- mariaB76 (6/5): Fair rather than fab - I’ve stayed in a few hostels in Dublin but this was my first time to stay in this one. In terms of cleanliness the room and bathroom was spotless. The sleeping pod was roomy and comfortable. The storage space was ample and had a keypad so you don’t need your own lock. I stayed on the third floor so the noise from the bar wasn’t obvious. Two things bring this hostel down for me. Firstly the check in. The member of staff told me I needed my passport despite me only travelling from another part of Ireland. I queried this as nothing in the booking information had mentioned it but she was quite insistent that my ID card was not sufficient. I showed her the info I had been sent which clearly stated government issued ID and she relented but let’s just say I got the bare minimum of information after that. Second thing that lowered my score was the shower, it works on 15second intervals. You have to repeatedly press the button which is a pain when you have a head full of shampoo. In the end I used more water than normal and my shower took forever. Would I stay here again? Probably but there are better hostel options in the city that I’d choose first.
- W5150FPadamt (6/5): Brilliant start basic improvement and safety aspects need serious attention - I stayed at Jacobs Inn Dublin in 2026 for my first ever visit, and let me start with the most important thing: the rooms were spotless. Like, “mom would approve” clean. Fresh bedding, tidy bathrooms, no mystery smells — honestly top tier for a hostel. Cleanliness is my main priority when I travel, and they absolutely nailed it. Now let’s talk about reception — because WOW. The staff were fantastic day and night. Whether I needed directions, recommendations, or just reassurance that I hadn’t completely messed up my travel plans, they were friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. 10/10 humans. The social side? Elite. We had a chaotic but legendary game of Jenga that somehow turned into karaoke… which then turned into a full party night. I came for a bed, I left with a voice hoarse from singing and at least five new “best friends.” The vibe when it’s good? It’s GOOD. Now to keep it real. The bar area, unfortunately, wasn’t in the same sparkling condition as the rooms. It felt like it needed more regular cleaning and attention, especially after busy nights. The breakfast was also a bit disappointing — some of it tasted stale, like it had been waiting for a second chance at life. And then… the grand finale. On my last day, I managed to get a small electric shock from a faulty socket. Nothing dramatic, I’m still here to write this review, but definitely something that needs urgent fixing for safety reasons. Despite all that — and I know that sounds wild — I would actually return. The cleanliness of the rooms and the incredible reception staff made a huge difference. The atmosphere has so much potential, and if the bar maintenance, breakfast freshness, and that rogue socket get sorted, this place could easily be one of the best hostel stays in Dublin. Would I come back to see if the issues have been resolved? Honestly… yes. Because when this place shines, it really shines.

I would definitely stay again! super comfy beds and clean with usb charging portes even inside our pods and had a bathroom inside the room as well. had lockers with personalised codes for our stuff that could easily feel a 10kg hand laguge and a big bag pack (choose the 10 female dorms room). Super friendly staff and the bar area with its magical music jams at night was really great. Breakfast was also worth it. I felt completely safe and it was my first time staying in a hostel. it had paid lockers after your checkout to leave your stuff there if needed as well. I recommend it! It would be nice if possible, with ok of course an extra cost, to use the fridge if needed for a product or two of small size. I asked to put some sealed cheese on the fridge and they declined it ( I did it this summer in Paris in a hotel, they just marked my name on the product and i took it the next day and that's why I thought it would be possible) a small stool in the room would have been handy as it may be helpful to sit down to pack your stuff more easily.

- Jorge (9/5): Excellent place to stay and meet new people - The staff were very kind and always willing to help. The hostel is in a great location, close to many bus stations and stores. There are regular events at the bar, which makes it easy to meet other guests. Everything is clean, and breakfast is available every morning. I didn’t like that it wasn’t possible to rebook within the same month after staying for 10 days. Also, on some days when there are events, the music from the bar can be quite loud in the rooms, although it fortunately stops at 11 pm.

- Fichou (4/5): - Le petit déjeuner n'est pas incroyable, l'auberge fait aussi bar et organise des soirées mais attention, si vous voulez dormir je vous conseille de bon bouchons d'oreilles, on entend la musique très fort... La chambre n'était pas parfaitement propre, les lockers fonctionnaient mal et payer aussi cher pour une telle auberge de jeunesse ne vaut pas le coup.

Even if the heating was eventually turned on at night, it was not for the whole night and it was still cold, I was sleeping in three layers. No possibility to stay in the room during the day at all. The worst hostel experience EVER and the reviews had been so good. So misleading!

