Parking is in&out which means you can't take your own car when you need it. For one night if you are looking for something 9/10 in LA it's fine but I would not stay here again.

The rooms are each named after old Hollywood actors and each room has its own unique character and charm. The beds and furnishings are cozy and comfortable. The management, and hotel staff - front desk / valet / Housekeeping all ensure that each guest is welcomed with open arms! A special shout out to Kiki. She is kind and has a great demeanor for hospitality. I highly reminded the Prospect!

Aber leider ist der Service nicht wirklich gut.... es wird einem wie in einem billigen Hotel in Vegas eine Resort Fee auf's Auge gedrückt. WLAN gegen Gebühr, obwohl es im Zimmerpreis bei Buchung enthalten war. Ein "Frühstück", das den Namen nicht verdient und überteuert ist. Also Vorsicht beim Checkin und wenn möglich gegen die zusätzliche Resort Fee einen Einspruch erheben!

The room was great with such a comfortable bed. The courtyards fire pit was cozy for pre/post dinner drinks. Our stay was like visiting with friends!

Our flight was delayed and we couldn’t arrive until 1 am, but someone was waiting for us and prepped everything so we could get to bed as soon as possible. It’s in a great location walkable to many neighborhoods, or a 10 minute drive to others. The Prospect is always going to be our hotel of choice when we visit LA.

The decor is beautiful and well maintained. The courtyard is lush and welcoming. On one of my past trips to the area, I stayed at comparably priced hotel nearby as The Prospect was booked. The place was ok but did not come close to measuring up to The Prospect in terms of ambiance and helpfulness of the staff. I just love it and will definitely be back. There is really no where else I'd rather stay.

The staff was exceedingly friendly, service-oriented, and helpful. They charged our car overnight for a reasonalbe fee making it easy to drive our EV to Los Angeles. The morning coffee and snacks were greatly appreciated. We will stay there again.

I stayed in 2 rooms (loved it so much I extended my trip) and both were gorgeous. The lobby and courtyard are beautiful, peaceful, and wonderful to spend time in. I love that the Prospect is elegant yet tucked away on a side street so it feels somewhat more like a really nice apartment building than a hotel. The one request I have for the future is to add some savory dairy-free options at breakfast; having a lactose allergy, I could eat the fruit but none of the delicious looking pastries or quiche. The customer service was also flawless - friendly, genuine, intelligent, helpful, and great to chat with. Special shoutout to Key at the front desk who is the best, most helpful concierge on earth - I don't know how he does it all! I will be back as often as possible.

Our “Rita Hayworth” room was gorgeous; elegant, comfortable, and full of old Hollywood charm. The décor was stunning, the linens were luxurious, and the pillows were heavenly. Breakfast was delicious, especially the quiche! The outdoor patio was beautiful and relaxing, with cozy gas fires that made the cool evenings perfect for sitting outside with a drink. - 686kikiw (10/5): Intimate Hideaway with Hollywood Glamour and Modern Comforts - We really enjoyed our short retreat in this secluded, intimate hotel in the heart of Hollywood. The Prospect is a boutique hotel located a few blocks from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It's tucked away in a quiet side street, next to residential buildings. Our room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The fixtures were reminiscent of vintage, golden age of Hollywood designs, but were well-maintained. We loved the Diptyque toiletries and soft towels. The Prospect has a small courtyard with fire pits that is surrounded by all kinds of native greenery. It was a great place to hang out for quiet conversations after a long day of exploring. The extra add-on fees were a little steep ($30 for Wifi and breakfast and ~$50 for valet parking). You can save on the parking fees by going to the parking garage a little further down the street, closer to the main Hollywood walk).

- peaker79 (10/5): Beautiful Oasis - The Prospect, a boutique hotel with only 24 rooms, was an unexpected jewel in the heart of Hollywood and a perfect retreat from the chaos of Hollywood Blvd just a couple of blocks away. From the moment we entered the front door, we were warmly greeted by Kim in the beautiful lobby where a delicious breakfast of hearty pastries, juice, and coffee is served each morning. In addition, there is a gorgeous outdoor courtyard filled with lush foliage and two blazing fire pits where you can sit and relax and visit with other guests. Each room is named after a classic Hollywood star and has its own unique personality and decor. The rooms we saw were very eclectic and beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Steve McQueen room, which had a luxurious bathroom with a huge walk in shower, a comfortable king size bed, and a fully stocked bar. Kim is an amazing hostess and saw to all our needs with charm and efficiency. Kim is definitely an asset to The Prospect, and so was Nathan, the night host. I would highly recommend staying at the Prospect Hollywood if you visit LA.

