L'offre du petit déjeuner était très variée. Il y a beaucoup d'espace dans l'hôtel, un havre de paix après les visites bondées de touristes.

Paul (10/5): The guest book summed it up - another fabulous stay in our favourite Florence hotel! Thank you all - A total oasis of calm and tranquility in a very busy city! It is close enough for a short walk to the Duomo, but far enough to not be manic and crowded. A beautiful and amazing building. And the staff - fabulous. The WiFi on the top floor on this trip dropped occasionally but if that’s our biggest concern, ignore it.

ISLACA (10/5): Fabulous experience at a classy hotel in a great location in Florence - Fabulous location very close to the Duomo, Piazza Della Signoria and more. Very warm welcome, great attentiveness to service and excellent breakfast. Shout out to Filippo who manned the front desk most of the our visit - he took special care and helped us with multiple things. And secondly to Daniel who attended to us at breakfast for 3 days. Excellent deluxe room, great bedding and incredibly convenient. Not one thing short.

Melissa (10/5): Beautiful hotel with professional friendly staff - What a wonderful hotel! Upon arrival the bell staff greeted us and assisted with luggage. The woman that checked us in was extremely friendly and professional. Our room was lovely. Spacious and comfortable. Breakfast each morning was very good. We loved the location because so much was within a ten minute walk but not in the thick of the hoards of people. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and stay again. Nothing bad to say
Christopher (5/5): Nice building - service totally lacking and disappointing overall for the price - Attractive historic building in a good location Hotel is on the upper floors of the building and feels disconnected from the rest of it - doorman and restaurant staff pretty rude when we arrived and then in the evenings when we came back. Expensive suite had two single beds pushed together and not a double bed - when this was pointed out (twice) the best they came up with was an extra mattress topper which still didn’t prevent the beds slipping apart in the night. Staff were very sparse and the place felt empty with a slightly odd atmosphere.

The staff provided exceptional service and had great knowledge of the area. Our room was spotless and incredibly comfortable. The hotel's location was ideal for sightseeing and dining. HelenS336 (4/5): Form over function - Beautiful decor but poor functionality. I was unable to set the AC below 18 degrees Celsius. The staff told me this was a law - that was wrong. The temperature in my room never went below 19 and, therefore, I was not able to sleep well. The shower was impossible- complicated and I could never get it to work properly. My own pet peeve is when they put the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the same containers and labeled in type so small, it is impossible to read without glasses. The sink drained slowly. We were a group who started early on some days but the hotel refused to open the breakfast area ( or provide room service) before 7.30 am. Not accessible - steps into the lobby and no ramp. I was glad to leave.

The doorman told her she could not sit and listen to the piano player because he was paid by the restaurant. So my wife was told she could not listen to the piano player in the lobby of the hotel we were paying thousands of dollars as guests. Remarkably rude. We will not be back.

No balcony to enjoy the views but at no fault of the hotel. We had a window we could see some of the city and the Duomo. We had dinner at the restaurant and for the price we weren’t too impressed with the food. We had better food in many of the city’s restaurants. The breakfast was good.

Nadine (10/5): The most precious gem in all of Europe! - My family and I loved everything about our experience at Baglioni Hotel Santa Croce. From the prompt and professional email responses to my various questions and requests prior to arrival to the staff during our entire stay, everything was beyond incredible. The hotel is gorgeous, with its rich history, amazing location, large and spacious air conditioned rooms and the amazing perfume scent permeating the entire property! We travel ALOT and this was by far the best hotel we’ve stayed at in all of Europe. What a hidden gem! Highly recommend! It was perfect in every way! The only thing I didn’t like is having to leave this gem!

pekk (6/5): Pleasant Staff, but expected more from rooms - High-end hotel with wonderful staff - very friendly and accommodating. However, rooms had no comfortable seating areas - basically a bench in front of bed and stiff chair. The bathroom was spacious, however, the shower was smaller than normal - effectively an uncomfortable, small shower, not well lit and very dated. For the money that was paid, expected more from the room. If staying in Florence again, would seek another hotel (other than pleasant service, no reason to choose hotel) and perhaps closer to the Uffizi Galleries area.

