The wifi seems quite restrictive as to which sites are accessible. I understand that the Chinese government controls which sites are approved and which are not, but it seemed restrictive even in light of that.

The placement of the tub is awkward and makes it difficult for us to get in and out of the bathroom area. We like to keep the bathroom doors closed. Every time we want to get into the bathroom to wash our hands, we have to squeeze past the tub. Not convenient

- Wajda (6/5): Unable to control the room temp after changing three rooms. It's an issue. - Staff were helpful and kind we moved to three rooms because we were unable to regulate the heat nor the AC. During the day the room was very warm on one side of the hotel but we could not regulate the AC and hardly slept at night because it was so hot in the room. We moved to the other side and it was too cold during the day be we could not regulate the heat. This is a common problem in China because it's a communist country that regulates everything. BUT to pay Western prices I expect Western conveniences like being able to turn the heat up or down to get the comfort level I prefer.

- THIAN (4/5): - Spacious room We previously stayed at the Beijing Howard Johnson, a 4-star hotel, and the difference compared to this 5-star hotel was quite significant. On the positive side, the room was spacious and well-equipped with amenities. However, the service quality did not meet 5-star standards. When ordering food delivery, we had to collect it ourselves from a locker. Similarly, when receiving Taobao parcels, I had to walk about 100 meters in the dark to a remote spot to retrieve them. Although I didn’t request full housekeeping service, I did ask for the bins to be cleared. I even placed them outside to avoid disturbing my partner, yet the staff handled it noisily and carelessly, waking him up. Overall, this property does not live up to a 5-star rating. Additionally, the location is quite inconvenient — there’s no nearby public transport, and getting to the main town area takes about 30 minutes.

For non-Chinese speakers, this hotel is fantastic. The check-in and check-out process was incredibly smooth. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff impeccable. The only minor downside was the breakfast, which leaned a bit too heavily on sweet, comfort-food items—but this was hardly a dealbreaker. Overall, a highly recommended stay!

- Aljosa (8/5): So so - I really don’t know how to explain. That was my third time in this hotel. I don't know how to describe it. This was my third stay at this hotel in a month and a half. The employees don't know how to be friendly and don't understand that the hotel lives off regular customers! They make you feel like you can be happy to talk to them. The only exception is Giacomo and the guys who accept luggage. The worst are the employees in the dining room! Unfriendly and unprofessional…….

The cleanliness is at a high level and the staff, especially Mr. Giacomo, is at the highest level. Everyone would like to have such an employee! The only thing that should change is that they should hire more English-speaking people at the reception...

They have a stable internet connection and food was delicious. Special thanks to Mr. Michael the director of sales and marketing

- Cárpeti (9/5): Excellent hotel, clean and well maintained. - Excellent room, like a new, perfectly clean. The room was silent, with no external noise. The reception was 100% supportive and nice communication. Highlighting the Italian guy who was so professional, and the communication with him was excellent. The breakfast is plentiful and has a wide selection. However, it was winter, the sun heated the rooms during the day to more than 30C. The A/C cooling did not work. This is understandable from the aspects of cost-saving and environmental protection. But 30C was too warm. The spa area is not up to the standard of this hotel. It would be nice to improve.
