs were no longer there, when I asked I was told “it is broken”...
I know it shouldn’t be a big deal whilst you’re on vacation, but the Wi-Fi really didn’t work, I get it, it shouldn’t be that important but if wifi is advertised it should work in my opinion. You could receive an email or two that was about it try streaming something and forget about it. All that said this is a budget hotel in a good location and still pretty good value for money..
- Jose (2/5): - Is the worst hotel where I stay, the hotel is old and smell so bad, not internet in the rooms, and the people who work there so rude, I never ever come back again, bad really bad experience 😡😡😡
- Gemma (8/5): - Great location meant we could explore both the downtown as well as the hotel zone
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Good locatioon. But we were not greeted very nice upon arrival.
- Ken (6/5): - The hotel is quite old but was a good value for the buck. It was within walking distance to the bus terminal for trips throughout the Yucatan. We went to Holbox Island for a week after our stay at the hotel.
- Wendong (4/5): Loud music downstairs will rock your world! - Do Not stay here, or you will be rocked by the loud music downstairs whole night till 7AM! I can practically feel the shaking of the music in my room, I wonder why nobody else posted this problem, otherwise I will never book this hotel. Also there is no WIFI in the room, only in the lobby. Even there WIFI is like Hiccups, on and off, come and go, very unstable.
I usually don't write bad reviews, even I am usually happy to stay at Hostels. But this hotel really caught my attention.
You have been warned!
- Rodney (8/5): - The best thing about the hotel is it’s Price. Next it is close to the bus terminal and nice restaurants and other activities. The staff was friendly. However Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby. Make sure you ask for The Wi-Fi that matches Apple products if you have an iPhone or iPad. They have two WiFi one does not work well with Apple. This is our second time staying there and we stayed for two weeks. We will almost certainly stay again.
- Jean-louis (6/5): Muy regular - El hotel es muy regular, habia una fuga de agua que salia de la taza del baño, tambien las sabanas estaban con manchas pero la ubicacion estaba bien. Falta una buena remodelacion para quedar bien.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked that it is close to restaurants and supermarkets.
- george (2/5): - worst place in cancun they have the parking on the back and they did not let me park my car only after 3 pm check in time so i had to leave the place for 1/2 hour because i was not able to park there until 3 terrible service and the staff very unfriendly
- Verified traveler (2/5): - There was nothing that was advertised except a pool, no restaurant, no coffee nook, no bar. The toilet was clogged...and they could not fix it. We had a reservation for three people and they tried to put us in a room with one double bed. It was very disappointing; it will not happen again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property is located in the center of the city, which was great. I didn't like that the WiFi is only available in the lobby
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I’m only staying one day that plase was a berry bad sperience. I still waiting for May refund.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I like the location, fast check in and check out, thanks
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great hotel great location staff very professional
- Verified traveler (2/5): - No recommended. Has to be continue to be refurbished
- eulogio (6/5): - Found bugs in the bed on one of the room (we had 3 rooms)
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I like the place and the location definitely I will came back to stay with this hotel to my next yrip
- Gabriela (10/5): - Good location. Fair price. I will come back for sure
- Verified traveler (6/5): An old hotel with not wifi in the room. - The mattress were hard, to sleep on it was not good experience; mold were on the bath, not hot water; the hotel is just dirty, needs a lot of maintenance; good point is the personal, they are friendly and good helpers.
- Denise (4/5): No airport shuttle or service - They claim airport shuttle but they don’t have one! Beware. The taxi ride from the airport it’s gonna cost as much as the stay (about usd 40)
- trevor (10/5): - Location good, well maintained, property clean and gives you all you need, Armando and Jim/Nathan very friendly. Suggestions for improvement, in room safes and ice machines would be nice.
- SAMANTHA (8/5): Great 2 day getaway - It was nice, the shower pressure was low and that’s the only thing I have to complain about. Been to many resorts and it felt like I was at a resort out back. They offer breakfast for a small fee and it was great. The people working there were very nice and the girls that made our breakfast were great. The pool area is super comfortable. Rooms were decent, beds comfortable.
