- Andrei (8/5): - The property was new and not used. For a 5* hotel it is very wierd to not have large 1m x 1.8m bath towels. The biggest size available was around 80x50 which is the mid sized towel. Upon request we were informed that they do not have big ones. The photos of the room are also a bit innacurate, we booked one of the nicest rooms available- with the balcony, however, in real life it was a lot less shallow than shown on the images, and the ceiling hight at the balcony is very low, making it look almost like a cruise ship balcony. If we had known this before we would have stayed with the regular room. Also we came to this hotel for a birthday celebration and they didn’t offer a candle for a birthday cake as it is banned on the property, however in this case the team can usually provide custom cake, which wasn’t offered to us either. The hotel is nice but there is room for improvement in communication and basic things like towel size.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the stay feel seamless from start to finish. The rooms were very private and completely soundproof, which made for an excellent night’s sleep. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
- Rita (1/5): Disappointing Stay — Far Below Five-Star Standards - I arrived at midnight after missing my flight, very tired and expecting the comfort of a five-star hotel. Unfortunately, the room was not clean: there were stains in the bathroom, the hand soap seemed diluted, and I even found hair in the bed. Too exhausted to complain at night, I reported it at check-out but only received a brief apology, with no real attempt to make up for the inconvenience. I was also initially refused a simple request for help after check-out, which felt disappointing. Overall, a poor experience and not what you expect from a five-star hotel. I won’t be returning.
- amanjhingon (4/5): Pathetic service and no facilities - The hotel is very luxurious and their rooms are rather rather comfortable but for this hotel it ends there. The space is very restricted - it’s one tiny lobby, restaurant and the rooms that’s it spread across various floors. The space is rather tight and just for sheer luxury this hotel can’t be rated 5 star. A 5 star hotel has other amenities and facilities. This place has none. This place is more like an Airbnb or a residence where there is a reception and rooms. This is acceptable as well, however, to cover up for this the hotel does nothing. Their “star service” is really poor. I had a flight late that night and checked out at the standard time, and all hotels allow you to come back and use the pool/gym area to get changed and leave for the airport. However, since this building that the hotel is in is so restrictive, overall it’s a rather uncomfortable stay. I came back literally after 2 hours to change and asked the staff to escort me to the gym changing room (since it needs a key, again a restriction by the design of the hotel) and they completely refused saying sorry you have checked out you cannot use the bathroom to get changed. If this hotel had many other facilities like proper restrooms etc. it’s fine but they have just one that too for banquets and nothing else. It’s shocking how the staff that too they claim themselves to be star staff was so impolite and unaccommodating to even get changed using the gym toilet. Like I mentioned, all hotels allow you to come back and use their common areas and leave. How this is a 5 star is a question mark and their star service is pathetic. They seem very polite but all they say is “sorry, cannot do”. I once asked to see the restaurant when it had just closed to decide whether or not I want to have breakfast and all they said was “sorry, cannot” I mean it’s pathetic. Please choose from the very many other options.
- BigA1999 (10/5): Great luxury hotel but a bit off the path - This is a great luxury hotel, with amazing service. The rooms are great and super clean. The breakfast is amazing and the selection is great. The hotel itself is just great. However it is a bit off the path and not a lot of restaurant near by. But if you walk 20 min you will be in an area with restaurants. I will definitely choose this hotel again in the future.

- aaV2552HD (8/5): Solid but service should be emphasized - Very high room quality and well appointed. The presence of an electric piano did feel gimmicky at first but really added to the charm. The room quality and attention to detail is quite impressive. the views were absolutely fantastic from every corner of the property. I will say though the service was not polished and my check in was a bit of a mess and quite unhelpful. I saw a lot of staff members just standing around and chit chatting instead of engaging with guests. Did not feel true five stars to me. I asked a question prior to the stay and it was never replied. This area should be improved. Overall, I can see why this is why one of Marriott’s more sought after point farm redemptions in Tokyo. The high room rate gives illusion of a high value redemption but I think there are better properties out there in Tokyo at a similar level. Overall, the hard product is indeed quite good. It is a very comfortable stay overall and it is a go for me.