Εξυπηρέτηση πάρα πολύ καλή πάρα πολύ ασφαλείς σούπερ μάρκετ πιτσαρίες και άλλα επίσης είναι δίπλα το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα για νεαρά άτομα ζεστό νερό για μπάνιο με αφρόλουτρο και σαμπουάν στην ντουζιέρα το μπαρ στο ισόγειο είναι πολύ ωραίο.....!!!! Είναι δύσκολο το να βγεις από το κρεβάτι όταν είσαι κάποιας ηλικίας και το 1 μπάνιο για 10 άτομα κάποιες φορές είναι κάπως δύσκολο.

Al check-in ho ricevuto indicazioni poco precise e mi è stato persino consigliato di andare a cenare in una zona poco raccomandabile. Inoltre, non mi è stato spiegato che per rientrare la sera fosse necessario utilizzare un codice di accesso. Di conseguenza, una sera rientrando tardi ho dovuto bussare più volte; il ragazzo che mi ha accolta, invece di verificare la mia prenotazione, ha insistito nel voler vedere la card cartacea con i codici della stanza, creando una situazione inutile e spiacevole. La receptionist italiana bionda si è dimostrata approssimativa e per nulla preparata: non sapeva nemmeno se, per una camera singola regolarmente prenotata, fossero previste pulizia giornaliera e cambio biancheria. A seguito di un errore commesso da un’altra collega, invece di scusarsi mi è stato risposto testualmente: “sei ancora in tempo a trovare una soluzione per i fatti tuoi”. La posizione della struttura non è sicura: a pochissimi passi dall’ingresso sono stata molestata prima da un ragazzo visibilmente sotto l’effetto di droghe e successivamente da due persone in evidente stato di ebbrezza. Colazione provata una sola volta: c’è un po’ di tutto, ma nulla che giustifichi il prezzo di 13 €. Impossibile pagare in contanti: a quanto riferito, la proprietà non accetta banconote da 100 €. All’arrivo la stanza era fredda perché le finestre erano state lasciate aperte. Letti scomodi e prese elettriche insufficienti (inesistenti in bagno); ho dovuto richiedere due adattatori, nessun armadio! Infine, episodio molto grave: trattengono i documenti d'identità, il passaporto ( l'unico documento che avevo) è stato trattenuto fino al check-out come garanzia per gli adattatori elettrici. Ho dovuto chiedere esplicitamente il permesso per riaverlo per pochi minuti, esclusivamente per poter effettuare il check-in del mio volo. Esperienza complessivamente negativa, non all’altezza delle aspettative né del prezzo pagato.

- Moran (8/5): - Stayed 12 bed dorm with pods. Comfortable bed. 2 light options. Charging point.. Privacy curtains, shelf, towel rail, and clothes bracket... Security locker and spacious showers room in dorm... Nice ambiance spacious reception area.. Chilled our bar... Touch key pad to access all area.. Buffet breakfast overpriced, especially hot food which was limited to 3 products with fried eggs and sausages overcooked...

- Tara (7/5): Mooi hostel, niet heel sociaal in mijn ervaring - Mooi, schoon hostel, lekkere bedden. Prachtige algemene ruimte met bar. Het hostel was minder sociaal dan ik had verwacht. Jammer dat er stond dat er activiteiten zouden worden georganiseerd maar dat niet echt gebeurde, of mensen die al in de algemene ruimte zaten daar niet echt voor werden verzameld. Ook was er op zaterdag onverwacht een prive-event bij de bar waardoor de helft van de algemene ruimte en de bar was afgesloten.

- Frax96 (10/5): Weekend in Dublin - The atmosphere, people and the room. The hostel is plenty of young people, close to the city centre and police station. The building is modern. The code of my room did not work so well
- Nadja (10/5): Great place for a short stay in a nice location! - It was my first time staying in a hostel where each person has their own pod. You can choose to stay in a female only pod - and it was the best decision! The pod has everything you need: lighting, power outlets, and a curtain. The girls I met there were really nice and friendly, and everyone was respectful. The bathroom was tidy. I took a hairdryer free of charge at the reception. They have different activities going on in the evenings at the bar downstairs, really nice! The night I had stayed there was a band playing live. All in all I would recommend this place for a short stay. I found it inconvenient to dry my hair with a hairdryer in the evening because all the girls were sleeping by 10pm, and it was the time I only returned to the room. There were no plugs in the bathroom, only in the bedroom where the pods were (which is an Irish safety regulation). I ended up sleeping with wet hair. So I guess there are things like that you need to consider when sharing a room with others. Has nothing to do with the property per se.