- Maritza (2/5): - Ugly and old hotel. And the parking is only for the night
- M (4/5): - Super noisy hotel! People in the pool area close to midnight making a lot of noise and the reception did nothing. Only ‘Resguardo’ parking which is useless if u need your car.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room stunk bad like a sewer. Paper thin walls.
- Elliot (2/5): - No WiFi the tv channels where weak no microwave loud music from 10pm until 5am the staff was not helpful at all
- Verified traveler (4/5): Caribe room service - My experience at this hotels was not so good because the room was not service properly. They would service the room and "forget" new clean towels, drinking cups, hand soap. I would have to ask for new towels and drinking cups, hand soap, etc. Why do I have to ask them to do their job? I do not get it. Good luck on your stay.
- Alex (2/5): - PLEASE READ! This is the worst hotel ever. The staff was OK but the room was dirty and the humidity smell gave me an allergy. I turned on the AC and it roared as a lawn mower. To top it off, they told Expedia they would not reimburse my money because I had checked in and out. Horrible hotel, it is creepy. STAY AWAY!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - For the price paid, it was a decent deal. The hotel is quite old, and could do with some refurbishment, but the room was clean (and very large), and had A/C and a warm shower, so can't really complain.
The only thing to be aware of is the bar/nightclub next to the hotel, which on the night of our stay, played loud music until 5.30am, which was somewhat irritating and prevented a good night's sleep.
- Joy (2/5): - I just cry when i saw the room need to remodel an it smell real bad
- David (4/5): - It to noisy, the music goes on all night. The shower runs out of hot water.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Safe area - Safe area great places to eat and local cabs charge 100 (5 bucks) to Hotel zone if you take Hotel cab they change 150 (7.50 buck)
- hugo (8/5): - Location its the best part of this hotel
For the price i think its fair
Its already old .good air condition.
- Martin (2/5): - This is a terrible hotel!! Too much noise all night!! No clean, and no respect the prizes!! They charge more they what said in the internet!!! They charge me $330 pesos more!!!
- Pablo (10/5): Nice Hotel stores and restaurants close by - I love this hotel is my second time I stay here. You can find everything you need close by drug stores, cleaners restaurant etc.
- Karla (2/5): The experience ever!! - The pictures about the hotel does not show the real conditions of the facility. We had to use a pen to turn off the TV since they don’t have remote controls. The area is terrible, there are prostitutes inside of the hotel waiting for guest to hire them.
- Verified traveler (4/5): did not like at alla - very old and poor . had to look for another one.
room old and depressing. wifi very poor
- Joey (4/5): I was disappointed horrible ara - Not hot water very bad area prostitution. Transversal activity loud. Nice tacos stands, not family oriented. The staff was very nice.
The elevator is wired floor 5 is floor 4 floor six is floor 2. Never again
- PANOS (6/5): Very good place - Good and cheap hotel but our room without view. Breakfast must improoved.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - First I check in and check out same day in 15mins, its the worst hotel ever , expedia should not recommand this hotel at all. I spend $300 and got room in Ramada cancun city from Hotel.com.
Expedia should remove this hotel from the list.
- Diana (2/5): 0 - Ugly hotel, bad service !
- Traveler (4/5): A half star hotel - Not bad for the price, but don't recommend it. Dirt in the walls, door frames, bad smell, bad odors, no elevator, sellers insisting you to buy tickets and offers. I only used it to sleep. The bathroom has a rotten vanity with a bad odor. Need one new. Floor in the bathroom without any carpet to avoid slips. Please renew the Bath Towels: it were not white! Personnel was nice but no exceptional. Room has a terrible humidity bad odor. Furniture in bad shape, ceiling has black spots of mildew. Air conditioner nice. I think this hotel need better administration. I think they are remodeling the elevator. With a great location, near everything they has to be more competitive. Gardens very ugly. The supposed parking did not has enough space, we parked in the avenue! In front of the Hotel. I did not try their breakfast... with that experience... I think breakfast could sick me! I see the crossing street hotel, Ramada, we ate our breakfast there. If I was searched better, I better choose Ramada. Very clean, exceptional personnel, no bad odors, elevator and the price is very competitive. I think this Caribe International hotel is half star quality.