I mean you check in on the 16th floor which overlooks the bay and it is conveniently located next to everything. We were welcomed by Fuka and she was so welcoming and knew everything about the hotel. Thank you for your hospitality. Their amenities box in the room along with so many other details are just beautiful and so well thought out. Wish I could have stayed longer and can’t wait to come back but do yourself a favor and stay here if you can.
- Josephliyen (8/5): Great hotel with a few rough edges - This was a gorgeous hotel. The lobby is one of the most beautifully decorated lobbies I've ever seen. I loved the digital piano in the room, which I played and enjoyed. I loved its coffee and bath salts and used them daily in the room. The bathrobe is one of the most comfortable I have ever used, rivaling my favorite from the Ritz-Carlton Maldives. Furthermore, the housekeeping team is one of the best we have ever experienced. Every time I came back to the room, it is impeccable and spotless, with everything restocked to the brim. One day I accidentally forgot to turn off the dnd sign, and upon my return, I called the front desk to ask for some bath salts and coffee for the morning. The housekeeping team came at 9:30pm, and in less than 5 minutes replaced all our towels, supplied all new bathrobes, refilled all the supplies. It felt pretty much like a full room make up. I wish I grabbed the lady's name as she was polite, friendly, professional and warm. One of the highlights was the breakfast, which featured a carb omelet and Japanese ramen. The former has such a thick crab sauce layered onto the omelet I could smell the aroma from a foot away, while the latter had 4 different soup stocks rotating through the week, which was much appreciated and all tasted as good as high ranking tabelog ramen shops. However, I find the staff in general, although polite and professional, rigid and immovable. My wife wasnt feeling well one morning and was skipping breakfast. Our stay included breakfast for two, this was our last day, and the staff noticed my wife wasnt with me in the morning. I explained the situation, then asked if it would be OK for me to take 2 hard boiled eggs with me for her. The staff was very reluctant but said yes. I understand the rules of a buffet, but it felt like I have broken some law by requesting so. In comparison, I always remembered our JW Marriott Bonnet Creek stay where when we had to head to Disney world earlier so couldn't have a sit down buffet, the staff gave us 2 big take away boxes and told us to go into the restaurant and load them up. The egg station chef heard our situation and just grabbed my box and loaded 8 over easy into it without me saying anything. I will remember that stay for the rest of my life. Another incident was the MESM absolutely would not let me keep a room key as a keepsake. I have never encountered this at any Marriott brand hotels, nor their sister hotel, the Osaka Station Hotel. In fact, OSH offered me additional keys with different colors to keep. I even offered to pay for one at MESM they still said no. I recognize these are me problems, and i respect the hotels rules, but I rarely experience this kind of pushback at luxury hotels, given the hotels at this level always made our stays very memorable and special. This was a great hotel, but a few rigid rules separated it to be a part of our most memorable hotel stays.

