Odalar çok pis ve kokuyordu ve çok eski mobilyalardı. Resmen giriş yaparken 3 kere oda değiştirdik pislik içindeydi odalar. Elemanlar hiç güler yüzlü değildi ve hiç yardımcı olmadılar bize Özgür bey haric. Özgür bey bizle çok ilgilendi. Hayatımda bu kadar berbat bi hotele gitmedim çarşafları bile pisti başkaların idrar lekeleri vardı.

Instead of resolving an issue with our booking, they pushed the responsibility onto us and offered no real support. Even when we asked to speak with the manager, nothing was handled professionally. The attitude at reception was particularly rude, which made us feel quite uncomfortable during our stay. On top of that, the overall quality of the hotel did not match the price. The breakfast was especially poor and lacked basic quality. There are many much better hotels in Istanbul for the same price. I would strongly recommend choosing somewhere else.

Großes bekanntes Einkaufszentrum fussläufig erreichbar. Das Personal war sehr nett freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es ist sauber. Die Unterkunft hat lediglich die Zimmer in einem Stockwerk renoviert. Die Fotos dieser Zimmer werden bei der Buchung Zimmerauswahl angezeigt, man bekommt diese jedoch definitiv nicht. Dies ist bewusste Täuschung. Die restlichen Zimmer sind in einem sehr alten verbrauchten Zustand, auch wird in vielen Zimmern geraucht, es stehen Aschenbecher zur Verfügung obwohl das Rauchen eigentlich verboten wäre. Mir wurde zwar aufgrund meiner Beschwerde ein Zimmer in einem etwas besseren Zustand angeboten allerdings nicht das was ich gebucht habe.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. What really stood out was the staff’s friendliness and attentiveness—they go above and beyond to help in every way. The breakfast had a good variety and was delicious. This hotel is a great choice for both business and leisure stays. We definitely plan to stay here again on our next visit to Istanbul. - Harun (5/5): Teleurstellen en geluidsoverlast!! - Kan niet echt iets noemen hiervoor Naast het hotel zijn ze bezig met het bouwen van een gigantisch appartement wat ontzettend veel geluidsoverlast geeft. Hierover is niets vermeld vooraf. Ook is het interieur toe aan vervanging dit is maximaal een 3 sterrenhotel. Sauna mag je gebruiken maar er is geen warm water.

- peterwK6710DB (4/5): Not the five-star experience advertised - I chose this hotel for my final night in Istanbul before a long haul flight back to New Zealand, based on its five star rating and how it is presented online. I was expecting a quiet, comfortable and premium stay. Unfortunately, the experience fell well short of that. Before arrival, I requested a non smoking room, a higher floor, and an airport transfer. The transfer was clearly listed on the reservation with my flight details. On arrival at the airport, there was no driver, no signage, and no contact from the hotel. I spent a significant amount of time walking around the airport trying to locate a transfer that simply did not exist. Multiple emails had already gone unanswered, and the hotel does not use WhatsApp like most properties now do. After a long international flight, I had no choice but to organise my own taxi. When I arrived at the hotel and raised this at reception, I was told they do not check the email address listed on their own website and booking documents. There was no apology and no meaningful explanation, despite the transfer being clearly stated on the reservation. Check in was slow and impersonal. There was no sense of welcome or service you would normally associate with a five star property. I was given a smoking room despite requesting non smoking. Although staff said this was not an issue, the room clearly showed long term smoking use, including an ashtray, yellowed fittings, and visible wear. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the condition was tired and dated. Peeling wallpaper, marked flooring, and worn finishes made it feel far removed from anything resembling a luxury hotel. Noise was a major issue. Sound insulation was extremely poor. I could clearly hear footsteps and movement from the room above, noise from the corridor, and constant traffic outside throughout the night, even with the window closed. I have stayed in many hotels internationally, including lower rated properties, and this was among the worst for noise. Staff interactions throughout were cold and dismissive. Even basic expectations such as complimentary drinking water were not met, with additional water being charged despite the tap water not being drinkable. This hotel might be acceptable for a very cheap one night stay with low expectations, possibly for people attending nearby medical clinics. It is not suitable for anyone seeking a genuine five star experience. The main issue is the misrepresentation of the hotel’s current standard, combined with poor service and a lack of attention to basic guest experience, starting from the moment you land.

