We were quite surprised by the level of the rooms and the bathroom, which do not look like the photos in any way. the wood is old there is rust around the lanterns, carpets are worn out. The only good thing is breakfast. we are upgraded because we decided to leave in the middle of our stay. The rooms are capacious, but would close this down till it is renovated. staff is very helpful

- Alexander (10/5): - After browsing over a myriad of hotels in Dubai and choosing Villa Rotana solely on the reviews, I'm glad that I did. Exceptional place through and through, everyone in the hotel will go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcomed and treat you as family. All the facilities at the hotel are top notch, clean and well taken care of. Breakfast is amazing. Parking garage is secure and has plenty of room. There is also a supermarket a block away in case there is anything you need. Location is fantastic, close enough to move around fairly easy and, at the same time, far away from all the hustle and bustle. We rented a car which I highly recommend if you go to Dubai, although traffic is completely crazy, but if that is not your thing, the metro station is about a block away, same as the bus stop. There was a little faux pas on Expedia's end where they only let the hotel know of my booking the same day in the morning, even though I had booked my trip for about 2 weeks, but no big deal, the guys at the front desk quickly sorted everything out and we didn't waste a minute. Big shout out to all the staff at the hotel and especially to Usman who promptly kept our room ready and clean every morning with a big smile! I will be returning to Dubai and it's safe to say that Villa Rotana will be my only option.

However, I suggest upgrading the mattresses for added comfort, widening the narrow parking area, and modernizing the entrance and lock systems for both the hotel and parking to provide a more seamless experience.

- Shakera (10/5): Great stay!!! Value for money. - Had a lovely stay. Hotel is clean with lots of natural light. We arrived earlier then the 2pm check-in and they did their best to accommodate n check us in earlier. Especially as we had a baby. Our stay included breakfast. My daughter has allergies and they catered for her needs. They were honest and informative of which foods contained dairy. Plus provided alternatives milks. Breakfast was a lovely stress free experience. A nice selection of food and in a beautiful setting. The pictures advertised on hotel.com was not the same as the room assigned. The receptionist made it clear that the room pictures showing a separate seating area is another type of room. Which I can upgrade to. I chose not to upgrade. The room assigned was just as nice. Practical for our needs. Clean n comfortable. Bed is very comfortable. The pool is small but the area n fitness suite are clean and well maintained. Location was great. Metro few minutes away. Can get bus no.9 to beach ( le mer). Dubai mall is walkable if weather permits. There is a supermarket about 5 mins walk. ice Cream parlour and dunkin doughnut few shops down. Would recommend this hotel.

- Mahsum (8/5): Excellent stay - When we arrived at the hotel (09:00) we asked Anne, the receptionist, if there were any rooms available to check in that early (check in 14:00), our rooms were not available however Anne was very kind enough to give us alternative rooms to rest in until our rooms was available (she kept in mind that we had a baby with us). When they cleaned our room everyday day, the cleaner always washed our baby bottles etc. Also which was very kind of them. The staff there were second to none. Rooms were always clean even if we left the rooms late they will still clean it during the day.

Extra bed was not in the room as requested and paid for. Not even a sorry from the front desk. Lighting is the worst in the room very dark. Heair dryer was dirty and shattaf knob was on the floor. Do i need to say more? I am very confised with the reviews

- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely Central Boutique Hotel - We really liked this hotel. I don’t like staying in large high rise hotels so was excited to find this smaller, more intimate boutique property. We stayed for 7 nights and upgraded to a corner suite which was spacious and bright with kitchenette and washing machine. It faced the main road but was quiet and had a view of the Burj Khalifa. Service was professional and attentive and staff would go out of their way to assist. Breakfast was substantial with lots of variety. The location worked well for us. It was central and a 5 minute walk to the metro which we used a lot. A grocery store is right next door. We also walked to the new City Walk in about 20 minutes. A couple of issues. Our relaxing pool time on the lovely rooftop was interrupted by construction noise across the street. This is an issue throughout Dubai as construction cranes are everywhere and cannot be escaped. Also, like every hotel everywhere, we could hear people walking above us and hear voices, TVs and children crying in the room next door. It didn’t go on late so with one exception we slept well. Lastly, I had asked for a higher floor specifically so we would not have anyone above us but were informed that the top 2 floors allow smoking in the rooms. The 2 lower floors are non smoking. It was disappointing that non smokers don’t have access to the best floor giving smokers the preferential rooms. This should be reconsidered. Overall we were very happy with the hotel and would happily stay here again.
- John (8/5): Short 48 hour stop in Dubai - The hotel staff are very welcoming and are always there to help. The hotel is comfortable and as it is not a big hotel there is a lot of personalised service. Dubai is not cheap for accommodation but this hotel was reasonable considering.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Me and my partner had such a great stay at Villa Rotana. We stayed more than 20 days and the staff made us feel like home. Our room was a one bedroom apartment with kitchen and 1 and a half bathrooms with all the amenities we could possibly need. There is a lovely rooftop pool, gym and spa and the hotel is well mantained and in very good position, just meters from the metro station and well connected with downtown and city walk. Definitely recommended!

