• Ayse (10/5): - Die Lage ist einfach unschlagbar gut. Das Personal angefangen andere Rezeption dem Hotelpage, Zimmer, Personal und Küchenpersonal einfach freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten ein relativ großes, 21 m², Zimmer gebucht. Das Bett war super gemütlich das Badezimmer modern gefliest. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Huone oli pieni, jossa oli vaatekaappi ja kampauspöytä, mutta ei yhtään tuolia. erilliset sängyt olivat kapeat 80cm, patja oli kova ei pystynyt nukkumaan kyljellään. Myös tyyny oli kova ja pyytäessäni lisätyynyä, sanottiin että vain yksi tyyny per asiakas. Huone oli hyvin kulunut, samoin kylpyhuone. Lavuaarin hanasta tuli yleensä vain kylmää vettä ja yhtenä päivänä vettä ei tullut ollenkaan. Aamuisin tuli vain kylmää vettä joten hiustenpesu ei onnistunut. Bideesuihkua ei ollut. Pyyhkeet olivat kuluneita. Toisen kerroksen ikkuna oli kadulle, jossa oli paljon ravintoloita ja meteliä vaikka autoilla siinä ei voinut ajaa. Ikkunassa ei ollut pimennysverhot, vain ohut läpinäkyvä verho ja talo suoraan vastapäätä. Aamiainen oli ainoastaan turkkilainen jossa oli muutama erilainen juusto ja yksi makkaralaatu. Vain keitettyjä munia, hedelmänä oli mandariini, omena ja päärynä. Leipävalikoima pieni, vain pieniä patongin paloja.

Устаревший номерной фонд, не работал wi-fi в номерах, только на ресепшене внизу, в номера роутер не добивает. Также не работал кондиционер в номере, вернее он настолько старый, что воздух не охлаждает. Обещали исправить ситуацию, но проблема решена не была, переселить в другой номер также не предложили. Фото номеров в интернете не соответствует действительности, по факту номера хуже, старые и маленькие. Завтрак тоже на 3*, есть там нечего, даже яичницы и омлета нет, только вареные яйца и небольшая нарезка колбас.

• Miriam (9/5): Superb - The staff were very helpful, answered our confused questions and helped us booking a shuttle to the airport. The staff in the kitchen are also very lovely. The hotel's location is perfect, takes minutes to make it to the bridge and water, surrounded by a lively atmosphere and restaurants, and also close to where you can take the ferries so easy transport around the city. The room we stayed in was big and clean. We had booked 1 room with 4 beds, which we got, but when you go into the room it's seperated into a bigger part that has a bed for 2 airconditioned, and a smaller room with two beds with no air conditioner, so i wish this was stated clearly on booking.com

• Diana (6/5): Alright, but needs a lot of improvements - The hotel is very closed to the Galata bridge and within walking distance to some of the main attractions in Instanbul ( about 10/15 minuted walk to blue mosque, gran bazaar and so on) This is advertised as a 4 stars hotel, however I dont think it is. The hotel is clean, but the facilities seem to be stuck in the 1980s. The furniture and overall decor of the rooms is outdated! The bathrooms are functional and a bit more modern( imagine a 2000s bathroom). There are very small tvs in the room and there are a lot of touches ups that could be made to make the place better looking. Their lift only fits about 2 people and is very slow. Also, the hotel advertises that they have their own restaurant etc. But there isn't an option for room service. The included breakfast is ok, but the options are very limited! It's in a buffet style, and it includes mostly cheese and only Turkish style food! If you are European/ English, you don't have the option of eggs and so on.

• Arlene (9/5): Ipek palace is a lovely hotel with great staff in a beautiful city. - The hotel is lovely, staff are amazing and friendly. The location is the best thing about the hotel very close to shops, haggia sophia and topkapi palace is a short walk. Many restaurants just a few steps from front door and markets are close as well. The ferry port and river is only about a 15 minute walk. The hotel is kept very clean by the cleaners who are very attentive leaving fresh towels every day and checking room over. The size of room was far too small for me and my husband . Not enough storage space either. If we go back I will definitely make sure the room is bigger.

• Nasreen (10/5): Amazing - Mehmet, Ilyas, and the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing. The hotel is spacious, bright, and smells lovely as soon as you walk in. It is not a small boutique hotel but rather a lovely, spacious luxury hotel, especially the lobby areas in reception. We had the breakfast option and it was plentiful, fresh fruits, hot and cold options. The guys at reception helped as much as they could when I needed taxis or any other advice. Having visited Istanbul many times, I will definitely be returning to this hotel again. The location is ideal—just 5 minutes to the Spice Bazaar, Eminönü, and Gülhane, and a maximum of 10 minutes' walk to Sultan Ahmet, both main locations. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel, so food is never an issue. There's also a lovely seating area outside the hotel where you can drink chai or coffee in the mornings. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. We checked out at 12, but our flight was in the evening. The staff continued being super polite and offered refreshments of chai and kahve, which was so cute. They helped us weigh our luggage and carried it out, saying goodbye as if we were leaving family members behind. Young Ilyas is an asset to this hotel. He is super cute, polite, and a very well-raised young boy. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for a lovely stay. I didn't dislike anything much however we only had one key to the room, two would be more practical.

• Alan (10/5): Perfect thanks to great staff - İpek Palas Otel İstanbul The historic hotel, situated in the heart of Old Istanbul, just a few minutes walk from most of the major attractions, is aptly named. It’s decorated and furnished in a manner befitting an Ottoman palace. The rooms are very comfortable and kept immaculately clean. Although their style is old the equipment is modern with TV, internet, hairdryer and kettle, a very minor criticism is that we would have liked more drawers. There is a beautiful roof restaurant with a panoramic view of the city. The hotel arranged our private airport transfer for less than half the price our daughter was charged by Love Holidays for an overcrowded minibus, and less than the meter fee. They also give a slightly better rate of exchange than the exchange bureaux. Breakfast is the usual excellent Turkish breakfast of fruits, salad vegetables, olives, eggs, cheeses and cooked meats. The best feature of this great hotel is its staff, especially Mehmet, the front of house manager, and İlyas, the day porter, who go out of their way to be helpful. This is the eighth hotel that we have stayed in in Istanbul and we will definitely stay here the next time we visit this amazing city. Nothing

Mehmet was extremely helpful in recommending tours and restaurants. The thing I appreciated the most was that he looked after my mom when she got there early and was waiting for her room. They went to every length to look after her and make her comfortable. I will definitely recommend Hotel Ipek Palas to friends and family. It also had an excellent location and we could walk to all the attractions we wanted to see. The restaurant was closed. It would have been nice to try the food! WiFi in the room was also not great.
• Catherine (6/5): - Mixed review on Hotel Ipek Palas, the location is great, alot of shops close by as well as some restaurants, easy access to a tram stop but also you could walk to the big attractions, I'd say the location is perfect. The hotel itself is nice, clean but the breakfast is limited so it was a waste for us as after the first morning we never ate there again. The room was tiny, we only had access to one side of the bed, which was also very small and no room to move, couldn't even open a suitcase in the room had to open it Infront of the door or on the bed but then you had no where to sit. The bathroom in our room also smelt damp but seemed clean. Torn whether I would stop there again

I will stay there again but will not include breakfast. - Friendly staffs Cleanliness Right in business place Breakfast- no choice They make you pay for breakfast, the buffet is hard boiled eggs, and Turkish fingers food. If you don’t like it then you pay for omelet or orange juice.So I didn’t eat. So do not bother including breakfast. Eat out!
