Um in die Dusche zu gelangen, musste man die Tür der Toilette offen lassen, weil man nur auf diesem Weg zur Dusche kam und der Platz zu wenig war.

• Tomislav (6/5): Acceptable accomodation for tourist purposes if you do not have light sleep (because of noise). - Location is good for touristic purposes. Breakfast without scrambled eggs, really? There was a smell coming out of sink/toilette/bathroom whenever I opened water so I had to open window afterwards every time. Technician came but he was of no help. Room 408 is kinda noisy from the street and from inside. However rooms on the other side (without balcony) are at constant screeching noise from the train/railway.

• allen (10/5): Fun vibe and warm welcoming staff highlight this excellent boutique hotel - Ruby Lucy is a delightful boutique hotel, Located on a vibrant pedestrian-priority street lined with restaurants, bars and shops, the hotel offers a fun and upbeat vibe in an ultra modern setting. Despite the quiet street feel, the Ruby is also but a few minutes walk of Waterloo Station. People actually live in this area and the feel of the neighborhood is warm. Nearby is a small neighborhood park across from the Old Vic where people lounged sunning on the grass. We arrived early for check-in to drop our bags and were welcomed by Marcelo with a big smile. Actually the friendly staff is a big part of what makes this place special. In only a three day stay we felt like we knew everyone. They treated us as if we were their favorite house guests. Kudos to Melody, Emily, Su (creator of wonderful cocktails), Aki, Marcelo and Gustavo. A fun surprise was the guitar amp and speaker that invited us to plug in and enjoy either our own music or to tune in to Ruby Radio (yes they have their own playlist on Spotify). There are even two guitars available for use by guests should they be so inclined. Our room was a tad tight. An oversized and wonderfully plush bed was the standout but space to put things and get around in the room was extremely limited. The limited size of the room was offset by a nice balcony overlooking the vibrant street scene.

• Michael (9/5): Lovely friendly staff in a lovely boutique style hotel, hopefully IHG keeps it as it is as that’s the appeal of the plac - It’s our go to place when we visit London. The rooms are clean and ideal for our needs, the cosy bar and seating area is spot on for a couple of quiet night caps before retiring to bed for the night. The fact I always book a year in advance and when I tried to book for next year it is currently not available to do so.

• Caroline (10/5): My new favourite central London hotel - Welcoming staff, very clean, quiet at night, comfy beds, 24/7 bar and close to the station. Easy self check in. Free drink at the bar. Very good value for money. If there was one thing missing it was a bottle of water in the room but the bar was open so I could get one. Really good hotel, I would highly recommend. Sloping tables at breakfast made it tricky to balance my plate - I’m couldn’t think of anything else

The room darkening curtains didn’t fully reach the wall so the AM light came in. It’s across the street from a bar that was hopping at night which required me to wear ear plugs. Without them I would have been bothered as I’m an extremely light sleeper. Although it didn’t phase my daughter.

• Jamie (5/5): Nice staff, but I won't be staying there again. - The staff in general were good. They just seamed to be hampered by management not being there. I liked the free access teas and coffees on the landing. To say that there is a restaurant on site is pushing the reality a bit. They have a very small fixed menu, which I suspect was based on frozen ready meals. They were missing ingredients for various cocktails, basic stuff. The breakfast was really not to my liking, if you like a small selection alternative types of breakfast, this is for you, wasn't for me. Not being able to get an invoice printed on site, even after I paid, was a stress. All business trips and expenses in my company have to be supported by correct invoicing, but being emailed one at 12 o'clock the following day after check-out was not appreciated, as at that time I was already in a different country. In my opinion, this isn't a 4 star property, but a very good 3 star. Feels like it's trying to be a Citizen M, but noth really there.

• Simon (10/5): Brilliant boutique hotel, excellent value for money - Location was great just around the corner from Waterloo station. Staff were all amazing and very welcoming. Room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The attention to detail was way beyond expectations. Very cosy. Could not get the Bluetooth to work on the speaker in the room, some instructions would have been good. Hey, but let's face it as problems go, it is negligible. I used my phone instead. It did not deter from a brilliant stay.

• Katharina (9/5): Super Lage, jederzeit wieder - Das interkontinentale Frühstück war top! Guter Kaffee, die Auswahl war vielfältig und sehr freundliches Personal. Die Lage vom Hotel ist ausgezeichnet, ruhig und doch zentral. Man erreicht die Sehenswürdigkeiten gut zu Fuß. Die Straße bietet ein vielfältiges kulinarisches Angebot. Das Hotel Personal war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Die Kaffeestationen auf den Etagen ist gut ausgestattet und man kann sich jederzeit etwas nehmen. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Leider kann man die Fenster zum lüften nicht öffnen. Die integrierte Toilette und Dusche aus Glas ist nicht jedermanns Sache, da Privatsphäre fehlt. In unserem Zimmer wäre noch Platz für eine kleine Sitzecke gewesen, so hatte man nur das Bett als Sitzmöglichkeit. Stauraum gibt es wenig, man lebt aus dem Koffer.
• GILLIAN (10/5): - The staff were exceptional. So welcoming and and nothing was a problem. The overall 'feel' in the hotel was really lovely. The rooms were perfect - big, comfortable bed, a Marshall Stanmore BT for connecting to Spotify, soundproof rooms, amazing shower. The toilet area being housed in a glass cubicle - fine if solo traveller but not ideal if sharing the room.

• Denise (10/5): I would definitely stay here again. - Despite the fact that Booking caused me several inconveniences and I arrived at the hotel with my reservation not properly registered and without the payment having been transferred — even though I had already paid — the hotel staff handled the situation wonderfully. Melanie at the reception was absolutely incredible, and the entire team was extremely attentive, kind, and professional. They made a stressful situation much easier and treated me with great care. The hotel is very well located, clean, and cozy. Although there is no microwave available, this was not really an issue during my stay. Overall, the hotel fully met my expectations. The real highlight is definitely the reception team, who were truly outstanding. Everything fine.