- Jamie575 (8/5): Hidden gem - nice rooms, caring guest relations, good gym - Hidden gem near Shiodome and overlooking Tokyo Bay. Hotel is about 10min from Ginza and very near Tsukuba market. It has a large Family Mart nearby the hotel. There’s also a medium sized parking lot where we parked our rented car overnight (8pm-9am) for ¥1800. (After 9am, ¥500 every 10min) Note that the hotel valet parking is ¥4000 overnight. We were greeted by the bell hops/door men, who took charge of our luggage. Since we were early for checkin, we left to wander the streets. We came back to our room with our luggage already in the room. Rooms Good sized rooms with comfortable King bed. Charging ports next to the bed, and a drawer for your extra bits. There’s also a clock on the side of the bed. Of note was the writing pad with Japanese calligraphy pen. Interesting addition to the room. There’s a mini electric piano under the TV, and further down closer to the large bay windows was a kettle and tea/coffee facilities. Coffee is the drip type. A fridge in the cupboard below, with cans of orange juice and beer and a large Tetra Pak of water. The green tea powder and traditional tea making implements in the drawer next to the fridge. A large couch sat next to the windows. Our room looked out to Tokyo Bay, which was really nice. We were able to manage the room temperature and it was good. Temperature gauge is in English. There’s a flat screen TV mounted to the wall. But it has limited TV stations - two western entertainment stations besides the usual CNN & BBC. Spotty chromecast linkage so I had to watch TV on phone. WiFi was good and no issues with connection. Toilet Look for the book on a stand for the amenities. Quite a good selection. Only gripe was the Small bath towels, even by Asian standards. The other difference was the Bath robes cum sleep wear. This was light cotton item which looks like bathrobes but can be used as pyjamas. The glass enclosed shower/bathtub was large. There’s a rain shower and hand shower. Toiletries are mounted onto the wall. There’s a hair dryer and weighing scales under the sink. Next to sink is a make up area with seating. There’s also a large open walk in closet, with all the hangers we would need. Bedroom slippers and the room safe can be found here. The staff also kindly gave us another suitcase rack to place our second suitcase. Staff Staff in the hotel were very polite and very willing to help. Their service was excellent. Conceirge helped us secure a last minute dinner venue and the bell hops/front door men also ordered cabs for us, and informed the cabbie where we were going. Gym The gym was adequate and actually quite spacious. More yoga mats and a supply of kettle bells would be great. There are some weight machines and a rack of dumb bells. Lots of calisthenics machines available. We enjoyed our stay here. It’s a bit further from most sights, but within 10min to Ginza and Toronomon Hills. The Hamamatsucho train station is about 3 blocks walk, but Takeshiba station nearby. When we were leaving for the airport at 7am, the hotel GM was working with the front doormen. He was friendly and helped us with our luggage. Definitely will be back!

- T9913DUmarkp (2/5): Be careful of them charging you for things you didn't buy - This was a terrible experience. Someone in the hotel booked food and drinks and food to my room from the bar. When I disputed this the duty manager was trying to argue that it was me. I ended up having to show them my receipt from were I had dinner outside the hotel and showing them call logs of a call I was at the time to prove it wasn't me. I was paying over $1000 per night for this hotel so did they really think I'de be trying to skip a $130 bar bill? Additionally the breakfast buffet was very limited and average. I normally stay in IHG hotels and thought I'd try Bon Voy for a change, which turned out to be a big mistake.

- 684ricki (10/5): A beautiful and MESMerizing stay - My first visit to Japan started with a bang staying at the Mesm. This hotel is a part of the Autograph Collection by Marriott, and they did a great job in making my stay special. They acknowledged my birthday and placed a little welcome amenity with a nice card. The rooms are to die for, with scenic views of Tokyo and with sexy and can-be-privatized bathrooms, this full size room is nothing compared to the usual rooms you might find in other hotels. The room service was great with the pappardelle and cesar salad my two faves. I went upstairs to the rooftop bar and decided to skip that as it was a little dead in regard to the ambiance, and went to the main lobby bar instead where the margarita sadly it was one of the worst I’ve ever had, but the selection of beers saved the moment. The service was as always Japanese-perfect and so cordial and attentive. If you want to stay in a great place in Tokyo away from all the bustle but still close to tourist attractions and a metro station, this is your place.

Our room was spotless every day. The location is convenient to walk to many areas and a subway station to reach more distant locations. Our room overlooked the park and the Sky Tree, so our view was gorgeous. The coffee was delicious, as was the steak in the fourth floor restaurant. I would definitely stay here again.