CigarsCubata (6/5): Disappointed… - The fabulous city of Florence⚜️that open-air museum, was the place chosen to celebrate our 20th Anniversary of L🫶VE and happiness. We chose the beautiful Baglioni Santa Croce hotel because we knew the magnificent Baglioni Luna🌝in Venice. The welcome and kindness of the staff was always very professional and very kind; I want to highlight the friendliness Peruvian Housekeeping lady and the Signora colleagues. Also,Daniele, Giovanni, Elena in the restaurant and to Mohamed and the kind team at the desk. Unfortunately, during the week we were there, we found a serious problem in the bathroom with a dangerous leak in the shower and sink. I cannot understand that in a 5 star luxury hotel there are such problems that not only conspire against the happiness of being in the hotel but also with the danger of an accident for the client. On many occasions I complained at the reception and despite the apologies the problem was never resolved even though on 2 occasions I slipped due to the amount of water that flooded around the shower space. Every day I had to put towels to absorb the water that appeared. We thought about changing rooms but since the management who should normally be in the know did not propose anything to us we thought that the hotel was full. At the end of our week at the hotel, the professional Mrs. Dorina, as a gesture of goodwill, eliminated our taxes and 3 bottles of water. It is unfortunate that the manager never came to at least apologize. Ps. I advise future clients to avoid room 204 and the surrounding areas due to the noise caused by the doors in the hallway when passing by the kind house keeping ladies. And, book in advance directly an extraordinary dinner at the fabulous Picchiorri restaurant with Mr. Tomberli. This one does not belong to the hotel even though it is in the same space at the entrance. I wish you enjoy the Faboulous City of Florence ✨

Imhandlinit (6/5): There are better options for the money in Florence - We spent months planning our Tuscany + Rome trip to Italy and researched at least a dozen hotels in Florence before selecting. We chose the Relais Santa Croce for our two night stay over Easter weekend 2024. We arrived ahead of the standard checkin time and were pleased that our room was unexpectedly ready for us. The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating. On initial impression, our room (211) seemed fantastic. It was spacious and well appointed. We were shown the thermostat controls (which are a bit dated) and told that "auto" was best; however, it was not at all made clear that air conditioning is only available in certain months due to government regulations (be sure to check before your stay). That evening, we noticed that despite setting the temperature to 18C (~68F), the display continued to read 25C (~82F). We never felt any air circulating at all... no fan, no A/C. Given that temps outside were a good 20-30 degrees cooler, we were shocked that the room remained so hot. Desperate to cool off, we opened the large windows not realizing that in addition to the cool air, we were also inviting in both an extraordinary amount of street noise and mosquitos. Until well after 2am, we were serenaded by car horns, emergency vehicles, motorbikes and loud voices from the busy street below. Given temps were in the 40s/50sF at night we hadn't expected a mosquito problem would prevent us from enjoying the fresh air. Our sleep, which had been thwarted by heat, was now also disrupted by buzzing and biting. In addition to challenges with regulating the room temperature, we also had problems with the toilet gurgling and not reliably flushing. The next morning, we complained. From a 5-star hotel, one expects better. In fact, we spent a single night in Florence the week before and had equally impressive accommodations, and the same problems with noise and mosquitos, for half the price. Had we known we were in for more of the same, we would not have opted for this higher priced option. In response to our complaint, the hotel did agree to move us to another room for our second night - this room was on a higher floor and overlooked a courtyard instead of the street; however, it was smaller and we still couldn't open the window due to the bugs. We requested a free-standing fan, which was provided along with a plug-in bug repellent. These items could have been furnished in our original room allowing us to enjoy the spaciousness of that room and not having the inconvenience of moving rooms during such a brief stay, but this was not suggested. For the inconvenience of a lost night of sleep and a room change, the hotel refused to make any accommodation on the room rate, though they did remove some minor incidental fees. On the up side, the included breakfast (buffet style) was very good; the location was convenient and the service was exceptional across the board (doormen, servers, reception) - there were even nice touches like champagne in the room. If staying in an 18th century noble mansion with iconic fresco ceilings and lavishly furnished interiors is what matters most, this might be the place for you. However, if a quiet comfortable stay is your goal, there are better options in Florence.

james (10/5): - Very nice hotel in quiet (relatively) San Croce. Very walkable to everything. Clean rooms w views. Great breakfast and service. Only issue was check in - deceptive advertising of kids free but staff disputed vehemently. Although this is likely a US vs italy custom- this should be made clearer (Eg strict registration policy for kids despite free stay w existing bedding noted on web site and other internet sources ) to avoid the significant stress we experienced at check in - in addition to lecture from staff. We did not feel welcomed initially - but - to the credit of the management- they did find a way to accommodate- and this is the bottom line and reason for 5 star recommendation overall. I travel extensively (w st Regis stay on our next stop in Venice just completed) and would stay at Relais San Croce again despite confusion. Check out clerk was excellent on March 14 2023 in early afternoon.

BCEG (10/5): 2nd trip to RELAIS SANTA CROCE by BAGLIONI - The hotel is small but they treat the guests like family and are very accommodating. It is a very special place. My only complaint is the breakfast which is included is not what I have seen at other 5 star hotels in Europe. Every thing else is 5-6 stars
Ali (5/5): Dissapointed - All the staff were nothing less then amazing and made the hotel experience a lot better Unfortunately the hotel did not meet our expectations as it is one of the most expensive hotels in Florence. Firstly, the rooms are very bare and a single bed in only 2 single beds pushed together and covered by one cover. The hotel also has absolutely nothing to do at all and the very little facilities that it have has to offer close very early and are not special at all. The cleanliness was ok, and the location was not ideal given the price and other locations.