- Peter (10/5): Perfect overnight stay - A last minute booking for a 2am arrival. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Upon arrival at 2am they were most welcoming and helpful. Was given free upgrade during the quick and hassle free check in, bags taken from taxi to room without me needing to touch them. Room was very clean, spacious and quiet. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was perfect with plenty of fresh food to select from - hot, cold, and cereals. Checkout was just as easy, with staff doing everything including loading the taxi they organised. Highly recommend!

- Helen (10/5): Perfect location for La Perle and sightseeing. - Perfect location for La Perle and an ideal base for sightseeing with a metro station only a 2 minute walk away. Small supermarket behind hotel, coffee shop and ice cream parlour next door and about a 20 minute walk down to Box Park. Good room service menu with reasonable prices, lovely breakfast, rooftop pool, gym and wonderful staff. Spotlessly clean. My only niggle would be only getting 1 dressing gown and 1 pair of slipper when you have clearly booked a room for two people!

- Val (10/5): Friendly hotel well placed for Down town Dubai - We arrived at 1.30 in the morning and received a friendly efficient welcome. Our room was comfortable and clean and had a great view of the Burj Khalifa tower. There are all the facilities that you need and complimentary water each day. Breakfast had a wide choice and was excellent as was the evening meal. All the staff were helpful and attentive. We enjoyed the roof top swimming pool. It is a short ride by taxi to the Dubai Mall and they are very frequent. We would certainly choose this hotel again and would highly recommend it.

- David (10/5): Excellent service - Great value for money. Cannot fault it except the WiFi’s connectivity strength wasn’t consistent. Sometimes it was good and sometimes poor. I think it depends on the room you’re in as my friends family in another room had a better connectivity strength. Tried breakfast once but wasn’t overly impressed, better of going out to eat rather than paying everyday for breakfas at the hotel. It’s location is superb, bang in the middle of everything and very close to both bigger malls. I’d recommend this hotel if you’ll be going out and about. Service from the staff was of a high standard all the way through.

- Richard (8/5): Great hotel, ideally located for burj khalifa - Great apartment rooms, small view of burj khalifa unfortunately mostly behind a giant billboard but still nice, Rooms are fairly spacious and you have everything in the room you need, iron, fridge freezer, kettle, free tea and coffee and a couple of bottles of water. Other snacks and drinks are for purchase in fridge but they don’t stop you using it for your personal groceries, not on a tilt sensor to auto bill you. Beds were comfy enough, pool is a nice small rooftop pool, again nice view of the burj khalifa and surrounding buildings. Pool was heated to 30 deg in January which is welcome as water temps even in Dubai can be cold especially for babies which we had so my little one loved this pool as she could stay in as long as she wanted without getting cold. The only gripe I have is the WiFi is pretty terrible, it does work, intermittently though and the speeds for 2018 are shocking, even the premium speed they want you to pay for is only advertised at a few mbps! Might not be a big deal for some but due to Dubai’s silly pricing for roaming, making calls, data and texts WiFi is essential for me in most places for directions and keeping up to date back home. One last thing the burj khalifa and Dubai mall is 25 min walk away, so if this is where you want to visit this hotel is perfect. Last thing, surrounding area is ok, there is a supermarket in a small shopping mall, also has a Turkish restaurant and a Thai, as with most places in Dubai it’s not finished!

Kitchen was a plus for preparing snacks etc. Sami at the desk and Zaman from roof top pool were very friendly and provided some great suggestions and assistance. Other staff facilitated a car for us to go to Abu Dhabi. All the staff we encountered were fantastic. Proximity to the Burj Khalifa allowed for a 40 minute walk which was comfortable for us.

- Zongmin (8/5): Nice hotel close to metro station - The location of this hotel is a plus. Heading out of the hotel, you can walk to a metro station (red line, Business Bay) on right side and walk to a local supermarket on left side. Parking is free and convenient - underground parking lot has elevator access to your room directly. Hotel staff is very friendly, helpful, and polite. Room is spacious, especially in the classic suite, you can even find a washing machine in a closet. We like our stay in this hotel overall. The only downside is the bed. It claimed to be a classic suite with two twin beds on Orbitz website. But it turned out that all their classic suites only have a king bed. Orbitz should clarify this information and update the room type description more accurately. The king bed itself is a little too soft so it is not very comfortable sleeping in the bed.

On the down side the 'free' wifi was pretty much useless and I object to paying 90dhs a day for 'premium' wifi that isn't much faster functional. Food was edible but nothing to write home about.

- Sophia (10/5): Comfort, location & efficient staff - This was my second time to stay in Villa Rotana. The room amenities were perfect and it was like being in the comfort of your home. The hotel is close to The Dubai Mall and other attractions. The reception staff (Abdul & Wegene) were indeed helpful and efficient. Housekeeping always kept our room perfectly clean.