- R (2/5): Do not book - There is no elevator. Room stinks and bathroom stinks even worse. Furniture are old, walls need to be painted. The music from the bar next door, kept me awake all night. As a whole, my experience was very unpleasant. For what is offered, the price is not good either.
- carlos (2/5): - Do not stay in this hotel, very old dont have elevator, no hot water, worst hotel i have been. Orbitz should take out from options bad experience
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This hotel was closed for years. When they reopened it they simply splashed some paint around. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
- kan (2/5): Pathetic and horrible - Iwas traveling to Cancun with a guest who was 85 year old, booked hotel Carine internacional through Expedia, they said they have shuttle service and breakfast included, but when I arrived at Cancun airport the shuttle was not there, called the office no one was able to speak English, finally after calling multiple times, one guy was able to understand, he told they have no shuttle service, so I have to hire a taxi, when I arrived at hotel they had no room available at lower level, which I requested because of the old guest with me, plus they don't have elevator, so they provide us a room at hotel Hacienda just next door, which was so horrible that if someone offer it for free, I wouldn't have taken it, small room with no AC working no side table no pen or paper, or phone, room tiles were broken, inspect crawling over the wall, toilet with no toilet paper, have to ask the counter, shower hot water tap not working, called Expedia multiple times discuss the situation with Juana, Sam, and two other customer service people every time they put me on hold and the line keep on disconnecting, because of pathetic internet connection, so everyone I have to call I have to speak with new agent, and I have to repeat the whole story, even the last two agent I talked to said they will email me after talking to the office, which they didn't do. I approach the hotel counter to move to anoth the hotel guys said to call Expedia Canada, they won't do anything. Won't book thro Expedia any
- Bellatrix (4/5): - WIFI rarely worked in my room and had to use it in the lobby. House Cleaning kicks you out of the room at 9am, if you sleep in your room won’t get cleaned. The room was spacious but not glamorous. Most of the staff only speak Spanish so be prepared to play spainish charades. Staff is very friendly and hospital though!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Broken down hotel in busy traffic business area - Room on fifth floor first night with no elevator. Clean but broken-down
- Verified traveler (2/5): Black Mold - This hotel room was covered in black mold, my friend is now extremely sick and having to seek medical attention after we stayed there for the week. Horrible. Don't stay here.
- JAGG (2/5): Avoid - This is a horrible hotel that has not received any investment in furniture or maintenance in many years. The pictures are a deception because it is actually much worse. Avoid.
- Nafharia (2/5): False advertising: - The Ad says Shuttle Service, Breakfast and WiFi. This was expected to come with the package. The only thing you get is WiFi which is so poor.
- ELK (6/5): Solid 3 star - Great value with friendly staff! Currently renovations are being done and the staff are able to keep areas clean despite repairs.
The hotel is in the city and very close to Market 28, grocery stores and restaurants.
If you're a light sleeper a small downtown hotel might not be for you.
Water coolers are on site that dispense hot and cold water.
This hotel would be great to practise your Spanish.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Not Bad, decent room there's no elevator, so if your room is 4 floor. Its a workout..
- Costa (6/5): Ok for one night - Good for a sleepover, there is no much to do round , except 2-3 music bars and cafes. Some work late, and you can hear music if the window is open.
- scott (2/5): Old dirty and stuffy - Horrible lazy staff. We will never return. We are bi lingual Spanish speakers.
- p (4/5): Elevator floor all its broken - Door rooom its broken a/c no working all seats dirty
- maribel (4/5): Too small and humble - It was small with a mice pool and ol staffsbut the erea is great close to mercado 28
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad to worst - The worst experience ever....i check in on 22nd and check out on 23rd....only 2 nights of 4...???? Never will use this hotel
