• may (1/5): - The initial room assigned presented several maintenance issues, including residual water and mold in the shower area. Furthermore, the decor and fixtures appeared to be significantly aged and in need of modernization. Upon relocating to the second room, we observed that the television was dislodged from its mounting and tilted. The seating along the wall exhibited numerous stains, and the cupboard housing the kettle was obstructed, preventing its removal.

• ALEXEY (9/5): High comfort, convenient connection to airport - Almost everything, but especially its location near the airport and MTR station, great breakfast and comfortable rooms. Check in and check out are always fast and easy, room service 24/7, nice views from most of the rooms. I have stayed many times during last ~14 years and the property shows some signs of wear and tear, renovation will be required soon.

We had a 1am flight and Novotel Citygate is very close to the airport and they offer a free shuttle service that goes every 20 minutes. It has easy access to the Citygate Outlet centre and not too far to walk to the Ngong Ping 360 cable car ride to see the giant Buddha and Po Lin Monastery.
• Anonymous (9/5): Expensive, convenient and high-quality stay near HKG - The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, featuring a great view and very effective air conditioning. Convenience of indoor access via Citygate to the Tung Chung MTR, the reliable elevators, and the seamless free shuttle service to the airport were also great. The only downside was the high price point of the stay - for a regular good business hotel as opposed to all-inclusive resort, this didn't quite generate value to justify the astronomical nightly cost of the stay.

It is also located right next to a shopping mall, so we had restaurants, shops, and everything we needed just a few steps away. At the same time, it was very convenient to explore the main attractions of Hong Kong. Overall, a very comfortable and practical choice for our trip.

• SARAH (7/5): A few disappointments but generally good - Conveniently near the airport. Good rooms. Nice shower but not a fan of shower curtains. Good breakfast buffet and pleasant staff. Shout out to manager Daniel who helped sort out some problems we had when there was a power cut. The pool was closed for annual maintenance and unfortunately I had chosen this hotel for the pool! In transit on long haul I love to swim . There was no mention of it being closed when I booked a few days before. No porters to help with luggage when we checked in at 06.30. No 24hr stay option.
• Jan, Cape Town, SA (7/5): - I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of my room 1133, and the hotel in general. I think the hotel was value for money. It is walking distance from Tung Chung MTR and right next to a huge shopping centre. Disneyland is a short train ride away. The breakfast in the morning was not outstanding, but okay. Housekeeping was good. I shall stay at this hotel again when I need to be near HKIA. Nothing.

The elevator was not working for 15 mins in the morning and the stairs were not available as a backup solution. They can improve there. The check in was a little bit slow. • C. Berges (6/5): Für Stoppovergäste in Ordnung, aber nicht ideal. - Sauber, gute Betten, relativ nah am Airport. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Ist Teil eines riesigen Einkaufzentrums. Interessant, aber muss man mögen. In der Umgebung (ausser shoppen) nicht viel los, ausser der Seilbahn. Anbindung i.d. City gut, aber nicht um die Ecke. Poolzeiten für viele Transitgäste ungeeignet (schließt recht früh). Frühstück und Shuttleservice starten für frühe Flüge zu spät. Am Ende doch viel Geld für wenig nutzbare Leistung, wenn man mittags ankommt und am nächsten Morgen weiterfliegt. Schade....

• Rita (8/5): - Mostly everything, particularly the location and free shuttle bus to the airport. We enjoyed breakfast but the options should be wider and the restaurant cleaner. Probably next time we will take breakfast separately at the Citygate Mall, a good option.

• Royden (7/5): - Had some issues with the room. Bad fresh wet marks on the carpet, hand basin was not draining properly and power points were not working. However when we mentioned this to house keeping staff they sorted these out promptly. VERY disappointed that the pool was closed until further notice. This was not mentioned when booking.

• Guide60190059472 (8/5): Reasonably priced hotel conveniently located near HKG airport - The Novotel CityGate is conveniently located in the CityGate outlet mall in Tung Chung. There's an MTR station and lots of shops, cinema, and restaurants - McDonald's, Bakehouse, Pret a Manger, Paradise Dynasty and much more. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a free airport shuttle and the staff was eager to assist with loading the luggage onto and off the shuttle. The rooms are small but clean. Considering how close the hotel is to the motorway, the rooms are quite quiet. They provide toiletries and boxed water, though no coffee/tea maker. Air filter machine in the room as well. Overall, a nice, reasonably priced hotel near the airport and Ngong Ping 360 (I could even see Ngong Ping 360 from my room).

• LLK (10/5): Ein sehr bequemer Aufenthalt - Das Fitnessstudio ist super. Es gibt eine Langhantel, eine Seilzugmaschniene und eine Klimmzugstange. Mehr ist nicht nötig..., aber oft fehlt genau das in Hotels. Hier jedoch nicht. Der Pool ist super, jedoch vom 01.11. - 31.03. geschlossen. Tatsächlich war das Poolwasser am 31.10. bei meinem letzten Aufenthalt echt schon kühl. Im Sommer ist der Pool oft wegen schlechtem Wetter geschlossen. Beim Frühstück fehlen ungesüßte Haferflocken.
• PerryB137 (8/5): Convenient and homely! - I enjoyed my room with a view on a top floor plus access to the Club. The staff were friendly and everything was very convenient, particularly vis-a-vis access to the Airport and Tung Chung Station. I appreciated having water in a carton as well. Dispensing with plastic indeed makes a difference.
