- Verified traveler (6/5): Eh, no thanks. - We were locked out of our suite even though we had paid for late checkout. While that was eventually resolved, the inconvenience continued—our electricity hadn’t been restored, and I had to call the front desk to get the lights turned back on. We also discovered the pool was closed for renovation, but only after we asked about it. The hotel does provide free transportation to the beach, though we didn’t use it as we had a flight to catch that afternoon. Breakfast was limited in variety, but the staff was courteous. The gym, though small, was well equipped and had an instructor on site. Overall, our first stay at the Kempinski Dubai was quite a maddening experience.

- M Usman (4/5): Disappointed! - As a solo couple who travel frequently and stay at luxury hotels every year (most recent being the Mandarin Oriental), I must say we’re extremely disappointed with Kempinski, a place we so looked forward to staying. Staying here for 6 nights at the Grand Deluxe (Suit), here’s what we observed: - For a luxury 5-star, the air-conditioning is poor (we switched rooms, same issue). - House keeping is not even as good as a regular 4-star hotel. They’ll disturb you every morning at 9:30 or so unless you have a DND sign on, and in that case, they won’t make up your room till late in the evening. - Buffet breakfast is just average, nothing special. If you want to know what special is, check Mandarin Oriental. - Hospitality is not even close to a luxury 5-star. From check-in to check-out, nothing special at all for the money you’re paying. The list goes on but keeping it short, I wouldn’t be staying here ever again and spend my money elsewhere for sure!

- Ashok (6/5): Need service with a smile. - It was a long awaited trip and considering the proximity to the shopping centre and my past experience ( 18 years back) chosen this property to surprise my family. Paid a premium for a three night stay wherein I had the opportunity to have stayed at Armani hotel for the price. The shuttle service driver at airport was very professional , pleasing and prompt. Despite giving all details and opted for upgrade , was asked to pay about 2000 dollars per night for a chalet upgrade (per night) and have made all the payments upfront and it took almost 30 minutes for a checkin after a 22 hr long flight. Could have been better if opted some water or some refreshments. Had given requests and opted to pay for to keep some local dates, chocolates, for my wife and son as a surprise and found none of them being there. Called the coincerige almost 3 times to remind them and waited till 11pm . The corner suite lot of space was wasted , could have used it better. No cutleries in the room, there was a drip leakage in the toilet from the bulb on top. couple of time the room was not even cleaned and bed not folded. the perfume in the entire floor was so so overpowering that we had to close the nostrils to avoid getting a head ache. Raised the issue the day before departure, and the service was much better after that and they tried to offer a complimentary ride to airport. I am from the service industry too, there was hardly any who was smiling and greeting u throughout.. Little disappointed

Concierge welcome service not great. As good as a basic hotel on this occasion.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Disappointed traveler - Cash went missing after housekeepers made my room the first morning during my stay. The loss was reported to the executive housekeeper, the security manager and two other Kempinski team members once I noticed the loss after breakfast on the same day. I was told not to report to the police and let the Kempinski team to investigate. Investigation by the Kempinski team was done after one day, and nothing was found. I then decided to report to the police. The Kempinski team offered no assistance, tried to brush me off and rejected my request to cancel the rest of the booking (7 nights booking). I had serious concern about my personal safety and the safety of my belongings during the stay at Kempinski. The loss and the response of the Kempinski team caused not only monetary loss but also emotional stress. Terrible disappointment.

She ask him if he can get a connected room. he said that I don’t have a connecting roomand when she said she will leave she will not stay in the hotel and duty manager he called. He said we can give you a connected room during that time they were very upset and they left the hotel he promised he will refund all the money.

My only drawback was I requested couple of fever reduction pills at night so they sold me a relief package that includes many stuff (condoms, stuff for ladies and other things) that I didn’t need.. Other than that all was good.

- Porter (8/5): A mix of good, excellent and not-so-good - I have mixed feelings. The first room I was assigned smelled of cigarettes smoke and it took a while for them to find me a new room, although eventually they did any it was fine, although it did not have the view I had requested and was very noisy due to proximity to the highway. They did call me after two days to offer to move me to a quieter room with a nicer view, which was exceptional customer service. I would also say that the location has its advantages and disadvantages. On the plus side, if you like to shop, it is literally connected to the Mall of the Emirates. So you are only 3 mins from food and shopping and do not even need to go outside of the weather is hot. However, this also means it is not really relaxing like if you stayed on the Palm J or at the Marina. Even by the pool, there was always lots of traffic noise.

Since I was staying with my family ( wife & 2 kids ), the receptionist gave us a room with a great view with Burj Al Arab right in front. The room service staff kept the rooms so perfectly clean and ordered that my wife, who has OCD about cleanliness, was completely at ease and actually enjoyed coming back to a immaculately cleaned room - callout for Atul & Team. We didnt eat much at Apsen restaurant but whenever we did the food was delicious. Valet service was great - callout for Fernando and team. One of the highlight for my daughters was the pianist in the evening - she helped create great vibes with her notes. This was my first vacation in Dubai with my kids and we made many great memories while staying at Kempinski. I WILL STAY AGAIN @ KEMPINSKI.

- Angelo (10/5): Affordable Luxury - This hotel is just great! The staff is fantastic. They make you feel as if you're the most important guest and they treat you accordingly. My room was perfect. Room service was impeccable. The restaurants, Olea, Aspen and Salero, are excellent. The swimming pool, the business center with access to computers, EVERYTHING is working as it should. It is adjacent to the Mall of the Emirates, ideal if you like shopping. It is a very short walk to the Metro station, which works like a charm. I stayed nine days and I could not find a single thing that was wrong or could be improved upon. I had tears in my eyes when I left.

- Karen (2/5): - I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. Our room was not ready until after 6:30pm. We were exhausted from our ride from Abu Dhabi. Our children were tired and hungry. Our room was not always restocked with daily amenities. And the room was not always cleaned properly. The staff was not friendly and sometimes slightly rude. When reaching out to make a complaint, it was not acknowledged by the staff. Upon checkout, no one wanted to load our taxi with our luggage. We stayed at the St. Regis for a few days before we got to Kempinsky, what a huge difference! Because of our disappointment, we decided to extend our hotel stay with Sofitel and left Kempinsky.

- Nassib (10/5): - A great Hotel in one of the best locations in Dubai.
- Ittai (10/5): Mostly excellent - Wonderful hotel. Very friendly staff. Stayed there for 5 nights. Breakfasts were great, with very pleasant service. Brahim, the server that catered us almost every morning was absolutely wonderful! Three comments: 1. Regarding accommodating feather-allergic guests: upon check-in, it took the hotel almost 2 hours and multiple visits by house keeping staff and managers to our room until they understood the simple request to change the down linens to synthetic. 2. Swimming pool seems smaller than how it appears in the photos, and mostly shaded during the morning-noon at this time of year, so the water is cold and uninviting. Didn't use it throughout our stay. 3. Aspen Cafe at the lobby is extremely expensive. A cup of cappuccino costs a staggering 40 Dirhams (almost $11).