I stayed in the Marlon Brando room & whoever designed this place did an amazing job. The view of the courtyard provides nothing but green & if you’re looking to escape the amazing confides of your room there’s plenty of places to hide in said courtyard complete with fire pits & a water feature. Speaking of water the pressure was outstanding. My only complaint would be the huge key you’d have to lug around for access to the hotel & your room. Bed linens were equally impressive. Rooms are full of colors, the hotel is extremely quiet, you’ll be on a first name basis with the staff & cleanup for your room will only take about 20 minutes because it’s such a small hotel. Bath salts have him googling them but I’m told it’s dyptique but isn’t available to the public. Hurry up & book this

Things I would change: -Customers should not be forced to opt into the $30 breakfast at the time of booking and should be able to easily opt out and hotel parking fees are way to high. $30-$35 would be more reasonable. Rooms are expensive to begin with parking should not be at a crazy high cost $50 per day yikes! Otherwise great place!

Kiki greeted us with such genuine warmth, and the little touches she provided throughout our stay meant so much. We were upgraded and brought a bottle of bubbly since we were celebrating. The room was posh yet comfortable, the grounds were comfortable and welcoming, and we really appreciated the drinks served in the evening at the bar. It is such a bonus that check in was at 3pm and check out at 12pm - that is unheard of these days and SO helpful so a one-night stay can actually be enjoyable. We were in perfect walking distance to the Hollywood Bowl. The beds were lush and perfectly comfy. The bar was fully stocked with some awesome options. It was a perfect getaway and bday/anniversary celebration!

We enjoyed a concert at The Hollywood Bowl the first night; hotel is within walking distance (about 15/20 walk). Manager and staff of The Prospect were very helpful with dinner and spa/pool day pass recommendations. Spot on. Everyone was so kind and we felt well cared for during our stay. We will be back again.
- Keng-Yu (4/5): False advertisement regarding “free breakfast” - Even though we had a good stay at the hotel, we later found out that the breakfast was not free and we were charged for a $34.26 service fee for the continental breakfast which should have been included when booking on hotels.com. Furthermore, by reviewing the hotel policies page after the fact, a service charge should have included “champagne and savory quiches” and an afternoon aperitif hour that we were not offered at all (https://theprospecthollywood.com/policies/). Despite multiple email communications regarding the misleading listing on hotels.com and the lack of disclosures by the hotel staff at the time of check-in, our request for a refund was denied by the management. This unfortunately put a major stain on an otherwise enjoyable stay at this property.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! - It was an exceptional experience! Kiki & the entire staff were super friendly & helpful. We arrived at 10AM & they stored our luggage (no charge) while we went out for the day. Upon returning at 3pm, Kiki walked us to our room where they'd already put our bags. She explained our room key would also unlock the hotel's front door. We appreciated they kept it locked at all times; you could either ring the bell to be let in or use your key. I selected this hotel for its proximity to the Hollywood Bowl since seeing a show was the whole reason we'd flown to LA. The excellent reviews were the other reason I chose to stay here. And boy, it did NOT disappoint! We were in Rm 14 - Rita Hayworth. It was spacious, clean, & the decor was funky and classy. As others have said, the bed was really comfortable. We slept great & were impressed at how quiet it was in our room, given we were facing the street. I opted to pay the extra $30 fee for the aperitif hour (5-6pm) & coffee/tea/pastries/fruit breakfast (7-10am). Definitely worth it when you consider what we would've spent on a few glasses of sparkling wine, unlimited coffee/tea, chocolate croissants & muffins if we'd gone to a restaurant for that. If you're going to the Hollywood Bowl, THIS is where you want to be. I had looked it up on Google Maps & still didn't realize just how easy of a walk it would be. THANK YOU to the entire staff for making this trip with my daughter an incredible memory! We WILL be back!

No views of the courtyard and the room seemed ridiculously small. Also that smell.. Pretty sure they thought I was some weirdo single guy and that’s why they treated me that way. I was about to vacate and just forget about it and take the $200+ loss, but my girlfriend convinced them to change our room. I guess I seemed more normal when they realized I wasn’t a lone traveler. All in all it was a decent place to crash but probably wouldn’t go back. The Valet setup is ridiculous too. I didn’t fall for it.

Turns out this is my new favorite small hotel in LA. The property is in exceptional condition - I heard today is their 4th anniversary, but in addition to being in great condition everything is spotlessly clean, and the place really captures the glamour of Old Hollywood - down to the rooms being named after classic stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age. I was welcomed during check-in with a glass of sparkling wine, shown up to the room, and even greeted by name when I came downstairs the next morning. The WiFi worked great, and there’s a superb little courtyard for relaxing and enjoying a drink in the evenings. Really exceptional setting, and service - I highly recommend The Prospect for business and leisure travelers.

I stayed in the James Dean room, which was phenomenal: beautifully decorated, spotless, and super comfortable. I also loved that it’s within walking distance of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, such a fun bonus! The outside patio was the perfect spot to relax and unwind, and the bar was excellent too, the Old Fashioned I ordered was one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything about this place exceeded my expectations and I’m already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay!