Day 1 Your location was great our first day to walk about the Imperial Palace, Gardens and Ponds and the Hama-Riku Gardens and Nakajima Tea House. Plus, we appreciated the convenient nearby market and restaurants. Your Whisk bar dinner allowed us to enjoy your evening lobby entertainment was MESMerizing. Day 2 was our big 12-hour day trip. Thank you so very much to the MESM Hotel Star Embassy Team who organized this amazing day. Our Chauffeur/Guide "Roberto" Masaaki Ichimura expertly and safely navigated us to Hakone Owakundani Station for views of Mount Fuji, the Sulfur Springs and of course to eat kuro-tamago (black eggs). From there, Roberto placed us on the Hakone Ropeway down to Togendai Station. Next, he met us at Togendai to move us onto the Pirate Ship across Lake Ashi. From there, he took us to explore Odawara Castle Tower, Samurai and Ninja Halls. Onto a beautiful drive along the coast line to Kamakara. Once there, he took us into the Kotoku-in (Great Buddha) and the Hasedera Temple. And, he found a nice lunch in Kamakura. He returned us into Tokyo with time to walk and observe the Shibuya Crossing, visit the Tokyo Tower, drive through the Ginza District and more! We are grateful to our Chauffeur/Guide and the MESM Hotel Star Embassy Team who made all the arrangements. Day 3 With the MESM Hotel Star Embassy team's explanation of the 2 nearby piers and schedules - we enjoyed the Tokyo Cruise from Hinode Pier to Asakusa. In Asakusa, we learned from the Ninja/Samurai Museum, were amazed with a Rickshaw Ride and visited the Senso-ji Temple. Caught the Tokyo Cruise back to Hinode Pier. And, we returned in time for a lobby dinner to enjoy the Lobby Entertainment. Day 4 With the rain, we Uber'd to Ryogoku instead of taking the the Waters Takeshiba water bus. In Ryogoku, we had the honor of attending Sumo Wrestler Training at the Nakamura-beya Sumo Stable. We arranged it through Nexspark (dot) jp. Thank you to your Star Embassy Megumi Sarutaor for selecting a perfect restaurant Asakusa Imahan for its location and avoidance of my food allergies. From there to the Asakusa Kaguwa Caberet. This one-hour show was amazing, but it actually began an hour ahead. We bought the Premier seat to include a comfortable sofa, photos before the show, visits with the performers, and cocktails. And, we returned in time for the late Lobby Entertainment. Thank you again for a fabulous trip to Tokyo!
- boonyaot (2/5): No Empathy towards Customers. Terrible Service. - Checked in with only TouchNGo and Apple Pay Platinum (I come from a fully digitized banking system). Stranded alone in a foreign country without cash. Needed just 10,000 yen for incidentals. I offered to cover every fee, even more if needed. Instead of helping, the receptionist ran back and forth while the manager refused to come out. Their first question: “Will you spend the money in our restaurants?” If yes, they would help. If not, too bad. That is not five star service. That is opportunism. I have been a Marriott Platinum member for 5 years aiming for 10. After having a baby I was demoted to Silver, which I accepted. But this experience makes it clear loyalty counts for nothing here. If you are not top tier, expect to be treated like you do not matter. Luxury is not marble floors or shiny chandeliers. It is how you treat guests in real situations. On that front, this hotel failed completely. I am not staying in this hotel ever again and I will not spend a single dollar more on this god forsaken property. I will probably stick to the Ritz, where there is at least some empathy for guests. Here, there was zero. Maybe I should really reconsider this Marriott rewards programme too.

The property is immaculate on decor and room feature. Tetsuya did a great job as an ambassador and provided prompt service recovery when dining experience went wrong. Housekeeping service was fantastic on the level of details such as re-organizing our toiletries and even folded our clothes. The location of the hotel is convinent by car but not a lot of things within walking distance.

- FuzzyBeesMom (8/5): Elegant facility, exceptional view, but inefficient service - The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and indeed mesmerizing. We stayed in a room with a balcony and a chair offering a breathtaking view of Tokyo Bay. The room featured an electronic piano and there was live music in the lobby, adding to the elegant and gorgeous ambiance. The hotel itself is great for personal enjoyment. However, we noticed significant inefficiencies when dealing with staff. The check-in process was very lengthy. The breakfast line was long, with only one person making omelets, although typically one person can cook three at a time. I couldn't self-serve hot green tea, while other fruit juices were available for self-service. It took 30 minutes to get my tea. When we were at the bar by the lobby, no one came to take our order, and we had to attract the attention of the staff ourselves. While the building, facilities, and rooms are very nice, it is hard to say if I enjoyed my stay because the slow service was very frustrating.