The reception doesn’t provide wi-fi before you check in after 2 pm. The breakfast is simple and they can’t service you, if there are more than 5 people in the restaurant. I paid crazy money for this room as you well see everything is old, broken and the smell is disgusting. I don’t recommend. Simply choose another hotel. Last year I was at Crowne Plaza Istanbul Tuzla Viaport Marina By IHG and the hotel is simply phenomenal for the same amount of money. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed from Surmeli hotel. Far away from a 3-star hotel and what about 5 stars…. ☹️

- samuelrX2058GY (10/5): Great food and Experience. - First time I've been to Istanbul and the hotel and buffet experience is wonderfully would highly recommend. The kitchen manager Kazim runs a very lovely experience. The food is great. 10/10.

- V9902MYsams (4/5): Such a shame! Its a scam! - I just can say poor in every part, This is 3 star hotel not a 5 star, Rooms are so old and many things didnt work in the room. The staff were kind and nice but they were not trained at all. Such a busy area . Its such a shame for a 5 star hotel to not have proper chair in the room.
- Lewis (8/5): - The hotel was clean and quite comfortable, but the main part of me writing this review is due to the exceptional customer service I received from the staff. Everyone was very good but I have to give a special commendation to Mr Burak & Mr Ozgur and the gentleman in the restaurant that was attending to breakfast. These 3 gentlemen are the epitome of customer service and how guests should be treated. They went above and beyond on every occasion possible. The hospitality industry is not easy and I travel a lot and stay in many hotels. I can honestly say I received some of the best service from these to Gentlemen that I ever have. I will be back in Istanbul at some-point and there are many hotel choices locally, some that may even have higher ratings online but the service I received from all the staff here but particularly these 3 gentlemen, will make me come back to this hotel. I hope the management do take note and recognise this as they are a huge asset to your business. These are the type of people that should be first in line when it comes to promotions or delivering training and development to others.

- Darren (6/5): Decent location, rooms need a major refurb. - The location. The rooms were in desperate need of a makeover. The price of food and drinks in hotel was unbelievably expensive, there was not 1 person the whole trip eating or drinking there. Did not see any other guests in hotel in 5 days.

- Susan (6/5): - The hotel was pleasant enough but quite dated. The decor is beige and again dated springs to mind, room facilities are basic there are no usb ports, no plug for the bath, no iron and ironing board in the room, it lacks finishing touches. The spa was closed but this was not made clear prior to booking. On the positive side staff servicing the room were very pleasant and considerate and the room cleanliness was of a high standard.
- Aseem (8/5): Short but value for money. - room was prepared for 3 persons prior to our arrival. The lighting on the floors which were not occupied were not on. It showed that not all the floors were in use.
- michelleandjohnw (6/5): No thanks - The room as basic clean and comfortable. Breakfast, please don’t pay for this, there was a bakery up the road and his was much nicer. He has lovely coffee and pastries for a fraction of the cost of stale bread, salad and coffee. The cereal was not nice!! Drinks behind the bar were apparently priced ridiculously!! No glass around the poolside (unless bought from their bar) soft drinks appeared to be acceptable regardless of where purchased. The lady “patrolling” the poolside was rude, intrusive, gawping and trying to check people’s bags (lord knows what for). This is not a tourist hotel and we were not there for this purpose. Security did not check any bags, but pool staff do!! Not very friendly other than the odd security guard. I felt like we were a bit of an inconvenience frankly and would really rather not stay here again.
- SHAHNAZ (10/5): - We stayed up to 6 night, the room, pool and in general all hotel very clean. The staff very polite, friendly and helpful. I didn’t feel I am at the hotel, feels like in home. It was nice stay in Istanbul.

- Compass39364123825 (10/5): Excellent - The hotel was very clean and tidy, will clean room everyday most the staff are very friendly and polite, specially Mr Ozgur and Mr Suleyman. We arrived 7 hours before our check in but Mr Suleyman gave us room early than 2pm………………………:::::……..

- sheisj (10/5): Highly recommend - My experience in this hotel was amazing. My room was clean- Bedsheets and towels were changed every morning without me noticing when or the necessity to request it. They almost knew the right time to come in. Their breakfast is healthy and offers variety of salty and sweet foods. The hotel also offers a healthy centre with a gym, relaxation room, sauna, steaming and hamam bath room on the 14th floor facing the sea and the entire city! This space is peaceful and serene. What I loved most was the staff! They were all helpful. From the reception, to the restaurant, to the security and the SPA I want to personally thank the hotel for surprising me with a cake and candles for my birthday, and Suleman who helped me with few tips to get taxis and go to shops smartly! I highly recommend also because it is situated in location where you can reach anywhere by walk or 20min of drive.

Everyone, from the security guy at the door, to the ladies cleaning the rooms..all fantastic I would thoroughly recommend this hotel a real home from home....
