• shan (8/5): The staff was really great and worked to accommodate us. We truly appreciate the late check out. - A great location. The building is a good blend of something old and something new. The pool was amazing. It needs better soundproofing between the rooms. If there is someone above you whenever they move a chair or luggage or something gets dragged across the floor it is extremely loud in the room below. So once people above, you are leaving at six in the morning or coming and drunk from partying, you hear all about it. It’s like an echo chamber.

Beliggenheten var langt bedre enn jeg hadde forestilt meg, passe avstand til tetteste bykjernen. At hotellet ligger på en høyde, er ren bonus. Svømmebassenget og dets fasiliteter var helt upåklagelig, rent og pent. Personalet der var til fingerspissene høflige og pertentlige. Personalet i skranken var alltid høflige og behjelpelige med det vi lurte på. Opplevde en dag at rengjøringspersonalet hadde latt døren til vårt rom stå åpen og der var ingen i nærheten. Selve rommet kunne vært større, der var ikke plass til å ha en lenestol å kunne sette seg i, det ble lett til at man la seg i sengen.

Das Hotel hat einen persönlichen Charakter anders als die bekannten Hotelketten. Leider kein Fahrradverleih und Empfehlung „Rome for you“ in Trastevere nicht empfehlenswert. Alte Fahrräder im schlechten Zustand - technisch wie optisch. Trotz toller Lage, umgeben von Autoverkehr, speziell hörbar am Pool.

• Ann (10/5): A Wonderful Escape at the Grand Hotel Gianicolo - Our stay at the Grand Hotel Gianicolo was everything we hoped for and more. The setting is stunning, the building is beautiful, and the welcome we received each time we walked through the door was genuinely heartfelt. We absolutely loved enjoying drinks on the outdoor patio — a gorgeous place to sit back and soak it all in. The restaurant was fantastic as well, with great food and great service. Truly a perfect stay. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. There was nothing we didn't like.

It is a lovely building set in the peaceful area of Rome so perfect for us,only downside was the pool was out of order, but with everything we had to see and do in our short stay. Breakfast was lovely and freshly and topped up at regular intervals,the bar was nice and peaceful at night so we could relax after a long day. We had a alarm going off on the one night during or stay which woke us all but other than that was good,we would stay again next year but it seems to be going up in price
• 409rhiannep (10/5): Wonderful hotel, a gem above the city - We stayed 3 nights over Easter weekend. This is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. With a short walk down hill to Trastevere, it is an ideal place to start exploring Rome. A short walk 2 min walk to Janiculum Hill you can view the most spectacular views over the city and watch the midday cannon fire....Staff were very attentive. Breakfast was ample, with bacon eggs, mushrooms, cold meats and cheese, and a selection of pastries. After our days out meeting our friends from Rome we returned to a pristine room every day. We will return to this beautiful hotel and plan to next year
• litta (6/5): Unfortunately no glutenfree pasta - Great location and comfortable beds Lovely but very 70’ties style, could do with an update. There a strong smell of chlorine inside which I think they use to clean with. Alsmost any where in Rome I as a gluten allergic can find gluten free pasta ect , but not at the hotel. I do had dinner one evening, fish and I must say that it was not very good at all. So maybe get a new cook. The reception feels more like a 2-3 star, definitely not a 4 star hotel .

Eles não ligam o ar condicionado e me mandaram abrir as janelas🤨 o Sr. Recepcionista não faz a menor questão de ser simpático e o quarto além de pequeno é sujo e barulhento!!! O Hotel só engana na entrada!!!

• DayTrip05571902512 (10/5): My Roman Home away from Home - For approximately 30 years, I have been traveling to Rome on business, and for nearly all of that time I have stayed at the Grand Hotel del Gianicolo. In fact, I would not stay elsewhere in Rome. The Hotel Gianicolo is beautiful, pristine, and immaculately clean. Its entire staff - especially its Manager, Signore Sergio, whom I known for 30 years - are outstanding, kind, and always ready to assist. The Hotel is located atop the Janiculum Hill, one of the most idyllic and peaceful parks in all of Rome. Room size was good (especially for a European city) Very small shower in room (although our friend's had a big shower in their room). Shower temps change rapidly without warning. Pool was out of action but no one mentioned it. 35 euro city tax on check out!! Noisy drilling in adjacent one afternoon with no warning. Road around the hotel has got very noisy.

The room was a bit small, but still okay and comfy. When I entered the windows were open and it was a bit chilly, but since it as late and the heating system was pretty loud I prefered to keep it off. The pool looks cool, but it was cald and rainy.