The room was clean and comfortable, including the bathroom, and the view was lovely. There were a few downsides. Since we didn’t leave a deposit, we had to go to the reception to pay every time we ordered food or laundry, even late at night. They didn’t offer to bring a card machine to the room, which would have made things easier. The iron and hairdryer were both very basic and could be improved. In-room dining was average. While there was an option for in-room massage, there wasn’t a dedicated space for spa services.

- Brandon (10/5): - This was our last stay on a two week vacation to Japan and we used it as a treat after all the biking, walking, hiking we did on the front end. It was true pampering. It was the most westernized stay we had in Japan, but it still definitely spoke to the Japanese culture. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with an amazing view of wate rin front of us and skyline beyond- including the Tokyo Skytree. The bathroom was quite large with a powerful shower and soaking tub. We only ate one meal at this hotel's restaurants as the menus didn't work well with our food allergies, but it was a delicious breakfast. Our room was exceptionally quiet but the same cannot be said for the main floor where you check in and walk through to get to hotel room elevators- they had live music each evening, but it was very loud- another reason we never had drinks at the bar (just our preference). Every single staff person went above and beyond to answer questions and help us with our requests. I would stay here again without hesitation.
- MattyJ72 (6/5): Nice hotel let down by service - Mixed feelings on this hotel - great location overlooking the stunning Hamarikyu Gardens. Views from the bar / restaurant and (our) room were mesmerising. Room was very good, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good. However, the service was disappointing, becoming a source of considerable frustration - front desk couldn't find a Wifi hotspot which had been left for us (nine hours to find it); allocated two rooms on separate floors (travellig with two children) and had specifically requested rooms together (and had stayed there earlier in the trip!). Equally, concierge repeatedly failed re. helping with restaurant bookings - said they would revert with ideas, then didn't; failed to respond to emails (saying 'we receive too many'). Most frustrating though, was their inability to make restaurant suggestions, or only to suggest places that were fully booked. Amazing that they don't seem to have a list of restaurants they can immediately suggest - our requests were very mainstream. Overall, it seemed that staff were inexperienced / inefficient / needed more training. Sadly, more style than substance. We raised the above with the manager and she was extremely apologetic, both in writing and in-person at check-out, which was great. Hopefully changes will be made.

Good: - room was very clean and spacious with big luggage storage area (for Tokyo standards) - bed's comfortable - Google Alexa available - shower was strong and fairly spacious, equipped with the most beautiful toiletries box set; bath tub's even got a timer - coffee set was tasteful - quite a few convenience stores within the proximity - within walking distance to the sky bridge which connects to Hamamatsuchō JR Station; about 10 min. walk and useful in poor weathers, but it's got nice views anyways and Blue Bottle coffee - otherwise, also connected to Monorail Hamamatsucho station - surrounded by beautiful Japanese Gardens (formal Imperial garden) and seascapes Can be better: - Location is a little far from Central Tokyo, but still very accessible Stayed at Chapter 1 King Bed this time and would love to try other rooms with garden view and balcony in future; would also be interested to try the Waterside boats.

After six nights staying in this hotel, we notice Mesm Tokyo highly focus on respectful to hotel guests. Quality and details are the two main ingredients of this hotel. We did try all three restaurants: The Theater, The Whisk and The Lounge. Food quality is their main focus and their presentation of foods and drinks are stunning that really blown our mind. We can't resist not taking pictures of their foods and drinks as their presentation are unique, beautiful and one of a kind. We enjoyed our New Year Eve five course dinner " The magic Flute", each course is a chapter from the magic flute story. Mesm Tokyo provided meal pairing drink option which we found their drinks pairing to the foods perfectly. We are honor be the guest of Mesm Tokyo, their respect to each hotel guest starting from main entrance "The Welcome Team", they welcome us from entrance and walk us and hold elevator for us. Once we were brought to level 16 main lobby floor, each staff welcome us with a friendly smile (everyday and every single time), that is what we do not normally see in other Tokyo hotels. Check-in staffs are efficient and friendly, servers from the main dining room "The Theater", "The Whisk" and " The Lounge" they are very friendly and respectful, they learnt and read what each hotel guest needs and they can accommodate the kind of service we need during each meal. Housekeeping team also done an amazing job. Each morning our room/suite has been cleaned and refreshed like the first day we just checked in to our room. We strongly recommend Mesm Tokyo Autograph Collection to visitors or even local residents. Staying in Mesm Tokyo fully refresh ourselves and our staying is very enjoyable. We would give Mesm Tokyo Autograph Collection a five stars plus rating We would definitely return to Mesm Tokyo Autograph Collection next time when we visit Tokyo.

Hotel relatively new (heard just 4 years old), so facility all still in good & prime condtion 👍🏼 There’s monorail nearby the hotel (5 mins walk) & plenty convenient store nearby. Location wise is not really at the central and more like CBD area I guess? Once reach the hotel, there someone who will greet and guide to concierge and they will inform to go to level 16 for check in. The city view from level 16 was awesome. After done check in at level 16, we will need to take another lift to our room. Room are great, there’s small piano inside & for Tokyo standard room size is considered very spacious. They provide bath tub also which is awesome to use especially after a very long tired day at Tokyo. Beds also very comfortable. Few downside : - Need to change 2 times of escalator/lift before we can reach our rooms - Hotel limit on water bottle (only 2 pcs per day), which is not sufficient for us. We ended up need to buy water bottle at convenient store nearby. Wish they can provide more water to the guests. - Concierge took quite sometime to deliver luggage the room after we checked in. I need to called the front desk to ask them expedite. All downside are minor and we can tolerate it. Have a very good, memorable & enjoyable stay in Mesm. Very recommended!

We had high floor rooms, stunning outlook over the river. Huge room, huge bathroom. Exceptional amenities and shower was bliss. Comfortable bed. Indulged in buffet breakfast one morning- nice selection but out of our price point. Had a degustation lunch on our last day- sublime food. Staff all very attentive. Checkout is 1200- generous. Well located to several restaurants and cafes. We took a river boat one night as the pier is right there- great experience

- CharlieDru (10/5): Luxury and Relaxation at Mesm! - I stayed here at the Mesm hotel for about a week, I was only supposed to stay for 3 days but my Australian visa took forever to be approved. This hotel the far exceeded my expectations. The views from the room are spectacular, the staff and service go above and beyond, the overall experience made me being stuck in Tokyo not an issue because of how amazing this hotel and stuff were. As a titanium member they upgraded my room to a higher for and I switched rooms which I had a balcony which is great but I also had a corner room with a spectacular view as well. The bath products and amenities kit are great, the pressure from the shower as well as the bathtub definitely worth it after a long day. In the morning, the breakfast that's included due to my status help start the day off right, the omelette station and the various soups made on the spot we're always delicious and tasty. Most of the staff knew English and help me anytime I had a question or needed something such as an item, room service, and things printed for my travels. When I come back to Tokyo I will definitely come and stay here again.

- 953thierryh (8/5): Size matters - By Tokyo standards, the rooms are gigantic and extremely well appointed with even your very own keyboard. Extremely well appointed, bed super comfortable, amazing bathroom and great views of the waterways. While the location is a little out of the path, it provides a secluded location not really far off the heart of Ginza. Everything is walking distance if you are a walker, neighbourhood restaurants aplenty and delicious. Hotel's lobby look and feel is stunning and human in size. Great stay.

The only reason I only give it 4 star is because they refuse to provide any upgrade to platinum members. I first tried to use my marriott upgrade voucher, and it was return back to me although the upgrade room is available. Then when I check in, I saw many rooms available, but they didn't offer any upgrade. so just keep that in mind when you book this hotel. Other than that, the hotel location is fine. 8-15 minutes walk to different subway station.
- LisaCGivens (10/5): Highly Recommend - Such a beautiful hotel. The staff are very attentive and most all spoke English. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is amazing with a great variety of Western foods and Japanese favorites. Full coffee and juice bar. Whisk has a wonderful drink and dinner menu. Short walk to the subway station. Taxis are readily available.
- nicholasmD4097DQ (10/5): Excellent rooms and lobby - I booked a Chapter 1 room as a Marriott gold member. No upgrade, as one expects from Marriott group unfortunately. The staff who helped me check in did so in less than perfect but acceptable English. The room itself was very clean, new, modern, and I overall really liked it. Nice shower and I liked the consistency in the story theme they kept. The view toward Hamarikyu Garden was really nice. The hotel lobby is really nice, sharp, and modern. There was always more than ample staff to assist if it was ever needed. Takeshiba station on the Yurikamome Line is the closest train station but Hamamatsucho is the closest main station on the JR Line which is a short walk. It’s not the most convenient but not at all too remote, I would stay again. I consider this hotel closer to a 5 star than a 4 star in Marriott’s Autograph Collection. As far as Marriott’s portfolio in Tokyo that I’ve stayed at, I regard this hotel as one of the better ones in town.
- danielzky (10/5): Great new(ish) hotel near Ginza - The hotel is quite new so the hardware is great and impeccable. It’s not in Ginza itself but close enough. Nearest train is the Takeshiba station of the Yurikamome line. From there, you can go to Shimabashi station (2 stops) and connect to other major lines. Check-in was efficient. Staff were polite and accommodating. They thoroughly explained the hotel amenities, mesm club, breakfast area and times. We were also accompanied to our room where a staff showed us all the hi-tech room amenities, including a digital piano and an iPad that controls the room. Topnotch room amenities. The lotion, body wash, and hand wash were very fragrant. The minibar is FREE and refilled every day. Plus points! Also, there’s an ice dispenser in the floor so it’s very helpful. You can make your own matcha tea. Breakfast is limited but high quality. I always have the snow crab omelette and whatever is their noodle of the day. I love the pastries, but they’re standard at any luxury hotels. The staff from the bellboys to the reception, housekeeping, restaurants were all warm and friendly. Overall, we had a great stay.

- briscoeh (10/5): Will go back again and again - We had a wonderful stay at Mesm! Loved the keyboard in every room, the in-room kettle for pourover coffee, the artistically packaged toiletries, and the half bath in addition to the full bath. The views are beautiful from the room balcony, the lounge, and restaurant. We enjoyed the hotel breakfast every day - freshly squeezed juices, fresh pastries and fruit, the Balmuda steam toaster, and Japanese breakfast specialties alongside Western items. The staff were very responsive. Haruna-san was very helpful with making dinner and taxi reservations for us. I am very indebted to Lana-san, who assisted me in identifying and providing me with hotel toiletries that were allergen-safe for me to use, since I had inadvertently left behind my own toiletries at our previous hotel. The hotel is not in the thick of things, but we loved being close to Ginza and being able to retreat to the quiet calm and beauty of the hotel and the area after all the hustle and bustle. It is near 2 subway stations, with Takeshita station being the closest, and Hamamatsucho station being a little further away. There is a shopping area nearby with eateries, and there are many more stores and restaurants near the Hamamatsucho station. I was shocked by the bad reviews. Most of the issues seem to be due to cultural misunderstandings and/or unreasonable expectations. They do not appear to be the fault of either the staff or management. We are looking forward to staying here each time we visit Tokyo.

It was located near many wonderful places that you could walk to or take a Uber. The hotel is very pricey but if you could stay for a day or two it would certainly be worth it.

- Matthew Joseph (10/5): - Amazing views, beautiful art installations, delicious, varied, high quality breakfast, excellent staff and service, spacious, comfortable and well designed rooms, convenient location which was good for transport links and also easy walking distance to Ginza area. It’s very difficult to find any faults. More clothes storage in the room would have been nice but I feel very fussy mentioning it when really this is just a fantastic place to stay.
